Tron: The Animated Series (1986-1989)
What do you mean you haven't seen Tron: The Animated Series? It was my favorite cartoon when I was a kid!
So this all started as an exercise in how to explain why Sam inexplicably had merch for a 2010 movie in his 1989 house. In-universe there would have probably been toys using the 1982 aesthetic since that was what the video game used (and Sam DOES have an 82 Tron figure in his house!) but why the Grid stuff?
Enter THE CARTOON.
It was the 1980s everybody who was everybody made cartoons to sell toys. Encom made home gaming consoles by this point, and they would have had peripherals like Nintendo did. They had licensed characters like Nintendo did. You see where I am going.
Encom wants to sell Encom Gaming Power Gauntlets. Kevin wants to introduce kids to the ideas about the Digital Frontier since he's a futurist and knows kids will be mentally flexible enough to digest the new zeitgeist if it's fun and animated!
Production of the cartoon ran from Kevin's official retirement as CEO until his disappearance. Three official seasons with a fourth in production. Season three's airing was cut short due to the furor surrounding Kevin's going missing, but the "lost" final episodes of S3 were restored when the DVDs were eventually released for an anniversary collection.
The cartoon was also successful in syndication through the 1990s and early 2000s since it successfully anticipated the Educational/Informative movement-- Tron: The Animated Series actually does teach kids some of the basics of computer science around the silly adventure stuff. Think Captain Planet meets Captain N the Game Master for the overall tone of the series. It's not realistic, but you get the general concepts and issues.
The cartoon's popularity among millennials keeps Tron alive in pop culture to the present day. The IP remains a perennial revenue stream for Encom, and every so often they'll throw the fanbase something to keep the money going. (This is an ordeal to the program himself, since he has to deal with hackers sent by groups named after him on the reg.)
What's it about?
Young video game enthusiast Jethro "Jet" Keene lands himself the after school internship of a lifetime getting to work at Encom in a special new program for teenagers with attitude run by Kevin Flynn (voiced by himself).
However, it's not all fun and video game testing with the sweet new Encom Power Gauntlet. Thanks to some cartoon physics hijinks, Jet finds himself transported into the Grid, the Boss's new experimental computer system!
Jet gets to work with Clu (they hired a voice-alike for him) and Tron (ditto) to find a way back home to the real world, solving problems and learning how to code along the way... and that was the pilot episode.
Because this is a cartoon for children, Jet is naturally the regular User of the Grid instead of Flynn, though Flynn makes occasional appearances to dispense Yoda-like wisdom and is revered by all the programs inside the system as the Creator.
There are also no lasers or anything like that-- Jet does a silly toku-like thing with the power gauntlet to commute into the system.
Clu is more likable than in real life. He's mostly benevolent, trying to make a more perfect system but the show's writers actually picked up on the idea that making a perfect system is kind of an impossible lift and made it central to his character development. He's a little obsessed with copying the User world, and there's an arc in S3 where a lot of the conflict revolves around why can't programs be programs about it.
Tron's not a mayhem goblin, which is a crime. He's portrayed as a little bit Optimus Prime, since Jet's the primary mayhem source, and Fighting for the Users is otherwise his defining personality trait. He gets a surprisingly deep fate/free will arc in S2, since naturally several episodes revolve around attempts to reprogram him since he's the Champion and all. Afterward, he's a bit more chill.
Jet's storyline parallel's Kevin's real-life one a little bit-- a lot of the episodes focused on him as a character revolve around him trying to balance his double life. The cartoon also does not mention the time dilation jetlag. Jet, unlike Kevin, does learn how to ask for help, especially as S3 decides to diversify a little more and adds a girl intern, Paige.
S3 in general has a lot of emphasis on diversity and tolerance of others and their differences. The ISO-Basic tensions were running high in the real Grid. It was on Kevin's mind a lot. He was also starting to make thinks on introducing the ISOs to the rest of the world at the time.
Like Reboot in the 1990s, Tron has a lot of episodes devoted to video games and playing games on the Game Grid is a frequent trope. (Hardcore Tron partisans accuse Reboot of stealing this.) Unlike in Reboot, there's no derezzing the losers if the User wins. Games are sometimes the entire plot and sometimes an obstacle or diversion from solving an episode's actual problem.
Since the Grid is open in Tron, there is a recurring cast of villains in the form of viruses and hackers from other systems in addition to technical problems that have to be solved through coding and computer science know-how.
The fourth season didn't get much past a few animatics for the S4 pilot, but what was there got a release for the fancy anniversary collections as special features. Design docs indicate that some new characters were about to be introduced-- Jalen and Radia. Kevin Flynn disappeared while voice actors were being cast for these roles.
NGL I am extremely mad this wasn't a real cartoon.

Tron: TAS - the best character
I was feeling nostalgic tonight about one of my favorite series when I was a kid. And because it's late, and I'm awake I want to talk about it. Particularly, I want to talk about Turing - my favorite character from Tron: The Animated Series.
What? You don't remember Turing? He was a recurring villain in season one and had that awesome face heel-face turn in season two, during the episodes where Tron got reprogrammed. And he was voiced by Tim Curry to make it even more awesome! How can you not remember Turing?
No one thought that much of Turing during season one, both in the show, and as far as people watching it were concerned. He was a program that was vaguely reminiscent of Dr. Wily from the Ruby-Spears Megaman cartoon, but instead of being the main villain of the season, he was kind of like the Mandarin in Season 1 of the 90s Iron Man Cartoon - before he became the big villain in season 2. Mandarin that is - not Turing. So kind of like a recurring mad scientist character who stole every scene he was in back in season 1, but they used him sparingly, both because Tim Curry was expensive, and also because the action was focused more around Jet, Tron, Clu, and all of the other good guys, like cartoons often are. (Though the behind the scenes stuff I've found said that Tim Curry was actually totally on board with being on the show and he had a lot of fun with the role).
For example, there was this one episode in Season 1, where it was the obligatory Christmas Episode (TM) that every 80s and 90s kids cartoon was contractually obligated to have. But since the cartoon was set in The Grid, that meant that programs didn't really understand Christmas. So it was this whole mess of Clu doing what he did and trying to copy the User World to make the perfect system, people saying Christmas every five seconds until it stopped sounding like a real word, and Jet, who was agonizing about whether or not he would be able to be home with his family for Christmas. And in the midst of all of this, Turing swans in to "Steal Christmas" for some nebulous reason, complete with tacky glowing accented Santa Suit, because he's a program and what else would he be wearing? He also was trying to goad Tron into stealing Christmas back, even though it was completely contradictory to his plans, because Tron was the Champion and that's what he was supposed to do.
As silly as it sounds, that honestly was my favorite season 1 episode with Turing in it. Turing had these ideas about how Tron was the Champion, and he was supposed to fight for the Users, but then would also be Very Put Out that Tron wasn't actually doing things for the programs in the system, since the system is where he actually lived, and all his stuff was there. Turing would also go back and forth about if the Users actually existed, because he had never met his, or any other User personally, and how do you prove something is real without data, or evidence to back it up? So Turing, especially Season 1 Turing, would sometimes vacillate wildly between hecking up Tron's day, because who cared about the Users (and also just being a menace), and also going on about how Tron was supposed to protect the programs in the system, and if he wasn't, then he was Doing It Wrong.
Season 1 Turing was kind of a mess. And I don't think the writers really knew what they wanted to do with him. But it was fun, and when he would show up his appearances were always memorable. Tim Curry hadn't reached the utter unhingedness of his Red Alert 3 SPACE scene, but he was doing great work all the same. Think of Mal back in Captain Planet, but dialed up more. But then came Season 2 and all that changed.
Season 2 had this arc about midway through it where another program, Asimov, who was Distinctly More Evil than Turing could ever hope to be, got ahold of Tron and reprogrammed him. Asimov was kind of like the Mr. Sinister of Tron: TAS, as he was interested in code, and what a Program's code destined them to be, or gave them the potential to do, and what could potentially happen if you tried to mix the code of two different programs together. Asimov was honestly terrifying for a kids show, but that's a rant for another day. The point is, he reprogrammed Tron into a cross between Rinzler and The Terminator, and gave this whole long monologue about Tron's code dictating this and it being Tron's destiny to reformat the system, and how this is what he was created to do. (Aside note: Asimov was voiced by Peter Fricking Cullen, playing amazingly against type. Freedom is the right of all sentient beings, but apparently not if your name is Tron.) Also, this was a three parter (the only one in the series, actually), and the first part ended on a cliffhanger, with the reveal of reprogrammed!Tron, whose circuits were glowing red. I'm sure that me, and a lot of the other kids that watched it yelled at their TVs when they saw that.
So. All hope seems lost. Tron is a bad guy. The Grid is doomed, right? Wrong. Because in the beginning of the second episode of this three part saga, Turing shows up. He is incensed. His nemesis/frenemy/most boon companion (yes, he used that descriptor) has been compromised. And while he and Tron have never seen eye to eye, that doesn't mean that he is destined to do anything like destroy the system. So Turing, who is So Extra, breaks into where Jet, Clu, and the rest of Team Good Guys are and gives an full on presentation (complete with pictures) of why they are going to rescue Tron, and how he is going to take point. This leads to a lot of arguing and shouting about how Turing even knows this is going on, and Turing being downright offended at even the hint that he is working with Asimov. There's talk of friendship, and Turing points out that neither Jet, nor any of the rest of Team Protag will be able to reprogram Tron, but Turing will be able to, since he's Just That Good. Clu seems to be gearing up to counter all of the reasons this is stupid and why it won't work (and why they can't just call Flynn and get him to fix Tron), when Tron and Asimov show up, intent on annihilating everyone. End of the second episode.
This is the part that I remind you all that this was your typical Saturday Morning Cartoon and that meant you were waiting a week for all of this to get resolved, which is an eternity when you're in the first grade.
So. The conclusion. Tron was standing there about to kill all the guys and reformat the system. Asimov is winding up to give another long villain monologue. Team Protag is very conflicted, because Tron is their friend, but he also doesn't seem to know who they are. Jet believes in himself and gives a speech about friendship. Clu tries to do the same, but it's Clu, so that doesn't really work and he ends up just telling Tron to stop being dumb, but it does give a really nice insight into his and Tron's friendship. Unfortunately, Tron is unmoved by this, and his circuits seem to start glowing even redder. And then Turing steps up. And since this is an 80s cartoon, there aren't going to be any more friendship speeches, because the writers have figured that the kids are bored with all the talking and there needs to be action. So it figures that there would be an action sequence, right? Wrong. Turing doesn't give a speech about friendship, oh no. He basically gives fricking Asimov a lecture about how if this was Tron's destiny, he would have reformatted the system a long time ago, and Asimov clearly doesn't know what he's talking about since Tron is just standing around looking redder than Turing did when he tried to steal Christmas (and yes they actually bring that up). Jet uses the distraction to throw a disc or fire a laser or something at Asimov (because again, 80s kids cartoon), and that actually does cause Asimov to retreat. Turing takes the opportunity to apologize for what he's about to do, before knocking Tron out, and then undoing Asimov's reprogramming.
Turing actually does explain (while Clu and Jet watch him very closely) that sure, he could reprogram Tron into someone that was easier to get along with, but that would make him just like Asimov, and who wants that? Tron is understandably very upset when he finally is back to his normal self, and the implications of the reprogramming and getting better from it last throughout the rest of Season 2, though Tron does mellow out a bit after he gets better from being reprogrammed. And Turing ends up as a recurring good guy after that, and while he doesn't show up in every episode, he is a more frequent presence than he was in season 1. (Though we don't really talk about the weird arc he had in season three. It was dumb, and he got better, so it's better left forgotten.)
(So @teh-kittykat - how did I do?)

I drew some delicious glowy Tron guys because I love that movie so much. The original one has such good designs but most people have only seen the new one. Got kinda obsessed and made little backstories for each of these guys.

this is the most self indulgent chubformers tar.n/ma thing i've ever cooked up-
tw: being weird about medical procedures and doing unnecessary injections. also phar/ma harms ta/rn on purpose out of revenge? lust? i mean. it's phar/ma the queen of medical malpractice idk what you want from me-
look i need ta/rn to be useless and pathetic and unfit to lead the dj.d so he's stuck in his hab 24/7 with phar/ma - at least when the doctor is actually around. most of the time, ta/rn is all alone stuck in his berth (as he needs help to get out) hooked up to alll these little monitors that phar/ma said he 'needs'. he can only stare at the ceiling and whimper and whine and repeatedly comm phar/ma and cry about how he wishes the medic would just come back alreadyyy (phar/ma ignores most of the comms-)
When phar/ma does come back from work he's grouchy and lashes out at ta/rn - ta/rn lets it go bc he loves his medic and knows his job it stressful so it's okay right? phar/ma comes over to check on the drips he has connected to ta/rn and give him his daily injections but he's too rough and misses the veins several times and doesn't warn him before the big pokes come; ta/rn stays silent, forcing back tears
phar/ma ignores his protests for cuddles and goes to rinse off in the solvent. under the guise of trying to help ta/rn get better, he makes ta/rn get up to walk around the hab a bit before going to bed. they go to the kitchen so ta/rn finally gets a few solid foods in. phar/ma complains about his day and ta/rn just listens and doesn't offer advice, just like he was taught...
On days off ta/rn is given many more injections; they make him feel ill and shaky and like he's starving and he hates it but he trusts the medic - besides he's given all the food he craves for on these days in order to lessen the 'unfortunate but harmless side-effects'. phar/ma all but bows to his wishes on these days and actually seems to care for ta/rn; it makes all the other days of the week in their relationship seem less depressing.
phar/ma is supposed to be helping him reduce his weight...ta/rn hasn't seen a single change. he honestly feels like he's gotten bigger, but what motive would phar/ma have? he's only under the medics full-time care in their hab because of his own begging to be cured of his binging that forced him out of his spot in the d.jd - and worst of all out of mega/tron's favor. of course, his t/cog issue is gone now that he's too fat to trans.form - but now his vents constantly shut off and his head hurts and he's weak and craves energon like a starving mech even though he's being provided more than enough sustenance. he wants to get better. he will get better.
but not if phar/ma has anything to say about it...

Susie Haltmann's Rapid Descent into Programming Hell
Susie: So!
Susie: Program no-one's seen before, in a coding language that doesn't seem to make any sense, and it's actively hostile and slightly psychic. Estimated chances of success are functionally zero and failure isn't an option.
Lag: That does sum it up nicely, yes.
Susie: In that case, we should be done by Tuesday. *deploys her visor and heads over to a console* Alright boys, let's get to work!
Ienzo: ...Is she being motivational, or narcissistic?
Lag: Yes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*A Few Hours Later...*
Susie's console: *loud error noise*
Susie: Darn it! You slippery little fudger!
Susie:
Susie: Frick.
Susie: Shoot. Witch. Heck. Seriously!?
Lea: *shrugs* Disney.
Susie, full of contempt: Disney...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Much, Much Later...*
Abyss blob: *lightly splats against the side of its container*
Ienzo: *looks up* What?
Susie, laser-focused: ah-HAH! Got you now, you little bastard! ...Oh sure, that one still works.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Later Still...*
Susie: Okay, am I the only one who isn't AFK right now?
*sounds of fighting in the background*
Tron: I'm still here, miss Haltmann.
Susie: And I appreciate it, but since you are the computer it'd be a bit hard for you to not be here.
*more violence*
Susie: Seriously, how many people does it take to babysit a booger?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*You Know The Drill*
Susie, visibly surviving on nothing but coffee and spite: Okay, seriously, I only have two hands! *grabs a nearby Soldier Heartless by the collar, because the situation she's mostly oblivious to has gotten That Bad* YOU! Do You Remember How To Type?
Soldier: *tries slashing at her*
Susie: *immediately pulls out her blaster and shoots it between the eyes, then points it at three others nearby as the first one dissipates* How about you guys?
Soldiers: *nod shakily, having just rediscovered the ability to feel fear*
Susie: Great! You're my new research assistants! Get to a keyboard and follow the prompts on the screen.
Ansem: *is momentarily distracted from the battle by this display* I'm sorry, is your friend commanding the Heartless?
Lag: Well, she is a capitalist, so I'd say her heart's probably dark enough for it. Just be glad she's using her powers for good.
Ansem: Fair enough.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Yep, Still Going...*
Goofy: *gets launched back into the computer area and decides to check in on things while catching his breath* Hey, miss Susie! How ya doin'?
Susie: *types frantically, then snarls and slams her head into the desk* This doesn't make any sense! There's no reason for this code to be so coordinated, it's Just! RANDOM! FREAKING! GARBAGE!
Goofy: Hmmm...leans over the back of her chair to get a look at the screen...and admittedly doesn't understand any of it* ...Well, I don't claim ta know much about computers, but if what's written ain't the thing doin' the thinkin', maybe it's whatever they wrote it into?
Susie: *sits stalk-straight and blinks*
Susie: That...that has potential. *starts typing again, even faster than before, and yet more focused* Yes, just need to- and over here...move those aside...
Susie: *freezes completely*
Goofy: ...Miss Susie?
Susie: *lifts up her visor* It fits.
Goofy: Huh?
Susie: IT FITS! I know what we're dealing with now! *laughs in relief and excitement, launching out of her chair and grabbing him by the cheeks* Oh you brilliant beautiful mutt I'd kiss you if I had a mouth!
Goofy: Aw, gawrsh, I didn't do much, just thought out loud a bit.
Susie: And your idle thoughts may have just saved everyone ever, especially Abyssal once someone finally finds her! *tuns over to where all the commotion is* LAG! Lag, we figured...out...uh...
*at this point, the blob takes up about half the room, and is covered with various colorful-and deadly- appendages and has a messy, lopsided bastardization of the Heartless Emblem on what could generously be called its forehead. There are also several low-to-mid tier Heartless around the room, including her own Soldier assistants and one particularly unlucky Blue Rhapsody that the Blob is currently absorbing. nobody's dead yet, thank god, but most of them are clearly running on fumes*
Susie: ...How long has that been going on?
Goofy: Well, the blob got out yesterday, but it only started gettin' big and eatin' Heartless this mornin.'
Susie: ...Right. *activates her visor again* Deal with this now, make big reveal that we're essentially up against the computer's pissed-off hard-drive later.
Goofy: The computer's what now?
Susie: You know how nearly every creation myth starts with some variation on "in the beginning, there was nothing?"
Goofy: Yeah...
Susie: *summons her business suit and points at the blob* That's the Nothing. Or, well, only part of it. And it only used to be. It's complicated.
Goofy: I'll take yer word for it! *draws his shield and hops up on the suit's rim* Now, shall we?
Susie: It'd be my pleasure. *revs the suit's engines*
*they charge into the battle, with Goofy of course belting out a hearty "YAAAAH-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOOEYYYY!"*
(Goofy Logic for the Win. To be fair, his idea does have some basis in his own lived experience, considering what happened with Jiminy's Journal in Re: Coded. And also to be fair he was absolutely right in this case. What can I say, the dog's got good insight.)
(You can probably imagine the Tom and Jerry-style antics during the hours between the blob escaping and discovering it could use Heartless as a food source.)
I LOVE THIS A LOT. NO WORDS. THIS IS JUST. SO FUNNY AND GREAT AND JUST?? YES. Also the capitalist bit is my favorite lol

H.M. The King's speech to the people of Sweden
Tack!
Speech held by H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf at the Royal Palace in Stockholm on Sep. 15, 2023.

BATMAN X JOKER HUMAN AU
(I don’t own the artwork I just got it off Pinterest)
Chapter 1: Who Met Who First
I was in a room laughing as I notice the blood everywhere. I see my mama when I walk forward. She looked over with this sickeningly sweet expression on her face. I felt bliss in knowing I was installing that fear. Soon after I feel the laughter, it was abrupt and angered with insanity. When I look at mother, an item in her hand throws itself at me.
I wake up, opening my eyes with quick breaths and sweat pooling on my everything. It takes a minute before my eyes stop fearfully glancing everywhere before meeting my poster of "The Riddler" a talk show host. When My breathing was stable after laying there reminding myself it wasn't real. Who was it that... No I can't think like that anymore otherwise.
"Joe! It's time to wake up, sweetie," Mother yells upstairs, she must be busy with laundry.
My name is Joe Chill. I prefer my nick name at school "Joker" and I earned it. I get called that for several reasons. My mom calls me that cause of my jokes and silly tricks that make her happy. Not to mention the tricks I've played on my peers at school.
"Joker? Joe? Ah, there you are, how did you sleep?" she spoke in a calm voice smiling when sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Fine. I guess."
I looked down still tired.
"Awww, I know Joker but, it's your first day of high school! Oh my goodness, my little man is growing up and going to school-" she smothered me in motherly words and affection.
"Okay, mom you can let go now! Haha," I spoke while chuckling.
"I'm looking forward to some good things this year," I said with mischievous glee.
Any person that knew me would know that smirk I did wasn't just for laughs.
"Oh no you don't mister! No pranks this year not even if someone bothers you, even if they may or may not deserve it, " she said with a stern tone of voice saying the last part under her breath while walking back downstairs.
"But mom!" I loudly complained following right behind, "My whole class is probably waiting for my pranks. It's traditional!"
she gave a stern look to my dramatic argument.
"No buts. Say 'yes mom' and I'll send you on your way," she spoke standing there facing me.
"Yes mom," I said jokingly in a robot tone.
"Good. Oh, that reminds me, your sister Harleen is going to be at your school, too. A grade higher than you. Also go get dressed my Son-a-tron two thousand," She had spoken so nonchalantly I didn't react till it registered.
I was shocked at this statement. My sister Harley is for lack of better words a psycho she can be rough and violent, when needed but, she present herself as put together and is smarter than she'd admit. She's embarrassed me a lot of times at school, too. I love her to death but she can be annoying at times. One time I was getting bullied and nearly got into a fight she stepped in and got in the guys face. I mean yeah she tried to help but still I could handle myself.
"Please tell me she's not-" I said not even finishing my sentence.
"Yup she's moving back here forever her dad finally took the time and decided it was best if she was with me," she squealed in joy like she hasn't seen Harley in ages... It's only been a year.
Someone knocked at the door and mom rushed to answer it. Harley jumped straight in through the door with a front hand walk over then a cartwheel. She landed in front of me with a "ta-da" she said. She hugged me tightly till I gasped for air she then let me go.
"How's my little puddin doing?" She was practically beaming with excitement.
I shrugged with a chuckle. She hasn't called me that since we were kids. I was really confused by a mark on her upper arm. Like burn marks I frowned a little.
"uh-uh-uh turn that frown upside down I'm not gonna bother you all school semester unless someone gives you trouble," she winked and walked back to the door laughing while grabbing her things.
I'm sure I wasn't imagining those marks. I'll ask when she settles in more. I became intrigued when I heard a noise outside all of a sudden.
"What the?" I whispered to myself of course.
I walked to the door passing mom and Harley in a quizzical conversation. Peeking out the open doorframe I spot the old Cobblepot residence being looked at by a family bringing in luggages inside. Oh, they're moving in.
Just like that there they were... new neighbors. Why at a time like this? It seemed odd. I saw a thin women with good physic and she looks healthy, pretty, house wife I believe by her attire. A man with a muscular physic that most men had, sturdy, business man attitude. Then there was a little boy looking around my age he looks more buff than me. I studied him his facial features he had dark eyes, he had the perfect Chin, his smile had pearly whites just like mine. He had most beautiful black hair unlike me with messy green hair, he also had a tan going on I was a tad bit pale.
I was staring for too long analyzing him and his family I didn't notice he saw me and we shared glances. I was scared. What if he tries talking to me? What if he's a bully? I don't know these people. Looking over when back to reality he was speaking to his mom, pointed at my house, she looked over, smiled, nodded yes to something, and he was suddenly walking over here. I hid against the wall. Someone wants to meet me?
"Um, hello? Green hair guy?" His caramel apple voice was so close.
I peek out the door a little. I almost laughed at the startled look when I suddenly popped up.
"Ah, I'm sorry," I tried to contain my laughter, "yes?"
He fixed his outfit and nodded I'm guessing to compose himself. He cleared his throat then spoke.
"Where is your mother?" He spoke fancy and precise.
My nerves became hyper aware that I was talking to someone. Someone new. I was suddenly nervous and anxious.
"Ummm busy. Why?" I spoke quickly avoiding eye contact.
"Please, do get her."
"Mom! Door!" I yelled while turning towards the kitchen.
"My names Bruce by the way," He spoke so suddenly.
I almost lost my composure and screamed. I just simply turned and waved before fiddling with my fingers nervously. She was at the door in a flash looking at Bruce.
"Why hello there," she spoke in a joyful but confused tone.
I walked away to get ready considering I was in my Pajamas consisting of a Black t-shirt with purple and green HAHA's on it, and black fuzzy pants. I quickly brushed my teeth and hair, got dressed, grabbed my backpack, and headed downstairs. I walked back to see the other family talking to my mom.
"I'm so happy to see new faces in the neighborhood. Don't ever hesitate to ask for help from us," she said excited as I was confused.
"Thank you very much. We've come from so far it's nice to have a fresh start. Well I'm glad it's peaceful over in these parts," the woman sounded so elegant.
"We're happy to have you, mister and miss?" Mom has always been so polite she's a people person.
"Just call us Martha and Thomas. Oh, is this your son?" Martha spoke so precise and high class.
"Why yes this is. Say hi, Joe."
Giving a simple wave I try to give my best smile that hopefully didn't show my nerves.
"He's a little shy," mom said in that motherly way of 'he's still learning' or something like that.
"That's okay most kids are to new people. If it's not too much to ask do you think you could take our son to the school? We got here without looking at where it was," Martha had spoken apologetically.
"I'd be happy to help and afterwards I can help you guys move in if you'd like? It'd give us time for some girl talk and to get to know each other," Mom said friendly.
"Thank you very much, Penny." Martha said holding moms hand.
They said there gratitude towards each other and walked away. The boy went over and grabbed I'm assuming his backpack which looked like a briefcase. I looked down apologetically. Mom gave a confused look and realized.
"Joe it's okay. Eventually you'll be able to talk to people and make a lot of friends. Just for now let's just make some high school memories," Mom spoke reassuringly.
I look up at her smiling. She always knows what to say.
"Thanks mom. Let's bring harley, too," I said happily.
"No can do kiddo I got my own set of wheels, boo yah!" She said with a light punch to my shoulder.
"Alright you two! Now how about after school we go out for Chinese food to celebrate your first days, huh? Would you both like that?" She said enthusiastically.
I nodded my head smiling as did harley.
"Great Chinese it is then. Means I don't have to cook, haha," she laughed grabbing her car keys as Bruce walked back our way.
Me and Bruce hopped into my moms car as she smothered Harley in hug and kisses. I heard harley whining through the window and it made me laugh a little.
"What's your name?" Bruce asked bluntly.
"I- uh. You. Me?" I jumbled over my words.
"Haha, yeah you? Unless the car has a name, haha" He spoke shyly trying to break the ice.
"My- my name is Joe. Joe Chill."
"I like your hair, it's fluffy," He spoke nicely.
I became a flustered mess. I'm actually talking to someone. I can't believe it.
"You ready kids? Because mama has a Coffee with her name on it,"she said jokingly.
Me and Bruce chuckled and we were off to school. Let's hope nothing happens to change this day.

Następna rzecz to Kintaj i Iskra. Miałoby to kilka plusów.
A Iskra?
I tu właśnie wskakuje pytanie "Czy Żelazna Cytadela miałaby prawo bytu gdyby Anet wprowadziła nad do charrowej ojczyzny i tam byłoby miasto o mianie Iron Citadel?"
Wstaję i klaskam (not really, kręgosłup mnie napierdala w chuj)! No proszę państwa, wyobraźcie sobie stać na przeciwko Caudecusa w GW2 a on do was HEJ DOWÓDCO JESTEŚ NICZYM W PORÓWNANIU DO MOICH BIAŁYCH OKRYĆ!!!

More Tron: TAS character retrospective
Okay, I know I talked about Turing in my last post about Tron: The Animated Series. And I also mentioned Asimov. And if Turing is one of my favorite characters on the show, then Asimov is hands down my favorite villain.
In a show that had a rotating cast of villains (like a lot of cartoons back then did) Asimov was maybe the closest thing that this show had to a Big Bad. But because he was so powerful and so damn scary, they couldn't use him that much. He was introduced in Season 2, when he reprogrammed Tron, and maybe used in a total of ten episodes, tops, throughout the rest of the series. And three of those episodes were in the arc where he was introduced. So kind of like Ra's Al Ghul from Batman: TAS.
The thing that stuck with me then, and even moreso sticks with me now is how Asimov looked. He wasn't big or imposing like Apocalypse, or Darkseid, or Mr. Sinister. No. He was just Some Guy. Like he looked like an unassuming office drone. Which, okay, weird, but why would that stick out? Why would this random dude who should be working in a cubicle somewhere be noteworthy at all, let alone the scariest guy in the show?
Because he wasn't program coded.
I don't mean that he wasn't villain coded. He wasn't program coded at all. In a sea full of people that had some kind of lights on them, even the Users, Asimov didn't have any lights on him. Not red, not blue, not white, not whatever color Turing decided to make his circuits when he showed up. No obvious big stripes of color on him at all. No obvious circuit patterns either, come to think of it. The only part of him that glowed at all was his eyes. And they were gold. And even then, he had to be emoting in order for that to be noticeable. And yeah, his eyes were glowing Quite a Lot during the arc where he was introduced, but they kind of toned it down a bit in some of his later appearances.
Which honestly just made him scarier.
Like I said, it stuck out, because this unassuming nerdy office drone looking guy was the scariest character on the show. Part of me wishes he was in more episodes, but I get why he wasn't. Tron: TAS was never a show that was going to have a Big Bad. And for someone as powerful and scary as Asimov to actually retain his Villain Cred he had to be used sparingly.
I'm sad that there were only three seasons of Tron: TAS. I think it would have been really interesting to see how he handled the ISOs in Season 4, when they were going to be introduced. Especially since he was all about code and destiny. I think the ISOs would have thrown him for a loop. Or maybe he wouldn't have been perturbed by them at all, and would have decided that they somehow fit in to his grand design.
Which again, would have just made him scarier.

Purple's Second Chance
Master Post, Chapter One
CHAPTER TWO: IMPORTANT MEETING
"I was out doing some scouting when I stumbled across someone I never thought we'd see again." He spun the chair around. "Ta-da!"
Mikey gasped and floated toward him. He grabbed Donnie's face. "Donnie?"
The pre-teen, almost thirteen year old, boy came up and climbed onto the table. "Uncle Tello? I thought you were dead."
"What?" Donnie's eyes widened as he swatted Mikey's hand away.
"Two years ago," April cut in, "you got really, really sick from a Kraang infection and eventually died."
"The Kraang?"
Leo nodded. "When you and I were fifteen, the Foot Clan got a key that led to a realm where an alien race known as the Kraang were trapped. They freed the Kraang which have started invading the planet. We've been at war with them ever since," he explained calmly.
"Where's Raph and Papa?"
"Both dead. As is Cassandra."
"Oh."
"Do you know how you got here?" Mikey asked as he floated away from Donnie.
"I was in the store, getting stuff we needed to fix the lair after Shredder's attack. Then I fell through an orange portal."
"How long ago was the attack?"
"Three months ago."
April nodded with a hum. "So that would be three months before the Kraang came."
Casey sat next to Donnie and looked him up and down. This Donnie was so much shorter than his Uncle Tello. It was the same man, yet someone so different. He had been so close to Doctor Donatello (only Casey was allowed to call him anything else that wasn't Donnie, which his brothers and April were the only ones allowed to call him Donnie) and had taken it just as hard as Leo, Mikey, April, and Mister Draxum had.
Now, he had a second chance with his Uncle Tello. But now he didn't even remember him. He wasn't almost ten feet tall, instead just over five.
"Uncle Tello?"
"Sorry, kid. I don't know who you are."
"I'm Casey," Casey's voice sounded desperate. "Your nephew. You'd call me Jr or-or C-Double J."
"Not ringing a bell."
"But-but, I'm your nephew!"
"Case, remember, he's not the Donnie you know. Mikey, you and Draxum start figuring out ways to get him home. He shouldn't be living through this yet."
Mikey nodded. "Draxum should be returning from his mission with Todd soon. I'll consult the scrolls and see if our ancestors have any clues."
"Casey and I will give Don-Tron a tour of the new base. April, make sure no one bothers us. I don't wanna overwhelm him."
"Got it."
