TS4: Kawaii Pig Hot Pot & Decorative Items

Some time I saw this cute pig pan on the internet, and decided to create it as a CC. Then I thought "What about making it functional?", so I turned it into a functional hot pot ^^

🌸About this set:

- The hot pot comes in 12 different colors. But only the stove. The pan is always this cute pink pig ^^ And it’s functional :)

- There's a decorative version of the pan and of the lid.

- There's a decorative version of the stove. It comes with an effect that you can turn on/off by clicking on it. You can also place an object on the stove [picture].

-ability to build your own roller coasters

-new destination world

- more clown clothes and makeup

- cool circus costumes (but no bad animal stuff)

- fortune telling machines

- functional tents

-cute carnival rides (like carousels and stuff)

-new food stands (all fried)

-carnival games!!!!! Plus an annoying ticket system to get deco stuffed animals!

TS5?

Just hoping that my feedback message will be heard and read for what I would like to see in TS5. Here is what I wrote to them:

In case the Sims 5 is still in its beginning phase there are a few suggestions that I have to make gaming smoother for those playing on the pc.

I have been playing the sims since its infancy with The Sims. I have seen a lot of differences and some good and some bad.

What I miss:

being able to put the foundation inside of the house (from TS2) to make a taller platform. For example: in the living room if you want to add the dining room but make it a higher than the living room....you would put the foundation in and then add the stairs...it adds height, depth and dimension to the room/build

L-shaped, spiral, and U-shaped stairs. Doing work-arounds can be very nerve grinding ridiculousness for a builder...it doesn't help..it hurts.

TS3 store had some great items for the game...not having them in TS4 was a real bummer Chun Co. Teppanyaki Grill - what a marvelous invention.

Sizzle Baby Pro Deep Fryer - I so miss being able to deep fry food.

World of Wonder Carousel Collection Everything in here is worth having again

Last Venue of Amore - the gondola was amazing

The Boardwalk - the roller coaster

bakers station - not only having the station but adding more baking goods to create

it's business time industrial oven - double ovens....please!

playpen and toddler walker - so cute for the babies and also the baby swings

canning station - same as the baking station...being able to can more fruits and veggies

dragons - duh!

dbl sliding bookcases

tileable bookcases - really cool and great feature for libraries

water wheel - loved that feature from the brunch at the old mill

the tea set from brunch at the old mill

being able to have all harvestables from TS2, TS3 and TS4 combined in TS5 as well as nuts of every kind

fowl and feathers chicken coop

Setting up a store for TS5 just like TS3. Extra stuff sets and misc items available for purchase with simpoints....I love this idea. It is actually cheaper for those paying for a whole pack. Not everyone can afford a whole pack and this added "new" items without breaking the bank.

I know the franchise wants to make money, but keeping in mind that there are low income consumers would be very beneficial for the franchise as well. Some of us only live on $800/mo due to having disabilities, but are still able to function enough to play a game like the sims...it can develop certain brain skills that they did not have before and it can also help with creating brain pathways on some levels. Such as seeing what cause and effect does and being able to take that into real life. If my sim starts a fire while cooking and gets burned and dies and the fire consumes the house because there wasn't a smoke detector to get the fire dept to come, this too can happen in real life...on a certain level...Some people are concrete and this helps with that because they can see it.

Having all of these packs is not helpful. There are a few that could have been lumped together. Also, when there is a pack or a set coming out, including all of the cas and build/buy mode items images for that set or pack is very beneficial to those who are buying the pack. I know I like to see what I am getting before I get it. I may not want everything in the pack, and I won't buy if there is only one thing in there that I want. I know there are more consumers out there like me.

Having more valentine day stuff would be great as well as some more christmas items...st patrick day stuff, Asian holiday items, India and other cultural holiday stuff would be great too.

CREATE-A-STYLE really does need to come back. Most of the items in TS4 just do not have enough swatches let alone some....I just would not put together.

Having different animal sculptures for creating a zoo or just making those animals or having a set or a pack that deal with just a zoo...that would be awesome!

Books and bookcases --- major overhaul

I am putting together a library right now. And am discovering some things going on with the bookcases. If I remove all books from a bookcase, then set it up to have only the LEVEL 1 skill books, the bookcase goes back to "normal" if I upload it with a lot for the person downloading the lot. I have to make the bookcase a deco piece before I can upload it with a lot. So, being able to make bookcases to where they are similar to an actual bookcase library would be very helpful and beneficial for those of us creating a library for our sims. Also, the bookstore-spa, bookstore-diner combos....that was a wonderful idea in TS3.

CARS, CARS, CARS...did I mention cars!

Some of the items in Into the Future were pretty amazing. The holograms was a brilliant idea.

Please keep in mind that the graphics for console games and pcs are actually different; therefore, camera controls should be set up differently for the two. I do not like the camera controls in TS4 even with the option of the TS3 camera control. And seeing the world through the eyes of the current sim in play, is not beneficial either; the sims is just not a battlefield game...that was not a good idea.

I know my ideas and the items and stuff I have mentioned may not be worth reading doing anything about, but I do feel that I have the right to state my opinion. I do believe that every company should listen very closely to their consumers remarks....even the bad ones because the company does not deal with the end result 24/7...the consumer does. We need to be heard, we need to be understood, and we need to be happy. When we are happy, you make money.

When I hear “My First Pet”...

Okay. I’m a grown woman and don’t need to throw my hat in the ring on this one. Everybody has an opinion on this stuff pack, and wherever you fall on this, you can’t deny that it’s got a lot of people talking about it. So, let’s (nicely) talk about it.

(This is gonna be long, y’all, so hold on tight)

Having played the Sims series since Sims 2 and falling in love with every single expansion that came to that game, then Sims 3 has its additions that I seriously enjoyed (i. Want. HORSES.), we now seen that Sims 4 is something... different than we’ve seen in the past. Some call it revolutionary, some call it a constant money-grab (I highly recommend you watch Lazy Game Reviews on YouTube if you can have a sense of humor about someone reviewing a pack that you might personally like; he’s genuinely hilarious). No matter where you stand, somebody’s happy or upset about something.

Somebody left a comment on Deligracy’s trailer reaction video on YouTube that this is “the Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats stuff pack of 2018”. And, from what I’ve seen so far, I’m not going to disagree.

However, given the hostility that this pack has received, inevitably EA’s response will be something similar to the skin tone issues we experienced not too long ago: “we needed more references, please give us ideas”, et cetera.

So, okay, EA. Your customers hear you. Your Research & Development Teams are on hiatus and can’t help you get the information you need? Your market research told you that *everybody* across your international market has a hamster as their first pet?

We got you, sweetie. Have a seat at the table, and listen to your customers create their dream stuff pack.

REBLOG WITH YOUR IDEAS IN ADDITION TO MY LIST. Let’s help EA with their apparent R&D issues going forward. Read below for my list, then add the hashtag #TS4 My Real First Pet to show them how it’s done. Because let’s be honest: to the apologists who say “oh, it’s just a stuff pack, they only have so much room”, I say: that’s fair. And 75% of this pack has nothing to do with the concept of “my First Pet”. It has everything to do with what should have been an update to Cats & Dogs. So, there would be room for more actual items to fit the theme if you separate out the items that do not.

Remember when toddlers just showed up one day, fully playable and outfitted with CAS items, Build & Buy items, and fully integrated into the game *on a free and unannounced update*? There’s room to make it work, people. Let’s show them how.

When I hear “My First Pet”, here’s what I think of...

-Hamsters & Gerbils, and all of their cage accessories; running on the wheel, hiding in their little igloo houses, leaving bite marks on small children... y’know, what was in the game trailer today. Also, breeding because holy Jesus those little fur balls could not keep away from each other!

Here’s everything else I think of:

-Bunnies. Adorable, fluffy, hoppy bunnies that also live in cages and hide in little igloos! The produce mechanism in-game is perfect for them - you can grow carrots or other veggies and feed them with that (great for starter families), or buy them at produce stands like in San Myshuno if you own City Living. Introduce new harvestables like hay for their snacks, give them the ability to hop around the house free-range, or go on walks like cats & dogs can (which *does* happen!).

-Parakeets. A small bird option, as opposed to a large bird like a macaw or a parrot, and very easy to maintain for children. Their language skills could be a skill building tool for children, their small size makes them perfect walking-about buddies (a la dragons in Sims 3: Dragon Valley). Their cage size could be 1x2 squares, miniaturized from the Sims 3 model for large birds in fun and neutral colors. Again, certain harvestables could be chosen to feed them, and the toys would be *so* cute. The wind chime accessory in Backyard Stuff Pack could be altered to create a ringing noise toy for them. Also, decorating the cages could be a Build&Buy within the game itself - holy Meta, Batman! Slot those suckers and give the birdies something fun!

-Frogs & Snakes. While we already catch frogs in TS4, it’s important to note that they aren’t functional at this time. Well, cut the strings and let Pinocchio dance! Their terrariums could be cloned versions of the aquariums, or something altogether new; their mini tabletop terrariums could be given more interactive ability. Buy them flies and mice to eat, or catch them in the wild! Watch them molt out of their snakeskin. Watch the frogs swim in the water. Find the snake in the kitchen hunting for more mice!

-Sea Monkeys & Ant Farms. While not a big, fun animal to play with, these Science-projects-waiting-to-happen would be a wonderful addition to the game, especially for children not exactly ready to commit to a bigger animal but bored by fish (Parenthood skills could play a *big* part in a child’s “pet readiness”. Just saying.) Also, you could make some amazing fail states out of the ants escaping, or the sea monkeys doing tricks in the background while you are playing your family, and never on command; the possibilities for hilarious moodlets are endless.

-Ferrets. Because, ferrets. Similar to hamsters, with even more playability options! The possibilities for ferret hyjinks are hysterically funny and also endless! (See also rats and domesticated mice)

-Most importantly, A PET STORE WHERE YOU CAN GO AND CHOOSE YOUR FIRST PET WITH YOUR PARENT(S). Create a downloadable lot on the Gallery, with the newest items in it, and let the Sim kids of the world light up with joy as soon as they step through the doors. Make small pet food purchase-able like produce or books, add decor items to change moodlets *of the pet*, and maybe even have a grooming salon where you can bring your bunnies or hamsters or parakeets to get clipped/trimmed/de-flight-feathered. Set a price and check the kid’s Responsibility and Emotional Control (Parenthood) before allowing a purchase.

Here’s some concepts I did for what I thought a Sims 4 Atomic Age SP would look like (keep in mind that these were made right as City Living was being leaked). Yes, nearly every object’s name is a pun or a reference.

I never bothered to actually do a male ‘home’ outfit cuz it woulda just been a suit; the male suits have unique footstep noises. But those spacesuits are something I REALLY would want. Here’s the part where I go through every object and explain them...

Proper Gander Posters - a set a posters with signs pointing out the location of shelters and the dangers of atomic weapons. Obvious wordplay on ‘propaganda’ Black n’ White Out Curtains - two curtains that are perfectly suited for blocking out windows (they would come in a variety of retro designs, not just black and white) Radial Designs Rugs - You can never have too many circular rugs! These ones come in atomic-inspired designs... radial being related to circles and sounding like radiant Glassless Window - Oh my god do we need this object or WHAT. It’s just a shelf inserted into a wall; it goes all the way through like a window and holds clutter like a shelf! Googie-Loogie Column / Space-Age Debris Column - I changed the name of this item at some point for it to come up as Space-age Debris Column. Anyways, this design isn’t a typical column and is instead one of those decorative poles/separators (think the column separators from City Living). It’s inspired by the depiction of debris in those safety booklets on airplanes (that design has always stuck with me) Escape Pod to Comfort Zone - I love me some orb chairs! They are beautiful, pure, and extremely comfy if you put a blanket over the opening. This was the first object I had drawn Landing Pad Footrest - okay, so it’s not a footrest, but just a 1x1 ottoman. But like, that’s close enough? This is actually designed to work best with the Cosmolux theme in the Base Game Curv-o-vision Sofa - The obvious joke was that the sofa was built in opposition to curved TVs (they curved the sofa around the TV instead of the opposite). But this sofa would still function normally; the curve would be gentle enough on the front for Sims to still look forward Non-Musical Flute Fireplace - it ANGERS me that there’s no free standing fireplaces in TS4 (excluding that coffee table from City Living), especially since there’s no retro fireplace. This fireplace would actually adjust its height to reach the ceiling and -in the case of no floor being present- hang from it rather than clipping to the terrain. It’s chimney is the same design as the round metal column in base game. Tin Exhaust Vent - a complimentary chimney topper for the flute fireplace! (the accent table never made it past its initial design seen here) Bomb Shelter Fridge - Indiana Jones 4 reference blahblahblah... there was originally a stove to compliment this stove, but then Parenthood had an antique stove sooo Friend or Faux - THIS CHAIR, THIS CHAIR. In our house in Indiana (which is now my brother’s), there was a dining room set from the 50s in the shed, since I apparently didn’t need a desk chair (I got my first from Craigslist last year) I used this monster. The brass feet on it literally dug into the floor and the faux-leather was ALWAYS sticky on ALL of the chairs. Linoleum ____ (tables) - Even though I think Linoleum Spectre is the perfect name to describe the evils of that godless vinyl, I ended up naming the three sizes of this table to Linoleum Star (1x1), Linoleum Comet (1x2), and Linoleum Sun (3x3). The Sun is a rounded six-seater table like in Backyard Stuff Generi Co. Kitchen Tiles - WHY ARE THERE NO NORMAL KITCHEN TILES IN THE SIMS 4!? IT’S THREE YEARS OLD AND THERE’S NO ‘CLASSIC’ 2X2 TILES IN THE GAME YET!? (it comes in usable and ugly-as-sin colour schemes) Radiant-Activity - It’s a light shaped like an atom, what more is there to say? Future-vu - Both of the TVs in this pack are entirely Black and White. Future-vu is actually designed to fit on practically any surface. THE Entertainment Stand - This TV’s gimmick is that is actually a surface meaning you could put anything the game allows on it. Including the Future-vu TV and Fish bowls! If you put a fish bowl on the TV, it’ll actually mutate the fish! (This TV is based on the TV my grandmother had when I lived with her, she had it until 2006) Half-Baked Display - a cute little pastry display. You can put food you baked in it to preserve it while keeping it at ready access, OR you could purchase baked goods directly from it The Final Counter - I never actually decided on which design I liked best for this item, but I like the middle two. I never designed its cabinet or island counterparts. BioDome Future Plots/EcoPods - BEHOLD, the main gameplay mechanic of the pack! I decided to go with little planter pots based on how early sci-fi depicted freeze-drying as the main gameplay object. How does it work? You can put any of the three sizes anywhere in your home (like, your kitchen) for quick and easy produce! You stick your seeds into the pot and wait a day for it full grow and yield more harvest! The mini-plants give you only one harvestable at a time, but they grow at a rate of about two a day and require little maintenance. The small one fits in any space available (or at least where the tissue box item can fit) with the larger one requiring a full counter/table slot. The hanging one can go one any wall you can fit it but is functionally identical to the tiny one.
