i hope you feel some discernibly positive emotions from the knowledge that every post you make or even reblog, i hear in my head in the voice of lego infomaniac
i think it's neat i can have that effect in stuff i post or reblog!! may be a little strange to imagine his voice on something like the among us boobie task post though.

A Guide For New Users Fleeing From Twitter, From A User Who Needed One When They First Started:
Hi to everyone fleeing from twitter, Elon Musk is shit and he already has had an actively harmful effect on the site, one that will only get worse. So, welcome to Tumblr, it can be kind of intimidating, given its reputation and how many different features there are, I was certainly confused and intimidated when I first logged on and as I'm active on both I sympathise with y’all, so here’s a guide to anyone new:
Put your hashtags in the hashtag section. This is the only way they’ll actually have any sort of effect, or appear when you search for something. Don’t post them on the post itself.
There is a character limit for hashtags and a quite high hashtag limit. Go wild. Writing entire speeches is common.
Don’t tag lots of unrelated stuff to your posts, that’ll get you reported for Spam and just hated in general
Don’t censor words, users are fine with swearing, doing so especially with triggering content makes it hard for people to limit their exposure to said triggering content.
There’s no such thing as ratioing.
We don’t have quote retweeting, every reblog, comment, etc counts to op’s post. They can see it all, and will be notified depending on their notification settings.
Change your icon, people will think you’re a bot if you use the default.
Give yourself a bio, it’ll make you look like a person.
Follow people and tags, that’s the only way you’re gonna see the content you wanna see. The foryoupage isn’t to be trusted.
Actually reblog stuff, liking has no effect, reblogging is the only important thing here as there is no like based algorithm. Doing so will also make you appear human.
You can hide your likes and who you’re following. Doing so is not frowned upon in the slightest.
You can block tags, similarly to muting words on twitter.
You can have multiple blogs tied to one account.
You can customise your blog, go wild.
There is no word limit, you can write as you want. But if it gets too long make use of the keep reading feature, (the three dots beside the add gif feature)
There is an image limit of thirty, up from the former ten, though for some they may be stuck at only using ten, tumblr is kinda inconsistent. If you want to add more you’ll have to reblog your own post.
There is no reblogging limit when it comes to a post, though there is a daily posting limit, go wild, only your followers will be upset.
You can have videos, gifs and pictures in the same post.
You can just post audio.
Adult content is still banned, but actual moderation and enforcement is spotty, especially if it’s written.
Spam liking and reblogging isn’t a thing. Go wild.
You have an ask box that people can submit stuff to. You can respond or just delete the post. You can remove anon capability from it (which will get rid of most of the hate), or outright bar it.
You can’t private your account but you can restrict commenting and reblogging. Edit: I’ve been informed that you can in fact make your blog password protected, it’s just that it’s a rarely done thing and not widely known.
Block whoever and whenever, it’s not a big deal. Though if someone you’ve blocked has reblogged and added to a post and someone you follow reblogs that, their commentary will still be included in the post you see.
We don’t have muting, only blocking.
Yes, direct messaging is a thing (it’s the little smiley face)
The only way to promote your is through ‘tumblr blaze’, you pay a certain amount of money and your post will be promoted, but not targeted, so no invasions of privacy. You are subject to the employee’s whims on whether or not it gets promoted and unfortunately hate speech has been allowed.
Tumblr has tendency to hide/consume comments, posts and asks, don’t be surprised if they go missing.
Tumblr searching a blog relies on tags, words in the post and the users name, keep that in mind.
Posts will remain after you delete your account or the original post if they have been reblogged.
Years old posts are still circulating and that is considered normal.
You can queue up posts to be released when you’re not using your account. Or you can just post whenever you’re active. Go wild.
Wizards exist and are very popular on this site. Accept it.
There are posts with no notes that will never gain any more than a sing note for your like. Accept it.
There are posts will no op. Accept it.
Trans and autistic people dominate this site.
Don’t get pissy when someone tags a post ‘tw (insert slur)’, or any trigger warning for that matter, most are just being considerate of their followers who may be triggered by such content.
Twitter discourse is regularly mocked, it’s not gonna fly here.
No, we don’t call each other oomfs, or anything like that. We just have mutuals.
Tumblr in general lacks a lot colloquialisms that began on twitter.
We do have ‘blorbo’ ‘poor little meow meow’ etc.
Trying to go viral or trying to corporate is frowned upon.
Tumblr has a tendency to blacklist things tagged like ‘crowdfunding’ so bring that kind of logic you use for twitter posts over to tumblr.
We don’t have twitter circles, co-posting, etc.
Tumblr is surprisingly good at recommending blogs.
There are no verified accounts, and your follower count isn't visible. This is a good thing, trying to change it will get you laughed at.
People are going to just make up stuff, don’t believe everything you see and if it’s a claim about someone, investigate it rather than just believe it.
You can edit your posts after you’ve posted them, but the versions reblogged before said changes will still circulate. This editing of the original has been used as a spruce of comedy
If your worried about people seeing your potentially triggering, or even graphic content and they haven’t blocked the tags you’ve used you can use the keeping reading feature to put the content under the cut and post a warning at the top.
And this is quite important:
Stay anonymous and have fun. There isn’t an expectation to constantly expose inner details of your life, you aren’t expected to use your real face, your real name, age, etc. You’re not even expected to be truthful here. Exist however you wanna exist and have fun, that should be the point of social media.
Also keep in mind that tumblr has its own distinct culture that is going to take some getting used to. As well as a history any user who’s been here a while will at least somewhat understand.
Also I'll be editing the post with additional info and corrections provided to me.

things twitter migrants may find useful that dont often get included in "how to tumblr" posts
1- queueing!
instead of feeling bad for spam-reblogging and clogging up other people's feeds, you can click the dropdown and add it to your queue instead!
Tumblr media
you can edit how many times a day your queue posts, and between what hours. You can easily re-order or completely shuffle your queue as well!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE REBLOG STUFF. Tumblr doesn't run on an algorithm!! YOU are responsible for putting cool stuff onto your followers feeds!
"but if i reblog too much people can't see my posts!" i have just the thing for you
2- personal tags
You can have different tags you use on your blog to help people navigate! for example, i use "dh rb art" when I reblog art and "dh rb" for most other reblogs- that's so that people can filter my reblogs out of their feeds if they dont wanna see that, and only want my original posts to show up.
On the other hand, my art is tagged "dh2497" so they can easily search my account for it!
Tumblr media
If you open a person's blog and click the search button, a list of Featured Tags will show up. By default this is just the blogger's most used tags, but you can customize what shows up on yours in your blog settings
You can follow entire hashtags too! if you wanna see hermitcraft fanart without following every hermitcraft artist, follow the tag :D
3- Filtering
Tumblr actually hides things you don't wanna see, very nicely!
In your account settings, you can filter specific tags, and even specific words that show up in the post.
Tumblr media
sometimes different bloggers warning tag differently (i do [trigger] tw or [content] cw) so you can try to input every variant, but if its something you really want to avoid just put it in the post content as well. Blocklists aren't really a tumblr thing, so if you wanna avoid an entire community you can block their tag as well
NEVER. CENSOR. YOUR WARNINGS. PLEASE. On twitter or tiktok or wherever, you may have to do that or else the algorithm suppresses it- THERES NO ALGORITHM HERE!!! if someone reblogs your post, it will show up for others, don't worry!!! you're just bypassing filters placed for people's safety, if you censor words.
Also! don't worry too much if a word you wanna filter is commonly used in unrelated contexts- tumblr doesn't remove it entirely, but rather adds a 'spoiler' so that you have to click on it to view it. So just in case it is what you want to avoid, you have time to prepare to see it.
4- effective tagging
[read more in detail here] Only the first 5 tags will show up for people who follow the hashtag. That makes them the most important! Then, the first 20 tags will make the post show up when searching that tag. The rest of them do not give your post any visibility.
I see a lot of people reblogging art with fanart tags- that can be useful for searching back the tag in the reblogger's blog specifically, but doesn't actually give the OP more visibility in that tag.
You'll learn what tags to use by checking the content you come across! most communities are "[word]blr", and most fanart goes "#[character/show] fanart". tumblr tags can have spaces!
Lastly, a few notes
you will only have 1 PRIMARY blog. this will appear when you like a post, comment on a post, or follow a blog. your sideblogs will not link back to your primary blog, but you cannot do those interactions as those sideblogs.
artists love receiving compliments when you reblog!! commenting does NOT boost the post. most people put their compliments in the TAGS of their reblog, so that it doesn't become a long post/thread, and if people reblog the reblog of your reblog you won't keep gettings notifications about it. The artist will still see and very much appreciate it
read up on tumblr etiquette, do not treat this place like twitter or you'll be disliked lol. there are some 'big blogs' but follower counts aren't public, popularity isn't a contest here. make friends, or just block/ignore people you don't get along with. no one cares about your petty arguments
if you noticed the lil cat in my screenshots, that's from a very useful browser extension called XKit!! it enables 1-click queue reblogs (automatically adding your tags), mass-post editing, and lots of other great tweaks vanilla tumblr doesn't have! and the cat is a silly cute thing you can enable in it as well

18 + Only, minors will be blocked, you are not welcome here
☆About Me☆
You can call me Rot. I'm 21, he/they, transmasc and this is my horny blog! This will be my general horny content blog where I'll post/reblog the stuff I like however I will separate some of my interests and kinks onto other blogs. I am pre-t and pre-op. Generally just queer but I like people of any gender however I do lean more t4t
My asks are open for anything! Send me stuff!!
My dms are openish. At this time I'm not looking to sext and heavily flirt. I'm going through a lot and will be slow to respond most times. I really only have the brainpower to hold conversations about my special interests or if someone infodumps to me and I get to ask questions.
I'm comfortable with most masculine or feminine terms when referring to the parts of my body, I don't usually have a preference. I'll update this when I find something I don't like! I should probably add on that I'm a switch/vers in theory, mostly a sub/bottom in practice as I'm not confident enough to fully dom/top quite yet.
(rest of this post is a work in progress, bear with me please)
Without any further ado; list of content/kinks I like that you may find here(list incomplete):
Absolutely Yes: Petplay, Degradation, Praise (giving) Bondage, Impact play, Breeding, Somno, Edging, Overstim, Oviposition, Humiliation, Primal Play, Intox, Light CNC, Mommy kink??
Sometimes/Maybe: Choking (receiving), Praise (receiving)
Hard Limits: Scat, Death/Slob Feedism, Inflation, Raceplay, Feet
Kinks that will be mostly likely on a separate blog that I still like: Hypno, Knife play, Heavy CNC
Outside of all that, I'm going to list my sideblogs and tags down below and any other information I see fit so this intro isn't too long! (ps: if you know me from my previously deleted blog, feel free to say hi, I'd love to talk to y'all again, I was going through a really rough patch and honestly I'm so sorry I just disappeared)
My tags:
- rotposts: original content
- rotbarks: answering asks
- rotspeaks: non horny, rambles, or unrelated content
My sideblogs:
- @barkandbarkandbark : vent blog, rambles, literally anything just me talking to the digital void
Just a little more about me:
- @boymommy-brainrot : Mommy kink blog, a mostly gentle softer vibe, pics of me will also be on here
*Mommy is mostly a title, I like taking care of people and being gentle with them and just making them happy through acts of service. My kink is in no way an incest thing and as much I may use certain terms/words it is also not a ddlg thing either
Major theatre nerd, musicals, plays, plays with music, don't matter I love them all! I've acted in a few local shows, I've ran lights, I've staged managed, done a few other things. I'm really into dungeons and dragons and other ttrpgs and board games, and card games like magic the gathering. I love to draw and I love my silly little ocs I've made. If you upload your ocs or your fursona on your blog, there's a chance I might draw them, I like making art for others when I have the time.
Uhhhh, idk what else. I'm currently playing palword, this war of mine, overcooked 2, lethal company, escape the backrooms. However I do have many other games and if you ever wanted to play, just dm me, I'm down to find sometimes as long as we've talked a bit first and we vibe! I have major brainrot for Dead by Daylight right now so so badly
Oh yeah I fucking love robots I absolutely love robots and puppets I'm surprised I'm not like into fnaf more but man I just want to scream they're so cool.
I'll probably think of some other things to put here idk lol

genuine question: how can we use this website to be less annoying to others?
Glad to give my thoughts. Like I said, I’m very petty and most of this stuff probably isn’t as big a deal to most people. Anyway I’m bad at being brief so I added a readmore. Here are my personal rules:
1: Don’t add anything to the body of a post unless you have something that you really feel will add some degree of value, meaning, humor, context, or at least something to people further down the reblog chain.
This is the most important rule. Adding something to a post makes it longer, it makes it so everyone who reblogs it in the chain after you has to see it. If you have nothing to add but “wow” or “holy shit” you are lengthening the post for no reason. Those reactions can easily go in the tags.
This is also the reason I think gimmick blogs are so annoying. It’s one thing for a “heritage post” blog to reblog things related to its respective gimmick. Simply reblogging them puts that thing on their blog, so anyone looking at it or following them because they want to see “heritage posts” will see it. But they go a step further and add “X heritage post” for no real reason other than to brand the post as theirs.
When I see a post that I like that has useless additions that take up space while adding nothing I get mildly annoyed and go to the reblog of the person who reblogged it before they did just to trim the useless comments off. But if that person deactivated then I can’t trim the comment. Tumblr lets you trim to the original post without any of the additions regardless of if op is deactivated or not with the little X on the reblog menu, but only to the original post. It’s better than nothing though
This whole point is, to me, a bit of tumblr etiquette that makes it so you don’t have to see unrelated comments from someone you don’t follow just because they thought to add a pointless comment way up the chain. This definitely is petty, but if you remember how the old tumblr formatting worked, this was extremely important because each addition took up even more screen space with the line to the next persons url and squished the original post into smaller and smaller spaces. So that’s probably why I feel so strongly about it even though it doesn’t matter as much anymore.
2: The tags are mostly your free space to say what you want, BUT try and respect that OP will likely see them.
A LOT of communication done on this website is done through talking in the tags. That’s not what they were originally meant for but that doesn’t matter anymore. People will likely be looking in their notes to see tags by their mutuals.
The original poster can and will see every tag on a post, unless they delete the post or mute notifications. Mute notifications seems like it doesn’t work, but that’s because it only mutes future notifications on the post, the tags in your notes before muting will still be there regardless
This is to say that in most situations, if the op is someone like me who uses their notes to communicate with their mutuals and others in their communities, your irrelevant tags might also be there and annoy them. So use courtesy when tagging. Thankfully tumblr cuts off tags after a certain point on the notes page but still keep it in mind. I go overboard writing mini essays in the tags all the time, and while I do think that is a little annoying I do it anyway so I can’t blame people.
3: Keep blorbo tagging to a minimum if you can help it.
This is probably my most controversial stance, but blorbo tagging can be really annoying in certain circumstances.
The biggest offender to me are tagging make characters on posts about women. I don’t care that you think he’s your babygirl or whatever, I find this extremely annoying. I get it, sometimes a post fits your character really closely but the gender is wrong, but usually it doesn’t and they’re just doing this on any post even slightly related to a single aspect of a male character they care about. Often because most tumblr fandom people couldn’t be bothered to care about female characters if that was the only way to escape a saw trap alive.
There are other blorbo tag type things that annoy me, and again I’m a petty bitch, so take it with a grain of salt. But to me this one is a little personal (for lack of a better word). One of my first big posts on this blog was about wizard girls leaning in to kiss and having the brims of their hats get in the way. I didn’t mind the blorbo tagging about men that much, but they got less and less related to the post that it was annoying. The last straw before I deleted the post (back when I didn’t realize mute notifications actually worked. It might not have at the time) was a tag about their male blorbos leaning in to kiss and their belt buckles got in the way???
Idk I just find blorbo tagging in general mildly annoying and only do it when the post is an extremely perfect fit for on the characters I care about. I often block people for blorbo tagging about characters from things I dislike, I’m petty and the block button is fun for me to press, so I do that often. :)
4: NOT EVERY POST IS ABOUT YOU!!!
If you see a post that isn’t about you or your demographics or gender or whatever, you really don’t need to make it about you. That will very likely annoy op, especially because no one would have anything against you if you went and wrote your own post inspired by whatever the post in question said.
Not every post about lesbians needs to be made about gay men. Not every post about trans women needs to be made about trans men. Not every post about women needs to be made about men. And probably most important:
Not every post needs to be made about white people!
I know you might be thinking how writing something in the tags about your experience as a white person relating to what op is talking about, but I promise you they don’t want to hear it from us. They almost certainly are seeing tags from other white people because for some reason we can’t seem to see someone posting about issues of racism without having either the “I’m sorry for being white” or “white devils advocate” voices appear in our heads, just ignore it. Bite your tongue and reblog or move on for the love of god stop pestering the op.
Obviously the lesbian, trans women, and women ones are the ones I see in my notes that are annoying. But I can’t pretend I haven’t seen other white people say some really unnecessary shit in the tags / haven’t seen posts by nonwhite people who are clearly annoyed about how we always make everything about us.
Remember, you can always write your own post!
5: OP didn’t “turn off replies”
This feels like something that wouldn’t happen that often, but multiple times when I’ve made even mildly controversial takes about like video games or whatever, people will either add in a reblog or send me an ask complaining that I “turned off replies because I was afraid of hearing them disagree” usually followed by them calling me a coward. It’s very simple, I have reply settings so that people I follow and people who have followed me for at least like a week can reply, that’s it. I don’t have replies from everyone on because most people outside of those categories I don’t care about their opinions and they are annoying. If you can’t reply, that’s probably why. And if they actually did turn off replies, that’s because they don’t want replies, especially from people like the ones I just described.
6: I actually don’t have a problem with spam reblogging
This might seem backwards given my other stances on things taking up unnecessary space like useless comments, but I really don’t mind spam reblogs. I frequently do it when I see art I really like or when there’s a post that really resonates with me. Yes, it is annoying! No, I probably won’t stop. I do it so I can’t judge other people who do too. I am trying to keep it to like 5 times at most though, any more is just overkill.
7: OP is a stranger, not your friend
This one applies basically everywhere on the internet, but unless the person who made the post is someone who is like a mutual or someone that’s you’ve interacted with a lot before, they’re probably a stranger. Don’t try to be “playfully rude” or overly familiar. It’s annoying and weird and you will get blocked.
8: If you’re sending an anonymous ask, remember that OP is not going to take you in good faith most of the time
A lot of anon asks aren’t meant to be malicious, but a lot of others are. Bait, hate mail, insults, you name it, there’s a very good reason people like me assume every anon is sent in bad faith for some purpose. If you are going to send an anon ask, try to make it clear that you genuinely just want to ask a question and that you aren’t trying to trick op into saying something you can use to write a callout post against her or whatever.
You did that in this very ask thing and that’s why I’m writing out this long post instead of deleting it or letting it rot in the inbox.
9: Prev Tags etiquette / “Peer Reviewed” Tags
The usage of “prev tags” is controversial, a lot of people have different opinions on it. But with all the changes they made last year that made it harder to see the tags of the person before the person who’s reblog you are viewing, I think prev tags etiquette has changed.
My personal rules for prev tags are to copy the tags into my own tags, and then follow them up with a tag that says “<- prev tags”. Unfortunately tumblr tags convert dashes into spaces for some reason so it ends up looking like “< prev tags”. I’m stubborn and don’t want to like use an emoji arrow though. Anyway, tumblr mobile conveniently allows you to copy the tags of the person you are reblogging from surprisingly easily which I appreciate.
Unlike previous tags, which stay in the tags and don’t turn into an addition to the post, “peer reviewed” tags as they are sometimes called do get added to the post permanently for the remaining blog chain.
The unfortunate truth about this website is that some people have bad opinions on what qualifies as being meaningful enough to be cemented as an addition to the post via “peer review”. As such, the phrase “how could you leave this in the tags 🤣” has essentially become another “you sir have won the internet 🤣”
The shitty part about that is sometimes there are good and meaningful additions in the tags that are worth being added to the post as a whole. But you can add someone’s tags to a post without saying “how could you leave this in the tags”. Anyway this one is more subjective and hard to define so I hope I got my point across at least somewhat.
Anyway, there are probably a few other rules I personally follow that I’m not thinking about right now, but just follow general internet etiquette and try to keep in mind that op is a person who will likely read whatever you type, that covers most things tbh! Thanks for reading if you somehow read this far. Hope this helped! If it didn’t, oh well, I did try and warn you I’m petty and have strong opinions about things that usually don’t matter afterall

on an unrelated note, if you've been using xkit / tumblr savior for a long time, i heartily encourage you to try out tumblr's native filtering system, which is excellent.
IT WORKS ON MOBILE! (unlike browser extensions)
it's located on little person outline -> (gear) SETTINGS on dashboard or person outline -> gear (settings) -> general settings -> content you see on mobile.
this will turn any post of any length into a little block that's like "post blocked for containing [thing you have filtered]" and then you can decide if you want to click to see or if you want to simply move along.
you can filter tags - this will block a post if your friend OR THE OP used a specific tag.
super, super helpful way to find posts made by t/erfs that had been circulating unnoticed - if you block tags like 'g/ender critical' and 't/erfsafe' (with no slash, i am putting the slash in so this post will appear to people who might otherwise want to filter that content!), that'll be blocked on tumblr if OP tagged it that, even if the post is now circulating in genuinely trans-inclusive spaces.
also helpful if your friends have their own weird tags for stuff like one of my friends posts a lot of long screenshots of books and has a tag for that that i have filtered because the posts are always really long and i hate scrolling past them when i'm not in the mood to read. or one of my friends is a wonderful person and i absolutely hate one of her major ships, but she uses a weird individualized tag for that fandom so i just get to avoid her posting about that thing and still see other fandom content for a fandom i don't hate.
this one is going to filter things that are exactly the same as what you put in the filter field. that means that you may have to filter "content", "content cw", "content /" separately, but you can literally add as many versions as you need to. my friends all have slightly different systems for tagging and ykw? it matters more to me that they are consistent in whatever way works for them, so that i can filter what i need to filter, than that everyone uses MLA vs Chicago tagging style.
you can also just filter content. this is for any word that appears in the body of a post (or perhaps also tags? not actually sure)
PARTICULARLY USEFUL WHEN YOU ARE UPSET BY SOMETHING THAT ISN'T REGULARLY TAGGED
for instance: there are certain users who have a tendency to show up in reblog chains. they have consistently rancid takes and annoy me. i filter their url, and then i don't have to see those anymore! or: i know they're going to be in there and when i click through to the post it's not an unpleasant surprise anymore.
for instance: sometimes people tag politics but not specific issues, or you filter the tag "#politics" but then find it hard to click through, expecting funny uk prime minister goofs and instead get posts about genuinely bad things happening. you can instead filter words or phrases like 'crisis,' 'abortion,' 'election' and decide what you wanna see
tumblr's filtering has gotten so so so much better, it's extremely usable, it's cheap and it's easy and it's free to add as many words as you need to. literally no one can stop you and no one is going to notice. you can do anything you want.

Sanae, for the ask :3
Shoe size?
Miraculously, every pair of shoes she's ever liked has fit her feet, but most of them are tacky anyways.
Would she step in and handle it?
She would step in! She even stands a good chance of handling it, through some miracle!
Favorite music genre?
Anime OP theme songs, video game music, and if she ever encounters nerdcore, there may be some kind of explosion.
Sex/romance/weird gay shit?
*gestures broadly at the oil fire tag* I mean, I've been contributing to this since the early days of a week and a half ago.
I think Sanae hits a very interesting kind of dichotomy where she has a small group of people (besides the SanaKasa oil fire, Biten, Reimu, and probably a couple others) who she'd have a cringey loving and passionate relationship with, and a lot of people who'd bounce right off of her. So in a way, she's one of the characters I can see having sex and romance (broadly speaking) line up pretty well.
Finally, I am choosing violence and attributing all the cursed Sanae/Kogasa material to Tsukasa having occasional fantasies about a sadistic Sanae, and them retroactively editing our reality.
General thoughts?
One of the really interesting structural aspects of Touhou is that the "3P" characters, Sakuya, Youmu, and Sanae, have one big trait in common: they're naive/ignorant about the world/situation. This is easily interpretable as them being dumb (Youmu) or weird (Sakuya) but I think it's a structural function of them being aware of being minions of some greater power and submitting to it, where Reimu struggles with Yukari and Marisa has been pretty independent.
Sanae is thus in a kind of willful denial about her moms. She knows on some level that Kanako's scheming isn't unstained and innocent, or Tsukasa wouldn't have been able to work on her in that Unconnected Marketeers ending. But she clearly isn't admitting it consciously, or is only starting to do so now. Her ignorance is both willful and feigned, because once she opens that door, what will happen then? (SanaKasa also offers a way for her to feel confident in opening that door someday, even if her confidence may be a bit misplaced...)
So Sanae's a big autistic nerd girl who doesn't have the sophistication of anyone else in Gensokyo bar Kosuzu, but I think part of that is a deliberate defensive strategy, of playing wide-eyed innocent to avoid the unpleasant side of Gensokyo. And obviously, she's a
relatable character
because there sure are some autistic girlthings appreciative of cringe anime and long-archaic pop culture in the Touhou fandom. (I'm only debatably a girlthing, though.)
Capping this off is that she's astoundingly powerful and capable, as her good ending in Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom points out, and that's not unrelated to the previous stuff at all. On some level, she doesn't agree to submit to the world, and this makes her able to affect it harder and bigger. Autism can not only pull you some foxy bitches, it can help you break through some real bullshit sometimes.
So you can use Sanae for some pretty dark stuff, or some medium-dark stuff with a lighthearted premise like Sanae-san's On The Run!, but overall, I think her situation is pretty good. Her moms care for her in their way, are very proud of her, she's gaining confidence. Someday, maybe she'll soar.

No, tumblr is not glitching. There is a a screen shot of a Marvel gif set in an unrelated fandom’s tag.
Tis a screen shot so as not to derail the notes of OP’s post with said unrelated fandom’s discourse.
If OP would like me to delete the screenshot and simply leave the link to the original post, I will happily do so.
It’s just.
I’ve been thinking a lot about just. The misogyny of fandom. Not particularly the Marvel fandom, or Stranger Things fandom, but like. Any fandom?
Cause despite what gatekeeping dudebros may want to believe - so much of Fandom culture thrives on women. Them and their creativity, and their engagement.
And I realize that as a cis man I should tread carefully asking this, but then… why is it that fandom is so misogynist towards actresses just doing their jobs?
The likes of Emily VanCamp and Grace Van Dien get viscous attacks online because people don’t like their characters, their relationships to their male faves. The actress merely living and breathing in real life is somehow a threat to their favorite fictional pairing.
Meanwhile, like. Joe Quinn talks about Eddie and Chrissy, people ignore him and say he doesn’t know what he’s saying. That he’s being pressured into saying it.
David Harbour talks about how he read Jopper fanfic, and how he and Winona adlibbed their second kiss. He’s a King for this. Fandom loves him.
Grace Van Dien just shared cute fanart to her social media accounts. She talked about how she and her scene partner approached the scene.
That’s literally all this poor woman has ever done. And suddenly she’s labeled the antichrist.
Like, ok, the screenshotted gif set. I like Sebastian Stan. I like that he Ships the Thing. I’m not saying we should tear him apart for shipping the thing - not at all, by any means.
But like. Can you imagine how opposite the response would be if he was a woman?
Saying he wants his character to marry/date/sleep with a dude? Making sexual innuendos?
Can you imagine if Grace said any such things pertaining to Eddie? I mean I know she was put on the spot with that Date/Marry/Kill game at various cons, but like.
She wouldn’t, because she has more tact - but if she was like “yeah I wish Chrissy had lived so she and Eddie could bone.” Like. If those were her words.
Like if she didn’t go all “be a weird/uncouth couple” about it, but if she was just like “girlie deserves to get it.”
I’d be snickering and cheering her on, frankly. I wouldn’t see anything wrong with that. Dear God though, could you imagine how twitter would react?
Like. Come on. Again, we’ve seen how the woman is treated just for sharing fanart and talking about how she approached her craft. If she did any of that?
Could you imagine?
A white man can get away with it, though. Be praised for it. Why is that? Is it because he’s conventionally attractive?
Like. Is that it?
Cause like. Again. Women hold fandom up on their shoulders like they’re Atlas. So why is misogyny so damn prevalent, especially when it comes to shipping culture?
I’m not even getting into acting like you’re some progressive ally just because you have a slash ship - because I think I covered that in previous posts. Its not actually caring about m|m or our representation. In many instances, you’re just horny. Or you just want to fetishize us as your “uwu soft gays”.
No, I mean like. Not even talking about the erasure if female characters, the shaming people for shipping m|f ships… why is it that the women making the content like ships? Why can’t they validate them? When you love it when the men do - at least, when they validate the ones you like. The women though, they better just keep their mouths shut. They’re so creepy, I bet they’re lusting after their costar! We aren’t projecting at all!
Again. Cis male. So like. I’m self aware enough to know I’m maybe not the best person to call this out/the person who should call it out but. Does fandom hate women? Cause it sure seems that way sometimes, and like. That makes little to no sense to me, not only because ayyy women 😩🤌 but like.
This is your house. Women built this house. Y’all are the ones who keep it running, it would be an even uglier and much more boring place without you. A patriarchal white echo chamber of dudebros complaining about a Star War.
So like. I’m sorry, but the shaming actresses for shipping a thing, cyber bullying them for daring to breathe your white blorbo man’s air.
While also building that white blorbo man on a weird little Hey Arnold style shrine in the back of your closet, so to speak.
It makes no sense to me. Y’all should be better than this. I know that you are better than this, the majority of you - that it is just a heinous vocal minority who attack actresses online but like.
What the fuck is up with that, pray tell?
I’m not blaming all this bullshit on all women - that’s stupid and I have more self awareness.
Again, white man. If I blamed you personally for this, you could blame me personally for like… I don’t know, nearly every horrible historical event in the history of history.
I don’t mean to play the blame game here, I just. I don’t understand.
Like you can tell it to me why this happens - I understand what all the words mean. Jealousy and bitterness and internalized misogyny. Yeah, I know, that all checks out.
It still. Doesn’t make sense. Going back over a decade to dig through a person’s trauma and recovery, their posts from when they were a minor… doctoring them in an attempt at defamation and libel.
All that. Over fictional characters. Over ships. Over your obsession with an actor who doesn’t know you exist and if he did would be disgusted by how you’re treating his friend and coworker.
Nothing about any of that makes sense.

I want to preface this by apologizing for the length and oversharing. I don't know where to turn to.
I'm not someone who uses social media often. But I saw a post here not long ago, and the mentality in general, of legalizing hard drugs and safe drug use. I'm...Upset.
I'm in a situation with a loved one where the relationship is crumbling(in my opinion) because of addiction. I cannot speak to then about it or they get aggressive and/or make abilis, and it's genuinely, deeply upsetting because it's changed them so much. I don't know what to do.
And seeing Tumblr and the News enabling drugs is upsetting greatly. I understand how terrible addiction is, I don't think it's at ALL easy to overcome. People with addictions need support, but... All I see is enabling their lethal addictions, and any hope I have for helping my loved one out of their addiction that's ruining our lives is withering. So many of these people boast about their addictions, and it crushes my hopes.
(If you could potentially answer this anonymously, like...In a post addressing me as...I don't know, 'AAA', or something, I would sincerely appreciate it...Only if you're okay to answer it, that is. Thank you.)
Don't worry, you turned Anon on when you sent the ask.
I completely understand. My grandmother smoked and it took her from me in 2016. She never got to see me graduate, she never saw me come out, she won't see me get married one day. And if that weren't enough, she had thrown out all her ashtrays and the cigarettes she kept in the freezer days before she died.
Addiction is a horrific thing, and it's incredibly difficult to have someone you love going through it, especially if they themselves won't admit it.
However, this is where I think criminalizing people with hard drug addictions is a double-edged sword. The people who are addicted to drugs are sick. Addiction is a disease, and often, people who turn to drugs have done so for less than healthy reasons. These people need treatment and a safe environment to get clean in, which is inaccessible for a variety of reasons, at least one of which is fear of getting in legal trouble when trying to recover. I have always favored a rehabilitative approach over a punitive one, and I feel that people with addictions should be able to get help quickly and easily, and do so with the confidence that it won't backfire if they seek help.
I absolutely empathize with how upsetting it is to have someone you care about struggling with addiction, but don't destroy yourself fixing someone else. There comes a point where you have to prioritize yourself. Don't be afraid to do so.
As far as drugs on tumblr, report what you find, block the OP, and unfollow any tags drug shit appears in. I know for a fact a lot of meth users use '#crystal' or '#crystals', so those tags should be blacklisted. '#clouds' is another common tag for any smoked drug, most commonly meth and weed. It's probably safe to blacklist '#mushrooms'. I would also make an effort to blacklist tags found on drug posts, as there tend to be a lot of specifically drug related tags that use their slang. If you find something crosstagged (ie someone posts about drugs in a completely unrelated tag) absolutely report that to tumblr, as that is considered spam and against ToS.
I wish you the best.

Good post, but I feel that something is missing. A lot of things, actually...
What is an "harmful stereotype" exactly?
Who decides what is and what isn't harmful and to whom?
What if what you consider a harmful stereotype is someone else's way true of being/this depiction brings them comfort?
If you feel like a creator made a harmful stereotype, what should be done about it?
Call them out on it (and risk forcing someone to out their own mental health issues in order not to be harassed)?
When is it calling someone out for causing harm and when is it straight up censorship?
Isn't it okay as long as the creator adds warnings or tags to avoid their work?
These questions brought to you by a trans man who was dogpiled and harassed for "harmful stereotypes" in his own vent art about his own trans experiences.
To be clear: I do not need an answer to all these questions, but I do think it's important to remember that you cannot look into another person's head and see what they were thinking when they made something, and decide whether or not they should be forced to alter or erase their art for your own comfort.
I feel like you're putting words in my mouth, nowhere in the post do I advocate for callouts or harassment. I only ask that people be mindful of the fact that sometimes even fictional scenarios can parallel real world mental illness and stereotypes around it. That's it, that's the whole post. What people post is ultimately not up to me and I'm not going to go out of my way to seek out content that makes me uncomfortable. I never assume people create fan works in bad faith, and I don't believe anyone else should either, the post isn't calling anyone hateful or ableist - sometimes people just don't know where certain tropes may have come from. I don't even tell people to completely avoid all potential stereotyping, I just ask they don't get too swept up in it. I really am not going after anyone and I absolutely realize sometimes people's work isn't going to be all sunshine and rainbows, mine isn't either! In this case what I meant by harmful stereotyping is, for example, when portraying Plasmius as a separate consciousness from Vlad it gets blamed for all of Vlad's actions - Vlad was a completely rational and kind man until his mind 'split' and the voices in his head started telling him to kill people. I think it's pretty understandable that someone who has alters irl might see this and think "Oh hey, this kind of makes it sound like this person thinks all alters are inherently evil, that's upsetting." Does the OP actually think that? Probably not, but the way they write this scenario that bears striking resemblance to to irl issues seems like they've only seen this type of mental illness portrayed in a negative light before. I think people create to tell interesting stories, and sometimes to do that they take aspects from works they've seen that (unknown to them) may have been made in bad faith. I really hope you didn't send this ask with the goal of starting an argument, I'm not here to fight about opinions online, I'm here to post mediocre art and unfunny shitposts. All I stand for is unrelenting kindness, not harassment and witch hunting. I don't ask people to look for art to get angry at, I ask people who create to do a little bit of research on dissociative disorders before they integrate a direct parallel to them into their work. I obviously can't know what someone's real world experience with mental health may be, but I hoped that the wording of the post made it clear that it wasn't meant for people venting about their own mental health, but for people who don't experience dissociative identity or similar issues. English isn't my first language and I have problems that make communication through text incredibly hard. I understand that people will not get my intentions fully from one post as they cannot see into my head, but I hope this clears things up a little. This is the last thing I will say on that issue, thank you for reading.

Look, I'm sorry if my ask about the fic concept in the tags of the cat post was too harsh or anything, there's just a lot of people who are VERY uncomfortable with sexual fics being attached to their nonsexual posts, especially when it's about stuff like pets, which shouldn't be sexualized like that
related to the roofer!Steve/customer!Bucky content on my blog. More under the cut-
But, yeah, I see where you're coming from completely.
I have to start this out by saying, as much as it seems like, ohhh, how convenient, for an ask in the vein of this to go missing- I genuinely did not receive your first ask(or asks?). So, sorry if it seemed like I ignored you.
Tumblr must be being dumb again, I mean, shit, I've had a glitch for months in which the number of asks in my inbox doesn't go down on mobile. Currently I have 4 asks that I haven't had time to answer yet - but that I will get to soon - yet my inbox reads as 29 asks to answer so... 🤷‍♂️
And, yeah, it's unfair that I played the odds that the OP would never see it with my tags instead of making a new post that linked back to it but wasn't otherwise tied to it. And while the original tags I made on that post were not fully blatantly sexual, they, yeah, were still sensual/hinting at sex and could be upsetting to some people, I understand. I didn't mean that. I would say that it was a steamy/flirty meet-cute and not super sexual but... I am a very open/sexual person so, it might only read that way to me.
Consent is critically important with things like this and putting sexual tags on someone else's post relating to something non-sexual is not a good practice. I do not make a habit of it.
I would only wager that in this case, the post I reblogged had gone through a good portion of fandom and a lot of Tumblr at large already. Plus, I was reblogging it from a fandom account, not the OPs account, so it was very unlikely that the notification would come up for the OP/very unlikely they'd ever see my interaction with the post unless they dug through the massive amounts of tags/reblogs/comments on that very popular post.
The content though only became blatantly sexual once it lived on my blog afterward. It wasn't that way on my reblog. I wouldn't do that on the small off chance that OP would see it. But I did link back to my reblog with my own tags for context which, fair, is a little weird. I mean, it would be very difficult for the OP to find but, sure, it's kinda weird. Of all the things to lead to a hookup, a house cat being your wingman is out there. It's fictional, taking a scenario and changing and expanding upon it in an unrelated way- unrelated to me, but, I understand why it could/would make you uncomfortable or the OP if they happen upon it. So, I apologize.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
two things
if you're not going to talk about it then why are you putting it in the p4 tag where people are possibly going to interact with you about it
your post has nothing to do with p1/2/5 (does mention p3 later) so like... get it out of those tags????
this is not me saying that op shouldn't be critical of p4 or that I'm upset about that... that would make me a huge hypocrite. I think a lot of persona fans are critical of it, but this does feel a bit like dangling meat over a pack of wild dogs.
it does irritate me when people put the later persona games in the p1/p2 tags specifically bc there is not a ton of content there and I hate seeing unrelated stuff when I'm in the tags. it's just kinda spammy.

#you do realize that including joker out in the middle of a tag makes it show up in that tag #so you did just end up tagging it joker out
sorry i wasn’t aware of that, i thought that using the # as it is would make it look like i tagged it this way but you’re right, i just searched it and it indeed shows up. thanks for pointing this out and correcting my mistake here!
Yeah no worries! I figured a lot of people don’t know this, since even I didn’t realize it in the beginning.
It’s why Joker Out content will inevitably show up in the tag for Joker (the character) though luckily in that case people can just filter out the band’s name.
It’s also why you will from time to time see random people’s rant posts in a tag. People may have included a band/artist name in the middle of a rant tag, without realising that means it will show up in that particular tag.
I remember this being a big problem with the rise of the mcyt communities, as they would tag things in a way that included the actual word ”minecraft”, cluttering that tag with posts unrelated to the game itself. Now it’s always shortened to mc to avoid it.
So yeah. Remember to check what kind of namedrops you do when ranting in tags when you’re the OP. The tagging system doesn’t differentiate between if the word is in the beginning, middle, or end of the tag. If it’s in any tags, even in the midst of other text, it shows up in that tag.
My favourite example of this is the fact that the word transflag includes the letter combo nsfl, which I have blocked just in case. I was very confused as to why my usually very wholesome mutuals had very suddenly taken a turn for very extreme content all of a sudden. Whoops.

saw a post abt found family on my dash and it instantly unlocked Thoughts™ so i'm gonna ramble under a read more. thoughts will be both discussion of points brought up in the post and my own thoughts unrelated to it.
(i should also note that i don't hate the post, i do think it brings up some good points, but i don't think i fully see eye to eye with it and reblogging it would feel disingenuous to my own feelings. also i don't think it would be fair to op to reblog it JUST to make counterpoints and observations in the tags. i'm not even sure if all my thoughts would fit in the tag + character limit.)
i'm not trying to defend the western status quo of what a family is here, but if you say family, then lots of people are going to think about a nuclear family first and categorise characters accordingly. that's just how many societies teach shit to people. not saying it's good, but it is how it is. and i doubt that that's going to change anytime soon.
on that note, of COURSE people who sees characters having a parent/child or sibling dynamic are going to get defensive when someone else ships them. that's kind of just common sense??? hell, it's not the exact same but i get weird seeing certain characters shipped if i hc them as aro hard enough. i don't tell people to stop having their own headcanons, though, that's just weird.
although i do think op brings up a good point with their specification of unrelated mature adults, like people get into relationships others many years older/younger than them irl heaps and as long as they're both mature then that's fine. eg a 30 y/o and a 50 y/o getting together is fine.
also i do think that claiming it would be incestuous when the characters are unrelated is going a bit far. and i'm sure op's seen it happen, i can feel it in my bones.
ALTHOUGH. (this is the unrelated-to-the-post thoughts part)
i've never really, truly understood the hype around found family as a concept? and as bizarre as it may sound, i think it's because i have a stable, loving family (and probably the autism as well but mainly the stable family).
i've never even understood the hype around nuclear families. not in a "this is what you should aim for in life" way in this context, but in a "having a family is the greatest and you should love your family" way. like, to me, a family is just either 1; the people you're related to and you kinda just hang out with them i guess, or 2; the people you really really like and care about and you hang out with them.
so when you go to found family, which is meant to reject traditional family roles, i simply?? cannot compute how it's a family??? like a family, to me in my mind, at bare minimum, is siblings. if there aren't even siblings then wouldn't it just be a really close friend group at that point??? and i know this is a case of letting people label their relationships however they want and i should really just shut up and keep my nose out of other peoples' business, but i simply. cannot understand. and maybe it's just past midnight but i don't think i ever will. and i do feel like i'm missing out on something by not understanding why found family is so important to people. why it's so important to my friends.
i will stop here before this becomes about non-romantic love in general. goodbye.

After snoozing, I wanted to take a minute to be astonished at the amount of followers I have now
But also to talk about the downside to this brightside.
Because with the people who have followed me, it makes me hope that they are people who have seen at least some of my posts and liked what they see. I mostly post for myself, but also for the groups of people my posts focus on.
I post positivity and awareness for mspec lesbians, mspec gays, and their supporters. I post critiques and thinkpieces regarding the ways trans men are treated in society and the community. I post funny stories and jokes about being a furry for my fellow furry followers. Every post I make, I hope to either enlighten someone on an issue, or bring them some sense of been seen, heard, and/or cared for.
This blog, and I, the person who runs it, is full of good intentions. Anyone who looks at this blog for more than 30-60 seconds will see that.
And so that is why it's actively malicious to take a person like myself - and MANY of the other people on that list, who post about similar things - and put them on this "transandrophobia truther blocklist"
It takes everything I have ever done, everything unrelated to speaking out against transandrophobia, and erases it. Just to push some agenda to isolate and leave transmascs and trens men open to more harassment, smear campaigns, and general abuse.
It takes away my trans positivity posts, my queer positivity, my psa/awareness on exclusionist fuckery posts, and more. It reduces me and everyone else on that list to a fraction of who we fully are, all for the sake of a sick and twisted argumemt. It takes the opportunity away from us to clear our names, as well, because not only were most if not all of us blocked by OP, but we've been given a stigma to our names. People have been given a contorted, falsified reason to doubt us.
The fact it is only "TMEs" who are being put on this list, as well, despite there being numerous "TMAs" out there who support, use, and talk about transandrophobia, also goes to show you that this is a deliberate attack on transmascs and trans men. This isn't just transandrophobia anymore - this is transphobia, full stop.
Even if you don't BELIEVE in or support transandrophobia, at least think about for a second how fucked up it is that so many transmasc, non-binary, and trans men are being targeted specifically. If trans men and transmascs "only" experience transphobia, then you should be able to see that this IS a moment of transphobia. It's a directed attack, and a messy one at that.
I've seen at least two "edits/updates" made to that blocklist, with OP saying that shey mistakingly added some people who "no longer associate with these circles". This just shows that this person put little to no actual research into this blocklist. Chances are that shey just stalked through the transandrophobia tag, blogs, AND notes, and just slapped people's names on the list without a second thought.
Shey has also gotten an anon that not only brought into questioning the identity of a trans woman blogger, but also insinuated that she is secretly and ACTUALLY just a sock puppet of another transmasc blogger. The anon's proof? "They talk to each other a lot and type similarly"
This whole situation is just blatant transphobia, specifically transandrophobia, but also with some hints of transmisogyny too! This blocklist wasn't made to help or protect anyone. This blocklist was made to hurt, isolate, and hinder people.
Listen to us. Listen to transmascs and trans men. ACTUALLY listen to us, even if you feel our words and lived experiences go against your own beliefs or expectations. Stop blindly following blocklists and call out posts like this, because all it does is enable abusers, and silence the victims.
Do your own research. Think for yourself. Do not be guilted or pressured into blind obedience.
And to anyone seeing this who is new and has started to accept transandrophobia as a term and an experience: thank you. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for allowing us a word to have this. Thank you for listening to us. Just...thank you.
