Redwall Playlist: “Taggerung for Wind Ensemble” by Daniel Sauceda

In 2009, an undergraduate music student embarked on an epic journey to compose narrative music for Brian Jacques’ novel Taggerung. He created six pieces of music meant to accompany specific events from the book, one of which is Deyna’s fight with Vallug Bowbeast. Conducted by David Betancourt, a reduced orchestra recorded the medley after the music was revised and finalized in 2010. Have a listen to these clever pieces inspired by the Taggerung!
