Yet Another Twisted Wonderland Theory

Still about Yuu

I am back on my mad ramblings regarding Twisted Wonderland. This time it’s not gonna be as far fetched as a previous post I did that proved to be nothing more than connecting dots that are never there. I feel like this one actually has some merit though as long as I don’t spiral out of control thought wise. Without further ado, let’s begin.

The theory this time around: The game Yuu is more of a conglomerate of the various manga Yuus.

“But how would that make sense?” I hear you, but before I can answer any of that, we are to hit the necessary bullet point questions:

* What connects the Yuus together?

* Who’s crazy enough to do this?

* What purpose does this serve?

Starting with “What connects the Yuus together,” I would have to say I don’t have all the answers considering that, at the time of writing, one Books 1-3 are out and available. Although, I’m only aware of Books 1 & 2 being in English; I play on EN so everything will be lagging behind all things considered. And to make it easier, I’d advise to have a separate tab that has information about what is canon to Game Yuu (@starsilluminateourgalaxy, @mee-op, and @darkscorpiox are where I find all the information regarding Game Yuu)

**A/N: Now, this is where I’d make a vinn diagram but unfortunately with the busy schedule I have going on, I haven’t been able to sit down properly and go full on MatPat or Theorizer on this section before someone or something demands my brain. I will one day make this list; just one a different post or a future edit.**

Now for “Who’s crazy enough to do this” question. The answer is simple: Crowley, our deadbeat bird dad. It’s been heavily hinted, dare I say proven, that it’s him we heard in the beginning of the game as Spooky Hand TM. Spooky Hand/Crowley does this whole speech right before waking up:

“Ah, my lovely Lord,

The noble and beautiful flower of evil,

You are the most beautiful, number one in this world.

— Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who’s the most…

— For thee, guided by the Mirror of Darkness,

Follow thy heart and take the hand of the one reflected in the mirror.

Flames that turn even stars into ashes,

Ice that imprisons time,

Great tree that swallow even the sky,

Don’t be afraid of the power of darkness,

Come now, show your power,

Mine, theirs, and yours,

There’s only little time left,

Do not let go of that hand, at all cost.”

Now, going by key lines, it seems more like an incantation of sorts. Like, asking Hades to release a soul, and the companion to a flower. As if Yuu/the player is merely a seed that’s in the process of blossoming into whoever you want. Hell the “mine, theirs, and yours” line in particular strikes me as off.

Which brings me to the “what purpose” question. The answer is to merely complete a timeline that doesn’t end in tragedy. I believe there is a “time loop theory” running around in the fandom. Though it doesn’t function like the usual trope like in that one Supernatural episode; it functions more like an Undertale loop. In this case, it’s Crowley being able to do it instead of us. Now, why would this matter? I believe it’s because Crowley feels guilty about what happened the first time, most likely a death to some unknown previous Yuu. He genuinely felt sorry for this kid and decided that until he can figure it out, he’d let them stay. Plus they’re keeping Grim under control… but then they die. Best guess is either the cave he sent us to with Ace and Deuce, though that might’ve been different than the one we know, or Riddle’s Overblot. Regardless, he probably felt guilty about it, so he decided to rewind time. Except, something happened, the kid changed. He’d be confused, but he can’t blow his cover since he’s not supposed to be messing with time. So he takes it by the chin and acts normal. And the timeline does change, this Yuu (Yuuken) survives! But only a little as eventually, this one dies to Leona’s Overblot. However, he’s not letting this piece of Yuu die, he tries again. Except, it’s a different Yuu, Yuuka. The timeline changes just a little, she survives just a bit longer than the other, but she soon succumbs to death. This pattern happens until it’s Game Yuu’s turn. This time, Crowley has decided to create this Yuu, one that’ll survive everything in Twisted Wonderland! One that’ll survive Grim’s Overblot this time around! Maybe for shits and giggles, he forms this one into the image of the very first unknown Yuu. After all, if he just so happens to have something from the previous Yuus, how hard can it be to make life? However, that’s not the only thing that’s changed, he’s changed too. He was probably an actually great dude, but getting too attached to the most unluckiest kid to ever exist has wounded him. So, he tries to keep us busy and away from him. He probably cries seeing our Yuu just living life ignorant of his goal. But sevens forbid he cry, so he acts. All the while he hints at his works, calling himself kind and generous, probably wanting us to remember if possible.

Even if this theory flops like my other hot take, this makes for some hella great Crowley angst. Let the deadbeat crow suffer.

QUESTIONS

what is your special talent/skill as a roleplayer? i always try to improve myself, my characterization and writing; i like to think i’m a writer in motion. i also kinda try my best to make even unplotted interactions interesting and to carry them on as much as i can and use the ideas i have without necessarily discussing them first, which, idk, might be good? since not everyone likes to engage in plotting, i think it’s fairly easy to interact with me even without needing to plot, at least on askin. can’t say anything about my writing because i personally believe it’s good enough, but i’m not a native speaker so what sounds good to me might as well sound terribly weird to native speakers haha. trying my best here, don’t give me that look.

what is your favorite type of roleplay genre, and why? whatever enables development and / or exploration of character. i love when muses engage in interesting conversation that allow them to explain or otherwise challenge their own views, and confront their differences and pasts. learning more about my partner’s muse as my own muse, too, comes to learn about them - that’s nice. i also like writing intimacy and closeness, i find that cathartic.

why did you pick your muse? i’m still wondering myself haha i swear i just don’t know how to answer this question. askin was a slow discovery, in truth; i learned more about him and the way i envisioned him as i honed my characterization. writing him allowed me to adjust to a new writing style that i felt was more suited to his character, and i ended up settling with it. then, when i came back to this blog, i definitely approached his character with different eyes - but still, he was familiar, and i already knew what made me love him. idk why i picked him the first time though lol, i just started getting ideas and i thought ‘ok let’s give it a go’.

if you could write any other muse - but know you don’t have the muse for him/her - who would it be? sometimes i consider trying my hand at different bleach characters, like koga kuchiki, uryu, kyoraku ..... especially kyoraku. from the ac fandom, lemme say cesare.

what is one thing you think you need to work on as a partner? i rarely message people first, unless we’re close and i got something to say. i’m pretty good at small talking irl haha but on the internet, i prefer going straight to the point. i’m also pretty detached, but that’s just how i am in general and i don’t think it’s something i gotta work on sfghjks.

what would be your warning label to other roleplayers? i’m slow. my slowness does not mean disinterest, but i have a life and other hobbies, so :/ just be chill and we’ll definitely get along.

what is your favorite episode/scene of your muse? don’t wanna sound like a cishet white boy on reddit but in the manga, askin vs nimaiya is fucking epic.

what crack!ships do you have for your muse? i’m told a crackship is a ship made of characters who never interacted in canon, so ... gotta say ginjo and lille :^)

what is your senpai blog? don’t have one, but my all time fav is and will always be @skyvar u v u this angry german will tell it like it is and i’m just so invested in all of snow’s muses and the ships we have together, i’ll never get tired of writing with her.

Best ways to approach you for rp/plotting: if you want to plot, it would be best to send me an IM and ask me, then we can definitely move to discord if you’d rather. it’s possible to approach me for rp without plotting first, best way would be to send me a meme when i reblog them or simply an ic ask, which i will answer, while memes might get lost. ic asks are good ice-breakers, we can continue plotting from there.

What expectations do you hold towards your plotting partner: i need my partners to be as interested in our plot as i am. it would be great if you already have an idea, but it’s still good if you don’t, i get that coming up with ideas can be hard sometimes; mostly, i require honesty. you can definitely tell me that you got no ideas and i will do my best to help, ask questions, try to spark something. i do require the feeling of having that commitment reciprocated.

When you notice the plotting is rather one-sided, what do you do?: i tend to straight up drop the conversation lmao. no hard feelings, but if i get the feeling you’re not interested, i will take my distance - i won’t waste my energy on a plot if my partner doesn’t share my enthusiasm. still, you can always approach me again, if you’re feeling up to it / have new ideas / whatever. nice thing of online convos is that they don’t have an expiration date lol.

How do you usually plot with others, do you give input or leave most work towards your partner?: i always ask if they got any ideas to begin with. if my partner already knows, more or less, what kind of dynamic they wanna build with my character(s), that makes it infinitely easier to build something meaningful. it’s still fine if they don’t, i will usually ask a lot of questions regarding their muse’s opinions / feelings / etc., and try to navigate from there. a question i usually ask is: is there any aspect of your muse you’d like to explore? i think that’s a pivotal point in any interaction.

When a partner drops the thread, do you wish to know?: YES / NO / DEPENDS. - And why?: if they feel like telling me, why not. but usually, i don’t warn when i drop a thread, so it’s not expected of my partners ever. - What should your partner do when dropping a thread?: nothing in particular tbh. they can tell me or approach me to start a new thread if they wish to, but it’s not required.

What could possibly lead you to drop a thread?: i might lose interest in a thread, especially if i feel like it’s going nowhere or if the inspiration for it simply doesn’t come. it’s never happened so far that i had to drop a thread because it was making me uncomfortable, but that could still be a reason for me to. in general, though, i would approach my partner in that case. - Will you tell your partner?: YES / NO / DEPENDS.

Is communication in the rpc important to you? YES / NO. - And why?: absolutely. i’d rather avoid awkward situations or misunderstandings of any kind; if something’s up, tell me. i also like to communicate with my writing partners (be it in the tags of our threads or in IMs), makes me feel like the enthusiasm is not one-sided and i find it generally pleasant. - Are you okay with absolute honesty, even if it may means hearing something negative about you and/or portrayal?: sure. we gotta stay polite, but honest. - Do you think you can handle such situation in a mature way? YES / NO.

Why do you rp again, is there a goal?: to have fun, to cultivate my writing skills and my english, and to explore my favorite characters.

Wishlist, be it plots or scenarios: i want to develop aizen’s wandenreich verse, because i’m deep in quincy hell and i think his dynamics with quincy muses could be super interesting. anything involving the intricacies of bleach politics is super interesting to me, be it with aizen or with my two quincy muses - who, btw, are also good to explore dynamics between quincies / their culture / relationships etc.

Themes I won’t ever rp / explore: i won’t write anything pertaining to sexual assault.

What Type of Starters do you prefer / dislike, can’t work with?: it’s gotten difficult to work with starters such as “you summoned me / do you need anything / did you call for me” etc. i used to receive that kind of starters all the time with aizen, and i can’t come up with something new every damn time. i also have a hard time working with starters / replies that already feel like a closed conversation and don’t give me anything to reply to.

What type of characters catch your interest the most?: i’m not sure i have a type. aizen is pretty much an exception, the only example of an already well-built character i write, since i tend to gravitate around minor ones that don’t have much material and that i can work on and expand without being affected by the fandom’s opinion or whatever. somehow i always tend to rp tall guys-

What type of characters catch your interest the least?: children and teenagers don’t interest me for the most part. characters who don’t have a shred of an opinion or can’t offer any interesting conflicts. overly friendly, mushy, affectionate and flowery characters are really not my cup of tea either.

What are your strong aspects as rp partner?: oh god i have no idea. i’m very laid-back, i guess. i’ll never pressure my partners for replies, i don’t think i’m owed a reply in the first place because we all have lives offline, so i’ll never take it to heart if a partner drops a thread. if i really feel like our roleplaying styles don’t mesh, it will be at my own discretion to do something about it. another strong aspect i have ....... i think i have a decent grasp on all my muses? especially aizen. of course ur free to disagree lol. also, lately i’ve been p active, so that’s it.

What are your weak aspects as rp partner?: i’m really slow. i might speed up for my closest friends, with whom i plot / rp regularly, but usually i take quite some time to reply to random unplotted threads. i probably have a thousand other flaws as a rper, but this is the biggest one that comes to my mind rn.

Do you rp smut?: YES / NO. Do you prefer to go into detail?: YES / NO / DEPENDS. Are you okay with black curtain?: YES / NO. - When do you rp smut? More out of fun or character development?: i don’t write detailed sex scenes. sorry lmao they’re just not interesting to me. however, i’m super-ok with writing anything around it, like intimate scenes etc. in fact i find it somewhat soothing. - Anything you would not want to rp there?: the nitty-gritty part is already a no, but i guess also sexual violence and shit like that. it’s a no.

Are ships important to you?: YES / NO. Would you say your blog is ship-focused?: YES / NO. Do you use read more?: YES / NO / SOMETIMES. Are you: Multi-Ship / Single-Ship / Dual-Ship — Multiverse / Singleverse. - What do you love to explore the most in your ships?: all my ships are with snow 8′) and ur never bored with her. in general, i love being able to explore the muses’ relationships, their conflicts and their peaceful moments, especially in relation to canon events! - What is your smut tag?: nsfw / ........ my n*sfw posts are rare anyway.

Are you okay with pre-established relationships?: YES / NO. - And what kind of ones?: to an extent, i prefer pre-est relationships to first meetings - which they can get a bit dull after some time. i’m ok with mostly anything, and only more selective when it comes to relationships that might severely alter my muse’s canon / past / overall character.

- What could possibly make your Muse interesting towards others, why should they rp with this particular character of yours now, what possible plots do they offer?: not to stroke my own feathers but aizen offers a perfect chance at character development to any and all bleach characters. he’s the main villain, he holds some wild opinions, and whether you agree or disagree with him, he leaves no one indifferent. aizen is the main cornerstone of bleach, and if you want your muse to questions themselves and the system / world around them, interacting with him is the best way to start. also, aizen interacted with a fuckton of people, knows practically everything there is to know, is responsible for significant amount of canon events, so you see ... whatever character you write, aizen has the full potential to be extremely relevant in the course of their development.

- With what type of Muses do you usually struggle to rp with?: children, ordinary low-ranked shinigami (i find it hard when it’s out of the blue, even in aizen’s captain and lieutenant verses ... because interactions would likely be only work-related, and won’t go far), characters whose personalities really have nothing to do with aizen. unfortunately, he’s not my easiest muse, and i don’t want to force interactions with him. - With what type of Muses do they usually work well with?: characters who have opinions, some political involvement, in general characters with whom aizen had a dynamic in canon.

- What interests your Muse(s) in general: reading, calligraphy, philosophy (especially in-world philosophy), science (again, mostly related to the specificity of the bleach universe), the very careful crafting of his plan- - What do they desire, is their goal?: kill the soul king and take its place, destroy the institutions of soul society, subdue them. and then rule, as the soul king never did before. - What catches their interest first when meeting someone new?: the idiosyncracies in their behavior, the particularities, their possible weaknesses. - What do they value in a person?: very little, usually. he may appreciate a resolute personality, strength, and intelligence. - What themes do they like talking about?: speaking mostly of mundane talks, he likes conversing about his interests. it takes a lot for him to share any personal information, though. - Which themes bore them?: anything about the greater good, friendship, love, very human topics.

- Did they ever went through something traumatic?: seeing the soul king, in all things like a ghost stalking his dreams, and well ... spending his early life in rukongai as a whole. being forced to consume other souls in order to survive. the first times his reiatsu killed anyone who tried to get near him. - What could possibly trigger them?: it’s rare that he will outwardly show signs of distress, i’d say almost impossible. the few times the soul king still appears in his mind, greatly upsets him though. - What could set them off, enrage them?: the soul king gets him particularly heated. urahara, as we witnessed. after his defeat, ichigo, to an extent. - What could lead to an instant kill?: kubo was a coward who didn’t dare let him kill any relevant character, but actually aizen kills very liberally.

- Is there someone /-thing they hate?: the soul king, urahara. he has a strong disdain for yamamoto, and that joke of C46. - Is there someone /-thing they love?: himself. tousen

Is your Muse easy to approach?: YES / NO. - Best ways to approach them?: he’s only really easy to approach for bleach characters, who, depending on who they are, have different eligible verses to further facilitate the interaction. humans / powerless bleach characters can’t really interact with him tho. - Where are they usually to find?: soul society or hueco mundo. i have a verse set in the wandenreich.

Something you may still want to point out about your muse?: aizen is not a particularly easy muse, but it’s part of his overall mosaic to be somewhat unapproachable and distant. i’m not out to make him someone he is not, so forgive me in advance if plotting with me turns out to be difficult in a way or another. he’s very dear to me, and i try my best to do him justice! while my main headcanons may not affect our interactions specifically, i still ask my partners to look them up (they’re linked in my about page) because they’re essential to my portrayal and it makes me happy to have them acknowledged. i think that’s all lmao. come visit me over at my quincy boys too.

BTS-story ; The Apocalypse

episode 1 ; 'Why are they bleeding?'

a/n: i hope this going to be a good series. Finally, episode 1 is out! I've been waiting so long to release this just because its different from my other stories. It has a lot of angst in it and gets pretty dark, I hope whoever reads this enjoys it!

beep! ... beep! ... beep! ... beep! ...

shut up, shut up, shut up. "Ugh....., no school.." I mumbled.

beep! ... beep! ... beep! ... beep! ...

"Be quiet.." I turned around to face the other way and place my arm on my eyes to block out the sunlight.

beep! ... beep! ... beep! ... beep! ...

....

bee-

"What's wrong?! Yn, you okay?!" He yells as he slams my door open.

"Shut up." I muttered again and threw the blanket over my head, "What? What was that bang?" He says, I point over to my closet door and wave my finger, "Over there."

"Yn," I can hear his footsteps getting closer.

"Is that your alarm clock?" His feet are getting heavier, I already know what about to happen.

"Now you have a smudge on your door." He YANKS the blanket off me and grabs my ankles.

"Ok, ok, ok, Vinn wait!" I sit up and grab his wrist as tight as I can.

"I'll do it."

"Look, you see, you will, but you don't HAVE to, Vinny."

"Yn! That's your fourth clock!!" He yells at me and pulls my ankles—pulling me closer to him then throwing me over his shoulder and carrying me to the bathroom.

"Vinn!! I'm sorry, I won't do it again!! I swear!" He puts me in the tub and before I get up he runs out and shuts the door. You would think that having a male roommate would cause some sparks to fly but oh no—no, no, no, no. I and Vinn are—are animals, he's the person that gets notified when I end up in the hospital, he's the person that gets called when I'm too drunk, Vinn seems amazing, right? But you see, the thing is, once he arrives at the hospital he calls me an idiot and leaves when he gets called to pick me up, he tells the caller to call a cab and tell them to bring me to a hotel because he doesn't want to make me hangover soup.

Well, that's what I used to think, these days I find myself yearning for his nagging, I just want to hear his voice one more time, miss him so much.

"Yn, you have to wait like usual." I can tell he's sitting in front of the door right now, he does his weird tongue clicking noise and whenever I do something wrong, he throws me on his shoulders like I'm his girlfriend and locks me in the bathroom.

I was thinking about confessing about how I feel...we're best friends but I can't help it.

"Vinn.."

"Hm?"

"Vinny...."

"What?"

"Vsauce...."

"Yn, what?!" He says opening the door aggressively. "Nothing!" I take the opportunity to leave, skipping my way out and into the kitchen, I went to make a bowl of cereal because I had only woken up and hour ago but as I do, I take a glimpse out the window. "Is it still morning?" I say but shrug it off as I mumble to myself, I pour milk into my bowl as I hear Vinn walking into the kitchen. "Do you want some Vinny?" I look at him and offer him a bowl but he's just staring outside; I look at him and look towards the window and then look back at him.

"Vinn..? Did you hear me?" I walk over to him and stand next to him to see what he's looking at, his eyebrows are scrunched up—it's like he's seen a ghost or something.

"Yn..."

"Hm? What is it?"

"What's the time...?" He keeps talking to me but still gazing through the window, at this point I think if someone were to be robbing us, he would still be standing there. I look at my watch and I get confused myself.

"Uhm, it's 1 pm.." I put my arm behind my back and fiddle with my watch.

"Is there a lunar eclipse or something? What's going on? You know, before you threw your clock, its been like that all day.." He snaps out of his trance and reaches for the tv remote, I don't understand what's going on, but I have a horrible feeling.

[TV] "BREAKING NEWS— ITS ALREADY 1 IN THE AFTERNOON BUT THE SUN HASNT RISEN. NO REPORTS OF-BOOM-" the TV goes static.

"Vinn, what's going on...?!" I tap his arm repeatedly as I stare at the empty screen, my heart is racing..w-was that a bomb??

"I don't know yn.." He runs over to the window and sticks his head outside. "Yn...Yn...YN, COME HERE! Look, the sky, it's gotten darker."

I quickly get nervous and speed walk my way towards him. We both look at each other and I noticed something..horrible...

"Vinn, omg..!"

"What? What Yn?" His are widened and then he grabs my wrist and starts walking towards our rooms, quickly I stop in my tracks and...

"Vinn, you're crying...you're crying an-and you're ears are bleeding!!" He lets go of my wrist and touches his eyes and ears.

"What the hell..?" Vinn grabs the napkins on the table and wipes his face but proceeds to his room.

"What'r doing?"

"Grab your phone, your charger, your keys, and a pair of clothes, now." I stand there in front of his door in shock, I'm speechless, this can not be happening, not right now anyway...

"Yn! I fucking said now!"

"O-oh, yeah okay!" I run to my room and grab my bag, I put the things he told me to, but then we hear sirens.

[SIRENS BLARING] "ALL RESIDENTS, PLEASE EVACUATE YOUR HOMES, THIS IS AN EMERGENCY. PLEASE LEAVE ALL YOUR BELONGINGS, BRING ONLY WHAT’S NECESSARY! THIS IS NOT A DRILL! I REPEAT, THIS IS NOT A DRILL!"

I look out my window and see people running and screaming, people are stumbling into their cars, yelling at each other to hurry up and some are even...

bleeding.

Why are they bleeding?

Why was he...bleeding?

AH okay holy shit I honestly didn’t expect to make it this far, but I really didn’t expect to make it this far this quickly? Bakugo and Midoriya were my first established blogs, and that was only just over two months ago, Uraraka was established only a month ago, but here we are!

I’d just like to take a moment to say thank you to the fandom in general. I’ve never been in an active fandom before, and the few fandoms I have been in weren’t that... welcoming to newcomers - I was terrified to join this one, especially because going in? I didn’t know anybody (except Ray but we joined around the same time so that’s different). But despite that, you guys saw these new blogs floating around and swept me into the community with hardly any hesitation.

I’ve never felt more welcome in a sect of this website - I’ve been over here more than on my oc blog, and that blog’s been my home since I was a teen.

But enough mushy shit, you’re here for the bias list, whiiiich I’m putting under a cut so that I don’t clog up dashes!

@spitecremated: Babe I don’t need to write a blurb on you, you know how I feel, but it’s not a bias list without my fucking boyfriend. You encouraged me to join the fandom, helped me find confidence in new muses (forced me to make some of them, too). You’re a walking inspiration, and holy shit I love you. No matter if it’s uniquely dark plots, or unlikely ships, you’re always a blast - thank you for sticking with me so long ❤

@steelhardpecs: Holy shit, Soda. You were the first person to interact with me here, the first person to point at my blogs and go “you, you’re fine, don’t worry.” Genuinely I can’t imagine this fandom experience without you. From screaming about ships, to encouraging one another, to just talking about our days outside of the internet, seriously you’ve become super important to me in only a few months.

@bakvhatsv: Okay it’s not a bias list without you, Vinn. I know we’ve only talked a little so far, but seriously seeing you on the dash, or plotting, everything with you is amazing. You’re super easy to chat with, and I really do hope we can talk more.

@cconstruct: Xvcvh, you’re so great to chat with! I was a little intimidated at first, but really the more I talk with you, you’re so nice. @happilyshanghaied and @fyeahcorbinbleu asked me to do the McD chart with Veronica Mars. Ms. Happily assumed Veronica was firmly on the McDonald’s side, but you might be surprised with my highly scientific totally subjective results.

Okay, let’s start with those clearly and solidly in the Kids Chanting McDonald’s corner:

Dick Cassablancas - he’s also making dirty jokes about getting some meat or something

Cindy “Mac” Maczenzie, doing it mostly ironically but she does want some fries

Parker Lee, no irony whatsoever, just excited and bubbly and bouncing up and down in her seat

Lilly Kane - doing it with unironic joy if with her friends, but doing it with a hard edge and a mischievous glint in her eye if in the car with her family

Leo D’Amato - but he secretly wants Pizza Hut

Gia Goodman - clapping her hands in time with the chant

Corny - needs those munchies

Deputy Sacks, who is just so happy to be included yk?

Trina Echolls - thinks it’s hilarious, will chant even if she’s in the car by herself

Ruby Jetson?

Troy Vandegraff - if he falls anywhere, it’d be here

Now for those who fall somewhere between Chanting McDonald’s and Single Black Coffee:

Veronica Mars - I’d put her right in the middle of this line. It depends on who she’s in the car with. If her dad or another adult she gets along with is driving, she is chanting McDonald’s the whole way, maybe even doing some cheerleader arm movements in time with the chant. If she’s with any 09-ers, who of course would be chanting, she’d be single black coffee in a heartbeat. With her friends, it depends on who is driving, who is chanting, etc. Whichever would be the most amusingly annoying thing in any given situation is what she’s likely to do. So, say, she’s driving and Mac and Wallace are chanting to be funny, she’d single black coffee them for sure. On the other hand, if Logan is driving and she and Lilly are sitting in the backseat being goofballs, they’d be chanting together.

Jackie Cook - she’s closer to the McDonald’s side of the line, but she’ll single black coffee anyone if she’s in a bad mood no questions asked.

Cliff McCormack is smack dab in the middle, it really depends on the day for him. He’ll always chant if Keith is driving, though.

Vinne Van Lowe - closer to McDonald’s - he’s always up for a good childish chant - but if he’s driving a Mars anywhere, he’s going for that single black coffee.

So, right, on to those firmly in the Single Black Coffee corner:

Logan Echolls - smack dab, folks. He will never chant, he will never say we have food at home. He will always silently pull in to the drive-through and order that single black coffee and then drive away. Every time. He can be counted on for this role, grumpy snarkmaster that he is. His friends do the chant every time he’s driving just to make him do it now.

Aaron Echolls - will not only do this, but will probably then toss the coffee out the window without even drinking it, and then later blame you for the whole thing

Kendall Casablancas - then she primly sips it all the way home, ignoring all protests

Madison Sinclair - then she’d spit in the coffee and force the kids to drink it - too soon???

Dan Lamb - he thinks it’s funny though and doesn’t get that this is either the asshole role or the straight man role and will be cracking up the whole time

Next is somewhere between Single Black Coffee and Food at Home:

Don Lamb - mostly a single black coffee guy, buy he might food at home the deputies or his brother from time to time.

Solidly “We Have Food at Home” people:

Duncan Kane, the wet blanket

Van Clemmons - he’s at the top of this apex, it’s his job, but you know he’s secretly grinning at the McD kids

Celeste and Jake Kane both fall here, in a sort of quietly angry way

Alicia Fennel is also here, but with a sort of tired tolerant tone of voice

Lynn Echolls I think?

Carrie Bishop (the TV version, let’s not get into the movie version)

Now we come to Food at Home and Chanting McD folks:

Wallace Fennel - he’s pretty close to the Food at Home spot, but if he’s in the car with Veronica and/or Mac he’ll join in on the chanting sometimes

Eli “Weevil” Navarro - closer to the food at home spot as he’s always trying to keep his guys in line, as well as when he’s babysitting his younger relatives (especially as he becomes a dad himself), but he has his chanting McDonald’s moments too - usually if Veronica is the one driving

Keith Mars is really close to Food at Home, but if Veronica is driving he’ll chant McDonald’s just to annoy her

Stosh “Piz” Piznarski - goes with the majority each time, has no real opinion either way and doesn’t get any of this tbh

Other:

Cassidy “Beaver” Casablancas - right in the middle of the triangle, usually does the exact opposite of what you’re expecting him to do

Meg Manning - none, she always buys the “kids” anything they want

Hannah Griffith - smiles benignly at the chanters but doesn’t join in herself

We could totally be the Avengers

@espritneo, you said you’d be down for a snippet of the superhero/ alien fae story, so I decided to share this. Thoughts welcome! (Not really any plot relevant bits, but it does a good job introducing the characters.)

“Dude, we’re totally the Avengers!” Chad said excitedly. Lucy rolled her eyes.

“No, hear me out,” Chad started in his explanation voice. Lucy sighed loudly, hoping to discourage Chad, but it didn’t do any good.

“First, you have myself and Allen. Genius level intellect. And that’s being modest. The funding is somewhat lacking for actually being Ironman or Batman, though we hit Spiderman’s level of creativity quite nicely, though without the power-providing radioactive spider bite that gave Peter Parker his motivation…But overall we do ok. Especially without the comic book catalysts. Those tend to be pretty nasty, tragic backstories to provide motivation and depth and all that.” Chad drew in a deep breath before continuing. Lucy fixed Chad with a pained look, hoping to guilt him into stopping. Chad smiled at her cheekily, proceeding with his explanation full tilt.

“Then there’s you, Lucy.” The glint in Lucy’s eyes told him that he was treading on dangerous ground, but that was half of the thrill. “You’re a very intelligent girl, though not on the same level as Allen and me, obviously…”

“Obviously?” Lucy said dangerously.

“Don’t be snippy about it. It’s a fact, nobody’s judging, we all love you just as much,” Chad replied saucily. “And you’ve got that whole super secret spy thing going on. I’m pretty sure you could kill me and not break a sweat. I greatly respect that, and it scares me a fair bit.”

“You can’t prove anything,” Lucy said calmly. Chad nodded, giving her the point.

“That’s very true. It just adds to the level of your mysteriousness. Very good for a superhero. Unknown backstories are intriguing. And unlike Allen and myself, you have actual talents, we just make cool stuff to compensate for the lack.”

“Are you going to spend this whole meal monolouging?” Lucy asked.

“Yes,” answered Chad. “Just listen and eat your spaghetti.” He shoveled in a couple quick bites for emphasis. “Now, moving on the more exotic members of our Avengers team. Jeb. As an actual alien, I’ll address his position on our team first.”

“You do realize we just live together, that we’re not an actual crime or evil fighting team?” Lucy asked acidly. Chad ignored her.

“Jeb is a real life alien. Real. Life. Alien. Like Thor! Jeb is totally our Thor! Position of authority on an alien planet, super buff, probably has all kinds of cool skills we don’t even know about yet, but will be slowly revealed as the plot advances!

“Not in a comic book,” Lucy reminded him. “or a movie. There is no ‘plot’. Just our average lives…”

“Lucy, darling, have you not been listening? Our lives are totally not average, we are on our way to being Avengers! We’re just one national disaster and passing our midterm exams away from our destiny!”

“Have you even started studying?” Lucy asked.

“Do I need to study?” Chad retorted. “Don’t change the subject. Where was I? Oh yes, Jeb and the crazy powers he may or may not possess! Do you have any crazy powers you haven’t told us about yet, Jeb?” The broad-shouldered brunette just shrugged. Chad seemed to accept this as a reasonable response and continued with his assessment of how they were totally the Avengers.

“Then we have Vinn. You, dear Vinn, are our reformed villain.”

“I’m the villain?” Vinn asked, disgruntled.

“You did help an alien race try to invade the planet,” Allen reminded him gently. Vinn hung his head and pushed his spaghetti around with his fork. Jeb clapped a reassuring hand on the younger man’s shoulder. Frankie shot Chad a dirty look.

“Hey!” Chad protested. “I said reformed! Vinn, buddy, you’re part of our team. You and I kind of butt heads, but hey, that’s family. That’s just how it works. And, you’re half alien, which is real cool, have you reconsidered giving me that blood sample yet? No? Fine… Anyway, the point I’m trying to make is, you actually have a power. Like, a legit power! You can shape shift! Do you even know how cool that is? Are you absolutely sure about the blood? Frankie, don’t look at me like that. It was worth a shot. Could you imagine how cool it would be if I could figure out how to shape shift?”

“The world might very well end,” Lucy said drily.

“It would not!” Chad protested. Then he thought about it for a moment. “Well, you might have a little bit of a point. I’m much better with tech, anyway.”

“So you’ve described us,” Lucy said. “Big whoop. Even if we’re all a little bit… special, if you will, that doesn’t make us the Avengers.”

“Luce, you’re missing the point. I’m totally Tony Stark, but without the money and arrogance.” Lucy made a sound of disbelief, which Chad pointedly ignored.

“Allen is Bruce Banner. Mild-mannered, super sweet, but man, do not get on his bad side. It won’t end well for you. Lucy, my dearest, you are the Black Widow herself, Natasha Romanoff. You can argue and deny all you want, but you’ll never convince me that you’re not some kind of super spy. So don’t interrupt. We’ve already established that Jeb is Thor. That’s an easy one. I suppose that would make Vinn our Loki, but with a redemption arc. Vinn, don’t get all depressed again, do you know how much of a fan favorite Loki is? Especially with the ladies…” Chad informed Vinn with a cheeky wink. Vinn stared at Chad with his mouth slightly open. Chad viewed this as an invitation to break down the appeal of Loki to the ladies.

“There has to be a reason all these girls are into Loki, right? So here’s what I think. First of all, he’s got that bad boy appeal. Girls love a bad boy. Usually because they think they can change him. Apparently chicks dig that. ‘He’s damaged, but I can fix him’ type of thing. I think that’s mostly it. That and being attractive. Did I hit it, ladies?” He looked back and forth between Frankie and Lucy, who were both just staring at him. Chad shrugged and returned his attention to Vinn, who was also staring at him somewhat blankly.

“Not that you need fixing, or anything, Vinn, but, there are a lot worse things in life than being compared to Marvel’s most attractive villain.”

“Then who would I be?” Frankie asked. “Since I’m not super smart, or a spy, if that’s true, or an alien, or a sexy ex-villain… Where does that leave me?”

“Do I have to answer the question, or can I jump on the fact that you pretty much just called Vinn sexy?” Chad asked.

“What, what, what!” Frankie spluttered, her face turning bright red. “I did no such thing! I was just going with your character explanations!”

“Mmm, whatever you want to believe, Frankie-doll. But I’ll leave it alone for the moment in favor of addressing your question. You can be our Phil Coulson! Adored by Avengers and fandom alike!”

“So I’m going to die a horrible, tragic death?” Frankie asked, more to needle Chad than anything else.

“Perhaps, but the fandom will bring you back by the sheer power of their denial. And then you can have your own spin off tv show!”

Allen tapped Chad on the shoulder.

“Chad, I think you’ve traumatized them with your opinion enough for one night, don’t you? And don’t we have a time-sensitive project going on down in the lab? Let’s go check on that and let everyone finish their supper in peace, ok?” Allen said.

“Oh! Right! I almost forgot! What would I do without you keeping me on track?” Chad asked, obviously not offended by the implication he was overwhelming his roommates.

“Blow things up more often,” Allen supplied helpfully. The rest of the table winced, very aware of the truth of that statement. Chad caused explosions on an almost weekly basis even with Allen to keep him in check.

“Probably true,” Chad agreed cheerfully, taking his plate with him as he disappeared into the basement. Allen stood up to follow him.

“Thank you all for your patience,” he said to everyone in general. “Chad does care for you all very much,” Allen explained. “This is how he expresses it, in case you were wondering.” With that, he followed Chad to the basement, hopefully to prevent any explosions. The slightly shell-shocked group at the table sat in silence for several minutes.

“That really just happened,” Lucy said slowly. “Like, it really happened. Are we sure his IQ is as high as he says it is?”

“I’m going to have to go with yes,” Vinn said slowly. “Whatever else that was, it was very well thought out. You have to give him that.”

“Yeah,” Frankie agreed, “You’re not wrong…”

“He’s so set on this superhero thing,” Lucy sighed.

“And you’re so against it?” Vinn asked.

“Not on principle,” Lucy admitted. “I just like playing devil’s advocate to pretty much anything Chad suggests. He needs someone to keep him humble, or that ego of his is going to explode.”

“So… you do think we could be the Avengers?” Jeb asked.

“I didn’t say that,” Lucy corrected quickly. “All my arguments are still valid. I just don’t disagree with it quite as much as I let Chad think I do. Someone has to keep that boy in line.”

“Isn’t that Allen’s job?” Vinn asked. Frankie snorted.

“Ish. You should have seen the two of them before the rest of you moved in. At least Chad is straight forward. Allen is devious. He scares me more than Chad, honestly. Chad, I always know where he’s coming from. I don’t always understand it, but his very nature is brutally honest. Allen is… sneaky. I never quite know what his angle is, what he wants to get out of a situation. Not that Allen’s not a good kid,” Frankie finished lamely. “You guys know what I’m trying to say?” she asked. Lucy rubbed her shoulder gently.

“We know what you mean, sweetie,” Lucy reassured her. “We know how much you care for all of us. You wouldn’t tolerate this level of crazy in your house if you didn’t.” She paused. “Huh. Maybe you are our Phil Coulson. Moral support, anchor, and borderline babysitter all in one.”

Why The Fast and Furious has gone downhill in the last years

Fandom Research Essay

The year was 2002, cars were somewhat normal during the day, car movies were always just that a car movie, but people wanted something different and that was of, “The fast and Furious.” It was the first movie in which both action and car stunts were very frequent in the movies, Fast and Furious was arguably one of the best car movies to come out in the 21st century, but it has shortly changed more into an action movie leaving what originally started the franchise.

When the first Fast and Furious was released in 2001 it was a movie that came right when it was needed. It was a time when car manufacturers from Asia had started to make cars that were cheap and fuel efficient but also that gave them the opportunity to be a quick sports car. Which in 2001 was something that was very popular among teenagers and young adults. The producers from this movie hit their target perfect on the bulls-eye.

It quickly became an instant hit among young adults, soon it was way more common for people to tune their grocery runner to go and become faster than a corvette.

To see how I noticed the franchise leave the origins I need to talk about the past movies. The first movies plot was all about a young driver that was a cop going undercover into a young street racing gang. The majority of this movie was focused on winning races and around the cars. 2 Fast 2 Furious was around the same thing where the same cop from the first had gone rouge and now street races to keep a living. He faces jail time or to go undercover to help take down a drug dealer which the successfully do. The third movie in the franchise Tokyo Drift, no one really understands why this one is in the series so I won’t waste time on it either. Now things started getting a little different around 2009 when Fast & Furious came out. This was the first movie that started to change things up a little bit. It was one of the first movies where the plot started to change and there were less car scenes and more action parts. This is a trend that starts to become normal until The Fate of the Furious was released in 2017, which had more action scenes than any car scenes and more ridiculous stunts that seem almost inhuman.

Another piece of evidence that makes it very obvious that the franchise has changed is the characters. In the first movie it was very evident that the character were street racers and really nothing else. But, as the series goes on things started to change it was no longer degenerates that all they knew how to do was street race. Now, they started to become characters from all walks of life. One of the most notable is Dwayne Johnson playing a CIA officer in the fourth installment of the franchise. His job was to track down the crew and put them away. Which begs the question, how did a CIA officer get dragged into playing a role in this movie to catch simple street racers. And the answer is the characters somehow became international criminals that were able to take on anyone in the world, even an international arms dealer as shown in the most recent movie. But, they still needed something important to be able to keep up with these people and that is expensive sports cars.

When the first movie came out the cars that were used were mainly of the same class. They were all cars that most of us would consider a great everyday car; they were Honda Civics, Toyotas, and Nissans. The fast and furious crew would then equip them with turbo, nos, and multiple other parts that would make it very simple theme for to be a car that was capable of out running most European sports cars. As the series went on though the cars drastically started to change, to cars that only had another 20 like it. There weren’t any scenes that would make you wonder where they came from or how they did it. In the recent movies they started to do stunts that would make one wonder that thought that any of us would think that is humanly possible. In the recent movie some of the stunts included Dwayne Johnson falling out of the Fourth story floor landing on the car, parachuting a car and landing perfectly on the street.

Now some would say that in the changing of the movie it has come to help the movie out which I do believe in some ways it has. The increasing ridiculous stunts, cars and characters have helped the series become ever popular among a younger generation. In USA Today it was shown that as the movies went on there was an increasing support among the younger crowds and helped the movies has continued success. But, with that move it has also lost the original followers that helped the movie get to where it is.

One of the obvious things that past movies have really started to notice lately is that the movie has started to contain less race scenes during the movies. Which is kind of ridiculous because that the original reason why a lot of people decided to become movie fans. Now, I understand why the directors have decided to do this and its because they wanted to help and add more people to be able to come and start watching the movie. And even Vinn Diesel who plays Dominic Toretto came out and said, “Our characters have evolved to kind of 'save the world' status that it's hard to justify a race anymore in this universe. So we were adamant about trying to find the perfect place to set that up, and the idea that we were able to make this race about honor was such a cool thing and such a throwback to the first one ironically.”

Vin Diesel who is ultimately the poster child for the movie series. Which states the obvious that even producers have come out and said that they know that the franchise has even started to change.

The one question that has been on the majority of fans has been, “why has the series been going downhill since the first movie?” Now, the movies are having increasing bigger budgets but for some reason the movies have been on a slow decline through the years. USA Today recently put out a news article that ranked the fast and furious movies from worst to best. What came in worst was the most recent movie came in as worst movie while the second movie came in as the best. Which is interesting to show that as the series gone on fans have been rating it worse and worse. Ultimately wanting a better version of the movie, what it originally was.

After going through and showing how through multiple facts and claim its quite obvious that the franchise has slowly changed overtime. Now the question is, Will fast and furious ever get back to what it originally was? I think to do that it would take a total change of where it has been going and get back to what it originally was. They would need to focus on what it originally started and that of them being street racers
