Not a peep

Sorry to all my unfinished requests sitting in my inbox. I will do them eventually. But their's so many character type requests and those take the most out of me because I need to really think. So I'm taking an intermission to write what I want to write. TADC Crew x Eerily Silent Reader

Caine

You never talking or making any kind of noise intrigues Caine. He has never met a human that never talks, non the less never makes any noise at all. He will most likely try to get you to say something or set up scenarios where you trip and knock something over. But they never work. You either notice them before hand. Or are able to think fast enough to stop any noise. Once he's over the initial want to disrupt your constant silence he doesn't really think of you differently. You're unique sure but you're still human.

Gangle

You freak Gangle tf out. The fact that you kind of just appear without her knowing. Or you could have been standing near her for minutes her not knowing. It makes her think you're going to do something bad to her like Jax. You never talk, or emote. Your face always unchanging. After enough time of you doing nothing good nor bad to her she starts to get used to you. You still make her uncomfortable but the fact that you haven't done anything makes her not as worried. She still isn't ok with the fact that you kind of just are around her and she doesn't know. But with enough time she will react less strongly to it. It'll never not scare her. But it can be lessened.

Zooble

Zooble appreciates you. You don't do anything to help or hinder her. You don't annoy her or try to talk to her. You are the only person she will willingly let into her room. And she stays true to that. Because when you are with her you don't touch things and don't make noise. You just exist near her. She doesn't like people. But you give her some much needed connection and attachment without pushing her like everyone else. She will secretly try and make you talk, but she never goes as far as a lot of the others. It's most just a "Hey, you feel like getting something to eat?" Just basic questions thinking you might slip up one of these times.

Kinger

Kinger surprisingly doesn't dislike you. You'd think with how jumpy he is with normal people he would really hate your quiet nature but he doesn't. Sure you scare him more often then not but he knows you are never trying to. You just exist in a way that works for you and that leads to everyone getting jump scared every other hour. You seem really mentally stable compared to everyone and not surprisingly are a very good listener. So he enjoys being around you. In moderation. It's hard to keep up conversation without any responses or even reactions from the person you're talking to. It's like talking to a living breathing inanimate object that moves. He's genuinely debating on if you're a robot or not. But your chest rises and falls just like his, you eat, drink, sleep (despite not having to), and move in a very human way.

Ragatha

At first like many others you, freak her out. She feels like you're planning something bad with how you never talk or interact. You just observe. She feels like you're gathering information to better mess with/kill everyone. It makes her sweat and get all stiff when you're so much as in the same room as her. It takes her a whole lot of time to realize you aren't hostile. You aren't really friendly either. You're just there. She appreciates you not being bad. But also you're unnerving to her and everyone else. You know when you scare someone and they "jump"? Well when you just appear next to her she jumps, literally. One time she was already on edge then you appeared next to her, she got a good foot off the ground that time.

Jax

Naturally once meeting you Jax does everything he physically can to make you talk, or react, or make any kind of sound. He always fails no matter how good his "prank" was. It annoys him. One time you got hit in the face with a full paint bucket and you didn't react or cry out in pain. You took the hit straight in the nose then hit the floor. Despite that and your nose being caved in you didn't react in the slightest and you didn't make even the smallest sound. Now he avoids you. He's scared that if he keeps pushing you're going to snap and kill him. And I don't know about you but I wouldn't mess with someone who can take a full paint bucket to the face, get their nose broken and not react at all.

Pomni

You initially freaked out Pomni but she's actually learned to really appreciate you. You still make her slightly uncomfortable but she isn't afraid of you like she used to be. You are an amazing listener, you are surprisingly strong considering how you look, you keep Jax away from her, and you help her look for an exit. Well help is a strong word. You just exist around her and every now and again when she asks for your help with something you do. She really wonders if you are just like that or getting put into the digital realm messed with your head somehow. But she can't worry about that now. Right now she needs to find a way out of here.

(You can kinda tell when I am or am-n't writing for myself. Personal stuff is usually shorter and worse quality. I go above and beyond with requests because I want people to enjoy them. But that does make me get burned out quicker.)

The Amazing Digital Circus analysis that none of you wanted, part 2

Jax is the best character so far. I was originally only here for Caine, since I watched Alex Rochon all the way back when he was the Autarch of Flame in the good ol' days of youtube Top 10 channels, but every line Jax has makes me grin.

You go Kinger. Never stop being you.

I feel like that croc doing poses is a reference to something, but if it is I don't get it

Ok, why tf did they have Jax's head stay in a static position while everything else was jostling around? Is he like a chicken?

Okay, the glitches are gonna be a thing. Neat.

This is the last comparison I ever expected to be making, but the vibe I'm getting from the "computerized creation seeing its own world for what it is" thing they seem to be doing with the croc reminds me of Tad Williams's Otherland. You probably know it as the MMO with zero players that Josh Strife Hayes played through, but it's a damn good read and surprisingly relevant to ADC given the potential similarity with emerging digital consciousnesses.

"I can't even remember her face. Did she ever have a face?" And now we're going straight into the one truly terrifying ending to the Stanley Parable. I actually like the fast pace here-there's obviously gonna be other adventures, and this is laying the groundwork for how the Amazing Digital World(name not final) works, but how it really works and not some facade that'd get shattered halfway through the season.

Damn, I care way more about this literal nameless npc than I expected to. The first thing he does when he realizes the scale of what's going on is demand the truth of who he is. With how horrifying the truth has been so far, that takes guts.

I now see where they're going with Jax. He treats everything like a game likely as a means of coping and staying mentally stable enough to avoid abstraction, so he's going to have an active interest in not believing Pomni when she tries to tell everyone that these are sentient beings and not just npcs. He'll need her to be wrong to avoid a massive amount of retroactive guilt, so that's what he'll believe.

Ok, but why teapots? Is that an Alice reference?

Yay, they killed the monster! They accomplished something actually beneficial instead of the pointless murder they were sent for!

...I should really wait to see whether characters are dead before thinking they are.

And there go all the "Caine is trying to help them escape" theories. He knows they're sentient-he just doesn't care. There is no way he's missed it with that kind of reaction.

Yeah, so that was...fuckin' dark. And with a disturbingly realistic reaction from Pomni too. Tl:dr-Caine is evil. Do not trust Caine. And also Zooble was there I think.

i don’t really know much of anything about the amazing digital circus but HELLO PRETTY BIRD LADY!! as for questions, who all out of the show’s cast do you think she’d be closest with? also feel free to use this to drop any random fun facts about her if you have any 👀 - mothysfluff

SHE REALLY IS A PRETTY BIRD LADY! She’s inspired by a phoenix & a scarlet macaw, & she’s an acrobat & aerial silk artist for the circus. But tadc is really good & there’s a lot to theorize about! & the animation is very vibrant & fluid! There’s only 2 episodes, so it’s not much to catch up on if you’re interested!

This got a tad bit long, so most is going under the cut

Macawla is so nervous at first, so she’s much more accepting of her fellow girlies. It’s what she’s used to, it feels familiar to her. She’s fine with Kinger, but his nervous energy only sets her on edge even more than she already is. I feel like Ragatha & Gangle are her favorites to be around because she gets along best with Ragatha, & she feels sorry that Gangle’s comedy mask always breaks & she wants to be able to cheer her up. Plus her bird brain saw her & was like oooo petty ribbon? Pretty ribbon for me to play with? Gangle is more than a little intimidated at first, but she convinces her she means well

I think Zooble is the first one she actually got to know because they’re both the first to dip tf out on an adventure, but they’re antisocial & she was still too jumpy to really form a close connection, but they’re on really good terms. When they’re together they usually will just sit in comfortable silence, or she’ll ask if they wanna watch her routine

Once she becomes accustomed to the digital circus, she starts to be a much more flamboyant & loud personality, & it’s a bit overwhelming for Pomni. She has nothing against the harpy, but she kinda needs to learn to tone it down. They’re both nice to each other, but their personalities just kinda clash, & it makes Macawla feel guilty & bad, even tho she doesn’t really know what to do. But she can feel some kind of connection there little does she know Pomni’s irl disappearance was the lead she needed to push her investigation in the right direction & ended with her getting caught at the C&A corp. & put into the digital circus

At first she was sooo shy around Jax cause uwu there’s a guy her age stuck in this hell hole? & then he opened his fucking mouth & she was like oh never mind, you’re literally The Worst. She was fresh meat for bullying, & let’s just say she’s very bully-able. But on the flip side, she is that nice kinda bitchy, like the Heathers or Regina George where she’s just faking it & grinning through her teeth & then gives the sickest burns ever. She does NOT put up with his shit & she teams up with Ragatha to keep him in line

She doesn’t trust Caine as far as she can throw him & is sus of literally everything he does. She entered the digital circus under dubious circumstances, so she really doesn’t trust him & thinks he knows way more than he’s letting on & it constantly trying to catch him in a lie & meanwhile he’s just being his typical weird & wacky self & trying to prove he’s on their side. She doesn’t believe any of it for a second. Unfortunately, she finds him incredibly entertaining
