i love airports. there’s so many stories, so many emotions. it’s like being locked in a box of common humanity.
three tables away is two grandparents hugging their grandsons goodbye, the youngest kid crying.
and then just a few metres to their left is a woman hugging her partner who just came off his flight.
and me and my family, we’re sitting here ready to go away for an incredible experience together.
and in the seat near my mum, there’s a man still in his work clothes, presumably heading home after work.
i just really love airports. i love knowing that we’re all in one place experiencing a thousand different wonderful, terrible things. i really value that.
