Finally, I caught up with @tvaccaro winx redesign. I'm so sorry it took me months, but I told myself I'd finish watching season 6 first. And since it's late, I did some very quick doodles.
Man, you reminded me of my crush on Darkar. I literally fucking forgot until I saw him in the rewrite I'm crying.
Anyway, above is a Galatea Enchantix (I actually designed it I just need to finish it)

Since we’ve just been fed Valtor lore (thank you very much btw) can you feed us some Darkar and Ancient Coven lore pls? 🥺💙
Darkar’s got the same 2-page spread Valtor did (just in the Enciclomagia 1) and so far I’ve found less on the Ancient Witches, though I could be missing the pages. Here’s what I can offer though!
Saying Darkar was never human, which was always a RAI staple but not a 4Kids one (in 4Kids the power of the Shadow Phoenix overtakes people who wander into Shadowhaunt, according to Faragonda).
Darkar apparently has clairvoyant abilities and can see the future in his cloak? I’ve never heard of this? I could have used this in fics?
And the Ancient Witches were apparently defeated by this guy at one point? I need to translate more about him in other sections of the book.

Lord Darkar, The Shadow Phoenix
When the Magic Dimension was created, scholars believe that it mirrored another dimension called Achlys. It is thought that because that dimension was dying out, with magical cores of both planets and people imploding and dying, the Great Dragon created a new dimension for magic to thrive – the Magic Dimension.
Lord Darkar was once a King, or a high standing noble, in Achlys. He had extreme power over shadows and darkness, however, he was loyal and compassionate to those around him. However, as his kingdom was dying and his wife’s magic beginning to kill her, he made a deal with the Moirai (the ancient deities of Fate) that would allow him to save his dying wife. In this exchange, he had to give up his mortal body in order for him to absorb magical energy. When he tried to absorb his wife’s magical core, it ultimately destabilised and killed her, and Darker was unable to heal her injuries.
His wife’s death is what saw his descent into madness and what gained him his reputation for being the Prince of Darkness and the opposite to the Great Dragon. In order to bring back his wife, Darkar tried absorbing as many magical cores as he could in Achlys to try and bring his wife back from the dead. His rampage, along with the destabilisation of Achlys saw the complete genocide of the Dimension, with only Darkar left. Once he was the only living sole in Achlys, he opened a portal to the magical dimension, believing the Great Dragon’s Flame would be able to revive his wife – but this effort put him in stasis until the Dragon Flame’s instability in Bloom awakened him.
Darkar is unable to feel anything but negative emotions, and thrives on the hatred and vulnerability of others. While his powers are based on shadow magic, he also has strong transformative abilities such as being able to transform himself into the Phoenix and occasionally other people. He is also able to create “shadow monsters” from those whose magical core he has absorbed. Further he is able to influence others greatly, when they let him into their mind. Darker is well versed in magical rituals and rights, often using these to enhance his magic.
Darkar’s connection to Achlys and his deal with the Moirai elevated him to a higher-level transformation – essentially making him indestructible. The Moirai, through their ritual made him the deity of Pure Darkness, in order to bring balance to the Pure Light that the Great Dragon bought. Darkar despises that he cannot die and be with his wife, and because of this he will bring destruction to everything until he can bring her back.

Phoenix was the first one and she didn't realize that it would need a physical body making the Phoenix a parasitic organism that needs a host to survive, and Valtor was very intentional made without a soul in response to Phoenix doing whatever the fuck it wanted most of the time

I just realized - the villains in the show are showing up in a really weird order (only speaking of seasons 1-3 and Secret of the Lost Kingdom).
In my mind it would make more sense if season 2 was for Valtor - maybe he comes out of hinding after 16 years when he heard the Power of the Dragon Flame is back. He has been sent by his creators (the Ancestral Witches) to gather power in order to free them from their imprisionment and bring the Shadow Phoenix back to former power.
He would also be the one turning Bloom into Dark Bloom in order to get a hold of her powers.
Of course he would have gotten Icy and Stormy out of Light Rock Monetary (Darcy refused, wanted to stay and he respected that). He would have given them a piece of the Shadow Flame in order to boost their powers and created the Gloom. (In my mind the Ancestral Witches created him with a spark of the Dragon Flame and a spark of the Shadow Flames).
Everyrhing else would play out similar to season 2. Valtor would just be the one in Darkars Place. And i guess the Pixies wouldn't play as big of a part in the beginning.
Season 3 would then be about the Ancestral Witches and Icy who is the only one of the Trix left, since Stormy stayed in Omega whilest Icy followed the calling of Belladonna and chose to fight on their side. And she gets really mad. In the prozess of gaining enaugh Power she's tapping into Dark Magic and gains Disenchantment (through killing someone).
The Winx Girls would still earn Enchantix and I guess Icy would have to do the main things Valtor does in the show - giving others (mainly Cassandra and Diaspro) what they want in order to help the ancestral Witches get out of their prison.
The Winx (minus Bloom, because her Enchantix is incomplete) get the Water Stars (also Bloom has to stay away from them because they could destroy her power). The Witches get out of their imprisionment. Dark Bloom has a little comeback to because the incomplete Enchantix makes everything weird.
In the end Icy would be defeated in a final fight á la Agni Kai and the Spirits of the Ancestral Witches would get set to rest for good. But! they were able to Reawaken the Shadow Phoenix.
So he would be the last villain for the Winx in my Version of Secret of the Lost Kingdom.
I know this is far from beeing a full-fledged plan - it's just a late night thought i had. It would make so much more sense to me like that because Darkar is the literal Darkness. He should be the big end boss.
I will think more about this and might use it for my AU.

So as you already saw on my Winx Sirenix redesigns and what I mentioned in another post: I wanted to share more about my Winx Club Sona.
However, her powers are linked to a change that I made in this Universe so I think it's better to first explain about the changes I made before blabbering about my Sona.
Winx Club Sona AU/Universe Changes
The first Change starts with the Great dragon.
I always thought it was weird how one dragon could be the origin of everything.
It just didn't make any sense to me how one element (aka fire) could create everything, and then the power opposite in season 2 was introduced, and then the water stars. It got confusing so let me tell you my idea in Form of a Legend.
I will make another post, kinda summarizing the main ideas and how everything works, so have fun!
Spoiler, it's long
Legend of the Four dragons
Before creation of the dimensions, there were four dragons:
the Fire Dragon,
the Earth Drake,
the Water Leviathan,
and the Sky Wyvern.
All four dragons combined their powers to create the Magic dimension, bringing magic and light into the world.
Earth created the environment, mountains and hills, decorating the world with flora.
Water brought the oceans, rivers and lakes into the world, making sure that both Earth and Sky can provide.
Sky took the water and created weather, freely working on its own in the air and atmosphere that she brought to life.
Fire brought light into the world, working together with the Sky to create day and night, bringing warmth into the dimensions.
By combining their magic together, they created the first fairy, born from pure light. Alongside the dragons fairy looked out for other creatures with the ability to harness magic. Together, they thought them about the magic the dragons provided:
Water, earth, fire, sky and light magic.
As time passed by, the Fire dragon surprised the people with a part of its Flame, giving them everlasting strength and warmth. The people across all universes started to worship the Fire dragon more due to the gift, giving him the name "the Great Dragon". A shadow of envy reached the other dragons, trying to poison their minds, especially working well with the Sky Wyvern,
How come only he got recognized?
All dragons worked together to create the universes.
Why only him?
Just because he gave them a part of its power?
These whispers drove the wyvern mad. The shadows chuckled as the Sky wyvern confronted the great dragon, but he denied all of it, saying that all people loved them equally.
But the wyvern didn't believe him.
Blinded by her anger, the darkness that was created alongside the dragons and their magic took the opportunity to consume the wyvern, working alongside with the the source of all dark magic:
The ancestral witches
With the wyvern's help, they stole a part of the dragon flame and created the shadow phoenix, ordering it to defeat the dragon.
But their plan failed.
The other dragon's power combined again and drove away the dark forces in the deep underground where it stayed hidden, waiting for the right moment to strike.
The other dragons soon found out about the cooperation and decided to punish them all. As the ancestral witches abandoned the sky wyvern, leaving her there to fend for herself, her corrupted heart burned with hatred and rage and started attacking them all. Due to her instability, the other three were forced to seal her away, taking away her powers and breaking them into shards, hiding them all over the magic dimensions.
The three dragons managed to seal away the weakened Sky Wyvern, trapping her in the Crystal of Power. Before her spirit was trapped in the crystal, she made an oath to break free from her prison, take back her power and bring calamity to both light and darkness.
After that incident, the dragons became hostile against each other, fearing that one of them would turn evil. The dragons split ways and kept to themselves, thinking it was the best thing to do.
As years passed, the dragons turned old and weak, realizing that they fulfilled their destiny. They decided to rest for eternity and each chose their resting place and a parting gift.
Before the Earth drake's death, she gifted the land of Linphea everlasting spring, creating the Black Willow and the tree of Life. She chose her resting place on an island far away, using her own body to create a mountain. Rumor says that if you find the island, you can still see the drake's silhouette as the base of the mountain.
The Water Leviathan chose the infinity ocean as his resting place. Before he left, he created the Water stars and gifted them to the land of Andros to protect them from any evil source. As he passed away, the Water stars and Dragon Flame's powers crashed against each other and were forced to be sealed away in a different universe to avoid any more chaos.
The Fire dragon was the last to go and choose a Keeper for the Dragon flame, giving them the ability to harness its power and to protect their people from any harm that might come in the future. As he closed his eyes on his Resting place being Domino, he could leave this world in peace, as he knew that everyone would be save forever.

I love Dark Bloom loads but I just wanna say, Dark Bloom under the direct control of Darkar definitely should’ve at least attacked someone and maybe even talked about how she serves Darkar like she did in Episode 19
Like imagine when the Trix are talking about how they’ll get rid of Bloom once Darkar gets the Ultimate Power, Dark Bloom overhears and later when they arrive demanding to know that Darkar surely wouldn’t abandon them, she puts the Codex down or makes it float and moves behind the Trix and as they glare at her trying to ascertain what she’s doing, she scolds them for demanding something out of Lord Darkar before attacking the Trix causing them to fall to the floor and when Icy starts mustering her remaining strength to hit Bloom back for that attack, Darkar swoops in to send them away with his portal. She gives a wicked smile to Darkar before they continue on with preparing the Codex
This would be even better when Stella and Aisha arrive and after being attacked by the two, Dark Bloom quickly gets up and throws back a fire attack at the two causing them to dodge and recognizing her form as the same one she had when she gave Darkar the Codex piece of Alfea. Dark Bloom is enraged at the two for attacking Lord Darkar and disrupting her while she was performing the ritual to gain the Ultimate Power and scoffs at their cries for her to snap out of Darkar’s spell and recognize them as she continues to throw fireballs at them, declaring the only being she cares about is Lord Darkar before Darkar stops her and orders her to continue chanting while he handles them.
After Stella and Aisha push Darkar away with convergence magic, she’s focusing on the ritual as she was ordered by Darkar to finish it and can sense he’s completely fine and as the two try to get her to wake up from the spell, she smirks as the shadow tar from Darkar comes and gets them on the floor.
When Lockette arrives to try and use a pixie’s kiss to wake her up from the spell, she makes a disgusted look and is the one to attack Lockette to send her away rather than Darkar. By the time the Specialists and other Winx arrive, Bloom is about done with the ritual and is simply stabilizing it.
Mega Trix arrives they attack Bloom as well as they’re pissed she attacked them so she and Darkar fight Mega Trix while the Winx and Specialists question if Bloom having to fight the Trix has interrupted the ritual for the Ultimate Power and bought them time but Techna senses the incredible magic in the area is still present and theorizes that the ritual hasn’t restart just because Bloom stopped chanting. Mega Trix is sent flying into the wall by a combined fire attack from Darkar and Bloom and Bloom moves back into the podium to finally claim the Ultimate Power, ignoring Sky and Stella’s pleas for her to not finish the ritual.
She finishes the ritual and claims the Ultimate Power and all that needs to be done is Darkar claiming the power for himself. Sky just like in canon gets up to help try and wake up Bloom but while getting up he’s faced with Bloom’s malicious expression as he reminds her of the goodness in her heart and how the people she loves and care about are around her, right there to save her. She cares about the Winx and him, not Darkar who’s currently using her to become powerful enough to rule the entire realm of magic.
Dark Bloom fighting off the resistance Bloom is putting up, she lowers one of her hands from the Ultimate power and sends a wave of fire at him causing him to be launched backwards and fall to the floor. Darkar gloats that no words from him or the pathetic Winx will break the spell but she breaks free of the spell and the fight continues as canon.
I’m not great at fight scenes so this could 100% be improved but I do seriously believe Dark Bloom should’ve attacked people. Episode 19 Dark Bloom was the better Dark Bloom and deserved to be in the finale lol.
Its not even just pure self-indulgence, it would make the brainwashing plot more exciting if Dark Bloom was flat out attacking them and was more actively on Darkar’s side just to make Sky being able to break her out of the spell even cooler as the spell in Episode 24-26 cast by Darkar felt weaker than the Episode 19 one Fake Avalon put Bloom under since one Bloom is openly hostile, clearly evil and the other is better off described as Puppet Bloom than Dark Bloom lol.
