"we're home. can you hear me? northeast of bassuras. can you get there? i'm...struggling. sorry. can you get here? fuck, i miss you."
i think what got me about this message compared to the others (aside from the immediate aftermath) is the fact orym repeated himself. he knows better. he only has twenty five words. orym gives the information that is needed first, and if there are extra words left, he drops a sentiment. it's one thing for orym to say he's struggling outright. it's another to hear it - in the way his voice cracks, in the way he asks dorian twice if he can come back. he could have never plainly said he was struggling and it would still be heard loud and clear.

Can you really say you love women if they don't turn you into an absolute mess with carnal lust?

happy 3 year anniversary to the time i stumbled upon a jjk yuta x reader fic on wattpad and the author's excuse in the note for making the reader white/japanese was because "[....] the story takes place in japan and i want to keep everything accurate to it's ethnicity" i hope you have the worst writer's block ever because whatever in the world do you mean being accurate when you're writing a fic about people fighting cursed
and for other writers out there, regardless of your fandom; just say you don't want to write for poc characters and get it over with. using excuses like "well it's not (historically) accurate to the [era]" or whatever/wherever your fic is being held in is the lamest excuse i can ever hear in all 18 years of my life. you are writing a FANFIC literally NOTHING you write needs to be accurate to ANYTHING. that excuses is literal bullshit and you should kiss my ass if that's your reasoning for being an asshole about including poc characters
edit cause I realize I phrased that first part badly: what I meant was the idea of the Reader having pale asf skin rather than being inclusive for other readers of different skin color. I know Japanese are POC technically but I meant that stereotype of the pale ass skin that author was referring too. Readers are meant to be inclusive of EVERY reader, not one specific audience. I usually try to make sure my readers as neutral as possible with appearances because it's better for the reader to imagine their own appearance rather than describe it and make it a whole ass oc insert.

One of my VERY favourite ideas is when like. Family is supposed to look out for you, in theory, but they don't. And you just get used to that, you look out for yourself, etc. But then you meet the people who have no obligation to look out for you, but consistently choose to, and they pick up the slack you didn't realize was there. And it's just obvious to them. Of course I'd do that, in what world would I not?

people are so weird about why they don't like gale. like ive never seen anyone who has played through his entire story share actual critiques, it's always people meeting him once and deciding his entire backstory, personality, and motivations right there. "he's full of himself/manipulative/incompetent/etc" i am taking psychic damage from how stupid these takes are. if I poured my heart and soul into writing a character and people gave up on them after their introduction you'd see me on the national news
