the training!! the entire fucking fight with luke practically begging percy to believe that he is his friend and wants him to join him!! the lighting!! just everything!!! you can soo tell luke wanted to shove percy in that portal and take him along no matter what!! (ignoring annabeths appearance cause im still on the fence with that change even if I get why they did it)

i am so going to binge read lukercy fics the entire night just to fill my rabid need for content of them after seeing that AHFJVKDKD I CANT-

Luke not only welcoming Percy to camp but being the one to show him around, constantly by his side. Even watching him sleep from across the cabin.

The look on Percy's face when Luke tells him he's always on Annabeth's side.

Luke breaking the camp rules that two demigods (with different parents) aren't allowed to be alone in the cabins together to give Percy the shoes in his cabin (as opposed to on the hill like in the book).

Percy wanting to take Luke on the quest but being afraid that Luke would prioritize Annabeth over him.

The jealousy and disgust in Luke's voice during the Iris message when he makes the comment about "when did you two become an old married couple" and the look of equal disgust and discomfort from Percy when he says "gross let's move on from that." (paraphrasing but you get the idea)

Luke influencing Percy so much that the very first words of Percy's book ("Look, I didn't want to be a halfblood") are actually a quote from Luke.

The whole training scene.

Sword under the chin is always hot. Percy's making a face like he knows it too.

When Luke goes to sit on that rock beside Percy, he chooses a spot that lets them sit eye-to-eye but also he rocks toward Percy for a second like he's going to go in for a kiss.

Percy mirroring the head tilt that Luke (Charlie?) does.

Luke's voice full of pride when Percy does good.

Luke telling Percy he's small and scary. So fucking cute.

The way we can see via body language what book!Percy has been telling us all along: that every time Percy picks up his sword, he hears Luke's voice in his head telling him what to do.

Percy and Luke almost never take their eyes off each other for the whole secret meeting about Clarisse.

They're meeting in the woods at night. Luke didn't even have to bribe Percy this time, he just trotted after him.

Luke coaxing Percy into talking. (in the books Percy doesn't do a lot of talking out loud and Luke actually does break the ice several times because Percy is just standing there staring like a little weirdo [affectionate].).

Fireworks from beginning to end. Love the red and blue ones especially for that bisexual lighting. It was easily the best lighting in the whole show.

"Easy. I just want to show you." Everyone says that the maia scene was the hottest thing Charlie said as Luke but they're sleeping on this. Those are 'gonna take your virginity' words and his tone of voice? Mmm. Yum.

AND it's about his sword? HIS SWORD?! The most phallic weapon of all? Gods help me.

Just an interesting detail but Luke doesn't actually ever point his sword at Percy until Percy attacks him. It really shows that his plan is to convince Percy to leave with him.

"The gods are my enemy. You....." - Luke searching for what Percy is to him. lol I guess it's supposed to be a dramatic pause for dramatic effect but it really just makes it sound like Luke is debating how exactly to define their relationship.

Both of them have watery tear-filled eyes? Excuse me? Cry babies? Yes please. I told all of you so.

Also Luke is comfortable with turning his back on Percy to draw the runes (?) even though Percy drew his sword and is sweating like a sinner in church.

Luke actually proposing that they run away. Together. Just the two of them.

"We"

Percy is literally swaying on his feet. You can see that he's nervous but he also doesn't take so much as a single step backward. He still wants to be close to Luke!

Luke's determination to bring Percy with him. During their fight he does his best to keep Percy between himself and the portal. He even tosses Percy towards it a couple of times. Luke wants Percy to run away with him voluntarily but you can see as the fight goes on longer, he decides kidnapping is an option.

Luke is not leaving without his boy.

The skill difference between Percy and Luke. We see this during training too, where Luke is tossing Percy around and basically playing with him (I mean it's serious training but Luke's skill level is so above that it looks like playing). Luke is not seriously fighting Percy. He's trying to herd Percy into that portal.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to -" Because Percy really doesn't want to hurt Luke and he's never like actually hurt someone he cares about.

The way after Annabeth shows up, Luke's eyes flit down to Percy three separate times. You can visibly see him weighing his options. I think he was debating if he could sling Percy over his shoulder and run into the portal faster than Annabeth could catch them.

"I know Luke wasn't trying to kill me." - WOW what a change from the book. I can't believe they had Percy understand that because in the pit scorpion scene, he did not get it. I'm happy about the change but surprised they made it. (makes me wonder if Percy's the one who's loyalty we're supposed to question instead of Annabeth's as the next seasons come up).

Sorry that was long but like. Wow. We won hardcore.

rules are also below for ease since i am pinning this post.

SECTION 1. Writing.

I want to write with everyone! Although I prefer multi-para replies, I enjoy having a variety of threads from one-liners and icons to brief responses and long-form text. I am flexible and reciprocate the energy given to me by my writing partner. I enjoy both serious threads and crack. I only ask that you don’t godmod or dictate how my character acts/feels.

Ask memes are always a good way to break the ice, but I am also open to plotting. That can be done via Tumblr IMs or Discord. Your preference, really. Response speed may vary depending on multiple factors, but please note I don’t intend to ghost anyone. I am an adult with a demanding full-time job and a part-time job so it can be a bit hectic on my end.

In terms of response speed, I may favor my mains or people I’ve interacted with OOC first, as well as plotted threads. These are usually easier for me since I have an idea of how to approach the writing.

SECTION 2. Selectivity.

Although I say I am semi-selective, I tend to follow back most blogs. That said, there are exceptions. For example, one case I might not follow back is if I observe poor dash hygiene. I don’t really want a super clogged dashboard so I tend not to follow people who have a greater ratio of OOC posts compared to IC. Other things I like are cut posts and new threads for asks. The last two are not dealbreakers, though, but I consider this good dash hygiene.

I am crossover-friendly and OC-friendly. However, I likely won’t follow back unless you have a JJK-specific verse or some sort of bio for your muse. I dislike having to fish for information. I am a bit more hesitant to follow back in these cases, but I can overlook that if I see potential for interaction.

SECTION 3. IC Dynamics.

I enjoy exploring different dynamics with different characters. Shipping can be romantic, friendly, filial, etc. I love writing with various muses.

That said, I am highly selective about romantic shipping. It will be done on a case-by-case basis. I will only really write shippy content if there is chemistry between the muses (our portrayals) and prior conversations between us OOC discussing the dynamic. All interactions with muses within my muse’s age range are platonic unless stated otherwise. I will never off-the-bat assume there is romance involved between muses unless we have explicitly had a conversation about it. Although I am 25, there will be absolutely no smut.

In a similar vein, what is said in a thread with another person’s muse does not apply to the canon of our threads unless you have made your muses’ canon clear (i.e. your rules/about cite this connection, you have stated something OOC, etc). If I follow you, assume I have read your rules and bio.

SECTION 4. OOC Conduct.

All I ask for is kindness and understanding. Always assume the best intentions from others and never yuck anyone’s yum. I work a stressful job and I am here for entertainment. Please don’t bring negativity and other exhausting energy into this space. If there is ever a time I do something that bothers you, please bring it to my attention directly. Also, bear in mind that I am not my character and would prefer to keep a clear distinction between what is IC and what is OOC.

This should go without saying, but if you reuse a plot we crafted together or copy anything I, or anyone else, has done, you may get blocked if it is brought to my attention. It really depends on the severity, or if it is a repeat offense.

SECTION 5. DNI/Vague Posts.

Don’t come here with bullshit. Don’t follow me if you do a lot of vague posting. If I see it enough times, I will block. We are adults. If you want to say something without the repercussions of saying it, then do it in private or keep it to yourself. If it is that serious, then go talk to that person directly. Communicate like a mature adult.

If there is someone I interact with who is actually problematic or has actually engaged in problematic behavior, dm me in private.

breaking news: idiot with a fish hits 255 and kills god heres the part where i do a personal review all parts of the arcane river story

dont take these seriously

the adversary as a character 0/10: words dont describe how bad he is "...Oh!" "...Ah!" shut up youre an insult to every maplestory class

lost temple keeper + vanishing journey: 7/10

i did this in 2017 but most of the content is fetch quests and an introduction to completely new things you have no attachment to maybe i should give it a little more credit as the kao twist being revealed for the first time was kinda cool and the talk amongst the fandom

reverse city: 7/10 apparently i did this in 2021? i guess that makes sense because this didnt exist in 2017 why is earth real and called friends world still not invested in the story by this point but i liked t-boy

chu chu island: 6/10 this is when i came back so i actually think this story is quite fun and i liked the characters involved but in the grand scheme of things, its not good

feels like filler, wasnt truly important until yum yum was added YEARS LATER, feels like a waste of 5 levels when i still feel like you should fight the black mage at 250 instead of 255

yum yum island: 9/10 cooooooooool cooooooooooooooooooool has the same fun and and loveable whimsy of chu chu but this time it sets up something sinister and adds to the plot

the afrien fusion, the kaling reveal, chefs kiss

lachelein + crack of subconscious: 8/10 honestly i wasnt very invested in this lucid just makes this interesting

plus im a shade so i get extra dialogue

also this town name sucks gms hates non-english words

arcana: 7/10

rock spirits and i love the spirit of harmony was this just setup for tana

morass: 10/10

alright we getting into PLOT jean deserved better, tana deserved better, arkarium deserved what he got, shey deserved better, kritias deserved better

the flying fish TALKS and the moment where he takes the form of jean and shows himself to tana is so AMAZING i love this TRAGIC STORY

the maps are awful though especially if youre low on arcane force which i was

esfera: 8/10

why dont i actually remember much of what happened here i guess the information of tana has been so stuck in my head it doesnt feel like it was presented as new information to me anymore lots of nice exclusive dialogue here though and we get to meet ollie sellas: 11/10 i will cry right here right now this is such a good story with good atmosphere and pacing i CARE for both ollie and shubert greatly

moonbridge: 8/10

this is when the pacing and structure becomes spotty because it was part of the event i chose not to participate in which means i didnt get the full experience theres just so much dread in this questline so many losses from not being ready to fight the black mage the pacing towards the second half is bad though the cutoff is so strange because it feels like you have another 30 minutes to go when really you have 5 labyrinth of suffering: 8/10

hillas beats the shit out of your morale for an hour the dread continues and continues it shall tons of exclusive dialogue, always a favorite limina: 5/10 i feel like im supposed to feel more i feel like im supposed to do more all of the bosses are very weak which is very unsatisfying, orchid is tsundere and says the adversary hasnt lost anything which ranges from maybe true to absurdly false depending on who you are the claudine vs cygnus scene is legitimately pointless, nothing can describe in words how pointless it truly is the flying fish DIES and then suddenly you have to fight the black mage the black mage whos phases last 4 seconds in story mode i only ever got hit once

the adversary dying did make me actually sad though because everyone else thinks youre truly dead the flying fish comes back (yay) and then its revealed NO ONE DIES? and most of the soldiers get UNSNAPPED? the story finishes with orchid being tsundere again and your idiot of a character sitting on the flying fish leaving the scene

i feel like im in a cartoon

kaos memory: 8/10 a tragedy of a character destined to die kao deserved better shade aftermath: 10/10 thank god he gained a reason to live conclusion: why did i even type this out im just ready to move on to the grandis story

Tankman With A (Pre)Diabetic S/O

[ DISCLAIMER NOTE ;

this was originally planned to help me cope with my pre-diabetes, but i’m hoping this touches someone else. i’m currently in the FNF fandom so expect a ton of fnf content from me.

the basic overview is, reader is upset because they’ve learned they have pre-diabetes. im very thin and have it, so i originally wrote it with that intent, but the reader can be any size, and they’re struggling with their new diet and careless people, so captain helps. enjoy! theres one mention of my ethnicity, if it doesn’t apply to you, ignore it! i’m sorry but i also hope whoever may be reading enjoys this! ]

When John learns that his s/o is pre-diabetic, full parental figure comes on. He has an instant instinct to shape up his s/o and make them healthy.

John isn’t very familiar when it comes to diabetes, since him and his men mostly eat meat and vegetables, being in war and all— However he is mostly aware of what they can and cannot eat, but just for good measure, he does his research, and asks Steve, because Steve somehow seems to know everything…

His s/o also ran into the issue of, people still giving them carbs because ‘pre-diabetes’ isn’t seen as bad as actual diabetes. They always feel pressured to eat the food since those people went out of their way to get it for them, so they consume what they can before nearly throwing it up later since to many carbs make them sick.

His s/o expresses to him how upset they are since carbs was their whole life, due to their ethnicity. This saddens him to hear, and although he isn’t the best cook, he tries to make you dishes that are good for you and that you’ll also enjoy.

John feeds you healthy or low carb snacks, such as fruit or granola bars, or cheese sticks because those are yum! He lets you have a cup of coffee every morning with artificial sweetener since coffee is safer that way.

But, diabetes also means new cooking experience! You’ve kept yourself occupied in the kitchen all the time coming up with low carb desserts and meals to eat, so it’s almost like eating the real thing!

And of course, he doesn’t completely take away carbs from you, he feeds you bread and pasta every now and then, sometimes together if you’ve been doing very excellent recently.

John tries to reassure his s/o that pre-diabetes is reversible, so after a while of strict dieting, they can return to how they normally eat, but still maintain their moderation.

Once your blood sugar falls and is back in perfect health, John celebrates with you by letting you eat red velvet cupcakes instead of a red velvet cake, and its way cuter because you can feed each other cupcakes and watch icing get smeared on each others lips.

New jokes. Will say shit like “what if my cum gave you insulin” or “what if my dick had carbs”.

Your Stand clinks noisily against the floor as you stand over Narancia. Though you were smiling, looking at him smugly as your victory lay within your grasp, he couldn’t help but think that there was some deep, unspoken loneliness in your eyes.

Narancia had been suspicious when he’d caught sight of you in the streets but he couldn’t help but reach out to you. Guilt had driven him to be reckless. For the sake of his teammate who they had been forced to abandon, he couldn’t bear to leave you be the second time around. Even when you’d claimed not to know him, even when you’d raised your hand against him, even though now you were nothing but a traitor, even though he should have tried his damnedest to kill you, he couldn’t help but ask.

“Why are you doing this?”

The unspoken memories of the easy laughter in the restaurant, of camaraderie shared between thieves, didn’t you remember all that? How could you come at him with such a palpable intent to kill?

He was hoping to jog your memory of kinder times, it was just his luck that you ended up thinking of another memory entirely. Still, it manages to get you to stop in your tracks for a brief moment. Your eyes struggle to focus on him as memories of a dark room smelling vaguely of your blood had forced its way back into your mind.

You’d asked Risotto that same question as well. But you’d never gotten a response from him. He’d only given you a deep kiss, as if that would have offered you any sort of comfort when he left you to bleed out in his room as punishment for defying him.

Risotto had a morbid satisfaction with making you bleed. He’d drained so much blood from you, enough to leave you woozy and pliant to his demands but never so much as to seriously harm you. With the blood he stole from you he made the ring that was sitting on your ring finger now and the choker that was wrapped around your neck. With each drop of blood that was taken from you, you felt as if little parts of yourself were being taken from you. As if you were being rewritten, you’d hated it so much. You’d go as far as to beg him to stop it but he was a brick wall which your pleas fell deaf upon.

Begging and begging, constantly being denied, until finally you learned that there was nothing you could do but become servile and obedient. Because maybe then he would stop. Because he was always so kind with you afterwards, he would dress your wounds so kindly, he would touch you so gently. His love was so passionate and all-consuming, you’d never felt a love like that before.

Hey, when did you begin to seek his affections? When did obeying him stop becoming a chore?

When did his torture start feeling like love?

“I’m sorry, alright!” Narancia yelled out suddenly, dragging you out of your stupor. “I’m sorry we couldn’t save you!”

“Save me?” Your hold on your stand had softened, the chain and dagger dissipating before it hit the ground. “That’s right, I begged to be saved. I prayed for salvation and mercy.”

Your knees shook, buckling as you fell to the floor. Your memories surging and sweeping through the broken fragments of your mind. Nights crying out for help, begging him to bring an end to you. Holding on the the faint wish of the silhouette of a man in white who once reached out a hand to help you.

“But… no one came,” your voice cracked as you spoke, “no one came for me, no one saved me. I was left behind, I was all alone… All I had was…him.”

Your eyes flashed murderously at Narancia, before he can even think, you tackle him to the ground. Your Stand wrapping around his neck, cutting off his breath.

“Ah, damn that was smart of you,” you chuckled sardonically, “and I thought Fugo was the smart one.”

Your hands pulled the chain of your Stand tighter, choking him even more.

“Hey, how dare you make me think of something unpleasant,” you hissed. “You fuckers left me for dead, didn’t you?”

Narancia shook his head desperately, his face was already turning purple.

“You guys pumped my head full of your poison and lies. I trusted you, I believed in you guys.”

He tries to claw at you, tries to buck you off him but he can’t. It was almost pitiful, that boy was fighting a losing battle, and he didn’t even realize it.

“But I should thank you, because you abandoned me, I was able to be with Risotto,” you said with a blissful look in your eye. “And he’s given me so much love, so much more than you pathetic lot could ever give.”

Ah, this hateful thing brought back so many memories you never thought you’d remember. You needed to get rid of it. You had to get rid of it.

You had to get rid of him.

“Don’t be afraid,” you cooed, smiling as you stand over your former teammate’s body, your dagger raised. “I’ll make sure to give you plenty of love as well.”

Narancia lies still in the dark alley. His corpse horribly mutilated, you doubt the others will even be able to recognize him. But you made sure to leave his little bandana intact. Already you shivered with delight as you wondered what expressions they would wear, how their faces would twist with despair.

You should be happy. There was one less insect in the way of your love.

So why, why were you crying?

“Do you hate me for making you kill your old friends,” he asks you as he holds you in bed that night. Your hair still damp from the shower he’d given you after you came home limping and bloody.

“Dear, you could rip my heart from my chest, and I’d still adore you,” you told him with a content smile on your lips before you leaned in to demand a hungry kiss from his lips.

That’s right, no matter how bloodied you were, no matter how heavy your sins were. Even if you were burning in hell, as long as he was right beside you…

Second Doctor

I finished the second doctor awhile ago and i fucking adored him. he was just a silly old man and he cared about his friends so much ;w; i thought it was rly sweet that he took in victoria but also like my man this fuckin babey child lost everything and ur putting her into terrifying and dangerous situations like SIR. i lov LOVED the rly sweet moments she and the doctor had tho, specifically the one in the tomb of the cybermen where theyre taking turns sleeping. and when she left, jamie was so devastated he cares he much. hes a huge women protector and if theres no women around to protect he only has a half hour til his brain explodes. LOVE THIS MAN. HES A FUCKING GOOFBALL. hes brave, headstrong, and denser than a brick and with a heart of pure gold. and zoe. zoe my fucking bb grill. first of all i absolutely love it when she tears ppl into shreds with her huge brain. and like,,, i know it rly wasnt addressed again but i rly felt with her struggle of being so logical and computer like that ppl would give her a hard time about not being emotional (OH THE IRONY) and i wished that was addressed more? i like how her and the doctor are on the same like intellectual wavelength and he and jamie will tease her about it a lil like ‘oh did u calculate that too’ and she’ll be like yeah i fucking did what did u do huh huh. she was the best and these three were my fav team in a long time. all of their departures made me so sad but im also surprised it wasnt sadder? jamie and zoe being forced back where they were when the doctor picked them up and they dont wanna go!!!!! but when theyre told they have to theyre like aw :( alright like NO MAKE A STINK ABOUT IT!!!! especially zoe!!!! shes just going back to ppl who wouldnt rly listen to her or take her seriously as a person and i think she shouldve been more upset honestly!!!!! i loved it tho when the doctor and the other time lords were watching jamie when he got back to his time and he immediately sees a redcoat and is like ‘oh ill get this bastard’ and chases after him with a knife while the doctor just smiles and laughs cUZ THATS HIS BEST FUCKING FRIEND. GUHHUGHG. i love how throughout the doctors life he still loves jamie and thinks of him as one of his best friends ever. the second doctor is definitely somewhere in the top for me out of all the doctors ive seen. ill prob listen and read a bunch of his short trips and other stories thru big finish with him

Third Doctor

uh oh grumpy!!!! grumpy guy!!!! grumpy guy thats pissed off at his ppl for stranding him on earth!! but ofc hes still got some silliness in him, i dont think he could survive without it. i thought this was a fun setup for the doctor cuz it rly challenges him. he cant go where he pleases, hes stuck using very limited or primitive technology, hes sent along or dragged places when things get fucky and has to sort them out, has to deal with soldiers, other military ppl, ppl of authority that 90% of the time doesnt listen to him, and he fucking hates it. and he hates it even more when the timelords start using him and make him deal with their problems. hes trying so hard to get his life back to normal. he loves earth but more as a playground then as a place to live. i think liz kept him sane in the beginning which is why he was so disappointed when she left, which like me too king there wasnt enough of her she was awesome. and jo :3. i lov her. shes not the brightest but her heart is in the right place. i fucking loved when the doctor was complaining to the brig how he couldnt just hav anyone as an assistant and needed a scientist and the brig just goes,,,, yeah i can get you a different assistant,,,, if you tell jo that youre letting her go. and of course he wouldnt. im not sure if he could in any of his regenerations. hes a grump but still a softie!!!! DR: “Jo i just wanted to tell you-” JO: OwO DR: “....that i look forward to working with you” YEA THATS RIGHT. i lov that shes sneaky and honestly resourceful AND I WISH THE DOCTOR WOULDNT BE SO MEAN TO HER!!! BE NICE TO HER OLD MAN!!! anyway the master is also here and hes so saturday morning cartoon villain and its so fun. i love how the master and the doctor interact with each other like,,, i can smell it,,, homosexual in nature but theyre being veeeeerryy professional about it. almost done with season 9

Eighth Doctor

i cannot accurately describe my love and joy for the eighth in words. besides words like hes my blorbo,,, the scrungkly if you will. i LOVE HIM!!!!!! s o much!!!! hes kind, real goofy, genuine, full of compassion, sarcastic, theatrical, and soooooo fucked up :). ive listened to all of charleys and lucies era including their further adventures (my girls my fucking beloveds), the stories with mary shelley, just started dark eyes last night, and im on the 17th book in the edas. i adore charley and want to listen/read everything there is with her in it, which ive done a lot of already, just not her stories with 6 yet. i wanted to watch 6 in classic who first but since im not even done with the third doctor yet ITLL BE AWHILE. and lucie BABEY. i think the best dr/companion relationship is when theyre just best friends. just two fuckin goofballs that enjoy being around each other. lucie loved the doctor so much cuz they had so much fun together and she was rly good at getting shit done. cuz its lucie miller ofc. ANDANDNAND WHEN FUCKING SUSAN CAME BACK i loved hers and the doctors reunion u could hear how happy both of them were just to see each other again U COULD HEAR THE SMILES and it KILLED ME. my favs of the eda books so far are vampire science, genocide, alien bodies, kursaal, seeing i, and the scarlet empress. and i lov sam so much. starts off as a tough butch teenager that wants to do good for the world. i think its very cute that she tries to be all cool and nonchalant when with the doctor cuz thats soooo teenager behavior. at first i refused to acknowledge her crush on the doctor (i wanted it to be familial cuz thats what it felt like!!!) but i like how she explored her thoughts with that. i mean she was way in over her head by starting from the ground up on a different planet in her far future just so she woudlnt have to face the doctor cuz she was so embarrassed. #girl i must say. now shes over it i think? in the scarlet empress she said that she loved him to whatever that thing was in that river but it wasnt clear to me if it was romantic or if she was just saying that they were close (im also stupid so). hope its not romantic, ive never rly been a fan of romance (ex ive never rly cared much for tenrose). ive been saying this from the start give this old man a child to care for (not like a beby child like a teenager/young adult). ANYWAY im very excited to continue dark eyes, i lov molly very much so far, and the rest of the books. and a bunch of other audios with the 8th dr like short trips and specials.

Tenth Doctor

i listened to the first audio from dalek universe 1 and uh wow. its good!!! ill be honest i dont remember some of it cuz i was rly high and tired listening to it but it was still alot of fun. i was worried i had to know who anya was before starting but luckily that wasnt the case. its funny going back to the tenth doctor cuz he was my top favorite for the longest time so im just like,, ‘whos my fav little pinstriped hellion :3 U ARE U FREAK!!!!’ i dont hav much of an opinion yet since ive only listened to one story but so far its fun !! and will def listen to more.

i havent touched nuwho since i finished the 12fth drs run cuz i def needed a lil fictional grieving time. im a bit hesitant on watching the 13th dr cuz ive heard soooo many differing opinions about her stories and how shes written. i also know various spoilers which doesnt rly matter cuz i dont hav most of the context that goes with it. im also worried im not gonna like yaz much. i think overall im gonna like it cuz its doctor who and its fun and i enjoy things easily. i just dont know when im going to start it. cuz man theres so much. so much to consume. i also rly wanna get into the gaillfrey series but i havent seen any of romana or leela in the show cuz im not there yet. i prob dont have to to start it but whatev.

My First Road Trip

Wednesday Night 3/2 pm 425 Miles

This part of the trip was not new to me. As I crossed over Ohio to West Virginia exits signs and stores were all familiar. Once I passed Charleston however the sense of adventure heightened. After class I had thrown some gear in the car along with dog food for my year old mix breed Luna. I had made vague plans for a road trip using ARCgis. Finding State Parks, forests and national parks near major highways. I had a rough game plan Head to Hilton Head Island then off to Tenn and the Smokies where I would follow the Appalachian Mountains to return to Ohio. Driving in the dark it was hard to notice differences from State. I tried to stop at each new states visitor center and get a road map along with some local info. Virginia's was by far the nicest open late full of maps and info along with huge clean bathrooms. Driving became rhythmic and I progressed into South Carolina as I focused on the road I let my mind wander. I didn't have a particular destination but I did want to reach South Carolina. After what seemed to be hours I pulled into a Rest Stop across the border.

Thursday Morning 3/3 am 270 Miles total: 695

I awoke in my newly converted camper. The Crv makes a perfect bed for someone who is 5'4” I am 5'11”. On my left was a tour bus I wonder what they thought as I appeared from the trunk from under the cargo covers. Breakfast consisted of a ham sandwich YUM! After Luna and I answered mother natures calls it was back on the road. I was still about three hours out from Hilton head. The driving was better with marsh along the road ways. Following a scenic route I was detoured to a main highway traffic was a nightmare with to many intersections and bumper and bumper traffic. After a frustrating drive I arrived at a parking lot for Coligny Beach.

Coligny Beach 3/3 am

Walking over blue mats the use of which I would find out later I had arrived. Sunshine sand and salt water I was content. Wooooossshhh! What seemed only 300 yards above the beach screamed what I would say was a F-150 Fighter jet. Never had any plane passed so close over head. Wanting to jump up and down for no reason I wheeled around as I heard the hum of other fighters but they did not pass as spectacularly over the beach as the first I did mange to get a video of those.

The Bike Ride 3/3 am/pm

About to leave for a unknown destination I spied bike rentals pulling into the BP on Lagoon Rd not realizing Bicycle Billy's Bike Rentals How Appropriate! With Luna running along I had to stop almost immediately … at Rollers wine and spirits Coligny Plaza. How Convenient! Necessary cold beverages in basket I headed out again. Riding was great little path ways over marsh areas with warning sings DO NOT FEED ALIGATORS What? I did not see any alligators. Stopping at Rose Compass Park I found refreshment in my basket. I also took time to appreciate the nearby trees. Continuing my ride I enjoyed the refreshment. On 278 I enjoyed the slow pace of the ride I was able to take everything in. Another stop at Reiley's Wines and Spirits. Now the basket is really full. I made it to the Palmetto Dunes which was a resort not a hilly sandy beach. Stopping at Woof Gang Bakery I got some treats for my four legged companions well as some great advice for where to go from the store owner. Crossing to the other side of 278 I headed back the way I had came stopping at some benches in front of a mcdonalds for some more RnR. I made it back to Rose Park Before retracing my steps to the roundabout. Now how to get around the around about. I crossed to road and made it now I was in the round about. Now I was trapped in the roundabout. I did not make eye contact with any drivers both out of shame and humor. I was stuck. Finally I made it to another less active section was able to cross to another island then finally over to the other side. Finally stopping at a abandoned drive thru lot with only the foundation remaining I snapped a few pictures of Luna and the setting sun.

Skull Creek Boathouse 3/3 pm

Time for dinner. I seated my self and Luna at a table on the patio. Should have waited to be seated? I got a local IPA which I did not care for. The seafood chowder was amazing my Tuna burger with pineapple was not. I wanted to try and make it to Jarvis Creek Park I had a vision of me shining my maglite onto the eyes of swimming alligators but alas the park was closed. Another night in my converted CRV camper now I was getting the hang of making it a shelter.

Jarvis Creek Park 3/4 am

Cormorants! I think. Back to the car to get my Peterson field guide and yes Cormorants! Walking along the pond I was reminded of a similar park layout in Indiana. I stopped to try and identify some birds Wood Storks and Great Blue Hearing when something caught my eye. AN ALIGATOR! Awesome! Swimming almost towards me it stopped before the bank and waited. Taking pictures with my flip phone and binoculars I watched in fascination as a Wood Stork walked towards the rest stop of the alligator. Would the alligator react as it neared I wondered however it did not have time because the stork scared another creature which I had previously not known was there. A long tailed weasel from what I saw started leaping and bounding then jumped into the water it swam a circle and came back to shore now right by the alligator. With lighting speed the alligator snapped lashed its tail and disappeared under the water OH SHIT! But it had missed because feet away reappeared both parties neither looking worse for the wear. The weasel returned to land to have a awkward argument with the stork maybe it blamed him for its close call there was much leaping and twisting from the weasel and indignant wing flapping from the stork but they soon went there separate ways. Nature!

Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge 176 Miles total: 871 3/4pm

I stopped at the first visitor information tried to call to get a permit to camp no chance Driving along I saw a Barred Owl. Pulling into Okefenokee adventures I found out I was 20 mins late for the sunset tour damn But I was able to make it to the wildlife drive. I hurried over a board walk trying to make it to the overlook tower but I did not have enough time the loop closed at seven and I could see no structure in the distance turning around I made it back to the parkway and stopped in a pull offinfront of a pond. In the dimming light I got to shine a alligator. I still had a few minutes to burn so from my roof I enjoyed to sounds and sights of the swamp.. and the smell of some trees.

Where Next? 3/4 pm

Should I camp here I wanted to experience some nightlife meet some people Did I just say that looking on the map I decided to go to Tallahassee FL no Jacksonville yes Jacksonville Jacksonville No lets go to Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach 3/4 pm 3/5 am 156 Miles total: 1,027

Bikes Bikes Bikes i came during Bike Week. Lots of big guys on big hogs with loud sounds neon lights and well bikers everywhere. I enjoyed some of the night life then back on the road.

The Longest Drive 3/5 am 543 miles total 1,570

Am I crazy? Well yes but even this idea is nuts for me I am going to the make it to Tenn tonight. And I did. However it was well into the after noon before I made it Do you know what a sign is? Driving on short temper and no sleep I was inside the Nantahala National forest. But no sign to be seen no pull of no information I want to yell sleep then cry and then sleep again on my now teary pillow. Finally with some helpful advice of some local seniors from Duck Town Quack! I was on my way Ahh pull offs info and signs turns out you just had to be on

Ocoee Whitewater Center 3/5 pm

Finally I was able to rest along the rushing water I found a suitable spot with trees the right distance apart to hang my hammock. Overlooks There were many great overlooks I was able to enjoy over looking mountains lakes and valleys

Where to next Part 2 3/5pm 3/6 am

Maryville not pigeon forge no gatlinburg headed that way I arrived at Townsend with more helpful advice from this time bearded locals I headed to the pull off for the Appalachian trail. Packing my pack getting ready I walked the path. NO DOGS ON TRAIL well the sign says the trail is <----- that way so ------> wont be on the trail I made my way up the hill light shining on a fence to a GRAVEYARD Jinkies Id like to say that fear of being discovered so close to the trail was a reason or the no dogs or permit required signs was the reason I didn't camp there I'd like to regardless I drove to a Best Western Parking lot for another night in my now decent camper. What this sign says free breakfast well I cant turn that down if you say so.

The Smokies 3/6 am 135 miles total: 1,705

Entering the park eyes darting from road to nature I made my way along the winding road. Stopping at a camp within the park I got all the info I could ever need from a ranger I placed a call on a pay phone since I had no signal trying to reach my parents it said couldn't accept credit card so I gave up. That would haunt me.

Cade's Cove 3/6 am

Driving along with other visitors eager to see wildlife I drove on deer seen those going on I made it to the first recommended stop for a dog person since they are not allowed on trails but paved roads closed for the winter call this winter come to Ohio

Rich Mountain Road 3/6 am/pm

I walked my way to a great overlook the best all trip I continued up the road to a fallen log that had been cut and mover off the road I counted the rings 45yo back down I watched a red breasted nuthatch create a hole in the wood of a tree AH TREES Parson Branch Road 3/6 pm it started as a Rhododendron forest I hiked and the trees turned to oaks then pines I turned around as the road turned around the mountain side to unknown areas and sights. I returned to the loop and went down a straight road to do the loop over again im glad I did. For I saw a Piliated woodpecker among other animals

The Coyote 3/6 pm

Why are you stopping on the parkway the sign clearly says be courteous pull over. Oh a coyote or is it a bushier tail than a coyote not enough for a fox gray with reddish back it walked along the fence of the road right by our group of cars indifferent to us finally people pulled over I was able to pull ahead where I thought the yot was headed. Sure enough he came my way passing not eve 25 yards away awesome then passing over the road he went off into the forest however the road followed this route to another clearing where I saw two deer burst from the tree line to graze on the grass with one of the two always watching the tree line I was watching In fascination they were watching for survival.

The other coyote 3/6 pm

Pulling into a parking lot for a village and gift shop there was another coyote brazenly walking around. It seemed to be trying to cross but cars were preventing that I stopped near some good ole boys from Virginia and watched out of the cars the yot did not seem to mind it walked paced and sat within 15 yards of us as if we were merely part of the lot. Was this the result of people feeding the animals? Are you Alive? Are you In jail? 3/6 pm Reaching civilization I called my sister to plan a visit on my return home. My parents had assumed the worst when they got a collect call and no word from me. Calling state parks sheriffs and police departments they searched for me I am grateful I had such support and sorry I put them through it but it had not even been twelve hours since the call in question I guess they had been waiting for this day for quite awhile

Mount Rogers National Recreational Area 3/6 pm 3/7 am 264 miles total 1,969

Recreational area that means I can camp for free right? Let me call someone Indy Will know and he will answer my call but he didn't neither of them a few minutes passed and he called me back. I asked the favor can you look up the national recreation area? Answer its closed My answer not for me

Jefferson/ Washington National Forest 3/7 am

I found the suitable pull off between the road and a stream more rhododendron and I setup camp It was a nice site and in the morning even more beautiful

Blue Ridge Parkway 3/7 am/pm 216 miles total 2,185

This map shows a Scenic route along the Appalachian mountains ill take it not knowing it started almost exactly where I was I rode on 81 to Roanoke and entered there. What a road anyone who has a motorcycle of any variety should ride this road I stopped and got more great info from a park worker from west Virginia who had some travel plans of his own. I took a hike to Seneca Falls where I disturbed two love birds in a close embrace their dog met Luna and they were on their way. A idea came over me it had been awhile since I had been able to shower. I climbed over rock and boulder and found the perfect pool. Striping down to nothing I stepped into the mountain cooled water and forced myself to go under. So cold. I returned to the parkway for great pull offs and winding fun to drive roads. Opting out of the Shenandoah Natl Park which my west Virginia tour guide said was the same as the Blue Ridge Parkway only they charged 20 dollars.

Morgan Town Brewing Company 3/7 pm 196 miles total 2,381

I arrived around nine getting directions and cigs from a food stand on the street I headed towards the brewery. They had a special menu the chiefs put together each week listed were Frog legs in a Thai sauce this being the first real food since the tuna burger (beef jerky and trail mix keeps you going just not to the bathroom) I also got a burger. I cannot rave or praise the frog legs enough I might return before the week is done just for another taste the Ipa I had was also delicious.

The Motel 3/7 pm/am 60 miles total 2,441

Twenty minutes from Pittsburgh I stopped at the first and last motel of the trip. Jefferson hills Motel Ah a shower a bed and my purchase from Reiley's. Returning the remote and room key I helped myself to the complimentary honey bun and coffee

The Park 3/8 am

Arriving early in Pitt I went to the nearest park Grandview Park which my gps had a fit finding a route to. Following my gps to closely I entered a park and drove on a road up the hill is it a road no roads dont have stairs on them this is the path so back down and towards the other cars parked where this old guy looks at me and wags his finger did he see that getting luna ready he stares at me. Getting take out hot dogs which were great I got to visit with my sister. I always enjoy seeing her and this time was no different we talked about school our family and summer plans. Soon my eagerness to return home over took me and we said our goodbyes

202 miles Total: 2,643 miles not including gas stops or when I was lost After all the driving I had done pitt to athens seemed laughable and it was. The miles flew by and I soon found myself home I got a free avalanche pizza with my loyalty card and called it a night. I loved this trip I am glad I went on it there are things I would do differently next time but only because I had a chance to do them wrong on this trip. The wildlife and views were amazing. The whole experience has wonderful and makes me hungry for more adventures. There are more adventures and tails to the trip then whats written here but these are the highlights
