Hey guys, reblogging under this post, I'm sorry I haven't been able to draw anyone that submitted themselves/their headmates! We are currently going through a family crisis, so things are all out of wack. Ideally once that's over with, we can go back to doodling and drawing people again!

We're going to try and do at least a little headshot for them, might even give them their own doodle page just for fun depending on how inspired we are!

Our passing Bonnie fictive wrote a communication levels chart from the perspective of someone in front, and the server we're in found it interesting so we thought we'd post it here!

Disclaimers: this chart is based on the perspective of someone in front trying to communicate, and doesn't account for headspace communication completely removed from front itself. Also, this chart doesn't account for monoconsciousness - the monocon subsystem that made this can only externally communicate past a 2 on this chart and is uncertain what higher levels would look like.

Bonnie's section:

levels of communication chart based on our own observations

0 - cannot feel their presence. not aware of their existence at present at all

1 - Can feel the fact that they exist, nothing else.

2 - Can send brief "messages" of short information, pictures, or simple emotions. the most slight of passive influence. Establishing initial communication as well as two-way conversation are extremely difficult.

3 - can communicate with complex emotions, pictures, etc, but establishing two-way communication consistently is tricky. Falls under most depictions of passive influence

4 - consistent two-way communication can be maintained via complex thoughts/words, pictures, emotions, etc. this connection may fade in and out without constant focus

5 - complete & consistent awareness of the presence of the other member and what they are communicating. Your awareness of the others' words/etc is just as clear as your own.

Hi! You said you draw headmates? Could you draw one of our headmates please? She has a white skin tone (litterally paper color), is a moth hybrid! Her wings are giant (like abover her head) and are white with dark bluish-purple spots! Her antene are a light lavender, with the tops being the same color as her wing spots! She also has long white hair (again, think paper) and wears white clothes! Her eyes are big, and fully blacked out, but not in a creepy way, more like it makes her look cute (if that makes sense?) thank you even if you dont draw her!

things we experience in our system that makes us feel like we're faking a little bit (but are entirely normal)

having mostly (like, REALLY mostly) introjects

splitting really quickly after watching a show/movie (etc)

seemingly splitting with no reason at all

having access to "too much memory" (i dont)

not having memory holders, gatekeepers, protectors, prosecutors, etc.

adding on to that last one, most of our alters dont have any traditional 'role' at all. sometimes theyre just chilling

(these days) having to force every switch since im totally frontstuck

finding it difficult to stay out of front

having fragments form and then basically disappear, never really resurfacing again

switches feel almost like im not the one whos changing, its like someone else is just passing through and into me. like ive just changed from wearing pink tinted glasses to orange ones

being traumatized by source memories/exomemories

having many alters form at once (call that bigeneration? i need to write this down,)

somewhat having power over splitting??? kinda????

changing/adding sources after already being split

going weeks without hearing from other alters

sometimes 'forgetting' how to switch ??? the action becomes almost muscle memory so if i think about it too hard i can get stuck mid switch

Dealing with a nonverbal pet or little

These are my tips on dealing with nonverbal pets and littles. I know both are fluent on who does what, so I tried to use what seems to be more common. This is mostly for understanding emotions or needs.

Pay attention to body language.

Littles: negative or positive stimming, angry stomping, being aggressive with drawing or playing, curling into a ball due to emotional distress or for coziness when tired, cuddling up to caregiver, friends, or stuffed animals for affection or comfort, and if they are keeping to themselves or seeking out attention.

Pets: hiding in safe places when feeling unsecure or scared, being too rough with toys or caregiver due to irritation or distress, and pawing when wanting attention.

Pay attention to what sounds they can make.

Littles: Happy babbling, sad or happy whining (sad whining usually follows distress like crying), sad whimpering due to sadness/fear/any sort of distress, laughing, and incoherent mumbling can mean boredom/spacing out/confusion/etc.

Pets: Making any strained animal sound that they are because of distress, hissing either for playfulness or anger, happy purring, and whimpering due to sadness/fear/or any sort of distress.

Games or activies

Littles: Playing pretend! Littles love games and playing with their caregivers. Maybe try to pretend to play as animals or teacher and student. Maybe use cards to communicate. Another good way is watching shows or cartoons. Might not require much speaking, and it's a good way to spend one another's company.

Pets: Try and play a game your pet likes playing! Games with pets don't always require speaking. Try a toy on a string for your kitty or fetch with your puppy. Another thing I would recommend is building a nest/bed. Just like littles, pets love comfy things but in their own way. Maybe make a pillow or blanket fort to mimic a pet house or use a ton of blankets and pillows to mimic a pet bed.
