TITANOMACHY: Dreams of the Hue | Omens 05 & 06
Art credit to the incredible Jonatan Anjos
Aqua/Marine | background: SALT OF THE EARTH | hustle: TRAUMA TEAMSTER | specialty: CYBOTEUR (L)
RUFUS | background: POSTHUMAN (MARIPOSA) | hustle: HAULER | specialty: CHARIOTEER (R)
Vroom-vroom, Omens, this world won't fell itself.
High-octane action is a centerpeice of TDoth, you are highly empowered individuals setting out to fundamentally change the world - we assume you have the proficiencies to do as such.
Omens move fast, and the Charioteer is the queen of keeping that speed assured. Rufus here has taken control of a truck from the hood using her BlackThumbs augs, plasma leashes giving her control of any vehicle she can get within a whip's length from. As well, her Chuggaway Mag-Boots keep her solidly (and stylishly) affixed to any metal surface.
Behind her, her Friend-in-the-Chair Aqua/Marine furiously types away on her Hardened Cyberdeck, assuring Aqua's safety on the highways they're precariously traveling.
These two are our first glimpses of Omens engaged in a Strike, the core structure of TDoth. Similar to Cyberpunk's Runs, Blades in the Dark's Heists and Wildsea's Voyages, Strikes are distinct missions with an end-goal of weakening a Titan's power one way or another. Many are high-energy, combat filled take-downs, and some are subtle social soirees simmering with explosive tension.
We got plenty more coming, including some devlogs from yours truly! I hope you can join us over on our playtest Discord, where we continuously refine and expand our playtest program to make this the best game it possibly can be.
As always, hope to see in there. We'd love to have you~

TITANOMACHY: Dreams of the Hue | Omens 03 & 04
Art credit to the incredible Jonatan Anjos
CORALYNN | background: BLUE BLOOD | hustle: PRIVATE MILITARY CONTRACTOR | specialty: USHER (L)
BUCK | background: POSTHUMAN (GLADER) | hustle: RIG RIDER | specialty: STREETSKNECHT(R)
Out in the dying Gulf of Mexico stomp the Desalination Rigs, mechanical monstrosities sitting somewhere between an off-shore oil rig and Voltron. These behemoths stomp across the ocean floor, sucking up ocean waves, processing fresh water from them, and spitting out hyper-salinated water not even osmosis can overcome.
Of course, the working class of the Hue are made to carry out this slow murder. Operation of the Rigs is a massive, multi-man job assisted by Pseudo AIs and fleets of seasonal workers shipped on and off every day.
Buck is one of many posthumans employed in these massive operations, folk changed by broken nature, nanites, and dozens of other biology altering effects commonplace after the end of it all. Cut through with spliced crocodile and alligator DNA, Buck is hardened to the hypersalinated swamps of the Glades, and uses that crocodilian hardiness to his advantage (alongside a suite of company-mandated augmentations.)
The Rigs are a vital part of Titan control, and to maintain it Titans and their lackeys post PMCs the same as on any street corner. In TDoth, the "grunts" are often your friends, family, allies or even yourself. Coralynn here is one of the thousands trapped in a life of poverty and given access to the poisonous fruit that is PMC money. Weaponizing it and turning it back on the Titans is a vital piece of Omen praxis, and so is remembering who is behind every Titan issued submachine gun.
And two more down!! So excited to be sharing all of these with folks, Jonatan is knocking it out of the park and this next piece in particular is gonna be a real homerun. Coralynn and Buck are two more of the many iconics you'll see spread throughout TDoth, showing us snapshots of life in the Hue.
If you want more of a taste, join us on our Discord where we hold regular playtests with our living playtest document! Our QuickStart looms on the horizon, and every game helps us find out what the Hue is really gonna be.
Hope to see you there friends, bye for now!

TITANOMACHY: Dreams of the Hue | Omens 01 & 02
Art credit to the incredible Jonatan Anjos
RORY | background: WESTERN TRANSPLANT | hustle: AUGMENTATION REPOSESSION SPECIALIST | specialty: ORGANIST (L)
LYLE | background: EX-COWBOY | hustle: BUSKER | specialty: HEKATON (R)
Everybody has to make a living in the Hue, and few jobs leave your hands clean at the end of the day. Rory & Lyle represent the first of our Omens, the complex cyber/biopunk revolutionaries at the heart of TDoth.
Within Wild Words characters consist of Aspects - abilities, narrative permissions, elements of character and iconic equipment - drawn from pools that stand in for a more traditional game's classes.
Omens consist of a Background, a Hustle, and a Specialty each represented by pools of Aspects players can draw from to make their Omens their own. As we see our iconic Omens throughout TDoth's art we explore different pieces of their lives, and here we focus on the Hustles that keep Rory and Lyle connected to the Hue.
Rory represents the Augmentation Repossession Specialists, the unfortunate many made to reclaim augmentations - biological or otherwise - on behalf of one of the many corpo-lenders out there. A Biopunk riff on the classic Organ Repossession trope we (I) loved so dearly in the 00's, represented with the most
Tumblr media
energy Jonatan could muster for Rory. It's grueling, bloody work but Rory has found a sickly synergy with their other work in the realm of the Organist, Cronenberg-esque organ artists of biology.
And then we have Lyle, chipper lad of the streets plucking away at a frutiger-aero weirdo guitar with some of his many, many arms. The Busker represents those artists who exists on the fringe of capital, and use their art as a beacon of the people. Houston is a city of liberating music cultures and iconic sounds, and the Buskers are the most unburdened by the grip of the Titans of any Hustle thanks to it.
A guiding image for much of Titanomachy is the incidental beauty of iridescence on edge of an oil slick. The Hue is one of the final tumors to a dying world, but there is still beauty to be kindled like fire. Cut throughout Lyle's design we tried to hide that sparkling, marginal beauty as often as possible.
These two are the first of many Omens that will show a fraction of what's possible within the world of TDoth. If you want to get a head start on building out some weirdos like this, or even want to hop in to a playtest or two, check our pinned post for more info on TITANOMACHY!
Thanks for reading,
Sillion L

Kill the Old World, one Titan at a time.
Save the New World to come.
We need you, Omen.
This city died a long time ago: Houston is a memory, H-Town is an echo, and only the Hue remains. One of the few “bastions” of humanity left, tumorous and hungry for what's left of the dying earth.
For the New World to rise, the Old must burn and the Titans of the Hue control its wealth, its dwindling resources, and its future.
Take it all back.
TITANOMACHY: Dreams of the Hue is a Cyber/BioPunk Tabletop Roleplaying Game built on the Wild Words engine, made popular by the award winning Wildsea TTRPG from MythWorks Press.
It is built for fast paced revolutionary science fiction action against the worst of humanity personified in the larger-than-life Titans of the Hue, trillionaires hell bent on destroying everything and everyone for their own comfort - a wholly fictional concept.
Character generation is rich, broad, and leads to fascinating characters tinged with real Southern identity and New Weird takes on cyber and biopunk tropes. You’ll find the ability to be a retired cowboy using a nanite-packed lip to burn through their own brain to do inhuman feats of shootistry; to be a cultivator of abandoned milspec flora that can serve you for a price; to represent those drafted into violence with false promises and the retribution they bring with the skills forced onto them; and you will find emotional seriousness and gonzo sensibility hand in hand.
Characters in the Hue are both bizarre and very real, cut through with real Queer Southern marginalized experience while empowered with fascinating abilities and narrative permissions to find revolutionary freedom fighters everywhere, beyond just cyber swords and big guns (which are both represented, and are great, don’t get us wrong here.)
Join us on the journey of thrashing out the details and populating this world with living people on our Discord, we’d be honored to have you.
