I can't really quantify why, but Raven looks badass here, and I'm convinced that Qrow is about to hustle someone at pool/darts/some kind of ScamSchool-esque bar bet.
A new darn rises for the stories of Trial. Hope folks enjoy this short-ish WR story. First chapter's pretty short but the next two are more inline with what I did for SoC, so if you just can't get enough I assure you more will come soon.
i'm honestly not even sure if that was a purposeful reference or if diggy diggy hole is just that deep into my subconscious. i haven't thought about the yogscast in what feels like decades
Hey folks it's been a couple months since SoC finished and that's slightly longer than I intended, but my 5-part Whiterose Blacksmith AU will start this Friday. The plan is for it to go up either weekly or maybe slightly faster. Before we get started I'd just like to give a heads up:
This fic is based on The Hammer & Anvil Song by The Longest Johns. It's a good song, but if you listen to it head of time it won't be a huge stretch to guess the overall direction of the story particularly the last 2-3 verses, so while it's not technically spoilers, this is my official warning in that regard. That said, the first verse doesn't actually give anything away, so here's the lyrics the chapter going up in a couple days is based on:
That's kind of of you to say, but if we're being realistic I don't rock as hard as I should. I mean I love my vintage Les Paul (knockoff) but I just don't practice very often. And in two years since I got a bass I've only actually bothered learning maybe three songs? It's kind of shameful if you think about--
Oh that's not what you meant, is it? Well thanks, mon ami, I appreciate it.
Now that the weekend's over I wanted to make sure to acknowledge/give a shoutout to @zacs-of-rwby for putting together the whole @remnants-of-rwby-exchange It was my first time participating in any kind of fic/art exchange or event for any fandom, and it was a lot of fun. And everybody created some awesome stuff. I'm still working through some of it, but it's been a great time so far.
