...well at least part of it. Let me explain...I had a dream that I could create scripted events easily, sadly as it is with anything, it's not always easy. I am rolling out the Empty version of New Pleasantview so you can add whoever you want and do whatever you want with it. The thumbnail picture for this one was taken by @plumbtales .

Speaking of Plumbtales, I want to give my sincerest thanks to Plumbtales for not only helping me with the lots for this big project, but for the support, kind words, teaching me new things, making the hood safe for download, handling the tedious task of taking charge of the language files and for just being an overall a great person to work with. I just want to put that out there because thanks are just not enough. I could not have done this by myself so thank you for being part of this with me.

Then there is the N001 version which it is the same hood and buildings, but with all the original characters that came with the game. I used @meetmetotheriver clean Pleasantview with townies. I used @microscotch Pleasantview Image as the thumbnail. After tweaking the neighborhood with SimPE and Mootilda Hood Replace, as well as a few mods that keep other characters from generating. (Thank you PT!) I was able to maintain the character's integrity and internal stories. They are all in the families bin in addition to their deceased (tombstones) being in the inventories of the living members. With this also came some sacrifices. The only thing I could not save were the scripted events because the properties no longer exist.

Lastly, I have also created a little realty catalog of all the properties in Oldtown. some have cute back stories and others you can put 2 and 2 together to determine where everyone in the families bin belongs.

ALSO I HATE TO YELL, BUT THIS PART NEEDS SPECIAL ATTENTION! THE N001 VERSION MUST BE PLACED INTO THE NEIGHBORHOOD FOLDER AFTER THE OLD N001 VERSION HAS BEEN DELETED OR RELOCATED BECAUSE IF YOU DO A REPLACEMENT OF FILES IT WILL BE WONKY FOR SURE. Done yelling.

This is only part 1. I plan to come back with a part 2 that will live the dream I am hoping to come to fruition where some characters from the past will be back and scripted events will make a comeback as well. I just need more time for that. I thought in the mean while I would give you guys this. This also helps me so if any of you notice anything amiss, you can let me know and I can fix it.

Just so you know the version of The Sims 2 that was used to create this neighborhood build was The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection.

And last but not least please make sure that you back up your stuff before you put anything that anyone has created (including me) into your folders.

***Please note: there is a known issues that tends to happen with apartment lots when you move in a sim, the entire lot appears to sink, don't panic. Return to the neighborhood and pick up and immediately place down again the lot. Do not move it to the lots bin. This should fix the issue. This is a well-known bug dealing with apartment lots built on not entirely flat lots. This is a snippet provided from one of Phaenoh's uploads on MTS. Thank you PD for answering my previous post.

hi tvickie! just wanted to let you know that my sims keep throwing errors when trying to use the flower arranging table from your garden at home set. what caused this suspects conflict with pick'n'mix sims' mod CraftingSkills if you feel like taking a look between their compatibility - i dont know anything about modding but would be lovely if the mod and the object could play together nicely! loving the set otherwise and thanks for all the lovely work you do :)

The flower arranging table was cloned from a maxis one, nothing is modded in there. I specifically tested this object for errors in a cc free game and my normal save with 800+ mods and I had no errors. Though I'm not using this specific mod by picknmix, my guess is that it doesn't play along with custom flower arranging tables. But I'm not a modder so I won't be able to help you with this one.

4t2 Fireplaces

My previews are like... I'm not impressed. Don't let them fool you, a whole lotta effort was put into these fireplaces and I hope they live up to it.

First and foremost, huge credits to @episims and @lordcrumps for their edits to Numenor's templates to allow the ts4 logs to ignite when the fire is lit. They also worked out the Realm of Magic fireplace to have green fire and purple/blue smoke. Love that!

If you have LordCrumps' Horse Ranch "Sturdy Ranch" & "While the Irons Hot", & Desert Luxe "Earthen Fireplace" delete them (and their Scriptorium_Fireplace scripts) and replace with mine. If you have my Decor to the Max "Warmly Chromatic Fireplace" delete it and the script file and replace with the new version (Decor to the Max 4t2 pack has been updated as of 17 April 2024).

10 fireplaces can be found in buy > appliances > misc 16 fireplaces can be found in build > misc > fireplaces 3 decorative objects can be found in buy > deco > misc 2 mirrors for EastEggElite & CrystalHearth can be found in deco > mirrors 1 tv for EastEggElite can be found in electronics > tvs

Help a Fellow Simmer

Howdy, folks!

I was working on an updated version of this mod for my game, but with fizzy drinks from TS4 Eco Living.

I ran into an issue where the recolors are not "linked" wherein if they pull from the green recolored 6 pack, they'll always get the main file's blue texture.

Is there a tutorial or a knowledgeable modder that can help me out? I'll pay you in gratitude :D

Important!

I normally don't do this, but please do not download this CC pack. It not only has some of my default hairs which I explicitly asked people not to reupload, but entire 4t2 packs, clothes, mods and what look like bodyshop installations.

I've seen this before but not at this magnitude. I don't know which version of the hair defaults they nabbed, what mods they loaded...

Trying not to be a hater, but with no credit and potentially harmful concoctions of cc, I'd recommend to find the original sources which was predominantly items on LordCrumps.com, @deedee-sims, @mdpthatsme, @tvickiesims, @applewatersugar, @rascalcurious, etc

There's a First Time for Everything: Here is my First Ever Recolor.

Good Morning! Today I bring to you my very first attempt at recoloring an object. I recolored TVickieSims's 4t2 default replacement Hydrangea. The mesh is not included please find the mesh and instructions for installation on her post as there are CEP extra files required. Trust and believe this download is definitely worth it as all the items are seasonal. If you already have her hydrangea default from the post linked above, no need to obtain the mesh.

I hope you like them, and they add the specific look you are looking for on your lot :). This was pretty fun to make, and I owe a debt of gratitude for the support I received from TVickieSims and Lord Crumps as they took the time to answer my questions as a beginner most patiently on Lord Crumps' forum. (If you have not already, check it out! www.lordcrumps.com.)

As always, I will say, with any downloaded content always try on your tester save first and then move to your game if you are happy with how it looks and works.

4t2 Hearing Aid (a collab with @episims ❤)

For everyone! They're from toddlers to elders, both genders. The left and right sides are separated. They come in the original 15 colors, the left ones are repo'd to the right ones. They have custom icons! (courtesy to Epi - I have no clue how to make them lol) We decided to only put them in the glasses section to avoid it triggering the jewelry turn on/off.

They're morphing so they fit the ears better, but the downside of this is that with weirder ear shapes (like pointy ears), they get quite distorted. Something for something. 🤷‍♀️

4t2 Seasonal Flowers And Shrubs Collection (Even more giant)

Ground covering flowers, creeping plants, ivy, plants in pots, grapes, topiaries, cactee, tropical plants, hedges, all kinds of grass... All seasonal? Yes 😃

This is a collection of 4t2 flowers and shrubs converted from Sims 4 in original textures and made seasonal. It is meant as an add-on to my 4t2 Default Replacement Flora because I didn’t include plants already available there.

Key features:

55 seasonal flowers

81 seasonal shrubs

3 peeable bushes (made on iCad's edit of CS peeable bush that won't drain hygiene. Guids are new but delete their previous version), non seasonal (get procedural snow), have all recolors from other meshes grouped

All hedges intersect with each other and other plants and objects but sims can't walk through them (that's made on purpose)

Bougainvillea creeping shrubs are shiftable, as well as smaller ivy and wisteria

Planters can also go on floor, not just the ground

Wall and creeping plants require being placed against a wall (otherwise use moveobjects cheat)

3 cc plants by Max20 (from his Poolside Lounge Pack)

A ton of seasonal recolors for both shrubs and flowers

Some are hood view enabled, but not all to save game resources

Quarter tile placeable

Smoothed out meshes

Undersides for leaves

As always, I tried to follow real-life seasonness of plants but sometimes had fun with some states and textures, don’t take it too seriously. Not all plants flower at the same seasons.

California poppy from this set will overwrite my previous conversion, so keep only one version.
