<<<>>> Prayers for the California fires <<<>>> . . . The devastation and destruction is hard to even grasp::. I feel for you my california family affected by the fires. This has been going on for too many years. I am optimistic that we can put an end to the chaos and bring harmony back to our beautiful lands. . ♾𓂀♾ (((Holding this vision and believing in the infinite possibilities))) ♾𓂀♾ . . Every time a major event like this happens, it wakes the general public up for a short time after - but it might be time we really *integrate* this sense of urgency into our daily lives. . Question the ways we have been living and question how these fires are beginning in the first place - and how they rage with such intensity... there could be other factors in the equation. . . . Throughout the last week, I love seeing on social media how people come together to support people in their commUnity and to share important information. I appreciate how destruction can put into perspective the impermanence of material things (and of life). I think there are some amazing conversations being catalyzed. A lot of generosity, compassion, gratitude, and raw connection. . . . If you are in an area affected by the fires I pray that you are safe, nurtured, feeling loved...and able to do one of the hardest things for us humans to do - let go. It takes a lot of strength, courage, and faith to go through such devastation... . . I also hope that anyone in areas where there is a lot of smoke can find heavy duty masks (because breathing in the toxic air from fires can create long term damage...) . . . “The Future We Used to Have” is what I am calling this piece I’ve been working on. . . Which reality are we creating? . . . I am intrigued by quantum physics/quantum timelines. The theory that two timelines, or “realities”, can exist simultaneously is a very real possibility in my mind. So we do have the power to effect and change what timeline we are existing on. But it requires collective action. It requires supporting businesses/causes that support the future we want to create in a universe of infinite quantum possibilities! More and more people on this planet are waking up and deciding that the “old way” of doing things is no longer serving the collective... . . I’m not a perfect person and in no way am I claiming to be. I can see that certain actions, like driving a gasoline fueled car for example, is not as progressive as I would prefer. So in no way, am I calling anyone out, because I too must find alternative solutions. . . More walking, biking, or jogging places!🤸‍♂️🏃‍♀️🚲 More plant based diet choices!🍌🍑🥕🥗🍉🥑 More reusable utensils and biodegradable packaging!🥢🥣 More gardens & plants!🌿🌸🌱 More supporting local farmers!👩🏽‍🌾 More supporting living artists!✨👩🏽‍🎨🔮🦋. More VOTING! ⚡️⚡️⚡️ The list goes on .. . . . All of the things listed above are great actions we can take in our communities. No matter what “political party” we affiliate with... And ULTIMATELY, I feel the biggest thing anyone can do to bring positive change and spread a progressive message, is TO BE LOVING TO ALL BEINGS!!!💖 . . So many people in the world are hurt, jaded, skeptical, and critical of one another. Why? Usually because someone treated them that way in the past. Someone didn’t show them love or compassion. And it scars people...sometimes permanently. And so a lot of people in our society today don’t seem to trust each other. We have lost the connection to spirit that shows us we are one people, united through one universal energy that flows through ALL LIFE! ✨⚡️✨. . . Getting down & dirty shooting on the jungle floor with 📸@juannpacifico 🌿📷🌿 The moody vibe of this shoot and the concept of literally having layers of mud on the skin reminds me of one of my favorite analogies from an amazing book called The Enneagram - the analogy essentially says how we are all truly beings of light in our essence..but as humans in this society, over time layers of “tar” form on top of our essence, obscuring the inner light. “Some blotches of the tar are very thick; other areas are thinner and more transparent. Those who have worked on themselves for longer have less tar and they radiate more of their inner light. Because of their personal history, others are covered with more tar and need a great deal of work to get rid of it” :: . This metaphor brings me so much compassion for myself and for others. It brings me remembrance that we are all made of the purest light at our cores, and this life is a journey of getting more in tune with that light.
