I feel like people aren't talking enough 'bout this series!
Like, I know, Misfit: The Series is somehow cliche, predictable and very cringy sometimes, but it's entertaining!
The songs are very catchy. The lyrics are cheesy, but they fit with this "uptown-preppy-student" vibe.
They are giving me "Glee meets Mamma Mia! meets Violetta". But more goofy and less dramatic.
Why I'm bringing Mamma Mia! into this? Because the most talented girl and the queen-bee from Hoogland College -eng. Highland High-, Jolijn Henneman (Sterre Hagendoorn), played Sophie at some point -in the Dutch version, of course-.
Also, I saw the films, and the fact that Robin and Ricardo disappeared on the third one -with no explanation involved- still upsets me!
I'm not an expert in French, but I'm 60% sure the Danish people made Cami sing the lyrics with a strong English accent and some words were pronounced the wrong way.
And I agree, it's easier to understand English 'cause the majority of Disney Channel's productions are either American or Canadian. So, we can differentiate a bad English accent from a good one, if that makes sense.
I think Disney Channel Nordic expected the Scandinavian kiddos would understand the English, Italian and French songs easily, that's why they didn't put subs.
