Stay tuned.👀 📚🎈🚂💐🎼🎣⛲️💃🏻👰🏻‍♀️ Our website is the product of a near year-long collaboration with @squareast, who I’m fortunate to have known since Dr. Carol Krinsky’s Art 1 @nyuarthistory.💜 We’ve received many encouraging words over these past months.🥰 I just want say all this was only made possible by Josh’s ability to realize my quattrocento fantasia and XIXe rêverie in good honest codes.👨🏻‍💻 The graphic design of the website is tailored for a desktop, where you’ll enjoy the maximum viewing experience. In the distant summer of 2018, we collaborated with the talented @yaffegiraffy to create our branding suite that you see above and below.💙🤍 After that and the debut of #WeinbergModernBooks @brooklynbookfair, we set our sights on *the website* — then life intervened, as it is wont to do: We mounted an exhibition, went back to the classroom, wed, found our home (near amenities that truly matter — Austrian café & German deli!), endured a renovation in historical UES (#iykyk), reimagined and consolidated our business, packed up our entire life and work and made both moves in vicious summer heat, set up our Tribeca bookstore/gallery, and watched many a ballet along the way… Has it really been FOUR years? Four years in the making: weinbergmodernbooks.com launching on September 1. (Gosh has it really been that long?😅) . . . September 10, 2018: “1. This icon was conceived in homage to the #WienerWerkstätte: It is not only the obsession of one half of #WM📚, but more important, it embodied the #Gesamtkunstwerk pursuit that is central to our identity, and informs all our endeavors. From our lovely designer, Elizabeth Yaffe @yaffegiraffy, who has worked patiently with us for the past three months: This logo draws from the mid-century use of rectangles and squares - as seen on the cover of Frank Lloyd Wright’s “Modern Architecture” - to evoke an abstraction of a book with a “W” and “M” on the cover. The styling of the “W” and “M” are drawn from the Kabel font.
