What are some heroes you think we should get maps relating to them?

I’d love to see an actual Vishkar map for Symmetra

And an actual Talon base and not the hidden kind like Rialto, specifically the one where the lower level people like Mauga and Baptiste would ship out from to go on missions

A Vishkar and Talon Map are high on my list.

However I would also like more maps based around characters homes or other locations in the Overwatch world. Like maybe another Watchpoint or a Blachwatch Safe House/Area or base. Something like that to show what happened to the other Watchpoints that were left abandoned.

I would also love a map at Atlantic Archology for Lifeweaver.

What are the factions and organizations within the OW universe that you think needs to have a hero added to represent them or more heroes added to represent them

Mine’s gotta be Talon, the Hashimoto, Vishkar, and the Gwishin

Talon is an absolute must for me, especially Talon Supports cause we don't even have enough talon characters for a full team. I also think we need a Junker Support characters, or maybe just an austrailian character who isn't from Junkertown. And I have already detailed my want for Sanjay to become a playable character.

I do also think that having a Hashimoto character would be interesting but I doubt well get one while the main story focus is still on Null Sector (that's if they keep giving us story after Hero Ascendants).

But I think the main group that needs to be focused on is Talon, they are the main villains after all.

as tired as I am with villain tanks, I wouldn't be surprised if Sanjay was a villain tank with hardlight armor. Though they might be able to do that for support as well. I also think his Weapon should be a sonic weapon as a reference to Vishkar taking that stuff from Lucio's dad cuz that hasn't been referenced in years.

Oh god the drama of him having the same sonic technology as Lucio would be so fun with interactions. Imagine OW1 Lucio and Sym interactions, but soooooo much worse. Lucio would be throwing hands-

It would also give us a chance to see Vishkar's corruption more, as with Lifeweaver having fully left Vishkar and Symetra now questioning it. We don't really get references to how evil Vishkar is, like you said, even the fact that Vishkar stole Lucio's dads tech is not really talked about anymore.

As for how hardlight armor could work for a support, I could honestly picture that being his ult. Something that grants both himself and his team with healing and armor. Maybe it could even be like a combination of Ramattra and Lucio's ults where after Sanjay's ult is activated there is a radius on where the healing happens while the ult is active.

I can't believe I haven't talked about this more yet, or that I haven't seen anyone else really go into this idea.

But MW!Moira, can we actually talk about her please cause her story would be so interesting.

Now when I watch the interview it was actually up in the air whether or not MW!Moira would be in Overwatch, however in my mind she is, cause 1, it too good not to do, and 2, MW!Overwatch needs more members, they are so outnumbers-

So, what do I think MW!Moira is like? Well for one I do think she'd still do her questionable experiments but they are only on herself. The only time she would have ever done one of her experiments on another person was on MW!Reyes and that was to save his life. I also think that this would be something she actually regret having to do, spending a lot of her free time during Reyes's recovery period trying to find ways to make the side effects less severe.

In general though I think she'd be really against experimenting on other people. I also think the reason why Moira would still experiment on herself would be a notion of "even if this research kills me, others will find my research and expand on it", basically a "I may not be entitled to patience, but others are". She would still believe in the progression of humanity but she would have a few more limits on what she's willing to do for that progression. Which would lead her to having a lot more faith in the next generation and just humanity in general.

Though I do think that MW!Moira would have a more positive outlook, I don't think she'd be any less of a bitch. I think she'd be nicer to Reyes, but there is also the fact that that man would not like being on bedrest. Basically MW!Moira is a tired mum and keeps having to say to Amelie "I am not giving you anymore augmentations, your eyes are enough." and chase after MW!Gabe cause he needs bedrest and he isn't staying still.

What are the characters that we’ve seen in the various media stories of Overwatch that you’d want as heroes

Mine are Maximilian and D.Mon

My main ones are Sanjay, Lynx and Frankie. All of them most likely being supports.

Sanjay cause we need another villain support. Like yesterday. Please give Talon more members cause at this point they are just going to get jumped. But also I think Sanjay would be a good opportunity to bring back a version of Symetra's old support kit.

Lynx is also a character I see as support, probably with an altered version of MW!Sombra's kit as well. I they would be a good addition cause they seem like they could be a good middle ground for Zenyatta and Ramattra's beliefs, they're very intolerant of prejudice but are accepting of change. I also think that they are a good choice cause they already have an in to get into Overwatch with Zarya already being a member.

Frankie is the only one that's a toss up between DPS or Support, but considering her role in Deadlock Rebels I think she'd fit better as support. Character wise I would just like more insight for Deadlock and the other founders reactions to the situation with Cassidy. Cause Frankie is a lot more level headed and is more similar to Cassidy then Ashe in the way they act and understand the world. Not only that but Frankie would be a good opportunity to bring in a drone based Support.

Is Gerard alive in the Mirrorwatch universe and if he’s alive than that means that Ana could have possibly been brainwashed into killing her husband Sam do you think the mirror watch version of Widowmaker is better than the normal talon version?

In voice lines it is confirmed that MW!Gerard is still alive and most likely still an Overwatch agent (cause there is no way in hell that man is a civilian), it's also confirmed in voice lines that Ana did betray Sam in this universe. Likely meaning that she killed him.

Though something interesting to note is that not only is it implied that MW!Ana used to be an Overwatch agent, but there is no indication that she's been brainwashed. Actually there seems to be more of an argument that Reinhardt is the one that's brainwashed with is line of "You hold my leash no longer" when he eliminates Ana and the fact that his skin is called Fallen Knight. There is also the consideration that though MW!Ana sees emotion as a weakness, she hasn't had them dulled or removed.

In all honesty, though MW!Ana seems to very much be in Widowmakers role, personality wise she seems more like Moira, as well as her motives being similar to Doomfist with a lot of her voice lines talking about how the world has grown weak and complacent, along with her line "I chose greatness, you chose failure". It's also implied that whatever was done to Rein in the world, it was done by Ana, not only because of Reinhardt's line but also one of Ana's own; "Mind yourself Reinhardt. You're still of use to me."

As for MW!Ameile being better then Widowmaker? Absolutely. I've talked about the problems with Widow's fighting style before butthe main problem and the main thing that holds her back is that her fighting style isn't personalized. It's all Talon training and the few moments it isn't are the moment when she actually hits her shots. So with Amelie not being brainwashed and only having a few augmentations, that being her eyes, cause not only is one of them a prosthetic but her eyes are still yellow in this world, meaning Moira did something to her eyes at the very least. It means that Amelie would incorporate more of her own style into her fighting, specifically I think MW!Amelie's fighting style looks more like dancing then fighting.

Also even though it's not really implied and it might be a stretch, but if MW!Ana was previously working for Overwatch, It's highly likely that Ana trained Amelie in this universe. So yeah, I think that Captain Lacroix would easily be a better sniper and fighter then Widowmaker, however, she would not be the better assassin.

From lovingoverwatchguys: Thinking about Lucky Man again, and I can't believe it's now explicitly said in canon that Jack doesn't think Reyes was responsible for the fall of Overwatch. I'm still really happy about it. Partially because that invalidates a lot of bad takes about them, lol. This story validated my views on him so much

100% agreed. Honestly I was a bit worried that this would either be glossed over or, god forbid, mischaracterized/retconned, but mot only did it not do that, but it also gave use a description of what Reyes's reaction to the explosion was, which I was genuinely surprised by. It makes me even more excited to see what more stories they're going to tell in the future.

Also this story very much feels like a better version of CoV, both stories have a similar formula, even having Sombra feature as a major character, the characters being on a time limit, the characters breaking into places owned by the UN. But while CoV feels like a character assassination, Lucky Man is not only better written in general, but also feels like it's trying to rectify the mistakes done in CoV. Especially with the description of Gabe's reaction to the explosion.

Honestly all of these stories have either validated what I've been saying about characters or give me new perspectives on them. Some of them even fix problems I had with the writing of certain characters (*cough* *cough* Kiriko).

Sorry if you talked about this already, but for your Soldier:76 Mirrorwatch HC where he founds Talon and retires, how do you think he goes about that? I'm thinking about Baptiste where Talon still hunts him down.

Maybe not founded (it's just the easiest way to describe what he would have done) but he was probably the leader of Talon before Vengence took over, also probably the one to also go "let's stop fucking around and actually do something", and the thing about Baptiste being hunted down is the fact that he was 1, not a high ranking member of Talon, and 2, he did not hand in his resignation quietly. Bap straight up made himself a problem when he left.

So I don't think Jack would be hunted down because of rank and he'd literally just be chilling in suburbia somewhere in the world. Though because of this I think that he would have lead Talon in a way that never connected him to anything, like to anyone looking at the situation it's obvious he was involved but there isn't any concrete evidence.

In the middle point on Hanaoka the painting shows the blue dragon seeming to fight a tiger, what do you think that represents in terms of lore?

This is actually a reference to a story Kiriko talked about in her short story Yokai. Not only that but in general, the Shimada's and the Hashimoto have always had a long standing rivalry. We also know that the Shimada clan did have a mostly positive repour with the citizens in their territory, so I wouldn't put it past them to put a mural up in refence to the story featured in Yokai.

Ok, watched the interview and holy shit does it give a lot of context. It gives both a lot of context with how the seasons and mythics are made along with just the lore in general.

So for those who are not willing to watch the interview here are some thinsg that were revealed lore wise;

Lifeweaver is most likely the leader of Vishkar and MW!Vishkar is a military organization, having to goal of healing the world at all costs. It's also confirmed that MW!Lucio would be working for Vishkar.

It was also revealed in this interview that they played with the idea of Symm switching places with Lucio, which leads me to now having the HC that MW!Sym listens to music a lot of the time and especially while she's working.

Baptiste and Sojourn skins are actually not Mirrorwatch skins but are in the firm ground of "they may as well be". Also it is confirmed that no matter the universe, Sojourn would never join Talon, it's also somewhat implied that MW!Baptiste would just be a version of him that never left Talon.

Winston would be a Junker, specifically a Tinker.

MW!Angela is usually called Vengence and has a negative reaction to being called Angela.

Talon and Overwatch's goals as a whole are still the same but idevidually characters goals has changed, an exmple used in the interview was Doomfists morals being changed to a "the strong protect the weak".

It was also confirmed that yes, Soldier 76 would be Talon and Reaper would be Overwatch, but I still stand by my HC that Jack founded Talon and then retired.

Honestly this interview was such a good watch and not just because I'm obsessed with Overwatch lore. It's also because as a creative myself, a creative actively studying to go into this field of work, it was so interesting to hear about OW's art teams creative process. Not only that but to hear that it was similar to my own was fantastic.

lol yeah I think that's why. But I mean also thr Hashimoto breaking Hanzo to add insult to injury makes total sense.

Honestly initially I thought against this because my theory for MW!Hanzo's backstory was that instead of following the Shimada elders orders, he refused but the elders tried to kill Genji anyway. Which lead Hanzo and Kiriko to join/take over the Hashimoto.

But honestly, I could see both of these storylines being true. The Hashimoto manipulating Hanzo at his lowest point and then breaking him after all the support he would have is gone. Without anyone looking out for him or anyone to come looking for him he essentially became the Hashimoto's plaything.

Which leads me to believe that the reason Kiriko joined the Hashimoto was to protect Hanzo. To make sure that he wasn't being taken advantage of. Maybe she even could have taken over the Hashimoto in this universe as a way to make sure that this doesn't happen. That her entire family is safe.

Oh I LIKE those Ability changes! Except I still prefer the Hanzo ult I made cuz a lot of people seem to picture Hanzo Hashimoto as being kinda feral, like so broken he acts like an animal. Also some of the Ultimates seem to take from actual abilities in game, like Akande Ultimate being like Lucio's. But still, I'm glad you like some of what I had and I like the changes you made!

Thank you!! I really liked the abilities you came up with and it gave me the chance to kind of leave my comfort zone a bit cause I don't really talk about abilities in the game play sense that often.

And yeah with your reasoning with the ult trading I can see MW!Hanzo's ult being similar to Primal Rage, maybe even a cool thing that could happen is that his hands turn into tiger claws with the same energy that his dragons are usually made of.

But I do have a slight question regarding MW!Hanzo....

Is that animalistic characterisation thing....

I've got some ideas for if Junker Genji, Junker Symmetra, Hanzo Hashimoto, Kiriko Hashimoto, Null Sector Orisa, and Junker DVa were playable in Mirrorwatch.

Lemme know your thoughts!

Genji: secondary fire is replaced by three mini Junkrat Grenades, Deflecting Dagger is replaced by Roadhog chain hook

Symmetra: Turrets now spew globs of burning chemicals, teleporter is replaced by three mini Turrets that Heal

Hanzo: Sonar Arrow deals bleed effect, Dragonstrike is replaced by Tiger Rage (like Primal Rage)

Kiriko: Healing ofuda grants lifesteal, Kitsune Rush Slows Enemies Inside of it as well now

Orisa: Replaces javelin throw with the version of disruptor that Sojourn had for April fools, Replaces javelin spin with a Sigma barrier

DVa: Pistol now inflicts Enemies with burn and fires like Torb gun, flight now acts like JQ Ultimate axe spin, self Destruct is replaced by a BOB style Ultimate that eventually has a smaller self destruct

Ok so a key part of Mirrorwatch's kit builds are keeping the characters core identities, which is why, say, Vengeance still has res but it explodes soles. That is something you need to keep in mind when making fan kits.

So for Genji instead of just giving him Junkrats bombs and Roadhogs hook, I would give him his regular primary and secondary fire except the shurikens explode on impact. As for deflect I would keep that the same but give swift strike a bleeding effect on hits.

I have no notes on Sym, honestly I couldn't really think of anything wrong with the changes you made. Also I absolutely agree with the healing turrets, bring back support Sym. Also the healing supports my little HC that MW!Sym was the one the one to change MW!Genji's prosthetics after he escaped Talon.

I can honestly say the same for Hanzo but I present that instead of the Sonar Arrow it's changed to a sonar dagger? I just think that even if this Hanzo still doesn't use a sword, he still uses blades. Also for Tiger rage instead of it being like Primal Rage it's instead Hanzo summoning two Tigers onto the battle field that function similarly to MW!Bastion Chicken Bots. Just with more damage and maybe even a bit more health.

With Kiriko I like the ult but I present also changing her Suzu to, instead of cleansing, to give a temporary discord effect to enemies.

Honestly with Orisa I think the Barrier would be a good chance to bring back her barrier from her original kit. Though I would also like to add a leap ability that is similar to Doomfist as MW!Orisa would be the major threat to Numbani in this world so I think her having a leap ability would be a good callback to that.

I really like the D.Va changes you made but I spesifically want the talk about the Ult. I could picker it being like her ult in game where she send out her Mech but instead of exploading imidiately, it does the same thing B.O.B does and shoots other players before exploding, it could also still have the same health as the Mech usually does but with the balancer of whether you destroy it or not it's still going to explode.

actually I'm gonna make a list of MW codenames. We already know Angela is Vengeance

Akande: Boonfist or Dawnfist

Olivia: Destello or Brillo meaning flash or glow

Amelie: Webmaker

Ana: Shrike still works or maybe Jazaar meaning butcher cuz shrikes are called butcher birds and I think that fits

Reinhardt: Dunkleritter meaning dark knight or Zerschmettern meaning shatter or Raserai meaning frenzy like his new passive

Brigitte: Förfalska or Smält

Lena: Bloodthirst or Vampire or Carmilla

Zarya: we could use Mogila meaning grave as in gravity, or Omega if she's somewhat of a Sigma equivalent or Izgnaniye meaning expulsion

Ok so with MW!Akande specifically his name would still be Doomfist, as that code name is not something he picked but something that comes with the gauntlet he uses. Not only that but the first Doomfist was a hero, so I doubt that his name specifically would change.

For Sombra, her even going by her real name is the switch, though I do think she would go by a code name due to the fact I highly doubt that she isn't involved with Blackwatch. I also really like the code names you picked, so I'd also like to present the code name I think she'd go by; Azucar (a reference to HoN, specifically the wirless connection she uses to hack).

For Amelie, though it is confirmed that she goes by Captain Lacroix in this universe, it is also confirmed that Gerard is alive, and I highly doubt he's a civilian or at least has always been a civilian. So I like to think that Amelie would have had a code name when she was a cadet. As for the code name you suggested may I suggest Webdancer or Spiderdancer? mainly because the "maker" part of Widowmaker was mainly a play on words because she made herself a widow. So I think that part of her name doesn't really make sense in this universe. For my reasoning for Spiderdancer specifically, The Spider is actually a dance technique in ballet, and I thought that was fitting.

Ana, I have no notes for, honestly completely see her just going by Shrike in this universe. Same with Brig and Rein.

For Lena I was honestly thinking Slipstream, mainly because this Tracer is very revenge focused, probably specifically towards Overwatch. So it would make sense that her code name would be a constant reminder that Overwatch caused this, that they did this to her.

As for Zarya I was thinking "Sirus" the meaning of the actual name is 'glowing' or 'scorching' but this is more of a reference to Sirius B, a white dwarf star, which is the opposite of a supernova. Supernova being Zarya's namesake.

Sorry if this ended up being a big tangent, you just gave me a big brain blast. The names you did a really good though and I really like them!! You did a really good job of researching what the names mean and how they would fit with the characters. Mad respect to you for that!
