So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be.

the mountain goats make music for people who spent their entire lives convinced they would die before they were 17 except now they're 26 and they have a job and friends and hobbies and they're not sure what they're meant to do now that they've survived

Not even the gods, he said, were more powerful than the Three Fatal Sisters. He did not mention them by name, but spat to avoid bad luck; and I shivered to think of them in their glum cave, spinning out lives, measuring them, cutting them off.

Venus
THE MORNING AND EVENING STAR
Depending on her wandering, Venus could be seen as a morning or evening star. Not a luminary, but still bright to the eye. The orbit of Venus forms a pentagram, unfolding in a pattern like a rose. In mythology, her curious path was venerated by the goddess Inanna, queen of the heavens, and her journey to the underworld. Ishtar would later influence the greek Aphrodite and in turn her roman counterpart, Venus.
Venus, named after the roman goddess of love and beauty, is associated with those very things. Venus in astrology represents everything from the art you create and gravitate to, the kind of lover you are, how you enjoy and partake in pleasure. It is the planet of sensuality and magnetism. Venus rules the signs of Taurus and Libra. Taurus representing the more earthy sensuality while Libra reflects elegant diplomacy.
The Empress is the tarot card that relates to Venus. In the Coleman Smith Rider Waite deck, the Empress is a woman seated upon a lush thrown amidst a lush and fertile landscape. In her hand a scepter and on her head, a diadem of stars. The glyph of Venus and feminity by her feet in heart. This card is about fertility, the cultivation and birth of creativity, abundance, and indulgence.
Book a session with me if you are curious about what Venus could tell you about relationships and creativity.
