I'm going with Bucky.

He doesn't know exactly how he ended up in this situation and at this stage in his life he doesn't even question it.

The powers part does make him wary, it's not something he was trained to deal with. If they are of some 'mind bending' quality more so.

It takes him some time to get ised to that part.

But he does understand way to well how it is to have fear and to be treated differently by something you're not responsible for.

Which is why he takes her under his wing and becomes so much protective.

Bucky will approach her with patience and give her the space she needs as he too is an adult.

It's a bit of a rough start until she trusts him enough.

He understands it. Even if she tries to fight him, he too was in this position once.

Some battles may follow.

He truly believes she just needs to have a chance.

But once he earns her trust, he'll help and care for her as his own.

Doesn't really pushes her to talk about her past if she doesn't wish to. He believes it's something she'll do in time if she wishes. And he gets why if she doesn't want to talk.

More than anything, he wants to build good memories for her and for himself. He wants to experience happy things.

She hopefully likes cats.

Will be awfully selective of whom he lets close enough to her.

That's for friends. Don't even get me started on dates.

Bucky's an affectionate person and shows that in different ways. If she doesn't like touch, he'll do things like share food, if she does, he loves hugs and forehead kisses.

Will train her in martial arts and how to handle weapons. Just in case.

Does she bends the elements like an avatar? Does she moves stuff with her mind? Is she a magician? Cool. Now back to the hand to hand combat.

He knows she probably doesn't need it, but his base reasoning of 'what if you can't use your powers?' Wins every time.

Plus, it also makes him a proud father to teach something.

Will let her into battle only after he deems she's ready, even so, he'll be right with her.

Proud dad to see her handling herself.

Oh, hoping to see more of her in phase 4.

Mask:

Depends on which phase of her life she is. If it is during her pilot or Kree years, then yes. In those times she had to put up a mask in front of the outside world to fit in. She would have to do so in order to protect her darling and her relationship.

Now, after? Hell no. She couldn't possibly care less to what anyone else in the galaxy thinks of her and she's powerful enough to back it up.

Love letters:

One thing that doesn't change about her is that she loves to have fun, if she causes some trouble, then well, more fun! So her 'courting' goes more or less in this nature. She'll invite her beloved to have fun and mess around, to what will undoubtedly become the wildest dates they ever had. It's hard not to fall in love with her when she's laughing all happy or with her smirk when she's up for something.

Hey can I please ask how the avengers would be if peter brought someone home to the tower who just wanted to be protected by any/all of them? She is happy with the because she doesn't have to do things that make her unhappy and they'll care for her? Like peter is in love with her but they love her like family? X thanks so much

So good it’s Peter that brought someone and not some of the older Avengers. Keeps them from getting in Civil war 2.0.

Right out of the bat, Tony would be the first one to reach out, he’ll make a bunch of questions trying to measure if she feels the same for Peter or not. Ends up treating her the same way as he treats Peter.

She won’t really have to do anything she doesn’t like, she won’t have to do anything at all if she doesn’t want to, but he’ll push her to pursue some goal.

Will protect her like he does to Peter. Totally understands if Peter wishes to leave her at the tower whenever he’s fighting crime.

Embarrassing dad vibes.

Bruce is supportive of young love, he’ll gladly take her under his wing too, although he prefers to protect from afar, for obvious reasons.

Steve is surprised. He feels awkward, but understands if Peter prefers to bring her to the tower. More like a mentor figure.

No relationship expert, but finds it cute.

Bucky is a bit awkward and distant, but supportive nonetheless. Faint memories of his teenager times.

Won’t engage much in conversation, but she won’t be harmed on his watch.

Clint just can’t help himself and will tease them. Embarrassing uncle.

Natasha is big sister vibes. She likes to see the family growing and likes to see them happy.

Occasional teasing.

By the way, Clint, Natasha and Bucky will try to teach her some self defense if she wishes.

Thor cheers for them and wishes for the best.

Yeah I am, been taking care of my own mental health for a while which is why I took the big time off.

Those two weeks were quite busy as I am in the process of moving. Talk about the bunch of boxes, the packing and unpacking stuff and the unexpected house fixes.

Anxious and paranoid are Bucky and Natasha’s whole mood lol.

Where they are similar:

Those two will behave quite a lot like the other, they have, after all, very similar backgrounds.

And for both of them, this kind of s/o fits like a glove. Half of the work they would have to do to get them reliant on them is already done, they would just have to step in and prove themselves to them as a source of comfort and security. Which they are more than ready to do.

In a sense, it would make them much more comfortable that their s/o won’t try to leave them.

They are both paranoid. The same paranoia that they used to get their s/o in their arms will feed their own paranoia and make it skyrocket.

It will be something that will quickly spiral for them and their s/o.

Every slightly odd look they get, every change in the surroundings, as harmless as it may be, will be enough to trigger their fight instinct.

Soon enough there will be no one  and nowhere they deem safe.

Every new place they think will be good to live with their s/o will prove itself unsafe, even that forgotten bunker or distant spot won’t be good for long enough.

Both of them will feed into their s/o’s fears, though a good part of it comes from their many own fears. They know first hand how horrible the world is, this will create another spiral.

Bucky:

To Bucky this s/o is almost a mirror image of him.

He’s not the same man he was before the fall. While not necessarily shy, he’s mostly uncomfortable in social situations, so he won’t push them to be social at all and will be glad they won’t miss much of it once they become an item.

Doesn’t mind them not talking. He already has enough voices in his head, he can use the silent company.

Anxiousness will be a problem. He gets anxious easily and it will work a number on him to balance his s/o anxiety. They’ll need to find an outlet for it real quick.

Lets them cling on his back while he cleans his guns.

Natasha:

For her the no talking thing might be a bit of a problem. She likes to talk, she wants to her their thoughts and feelings, she wants to share jokes with them, talking also helps silence the ghosts in her mind.

She’ll engage in idle conversation here and then and slowly try to change that particular trait of her s/o.

She will also try to get them out of their shell a bit. Not like to completely change to an extrovert person, but nudge them to be more confident in themselves. She loves to see their flushed face.

She’s anxious herself for obvious reasons, but she’ll know how to navigate it hers and her s/o anxiety a bit better than Bucky.

Big spoon and her breasts are the pillows.

Well, of course! They have an unique bond because of the mind stone, on top of that, they complement each other quite nicely. It's not much of a stretch even in canon alone to see them that way.

In their particular case, it would be probably the best outcome for everyone. Leave the two lovebirds be yandere for each other in a cute house somewhere and go on with their lives.

Hey I'd like to ask a quick question. If Wanda's partner enjoyed role play (could be sexy or not) would she use her powers like a holo-deck episode from star trek or would she lean to traditional methods like dnd or larping? Would she even care to try?

Wanda definitely enjoys role play, it's something that brings her out of her sadness and eases her mind, it's good to pretend to be someone else. Like it or not, her partner will role play with her in some manner, if they enjoy it too, them she'll be more than happy to indulge in the fun.

She can play both ways, traditional and with her powers, she enjoys the fun and being someone else for a while. And loves the outfits.

Dnd and larping would be more of a "family moment" play. She'll want her partner and their kids (because she totally has that call to be a mother, one way or another).

On the other way, she will use her powers holo-deck style to play with her partner, chances are, they are already living in one. Of course it's a much more dangerous and unpredictable experience given the nature of her powers, even for herself. It's very likely that this particular way of role play will spiral out of control.

In one word, organized yandere.

Pepper will have her beloved's schedule carefully planned out.

From dates to bussiness meetings, nothing escapes her eyes.

Pepper is actually a well rounded yandere, a quite intelligent and self aware one in hiding her not so bright tendencies.

Which is not to say she won't destroy a rival whole livelihood if that's what it takes to get them out of the way.

Know the say "hit them where it hurts"? To Pepper it means destroying said person reputation and professional career until they're left bankrupt.

She entirely prefers to do things discreetly, but if someone does provokes her jealousy enough to get her angry, she will share a piece of her mind to them. With a very sharp tongue.

Her beloved might entirely miss her tendencies, even if they witness she putting a rival back in their place. She has a way with words that will make her beloved think she was entirely within reason. And she does plays with their ego.

Her beloved doesn't even need to have that much ego, but with her loving words and reassurance, Pepper will make them feel on top of the world.

Her manner of control is different and more subtle than other yanderes.

She won't try to lock her beloved away or separate them of their family and friends. That's not her way.

Pepper wants her beloved to have a successful career and be at the top of their field. She'll push them into dedicating themselves to it and help with the politics attached.

She wants them to dress nicely and before they notice, their entire wardrobe was carefully chose by her.

She likes the good things of life and wants to share them with her s/o. Travels, restaurants, events, they'll be the happiest, most envied couple.

She wants the whole powerful bussiness couple.

Life with Pepper is hardworking, but enjoyable and just feels perfect.

Before her s/o notices, every important decision in their lives will be actually taken by her, with reasonable, persuasive words. But that's just how couples work, right?

Her s/o will never know they're in a gilded cage, instead they'll think themselves the luckiest person alive to find a partner like her. She won't ever let them know how they got there.

Dark! Ivar Ragnarsson x reader. Random headcanons.

Having Ivar's love is a double edged sword.

From all the Ragnarsons, he's undoubtedly the one most likely to stick in a committed relationship, but once he settles, it's for life. For good or ill.

He's a dedicated husband. Loves to spoil his beloved and makes sure to let them know he loves them. Would raid the ends of the earth and devastate entire cities if it meant keeping them safely by his side.

But on the other hand, he's quick to anger and even quicker to get jealous. His mind is on 101% every waking hour and he over thinks every little detail, being fast to jump into conclusions that might, or might not, be far from the truth.

His lifelong insecurities and constant humiliation resulted from his condition left him with wounds as painful as his legs that are way too deep to ever fully heal.

So there's always those lingering thoughts his beloved will want to leave him or that they'll want a whole man to be with.

Given that, simple gestures and looks that would otherwise pass unnoticed or dismissed for other people, stay in his mind and sooner or later he'll act on them.

He'll confront his beloved in what he perceived to be their fault. It's his way to give them a chance to prove their loyalty.

A confrontation with Ivar is one of the most terrifying experiences one can have. He's higly unpredictable, caustic and prone to get into the worst conclusions. His beloved better have the gift of persuasion to get rid of Ivar's doubts.

When Ivar gets in one of his lower moods he circles from being sad, angry, scornful, vengeful and back again. In what can be in a span of hours or months. It's better to try to reason with him before he reaches the vengeful stage. He won't stop until he ended whatever or whomever triggered his sadness. And this includes everyone, even his beloved.

All that said, Ivar tends to be willfully blind and even forgiving of his lover's shortcomings, if said shortcomings don't cross the very clear lines he has. He'll first blame others before blaming them. It's something that his beloved can use to their advantage, should they have a manipulative streak (looking at you Freydis).

He's unapologetically possessive of his lover, he'll let everyone know that. Sharing his lover with anyone else is simply said a non existent possibility.

Ivar craves attention and praise from his lover. It can get tiresome and demanding at times, but his lover will have to put up with it, else he starts overthinking if they don't.

He doesn't do well with sharing their attention for too long either.

On the bright side, Ivar is the most tender to his beloved. He treats them not only as if they're royalty, but as if they're they're the better part of his life. And he tells them that.

His honest tender words and touches are for them. His love and loyalty are theirs.
