Honey, don't follow me; I'm jumping ships and fandoms without any loyalty :') And !!! 18+ WARNING !!! It does get graphic. Find something you like and want to talk bout? Feel free to stop by and say hi! Also, i post my art sometimes :)
You are the only writer of abuser!Caramon AUs who understands Tanis. Often he is written as the one person who tries to protect Raistlin or look into things; meanwhile canon Tanis was disappointed that Caramon respected (well, I wouldn't say he respected it per se since he "shrugged", but he didn't press) Raistlin's refusal of help and asked Sturm Why Does Caramon Put Up With That, and that's just one moment in the beginning of the first book (but oh boy is it a prominent one) and in general his attitude towards Raistlin is "oh that fucking Raistlin" and "I don't know if I can't trust him. Why? Who the fuck cares. Fuck Raistlin"
I admit Tanis is probably my least favourite character, so I never end up showing him in a good light lol. I do believe if anyone would stand up for Raistlin, I think it would be Sturm. He still hates Raistlin, but I think his moral code would demand he put a stop to the abuse. Tanis doesn't have the morals or the balls to do that.

You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.
By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.
I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?
This is what happened when a fanfic site is profit driven. Wattpad sucks 😞
The email from Wattpad is so condescending imagine pressuring writers to update and work while they are doing it for free and fun. Also the discovery? Algorithm? Of Wattpad looks like a stressful popularity contest 😑
my favorite scene in LotR as a kid was when Sam started miserably freestyling in the tower of Cirith Ungol and the only reason he ever found Frodo was because he deliriously tried to join in
