So Anna is a glass child. Like canonically. Their parents were so focused on helping Elsa that she spent most of her childhood alone.
Like during the holiday special thing, Elsa says that after they closed the gates, they were never together. The whole ‘do you want to build a snowman’ song, Anna is singing to Elsa, each little gag a testament to her loneliness. After the accident, Anna isn’t shown with her parents. Elsa is shown with her parents after the accident.
She still loves her parents but I wish she had the slightest bit of a resentment towards them. They didn’t need to keep her so isolated, for so long. If they were going to focus all of their energy towards Elsa, couldn’t they sent her to a boarding school or something? So at least she wouldn’t be so alone?
Random thought because I unironically get frozen edits.
Nothing gives the same kind of random ego boost like managing to finally clean up your home and making it nice. Like ooh look at me, I'm living like people do, I made myself iced tea and I am eating my snack from a real plate. I got floors and shit.
okay americans i gotta ask because as an European i grew up with lots of american shows and cartoons and in a lot of them there was an episode where they give the protags a doll or an egg or a bag of flour or whatever and told them pretend to be its parents or something
John Singer Sargent (American, 1856-1925) • Portrait of Louise Pomeroy Inches • 1887 • Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
Evening Dress • Unidentified Maker • American • Silk velvet with silk plain weave lining
How wonderful that such a well-preserved dress exists to enliven a famous portrait painting! This dress is one of my favorites for a couple of reasons – firstly, I love velvet and this silk velvet is the real deal – gorgeous. Secondly, I've seen the portrait many time at the MFA in Boston. The dress I saw in a glass case at the blockbuster Fashioned by Sargent exhibition also at the MFA.
I've read that Louise Inches was expecting her third child when she sat for this portrait and that the dress had been designed to accommodate extra panels as her figure expanded. She and Sargent got on well. Both were music lovers and accomplished musicians.
I called out of work for the first time (for tomorrow), and I know I did everything right in terms of calling out procedures, but my brain is scared that I somehow did something wrong? Also that it will look REAL SUS because they literally just saw me a couple hours ago at the staff meeting and I was fine and not violently ill then 😭
Plus it's Friday and we're always so busy on Friday and other people took leave already and I feel bad 😭
