I do find it hilarious that because the first three victors perfectly went into the sun, star, and moon categories, the others are also being squeezed into it.

So it's like!

Sun! Star! Moon!

Martyn? Uh........Mars? No, no comet. Earth. No Mars-

OKAY WE ALSO KNOW SCAR RIGHT.

And people simultaneously say Earth, Mercury, Comet, Eclipse, and Pluto.

It just does not fit and that's okay

So I've seen a lot of debates on the winners title, and thought I'd bring up my own two cents on it. Will be under the cut:

I see so many people saying Scar should be mercury, but here is my reasoning as to why it SHOULDNT be mercury:

So everyone knows Mercury is associated with Hermes, God of trade and trickery, but there's something I don't see being brought up: Hermes is also one who guides the dead to the underworld. Not to mention his many winged motif items [winged sandals, winged cape, winged helmet, etc] I just personally feel like Mercury, and therefore Hermes, is more suited for Jimmy than it is Scar.

I personally like earth and Eclipse for the same reasons everyone else says, I just don't agree with mercury..

Congrats to scar! Thire. Im sad Jimmy's gift of prophecy via hunger games simulator didnt happen this time this was a well deserved win for Scar.

Now comes to.. what are we going to call him? I know everyone wants to do a space theme but..honestly can I propose the Sunflower? Outside his skin and grian being the Sun I don't have much logic to it.. if you want to continue the space theme then what about Mercury, Earth, or Pluto?

Edit: I've seen eclipse show up once and a while and..I think I'm actually all for that? Like, I could agree personally with earth or eclipse.

I see a lot of people who seem to misunderstand what the canary curse is. Jimmy has never been the first person to lose a life. He's never been the first person to turn red. The canary curse has always been the sole distinction of the first person completely eliminated from the game.

Martyn has been reckless and horrendously unlucky this season. But in 3rd Life Scar was the first person to lose a life and first person to turn red, and he came in 2nd place! (Everyone ignores Grian saying "we can consider this a dual victory." Technically Scar won.)

Personally, I think we're going to see an attitude toward red lives that is similar to how it was in 3rd Life: no one wants to end a red life's series too early, so yellows and greens will be gentle and overly forgiving. However, Double Life was only six weeks long, with some people (*cough* ranchers) being eliminated in session 5. It's totally plausible that someone's series could end next week.

The way I see it, the canary curse is proceeding right on schedule.

So going of winners.. I know it's still too early to determine but.. are we sticking with a space theme to go with sun, stars, moon, and Mars or are we doing a new theme for a new group of four?

Don't get me wrong if Gem wins I'm all for calling her The Void due to her opening the End but..what if Jimmy breaks his curse and wins? Or Joel wins per the predicted hunger games? Or a past winner? Or someone new? What then would they be? I can't see Jimmy being called anything but The Canary but that obviously doesn't match a space theme.

Does anyone else assign certain kinds of loot to the different bg3 companions? For example, I have made Gale the potions and scrolls guy, Astarion the shiny things and tipped arrows guy, Karlach carries all the weapons we're going to sell, etc. I'm just curious to know if anyone else does this or if I am just neurodivergent about it

My personal headcanon for Ash Ketchum has always been that regardless of if his dream ever came true he'd never truly stop traveling and learning. Because despite "becoming a pokemon master" being his goal if you actually sit down and watch like Any episode of Pokemon the thing that always holds true is his curiosity and desire to learn everything he possibly can related to pokemon. And he'll try anything to! He did contests and the battle frontier. He'd do those silly little shows with Serena if they'd let him.

So I like to imagine him continuing on in life as this nomad who people don't automatically recognize as anyone important ya know? Just this goofy guy going from place to place always lending a helping hand and hes got a cute lil pikachu on him. And hes often lost somewhere with a friend just exploring the woods to see if he'll find anything cool. Ya know, as hes always been, but older now. And its only once hes drifted once more do you maybe stumble into an article on the pokeweb about him and are like... that guy??
