jaw tensed ,  hands rested on his own hips as he huffed out an annoyed breath .  typical .  he was left with the nutter .  with a brief shake of his head and a couple impatient steps forward ,  he physically spun the other around .  facing her in the opposite direction from his desk , and with a mock supportive pat on her shoulder ,  he bleakly added with a half smirk , “ you’re welcome . ”  and now with that sorted ,  he retreated back into his workspace .

          Though there was no resistance against the forced movement ,  there was certainly confusion .  After the shoulder pat and a few moments of staring at a random part of the police station ,  some irritation emerged as well .  " Um— , "  she started ,  deciding to stay where the man had moved her .  Then ,  a two-second pause .  Hands slithered into her coat pockets .  " You're a detective ,  yes ? "  She remembered the nameplate on his desk when arriving .  " Detective Gavin Reed ? "

          L . E . D .  FLICKERED AMBER  as he finished his question ,  lingering for a few thoughtful seconds before vanishing into soft blue once again .  She was tempted to answer ,  only because it'd been so long since someone had asked ,  and Saturn was sure it would be longer until someone asked again .  But instead of giving the detective an explanation ,  she exhaled a gentle sigh .  Saturn slid a hand into her coat pocket while the other rubbed at the back of her neck . 

          " Hm .  That's an interesting question . "

          It wasn't very interesting ,  actually .  It was just a question she found difficulty deciding whether to answer or not .  She had nothing against the RK800 .  It wasn't as if he was interrogating her ,  nor was he really demanding anything .  He merely asked what happened .  Yet ,  she disliked the idea of telling him .  Humans had the same aversion sometimes ,  didn't they ?  The aversion of revisiting a difficult past so that they may explain it to others .  That's why they only shared it with those they trusted . 

          At this thought ,  the farmer glanced towards Connor .  She reflected on him for a moment ,  and even instinctually scanned him as androids often do when attempting to further understand one another .  But a basic scan could tell her nothing more about him than what she already knew ,  which wasn't very much to begin with . 

          " Lots of stuff ,  you know ? "  Saturn shrugged .  She donned a mellow smile ,  trying to chase away the tense moment of her thoughts and appear more casual .

          " It's sort of complicated .  Maybe some other time . "

         THIS WAS THE WORST DECISION TO MAKE .  Perhaps it was the desperation of the situation that'd pushed Saturn to make such a bold threat ,  clearly a bluff when taking all factors into consideration .  She didn't know whether the android in front of her had a program for combat or not ,  but  SHE  certainly didn't .  The only advantage to her was the knowledge of the abandoned greenhouse building's layout .  It was where she was living ,  after all ,  which was why there was so much desperation about this in the first place .  She didn't actually want to hurt him .  She just didn't want to be forced to leave the greenhouse .

          " Me— ?  Threaten you— ? "  She was nervous. His gaze made her feel as though something in her processor might spontaneously malfunction from the intensity of the situation .  There was a long pause before she replied .  

          " Yes . "  

          By the way she slowly swayed away from him and refused to look him in the eye ,  it was clear that she wasn't interested in following through with anything violent .  However ,  she made no attempt to reverse her message .  Instead she continued with a defensive stance . 

          " Listen— I don't understand .  Seriously ,  I didn't do anything wrong . "  She didn't sound the slightest bit menacing ,  nor was there any kind of anger or frustration .  Saturn simply sounded like she wanted him to believe her .  Finally, she glanced towards him . 

          " So . . .  Like I said—  If you don't leave . . .  Um . . .  I WILL make you regret it . "

          IT TOOK MUCH LONGER THAN NECESSARY to realize this was a question directed toward her .  Of course ,  it must've been .  There was nobody but them ,  hidden in that dark part of Detroit where much of the surrounding area looked eerie and dilapidated .  She herself had just finished a complicated escape away from an unfortunately displeased group of very aggressive assailants only to receive another visitor of the completely opposite disposition .  It was definitely something she still needed to get used to ,  being asked such a question in such a sympathetic manner .  As she leaned against the brick wall beside them ,  Saturn adjusted the lapels of her coat ,  smeared with spots of blue . 

          " No , "  was her simple ,  slightly awkward response .  " I just had a rough day . "

          Currently ,  what she was struggling with wasn't the fact that she'd just been jumped by a bunch of humans ,  nor was it the presence of this android of a clearly newer model type she had never even seen before .  Saturn merely struggled now with what to do next .  Introduce herself ?  Ask him questions ?  Leave ? 

          " Thanks . "  she somehow found herself saying the word before she finished listing her options .  Yes ,  obviously she needed to thank him for asking in the first place .  It was still a caring gesture ,  she recognized ,  or perhaps just a curious one ,  but nevertheless it was a non-hostile interest in her and that was something that she always enjoyed .

          " Sorry—  for the disturbance . "

          THIS TUNE SOUNDED FAMILIAR ,  and the android understood its meaning quickly .  It was the promise of freedom in exchange for trust .  The decision should have been simple ,  considering her current situation .  Yet ,  Saturn paused ,  unable to formulate an immediate response .  She ran through her memory banks ,  searched the few scenarios that were similar to this one ,  and analyzed their conclusions .  Then ,  she did it once more . 

          When Saturn scanned the individual before her ,  she was surprised to find her data extremely encrypted .  More confusing ,  however ,  was the addition of a pair of familiar items already saved in memory :  a symbol and a set of coordinates .  It was usually a welcoming sight .  However ,  when attached to the face of a human ,  it suddenly sparked something intense to shudder throughout her framework and caused her L . E . D . to flick yellow momentarily .  A quick diagnostic revealed that it might have been dread .

          This wasn't something a human was suppose to have .  RIGHT ?  This information was suppose to be secret ,  wasn’t it ?  So ,  why is it here now ,  with this human ?  It didn't help that the android was unable to decrypt her data .  To at least have some idea of who this was .  Saturn's expression betrayed nothing to the operations of her whirring thoughts .  She stood there ,  with five seconds having gone by ,  and blinked a few times as she cleared her processor .

          " And go where ? "  She asked with a tilt of her head .  Her tone held no hostility ,  but it hinted at a passive doubt .  Saturn looked away for a moment and reached up to rub the back of her neck .  It was a slow ,  almost sluggish kind of movement .  Then she looked back to her visitor .

          " Perhaps I’ll stay here for now . "

He can’t help the snort of amusement that escapes him. “Some fucking bucket list.” He shakes his head and relaxes with the gun still in hand, but not pointed at her anymore. “You’ve got some shitty luck to have picked my goddamn car of all cars to steal from.” He tilts his head curiously, mockingly, “Tell me. Did you think this through at all?”

   This guy was kind of full of himself, wasn’t he? Difficult to please, she was sure. Perhaps a stick or two up is ass. The real epitome of bad cop, huh? But perhaps it was too much to ask for an encounter with a good cop.     Saturn had almost been done attaching the poor wheel to this guy’s car, tightening a few bolts to make sure it wouldn’t come off. Though, perhaps it would be funnier if the wheel flew off in the middle of his drive to work. But Saturn wasn’t one to cause harm in that way, it was only ever in good fun.

“Sure I did!” she exclaimed. “Take the wheel, leave, put the wheel back on.” As she finished her work, Saturn stood up and brush her hands together. “Wasn’t much thought needed than that.” “How’s it look, officer?”
