WTDWxAHIT Crossover Lore
Before you read I suggest checking out my fanifc Until I Found You as it's needed to understand this crossover! You can read it over on @crackshipparadise or on AO3!
So the past few days I've been working on a HUGE lore drop for a potential crossover with Welcome to Dreamworld and A Hat in Time. I was having fun with Until I Found You till my brain one day decided to add more A Hat in Time Characters to the lore.
So Here You GO!!
So AHIT is more into a modern AU! So many characters are humanized (for the most part), no aliens, etc.
Lucas/Snatcher and Vanessa knew of the Founder Trio and Wiatt during their time growing up. Vanessa is one of Sara's bullies (who survived the incident) and bullied her from day one till graduation. Vanessa also bullied Lewis, Oliver and even Wiatt.
How Vanessa survived what happened in the woods is still debatable to me. Either her mother prevented her from going with the trio or she was sick from school.
Lucas/Snatcher was best friends with Oliver growing up. Oliver became friends with Vanessa, but she didn't like him. When Oliver became friends with Lewis and Sara Vanessa gave him an ultimatum either be friends with Sara and Lewis and loose Lucas forever, or leave the duo and continue being friends with Lucas. Oliver chose Sara and Lewis, and Vanessa made sure Lucas and Oliver stopped being friends. It worked!
Sara and Artemis/Moonjumper have met growing up. WON'T SAY because I plan on touching that in UIF.
Vanessa does have regrets over how she treated Sara, but Sara has no signs of forgiving her. Heck even Wiatt and Oliver don't forgive her.
Hayley/Hat Kid and Bow (don't have a full name for her) become best friends with Carly, Ben and Liz. The five basically cause chaos and it's wholesome!
Hayley/Hat Kid is the adoptive daughter of Lucas and Vanessa. Bow isn't adopted yet, but she will be soon
That's all for now!

Until I Found You Chap. 9- You Love Her Don't ya?
Here is the next chapter! Let’s get some wholesomeness going on!
But before we start I do have something I want to share. Offscreen I’ve been building a crossover world with WTDW and A Hat In Time and sharing it with friends. It got me thinking after Until I Found You, I could share my ideas with all of you because I have lore and friendships planned with the AHIT characters and WTDW cast. Some I’ll share are Snatcher and Queen Vanessa with the Founder Trio plus Hat Kid with Carly, Ben, and Liz.
Like I said it won’t be until after Until I Found You! It won’t be for a while since WTDW is on my brain and I got new stories for this series.
BIG thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader!!!
Enjoy!
Artemis woke up with a groan, he lifted his head rubbing it. His brain slowly started to wake up, reminding him of everything that happened last night.
He was about to go to sleep but got a call from Sara who was crying thanks to a nightmare. He got there quickly and was in shock seeing Sara crying and hugging him, begging him not to leave her.
Artemis wasn’t sure how long they stayed like that, but at some point, Sara fell back asleep and he carried her back to bed and ended up sleeping beside her the whole night. Luckily, no more nightmares occurred.
Speaking of Sara.
Turning to his left, he saw his friend still asleep but saw her frowning as tears stained her face.
Artemis wasn’t sure if she had another nightmare, a bit tame than what she experienced before she called him over, however, he hated seeing her sad. Without thinking he leaned in and kissed her on top of her forehead, and just like magic a small smile appeared on her face.
Artemis sighed and gave a smile. He turned over to the clock and saw it was 6:30 in the morning. Seeing it was a bit early, he decided to go back to sleep holding Sara close to him.
KNOCK! KNOCK!
Artemis groaned as he woke up to some knocking. He turned and looked at the clock again to see it was 7:45 am. The knocking continued and Artemis got up from the bed, deciding to see who it was.
Luckily, Sara was still asleep, so before he left he ruffled her hair a bit. “I’ll be back.” He whispered, before leaving the room.
Artemis went to the door to hear knocking again, and then a voice. “Sara! Are you awake?” The voice asked.
The voice didn’t sound familiar to Artemis so he looked at the peephole and saw a person with dark skin, dark brown eyes, and messy dark hair with two white streaks that framed their face with a purple beanie over it. They also wore a blue outfit, a brown skirt, and a green teardrop necklace.
The person sighed and took out their phone to call Sara and wake her up.
Wanting Sara to sleep more, Artemis answered the door.
The person slowly hung up the phone seeing Artemis answer and was confused. “S-Sorry. I thought this was Sara’s appointment.” They apologized.
“I-It is! I’m Artemis Blaze. A friend of Sara’s.” Artemis introduced.
“O-Oh! I didn’t know Sara had other friends. I’m Celio Klein. I was Sara’s caretaker.” Celio introduced.
“I didn't know Sara had a caretaker.” Then again Sara barely mentioned her past or anything about her family during their time together.
“And she didn’t tell me about you,” Celio replied. “May I come in?”
“S-Sure.”
Artemis stepped back as Celio came inside. “So how long have you and Sara been friends?” They asked me to put their bag down and sit on the couch.
“O-Oh a few weeks. She’s a very sweet girl.” Artemis explained, closing the door. I mean there’s a lot of things I wanna say about her, but… he thought to himself, slightly blushing.
“She is,” Celio replied. “And where did you two meet? Do you work at Dreamworld, or were you a former classmate of hers?”
“Well…crazy story.” Artemis started. He wasn’t sure how Sara’s caretaker was gonna react to how he and Sara met. Though if anything he’s sure Sara told them about how they met. “You see-“
A groan cut Artemis off, as Sara came from her room, groggy. “Artemis, who are you talking to?” She asked. She saw her caretaker had come over and was talking to Artemis. “C-Celio!”
“Sara! Good morning!” Celio exclaimed.
“G-Good morning,” Sara replied, stuttering a bit. “What brings you here?”
“What?” Celio asked. “Am I not allowed to visit my kid?”
Sara chuckled and hugged her caretaker, who hugged her back.
“Anyways, I’m here because I decided to take the day off and spend time with you,” Celio explained. “You said, you wish we could spend time with each other, but because of our jobs it was hard.”
Sara’s eyes widened remembering she once claimed to them about this. “Oh yeah. I forgot.” She replied with a chuckle.
Celio smiled, “Well I’ll let you get ready first, and if you want you can bring your boyfriend with you.” They explained.
Artemis and Sara blushed in embarrassment. They looked at each other before looking at Celio, “W-wait a minute Celio! H-He and I aren’t dating!” Sara exclaimed. At least not yet, she thought to herself.
“Y-Yeah! We’re just friends!” Artemis exclaimed. I mean I think we’re more than just friends. He thought to himself.
“Sure,” Celio replied, smirking.
Sara blushed harder as she put her hands to her face to hide her embarrassment. “I’m gonna get ready.” She said, dashing off to her room to get dressed.
Celio chuckled in response, while Artemis groaned, hiding the blush from his face.
Up in her room, Sara changed out of her pajamas and wore her usual pink outfit she wore to work every day. As she was getting dressed, she noticed something on her ankle. She looked down and her eyes widened seeing a gash almost like a string wrapped around it.
Silently, she was panicking. “Oh no! No. No.” She whispered. “How could this happen?” She asked herself.
Did he show up?
Was this from Moonjumper? Or him?
Sara took a couple of deep breaths to calm herself, telling herself that she was fine and he couldn’t hurt her anymore. She put on her socks, and shoes covering the wound. It wasn’t bleeding so no one would notice. She then grabbed her bag and left her bedroom.
“Okay. I’m ready.” Sara said.
Celio smiled and stood up, “All alright.” They said, but before the two could leave, they looked at Artemis. “Want to join us?”
“Uh…sure,” Artemis replied, he got up and followed the girls out the door. As they walked, Artemis held Sara’s hand, which caused her to look up and smile at him. Artemis smiled back and the two went into Celio’s car to head for breakfast.
Celio took them to a diner they frequently visit and that Sara used to go to when she was growing up. It was a nice place and Sara chatted with Artemis about coming here almost every week with Celio.
Breakfast was fine between the three of them, it was needed for Sara as it cleared her mind from the nightmare and the injury on her ankle. However, just as the bill came, Artemis decided to pay for the meal, which surprised Celio and Sara.
“Oh, you didn’t have to do that for us, Artemis. I could’ve done it.” Sara said.
“Hey, you gave me free tickets and showed my niece a great time at Dreamworld.” Artemis stated, “At least let me return the favor.”
“O-Okay,” Sara replied, blushing a bit.
Artemis smiled and put his card on top of the bill, while Sara smiled lovingly at him. Her gaze then moved to her caretaker’s who just gave a smug look. Sara quickly removed the loving smile and just stuck with a simple smile.
“Thank you for that,” Sara said.
“Anytime,” Artemis replied. “So you have work today?”
Sara thought she didn’t feel like coming to work after the night she had. It wasn’t the weekend yet, so… “Nah, I’m just gonna relax at home today.”
“Alright. You need it.” Artemis said.
Sara smiled and decided to step out and call Lewis to remind him she would not be coming in today.
Once she was gone, Celio saw Artemis looking at Sara lovingly. “You love her don’t you?” They asked.
Artemis’s eyes widen seeing the therapist give a smug smile at him. “W-What! Nah! W-we’re friends!” He exclaimed, stuttering a bit. However, Celio’s smug smile never escaped them, which caused Artemis to sigh in defeat. He turned to see Sara was outside talking on the phone, he had time to confess to her caretaker. “Okay, I love her, a lot.”
Celio chuckled, happy that someone loved the child they took care of.
“She’s amazing! Very smart, ambitious, her pink and yellow streaks remind me of flowers blooming in spring.” Artemis sighed at the thought of his crush, “Actually, I loved her for a long time.” Artemis admitted.
“A long time?” Celio asked.
Artemis nodded. “You see, I’ve known Sara since-”
“Hey! I got the day off!” Sara exclaimed, coming by to the table. “So what were you two talking about?”
“Uh…well…” Artemis stuttered.
“He was just telling me about how good friends you two have become, and that he’s glad to have met someone like you,” Celio explained, covering for Artemis.
“O-Oh,” Sara replied. She looked at Artemis who just hid the blush from his face. She smiled and giggled. “I’m glad I met someone like him too.”
Artemis looked up, his entire face as red as a tomato. Sara giggled seeing his face, which made him red even more. However, he secretly loved it when she giggled.
It was at that point, that Artemis had an idea! He was gonna give Sara a gift!

Until I Found You Chap. 8-Spirits and Nightmares
The next chapter is here! I’m excited because we get some lore, and…
Well, you just have to wait and see.
Thanks to @gigilefache for beta reading!
Enjoy!
It was early in the morning, hours before the facility opened for the day. The founders, Wiatt and Eric, were going through Cryptic books and websites to find any information about the Moonjumper. Sadly there wasn’t anything anywhere about Moonjumper, leaving everyone in a dead end and tired.
“Sara, we looked through all my books and most of the websites. There’s nothing about this Moonjumper anywhere.” Wiatt complained.
Sara closed one of the books she was reading and grabbed another book. “There’s gotta be something, maybe not the same creature, but if there’s a creature with similarities to Moonjumper it’s the best lead we got!” Sara explained.
Wiatt groaned, rolled his eyes, and kept on reading.
Sara groaned and found nothing of use in the other book she picked up, and went to check on Eric and Lewis who were using the computer.
“Eric, Lewis, any luck?” Sara asked.
The two shook their heads, “sorry darling. Nothing online says anything about the creature you saw.” Lewis replied.
Sara sighed and was about to ask Oliver, but saw he was asleep. She knew Oliver never liked waking up early and would fall asleep when he felt like it. However, this was important and she needed his help.
Gently, Sara shook her friend, “Oliver?” She whispered.
“Gah!” Oliver exclaimed, waking up. He looked around only to see it was Sara who woke him up. “Oh, hi Sara.”
“Sorry I woke you up, but I just wanted to know if you got anything?” She asked.
Oliver sighed, “well, I might’ve found something.” He said.
Sara’s eyes widened hearing Oliver got a break in the case. The rest of the guys stopped and went over to Oliver. “What is it?” She asked.
“There was an old European legend over 300 years ago about this creature…” Oliver explained as he clicked on the page and Sara’s eyes widened.
The picture showed what appeared to be Moonjumper in the woods using his red strings to lead people to him.
“That’s him.” She whispered. “That’s him!”
“That’s Moonjumper?” Wiatt asked.
Sara nodded in reply.
“Darling, how did you find it?” Lewis asked.
“I looked up myths and legends around the world and decided to look outside of the US. Then I found it!” Oliver explained.
“Well, what does it say?” Eric asked.
“Apparently Moonjumper is an old legend. The story goes that he appears only to those who are lost and becomes friends with them before leading them to a world somewhere between ours and the spirit world.” Oliver read.
Sara kept looking at the photo and with what Oliver read. It made sense to why Moonjumper befriended her.
“So is he dangerous?” Wiatt asked. “Because if he is, that means Sara is dealing with something that could harm us again!”
“He’s not dangerous!” Sara yelled. “I mean he was nice and sweet to me, and didn't harm me at all.”
“Well…” Oliver spoke up. “In the old legends, there’s many stories about his puppet strings. Similar to Litho he can control his victims. Some sources say he uses them to lead his victims to the Horizon.”
Wiatt groaned, “Oh great! How many dangerous Puppeteers are you gonna deal with Sara!?” Wiatt yelled.
“Stop calling him dangerous!” Sara yelled back, shoving Wiatt.
Eric and Lewis got up and held Sara and Wiatt, respectively, back before the two got into a physical fight.
“Guys. Guys calm down!” Eric yelled, reassuring the two.
“Oh I’ll calm down when Sara fucking admits she’s putting all of us in danger again!” Wiatt yelled.
“How many times am I going to say it, he’s not dangerous!” Sara repeated, yelling.
“How do you know? You said the same thing about Litho and he almost destroyed the world!”
Sara growled and was ready to pounce on Wiatt, but Eric grabbed her before she could lay a finger on him.
Lewis pulled Wiatt back and tried to ease his boyfriend. “Darling, relax!” He yelled.
“Yeah, you two fighting is going to get us nowhere!” Eric agreed.
Wiatt and Sara growled at one another, causing Lewis and Eric to hold the two tighter. One loose grip and the two would beat each other up until they were bloody pulps.
A knock was suddenly heard and everyone turned toward the door. Eric loosened his grip on Sara, but she didn’t attack Wiatt, she just stared at the door.
Another knock was heard. Wiatt released himself from Lewis and opened the door.
“What’s going on!” Artemis exclaimed, running in. To his surprise, he saw everyone relaxed. “I-I thought I heard yelling.”
“We were just talking, that's all.” Sara replied.
Artemis sighed. He then set his sights to the computer. “I see you guys got into the Moonjumper story.” He said.
Sara’s eyes widened. “Wait, you know about him?” She asked.
Artemis nodded, though Sara saw he was a bit uncomfortable. “Um, could I talk about it with you, alone?” He asked.
“Sure.” Sara replied as the two of them left.
Once they were gone, Wiatt was about to follow them, but was stopped by Lewis. “Darling, where are you going?” He asked.
“Don’t you wanna eavesdrop on the conversation?” Wiatt asked.
Lewis sighed, “Let’s leave them be for now.” He said.
Wiatt sighed, Sara was the one who brought Moonjumper up and her new friend knew about this creature too. He wanted to know more about this because to him, Sara was putting everyone in danger again.
Artemis took Sara outside the facility to a local park. With how early it was, there was no one in sight. The two sat on a hillside overlooking a small pond.
“So, tell me? How do you know about Moonjumper?” Sara asked.
Artemis sighed and had to think of his choice of words before answering. “Well, you might think of me as crazy after this, but my family is…cursed.” He explained.
Sara raised an eyebrow, “cursed?” She asked, giving a chuckle.
“Yeah. Um…my great, great, great, great grandfather on my dad’s side messed with the paranormal when he was young and my family ended up cursed.” Artemis explained.
“Well, that sounds great.” Sara said, sarcastically.
Artemis chuckled, “well it wasn’t. He befriended Moonjumper and the rest of the spirits, and ended up betraying him.”
“How?”
“Sara, this event happened so long ago, and unlike today no one was big on demons, ghosts, or the paranormal.”
Sara was hit with realization and realized what Artemis’s ancestor did. “Makes sense.”
“Yeah, Moonjumper was angry so a curse was planted on my family.” Artemis explained. He looked down and pulled his knees close to his chest,  “I could be living a normal life one second, and soon an unexplained scenario happens and it all goes crumbling down.”
Sara sighed, she realized she and Artemis were the same. Both had, or in Artemis’s case his own family member, messed with demons and had to pay the price.
She wasn’t even sure if she should tell Artemis her scenario with demons. At least no one died or almost died at the hands of it.
“Though, what got you interested in researching Moonjumper?” Artemis asked.
“O-Oh.” Sara replied. “Well, last night he appeared to me and took me home.”
Artemis’s eyes widened as he looked up at his friend. “D-Did he hurt you?”
“N-No! He didn’t!” Sara exclaimed. “He did…kiss me though.”
Artemis blushed, and hid his face and groaned. “I told you he ruins things for me!” He yelled, his muffled being covered.
“He didn’t hurt me like you said!” Sara reassured him.
“I know, it’s just I don’t want him in the way of my life!” Artemis exclaimed.
Sara froze. He and I are the same, She thought to herself. “S-Sorry. I didn’t know.”
Artemis sighed, lifted up his face and turned towards Sara. “It’s okay. I guess you think I’m crazy now.”
“Nah, I don’t think you're crazy.” Sara said. “I’ve seen it, and what you’ve told me. That isn’t crazy.”
Artemis chuckled and smiled. “I’m glad.” He said, putting his arm around Sara.
Sara slightly blushed and smiled. However, inside she knew she had to tell Artemis the truth about her past demons. Right now she nuzzled into the hug enjoying this tender moment together.
After sitting comfortably for a while, Artemis and Sara got up and started to walk back to Dreamworld. “So, is Moonjumper good or bad?” Sara asked.
Artemis thought for a second before giving his answer, “mischievous is how I put it. He doesn’t mean harm.” He explained.
Sara chuckled, “well that’s relief! Now I can reassure Wiatt that we’re not in danger!” She exclaimed.
Artemis laughed, “he’s that scared of spirits?” He asked.
“N-No he’s not. Just…a lot of us at Dreamworld are a bit uncomfortable with bad spirits.” Sara explained, not looking her friend in the eyes.
Artemis frowned, “you don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.” He said.
“No. I do want to tell you. Just-“
“It’s a lot to take in if you told me?” Artemis asked, cutting Sara off.
“Y-Yeah.” She replied with a nod.
“That’s fine. Just when you're ready to talk about it, I’m here to listen.”
Sara gave a small smile, “thank you.”
Artemis smiled as the two made it back to Dreamworld Entertainment.
The rest of the day was uneventful, with it being a normal day of work and fun.
At night in her apartment, Sara was sleeping but she constantly shifted in her sleep, looking distressed.
Sara was alone walking through a destroyed Dreamworld Entertainment. She gulped as she walked further into the workplace she long since achieved.
“L-Lewis! Eric!” Sara called out.
No answer, just rubble falling off of what’s left of the facility.
“Wiatt! Oliver! Anyone!” Sara called out again.
She kept walking until the lights turned on, showing Artemis. Sara gave a smile seeing someone she trusted was there as she ran towards him.
“Why did you do it?” Artemis asked in a low growl.
Sara froze confused. “W-What?” She asked.
Artemis walked over, and Sara felt frightened seeing him glare at her. “Why did you kill innocent people?” He asked.
“I-I-“ Sara stuttered trying to find the words, but she couldn’t.
“I what?! Are you crazy?! Mad?! What kind of person are you!” Artemis yelled, taking a step towards her.
Sara felt tears in her eyes, as Artemis backed her into a corner. “I-I-I didn’t mean to! No one was supposed to get hurt! I regret it! I’m sorry!” She yelled.
“I’m sorry?” Artemis asked. “You think this whole thing deserves a “I’m sorry?”
Sara whimpered, as she sank down to the ground.
Artemis glared with a scoff, “your pathetic. A mistake. I should’ve let you DIE from those robbers!”
Each word made Sara’s heart break.
Each word, Sara let out a sob.
Blue puppet strings started to wrap around Sara’s arms and legs before slamming her to the ground.
It felt painful, almost real.
She felt bloody hands on top of her, and she turned seeing it was the corpses of her friends dragging her away.
“I hope you enjoy Hell, Sara Covetman.” Artemis said, before turning away from her, and walking away.
“N-No! Artemis! You don’t understand! Come back! Let me explain!” Sara screamed, but the corpses of her friends kept dragging her away into the shadows. “L-Let go of me! I’m sorry!” Sara removed the corpses off of her, but the puppet strings held her back, choking her.
“Artemis! Help me!” Sara yelled. Soon the corpses dragged her into the shadows as red eyes looked down at her.
“NO!” Sara screamed as she fell out of bed. She breathed heavily as she looked around seeing she was safe in her room, not at the facility, no dead friends, no…Litho.
Her heart pounded rapidly, almost like at any moment it would break through her chest. She breathed heavily as tears slowly appeared in her eyes. Quickie, she grabbed her phone and called Artemis.
“Pick up. Pick up.” Sara begged, as the tears started to fall from her eyes.
“S-Sara?” Artemis asked on the other line of the phone.
“A-Artemis.” Sara stuttered.
 “A-Are you ok?” He asked. “Y-You sound scared?”
Sara let out a cry, trying to speak to her friend over the phone. “I-I had a nightmare. I-I don’t want to be alone right now.”
Artemis’s eyes widened and on his end of the phone sounded like he opened the door ready to leave. “I-I’ll be right over!” He exclaimed before hanging up.
Sara looked at her phone and breathed heavily. She waited as tears fell from her eyes. It scared her because that could happen once Artemis finds out about her past, and he’d leave her.
She thought once she ended her contract with Litho things would be better, her friends have forgiven her, heck people like Wiatt and Damien forgave her. However, she knew some people didn’t, and it scared her that her past will come back to light and she’d be seen as a monster.
A knock was heard and Sara quickly ran and opened the door, not bothering to look to see who it was. She stood frozen seeing Artemis. The latter looked horrified seeing Sara crying.
“A-Are you-“ Artemis was cut off as Sara tackled him into a hug. He fell to the ground as Sara sobbed into his chest.
“D-Don’t leave me. Don’t leave me.” Sara begged in between sobs.
Artemis glanced at Sara and hugged her tight. “I-I won’t.” He said. “I won’t.”
Sara cried, holding Artemis as tight as she could. “I-It was horrible, y-you,” she couldn’t explain the dream as the memories of it still played in her head.
Artemis shushed Sara and rubbed her back. “You don’t have to explain. I’m here now. I’m here.” He whispered.

Until I Found You Chap. 7-Your Name is Moonjumper??
I’m excited to share this chapter! This chapter has been in my head for weeks since I planned it! I quickly had to work on this story before working on any other fanfictions, which I was doing until my brain said, "Work on this one before anything else" or “Why not both?!”
Also, give big thanks to @bittybattybunny for the drawing they made for me! Go check out their stories! She writes really good fanfictions and is an amazing artist!!!
Give a big thanks to @gigilefache and @mun-auroralore for being my beta readers!
Enjoy!
Sara slowly opened her eyes-and quickly gasped upon noticing that she wasn’t on the ground, but flying in the air.
“W-What?!” She exclaimed, confused as to why she was flying.  She looked up-and felt her heart drop when she noticed a ghost carrying her with his puppet strings. She tried to remove the strings from her hand, but couldn’t.
“H-Hey! What are you doing? Put me down!” Sara yelled.
The ghost looked down, causing Sara to shiver as she saw his mask. They took her up onto a rooftop so no one else could see them.
Once she was on her feet, Sara struggled to get the strings off her-but the ghost went ahead and removed them from her. After the strings were removed, She was able to meet the ghost face-to-face.
He wore a red regal outfit, a crescent moon-shaped mask, and had blue hair.
Sara stepped back-but saw she was on top of a roof and yelp.
“W-Why did you bring me up here?” she asked.
The ghost titled his head, confused. He floated closer to Sara.
She realized she couldn’t step back any further and was terrified.
“Don’t come any closer!” she cried.
The ghost froze. He looked hurt by Sara being so upset.
“I told myself: No more ghosts, no more entities, and no more supernatural crap!” Sara cried.
The ghost tried to reach out to her-but she slapped his hand away.
“Go away!” Sara screamed, turning away as she started to cry.
The ghost stood there for a while; he didn’t do anything other than watch her cry. He felt bad, and decided to leave her alone for a bit.
Before the ghost could leave, Sara took a glance and saw him floating away from her. Once she was calm, she brushed the tears from her eyes, and slowly went over to the ghost.
“Hey, sorry I snapped like that,” she said, calmly. “I just had a bad experience with ghosts and entities, especially those with puppet strings.”
The ghost turned to her, then looked at his hands, before frowning.
“It’s not your fault,” Sara reassured him. “You don’t know me.”
The ghost’s eyes widened. He looked like he was trying to speak, but he couldn’t.
If I speak, she’ll know who I am, he thought to himself.
As Sara stared at the ghost she realized he looked different than many of the entities she’d met in her life.
“You act different than many of the entities in my life,” she stated.
The ghost tilted his head in confusion, mouthing the words, “How so?”
“Well…” she started, “for starters, you're not that creepy-and two, you don’t talk.”
The ghost frowned and tried to talk-but he shook his head.
“I’m guessing you can, but you don’t want to,” Sara ventured.
The ghost’s eyes widened as he nodded with a smile.
“So, do you have a name?” she asked.
The ghost nodded. He opened his mouth ready to say his name, but held back. He thought for a bit-and snapped his fingers when an idea came to mind. He then used his fingers, showing Sara he had two words in his name.
It then came to Sara that the ghost was doing charades to help her guess his name.
“Okay, your name is two words,” She realized.
The ghost nodded and pointed at the sky.
She looked up and tried to guess what the ghost's name was. “Is it Sky?”
The ghost shook his head and pointed at the sky again.
“Star?” She guessed again.
The ghost sighed and decided to point at the moon this time, hoping to help her.
“Oh, Moon! Your name is Moon?” Sara answered.
Moon nodded in reply. However, he motioned his name had two words and had to act out word number two. However, Moon was stuck, as the movement to part of his name had to involve legs.
He was going to try though; it shouldn’t be too hard, right?
Moon made movements to look like jumping up and down-but without legs, it looked like he was stretching.
Sara thought hard, because she wasn’t sure if it was Moonstrech or Moonjump. “Is it Moonjumper?” she guessed.
Moonjumper’s eyes sparkled with stars as he smiled and nodded. He flew and hugged Sara tight as she guessed his name.
“Okay! You're a friendly ghost,” she said as Moonjumper nuzzled her. “Not gonna treat me like a puppet, or make deals with me?”
Moonjumper’s eyes widen in horror as he let go of her. He shook his head, denying he’d do anything to harm her. He then pointed at her, as if asking if that happened to her.
Sara nodded. “It’s a long story. If I tell you, you’ll hate me,” she stated.
Moonjumper frowned and put a hand on her shoulder.
She looked at him and sighed. “I know you want me to bring it up, but I’m just not ready yet.”
Moonjumper nodded and hugged her, understanding that he wouldn’t force it out of her.
“Thank you,” She said.
Moonjumper gave a wide smile to say, “You're welcome.”
“Now,” Sara sighed as she tried to find a way down, “I’d like to go home, please.”
Moonjumper smiled and pointed at his hand, wanting to use his strings to take her home.
Sara’s eyes widened as she felt nervous. She hated the feeling of having the strings around her hands again.
Before she could react, Moonjumper put his strings around her torso and lifted her off the roof, setting her down gently on the ground below. Once safely on the ground, he removed the strings from her.
“Oh! T-Thank you,” Sara said, slightly blushing.
She then started walking-but Moonjumper was right behind her.
“Making sure I’m okay, huh?” Sara asked.
Moonjumper nodded, giving a snicker. He waited a bit before surprising her by lifting her with his strings and putting her down again.
She turned and saw him chuckling, which made her smirk.
“Really funny, huh?” she asked.
He smirked back as he rolled his eyes. When he looked back, he saw Sara was gone, and got worried as he flew off looking for her. When he turned a corner and didn’t see Sara, and it scared him.
Moonjumper then felt a tap on his shoulder, which caused him to jump. He turned and saw it was Sara.
She chuckled at her little joke, which caused the ghost to smile and blush at the girl.
“Gotcha,” Sara said.
Moonjumper smirked and sighed; he couldn’t top a prank like that.
The two kept on walking back to Sara’s apartment. On the way there, he picked up a red carnation from a closed flower shop and held it close so Sara couldn’t see.
“Well, here we are,” Sara said. “Thank you for keeping an eye on me.”
He smiled as if saying, “No problem.”
He then handed her the carnation-which surprised her.
“O-Oh thank you,” Sara said, taking the flower. “Wow, it's beautiful.” She smiled.
Like you, He thought.
Without thinking, Moonjumper leaned in and kissed her on the cheek.
Her cheeks flushed, eyes wide as she turned toward the ghost.
Tumblr media
The ghost got embarrassed, and quickly flew away in the blink of an eye.
Sara stood there in shock, feeling the spot Moonjumper kissed her.
~~~~~~~~~
“I’m telling you, Wiatt, it was weird! You have to have something about what I was with tonight!” Sara exclaimed.
Once she went inside her apartment, she decided to call Wiatt, as he was the expert on mysterious creatures.
“Sara,” Wiatt groaned on the other line, “I don’t know why you couldn’t wait until tomorrow morning. I’m exhausted from today.”
“I-I just need to know if this ghost was something you knew of,” She explained.
“Look, I'll bring in my books about weird ghosts and creatures to work tomorrow. Right now I need to sleep,” Wiatt reassured.
Before Sara could reply she heard the phone hang up, causing her to get frustrated. She collapsed on her bed and tried to go through her contacts to find someone else she could talk to-but soon saw Artemis was calling her.
Quickly she answered. “H-Hello!” she exclaimed.
“Hey Sara, you made it home okay?” Artemis asked.
“Y-Yeah. I walked with a friend,” She answered.
It was a lie; she walked with a mysterious ghost-but she wasn’t going to tell Artemis about that.
“Oh, that’s good,” Artemis replied
Now, it was Sara’s turn to ask questions.
“Is everything okay?” Sara asked.
“Y-Yeah!” Artemis answered though it sounded a bit nervous.
“You sure, you sound a bit nervous?”
“I am. Positive!”
Sara frowned. She knew Artemis was keeping something from her. She could relate.
“Well, alright. If anything is wrong let me know, okay?” Sara reminded him.
“Okay,” Artemis replied. “Sleep well.”
“You too. Night.”
They both hung up for the night.
With a sigh, Sara collapsed on her bed and looked up at her ceiling. She was too tired to call anyone else, and decided to wait until morning and see if Wiatt or anyone could give her info on Moonjumper.
Until I Found You Chap. 6-Love Advice
Here is more of my lovely crackship! It’s a pretty short chapter, but I hope you enjoy it!
Thanks to @gigilefache for beta reading!
Enjoy!
The sun had set outside, and Artemis knew it was time to take Hayley home for the night. She was already tired and was trying her best to stay awake.
“She looks knocked out,” Sara commented.
Artemis chuckled as he picked up his niece, ready to go home for the night, “We probably should get going.” He said.
“Wait,” Artemis stopped as Sara gave him an envelope, “before you go, here are your tickets for the event,” Sara said.
Artemis took the envelope and looked up at Sara. “W-Wow thank you.” He said, surprised.
“The workers always get two extra tickets for any events we hold here,” Sara explained. “Figured having you and Hayley as my plus two.”
Artemis smiled, blushing a bit. “Again, thank you.” He replied.
“Anytime,” Sara responded.
The two stood there awkwardly blushing, trying to find out what to say to each other next. “Well, see you later I guess,” Artemis said, leaving the facility.
“Y-Yeah! See you around I guess!” Sara exclaimed. Once he was gone, Sara was finally able to breathe and quickly rushed to her office.
As she ran, she realized she was falling in love with Artemis. It wasn’t just a friendship, it now morphed into a small crush.
Once inside her office, Sara sat down to relax. She looked at the intercom and called Lewis over, hoping he could give her advice.
“Lewis, could I see you in my office?” Sara asked. She waited for a response from her friend, but soon the intercom turned on.
“It will be a while, Sara! I have to help Starlight with this play!” Lewis exclaimed.
Sara groaned. She tapped her fingers on her desk and had to think of who she could talk to.
Maybe Mike or Alyssa?
Sara sighed, she forgot Mike was off and Alyssa left already. She could talk to Oliver, but she forgot the two of them were both awkward with their respective crushes. She was left with no other choice.
“Wiatt, could you come to my office!” Sara called out. She waited for a bit, and soon a knock was heard at the door. “Come in!”
The door opened, revealing Wiatt. “You wanted to see me?” He asked.
“Yeah,” Sara answered.
Wiatt closed the door and slowly walked over to Sara. “Might I ask why?”
Sara felt nervous, wondering if this was a bad idea to talk to Wiatt. He never trusted her in the beginning so why now is she asking for his help? “I-I just need to ask…” her voice trailed off.
“Ask what?”
“Uh…how did you feel when you were crushing on Lewis?” Sara asked.
Then it hit Wiatt on why Sara asked that question. “Normally I ask why, but seeing how the last few days have been playing out... You have a crush on Artemis.” He explained.
Sara groaned. She was right, this was a bad idea!
Wiatt chuckled, “Sara, it can be seen from space! You like this guy!” He exclaimed.
“Okay! So what if I do?” She snapped. “Yes I like him, but he sees me as a friend, and I see him as more than that!” Tears were appearing in her eyes now, “I want to tell him how I feel, but what if he rejects me? And what if he finds out about my past, everything and he sees me as some monster!”
Wiatt was silent at this point. Sara only vented to Lewis and Oliver, and at times Eric, but with him, she always kept a cool demeanor or she would snap and tell him to leave her alone and that it was none of his business.
Heck, Wiatt couldn’t come up with a comeback or a joke. He knew what Sara was going through was what he went through with Lewis.
Sara sniffled and wiped the tears from her eyes, “I’m scared Wiatt. I don’t want to be hurt again.”
Wiatt sighed, giving Sara some time to let out. He sat down in the chair across from her desk. “Sara, I know we don’t see eye to eye, but what you're feeling is valid.”
Sara turned to Wiatt and sat down in her chair.
“To answer your earlier question. I felt that way with Lewis. Remember?” Wiatt asked.
Sara nodded, “you were in mine and Lewis’s freshman Math and English class. You guys got close, and then at the beginning of the sophomore year you two started dating.” She explained.
“Right, but I was in the middle of transition when I first met Lewis,” Wiatt admitted. “I was scared Lewis wouldn’t like me, and I cried nonstop. However, when I finally confessed it felt like everything I worried about was for nothing.”
Sara smiled, tears still glistening in her eyes. “Well, you were a distraction.”
Wiatt chuckled, “anyways. Artemis likes you, a lot!” He exclaimed. “Plus I don’t think you have to worry about losing him, his niece is gonna make sure of that.”
Sara chuckled, “Hayley is sweet. Sneaky, but sweet.” She explained.
“Oh, tell me about it. While you were having your meeting, she was talking with Masquerade and then I saw him go into the Employee’s only area.”
“So she’s been sending the animatronics over to spy on us now,” Sara said.
“Pretty much!” Wiatt explained.
Sara smiled, feeling better, “Anything else?” She asked.
“Don’t get too creepy, like stalker creepy,” Wiatt added.
Sara frowned at hearing that. She was not that crazy.
“Plus, don’t rush on things. Give it time, you’ll know when you're ready.”
“How so?” Sara asked, raising an eyebrow.
“You’ll just know. When you feel those sparks and ready to let out everything. That’s when you drop how much you love him and want to be with him.”
“Thanks, Wiatt,” Sara said.
“Anytime,” Wiatt replied.
“Well, you're good to go,” Sara said. Wiatt was about to stand up and leave, but Sara stopped him once again, “And please don’t tell Lewis and Oliver about our chat. I'd rather not have Lewis say it to my face that we’re becoming friends.”
Wiatt chuckled, “Don’t worry your secret's safe with me. Unless it becomes obvious the next time he comes.” He explained before closing the door.
Sara chuckled, rolling her eyes. “Idiot.” She whispered.
Wiatt was heading back to finish up the decorations only to see Oliver and Lewis talking. The latter saw his boyfriend and smiled running to him. “Hey Wiatt.”
Wiatt smiled and hugged his boyfriend back before kissing him on the cheek. Lewis blushed and chuckled.
“So did Sara confess she liked Artemis?” Lewis asked.
Wiatt’s eyes widened, “H-How did you know?” He asked.
“Darling, Oliver, and I are Sara’s best friends. We know everything about each other.” Lewis explained.
“P-Plus I overheard some of the conversation,” Oliver confessed.
“And the fact that she’s been spending time with him, even during work hours,” Lewis added.
“And she sees him like how Lewis sees you and how I see Damien.” Oliver finished,
Wiatt was in shock, “Wow, you three are best friends for life.”
“Exactly!” Lewis and Oliver exclaimed at the same time.
“Anyways, don’t tell anyone else. I don’t want Sara to think I told you guys.” Wiatt said.
“Darling, everyone at the facility knows about Sara’s crush. It’s obvious from space!” Lewis exclaimed.
Wiatt had nothing to say but smiled knowing he kept Sara’s promise. It was just her not keeping her crush too well of a secret.
By nighttime, Dreamworld had closed and the founders decided to head home for the night. Sara decided to walk home again for the night as she felt safer recently.
While Sara was walking, she had an odd feeling in her gut that someone was behind her. She quickly turned around, but saw no one and shrugged it off.
The figure was hiding in a corner and sighed before continuing to follow the young girl. The closer he got his red puppet strings came out, and they were heading towards Sara.
In the corner of her eye, Sara saw the red puppet strings, and before she could scream the strings wrapped around her.
Until I Found You Chap. 5
((Posting the entire story like this now instead of links! If you wanna read chapters 1-4 click here!!!))
Happy New Years!!
Here is more of my lovely crackship for you all to start off the new year!
So, I did see the prologue and Episode 1 for WTDW Season 2 and I had to change a few ideas that focused around Norman.  I won’t say till we introduce him, physically, but yeah how I portrayed him in Chapter 2 would have to be re-written or explained in a future chapter.
All I can say is, Sara is living the trope of a protagonist falling in love with a childhood friend (Norman) and the mysterious/bad boy (Artemis/Moonjumper).
Big thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader!
Enjoy!
On Friday afternoon, Artemis parked in front of Dreamworld Entertainment and smiled looking at his niece in the backseat. “Well Hayley, we’re here!” Artemis announced.
Hayley had brown hair tied into a ponytail with a yellow ribbon, blue eyes, and wore a yellow and white jacket over a purple t-shirt, black jeans, and brown sneakers. She smiled looking at the window and quickly got out of the car.
“I can’t believe I’m finally going to Dreamworld!” Artemis’s niece beamed in excitement.
Artemis chuckled as he got out of the car, but before he could take a hold of his niece’s hand, Hayley bolted inside the facility.
Inside, Wiatt was setting up Halloween decorations when suddenly the door bolted open and he ended up losing his balance, only to hang onto the decorations for dear life.
Artemis soon followed after his niece, ignoring Wiatt who was struggling not to fall to his death. “Hayley, don’t run off like that!” He yelled.
“Sorry, Uncle Artie!” Hayley replied, giggling.
“H-Hey! A little help!” Wiatt called out.
Artemis and Hayley turned to see Wiatt hanging on to a banner for dear life. “How’s it hanging, Wiatt?” Artemis asked.
Wiatt glared, however, as much as he wanted to curse at him, he saw that Artemis had a kid. “Ha, ha, very funny.” He replied. He tried to use his feet to get on the ladder again, but it was too far away from him.
Hayley saw Wiatt needed help and went over to drag the ladder to him. Feeling his foot touch the ladder, Wiatt was able to steady himself using the banner and wall as a balance.
“Thank you.” Wiatt said, giving a sigh.
“You’re welcome!” Hayley replied.
“Waitt, meet my niece, Hayley.” Artemis said.
“Hi there!” Hayley beamed waving to the mechanic.
Wiatt gave a light chuckle and waved back, “hi.” He replied.
“Wiatt, do you know if Sara is in today?” Artemis asked.
“She is! She's in a meeting with Lewis and Oliver, so I wouldn’t bother them right now.” Wiatt replied as he continued setting up the decorations.
Artemis and Hayley looked at each other before giving a smug smile. “Okay. Come on Hayley, let's go see my friend.”
Wiatt’s eyes widened seeing Artemis and Hayley walking towards the Employee Only entrance.
“W-Wait! Hold on!” Wiatt yelled. “I said you can’t bother them right now!” He groaned seeing Artemis nearing the door and not listening to him.
Just before Artemis opened the door, the founder trio opened it themselves, having been done with their meeting, and wanting to check on the workers and guests at the facility. Sara froze in shock seeing Artemis was here, earlier as usual.
“Oh! Y-You’re here.” Sara said, stuttering a bit.
“As I promised.” Artemis replied with a smile.
Sara smiled back and looked at Hayley, “is this your niece?” She asked.
Artemis nodded, “this is Hayley. Hayley, this is my friend, Sara.”
“Nice to meet you, Miss Sara!” Hayley beamed.
Sara chuckled, “She’s so cute!” She commented.
Hayley giggled, “thank you.” She replied.
Sara and Artemis giggled and smiled at each other. Seeing the two wanted to talk alone, Lewis decided to speak up.
“If it's okay with you, darling, may Oliver and I show Hayley around the facility?” Lewis asked.
“Oh! O-Of course.” Artemis smiled, giving a slight blush. Sara was the same, nodding as well.
“Y-Yeah, uh… Artemis come with me.” Sara stuttered as she took his hand. The two looked down and pulled their hands away, blushing harder.
Hayley’s eyes widened as she gave a smug smile. “Ooooh.” She commented. The adults turned towards the kid as Artemis gave a nervous chuckle. He quickly left with Sara to her office for alone time.
Hayley chuckled seeing her uncle in love as Lewis and Oliver began to give the young girl a tour.
Once at Sara’s office, Artemis and Sara breathed in relief as they were able to escape the embarrassment. “Sorry about that. Hayley has a unique personality.” Artemis said.
“It’s fine.” Sara reassured him. “She’s very sweet.”
“She is. It’s funny how she went from a shy little girl to someone open, quirky, and silly as she calls it.” Artemis explained.
Sara giggled in reply.
Artemis sat down and smiled staring into Sara’s eyes. “So… getting ready for Halloween?” He asked.
Sara sighed, “well, sorta…” she replied.
Artemis frowned, “what’s wrong?” He asked. “You work at an entertainment facility! It’s got to be fun!”
“It is. Every month Lewis, Oliver and I come up with ideas for what fun events should take place here. Lewis and Oliver decided to hold a Halloween masquerade ball.” Sara explained.
“That sounds fun!” Artemis exclaimed, but saw Sara was still sad. “Uh, you look bothered, is anything wrong?”
“Well…” Sara paused before taking a deep breath. “I’m not mad about the event, it’s just that Lewis wants this to be a masquerade ball and I’m not good at dancing.” She admitted.
Artemis gave a light chuckle, “that’s not true, everyone knows how to dance!” He exclaimed.
“Not me!” Sara exclaimed. She paused knowing it was a little lie, “W-Well I know how to dance, but like line dancing and just having fun, not ballroom dancing.”
Artemis gave a smug smile and put his hand on Sara’s shoulder. “Well look no further, because I can teach you.” He revealed.
Sara blushed and looked at Artemis in shock. As much as she would love some dance lessons, the thought of it feeling like it’s a fairytale made her blush again.
“N-No that’s fine!” Sara stuttered, turning away to hide her blush.
“You sure?” Artemis asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Y-Yeah!” Sara replied.
Artemis smirked and sighed, “alright I won’t push it.”
Sara sighed and smiled, “thanks.”
Artemis smiled, but he still wasn’t done teasing his friend yet. “So, if you're not into ballroom dancing, what about dresses?” He asked.
Sara groaned as she slammed her head on the desk. “Don’t get me started.” She muffled.
Artemis gave a chuckle, hearing dresses clearly weren’t Sara’s thing. He then looked at the photos on Sara’s desk, and saw one of a young man with blonde hair with his arm around her. “Hey, Sara.”
“What?” Sara asked, her face still covered.
“Who is this handsome man with you?” He asked.
Sara looked up and her eyes widened seeing Artemis looking at the photo of her and Norman. “Oh!” She exclaimed. “That’s Norman, he’s…an old friend.”
“An old boyfriend or just a friend?” Artemis questioned.
“Friend, but he always saw me as his girlfriend.” Sara replied.
Artemis understood, and put the photo down. He was about to ask, but Sara interrupted him.
“We didn’t date. He just had a crush on me, that's all.” Sara explained.
Artemis gave a sigh, but he had one more awkward question to ask. “So do you see me as a friend?” He asked.
Sara felt the blush coming back, as anxiety ran through her. “W-Well! I-I mean we just met so…y-yeah.” Sara stuttered.
That’s your response Sara! You're stupid! Of course you want to see him more as a friend!  Sara thought to herself.
Artemis smiled, “I’m glad. I see you as a friend too.” He replied.
Sara smiled, that’s a relief. I guess. Glad I didn’t say I love him at that point, She thought to herself.
I think I played it safe by calling her friend. Artemis thought to himself.
What the two didn’t know was Masquerade was watching their conversation. He rolled his eyes before leaving the employee’s only area.
Meanwhile, Hayley was playing some arcade games at  the Arcadescape after her tour. While she played, Mimic and Melody were watching the young girl as Masquerade came by checking on his siblings.
“So how are you enjoying your time here, Hayley?” Masquerade asked.
“It’s great! I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time now!” Hayley beamed.
“Masquerade, Hayley is amazing at this game! She’s about to beat Ben’s high score!” Mimic beamed.
Hayley smiled proudly. She then looked around to make sure no one was listening. “So what did my Uncle talk about with Sara?” She whispered to Masquerade.
Masquerade sighed, “Sara talked about the Halloween masquerade ball, your uncle asked if she sees him as a friend and she said yes, and your uncle replied he sees her as a friend too.” He listed.
Hayley groaned in frustration. “Not again. He’s always like this, he finds someone, says they're friends, and then the person they crushed on gets married to someone else!”
Mimic chuckled, “wow you really want your uncle to not be lonely!” He beamed.
“It’s not that. I can sense feelings a mile away, and I can sense my love meters are going strong!” Hayley beamed. She then saw the “Employee’s only door and smirked, “I just have to break the ice.” Hayley said.
The triplets smirked and decided to help Hayley with her mission. With everyone distracted the triplets went to the Employee’s Only door and ushered Hayley in. Once inside the triplets took Hayley to where Sara and Artemis are located.
“In here.” Mimic said. The triplets and Hayley looked through the door and saw Sara and Artemis talking and laughing with each other.
Hayley chuckled, “I knew it.” She said.
“You can sense it from here?” Mimic asked.
Hayley nodded, “I told you, I can sense it!” She exclaimed as she made beeping noises.
The triplets giggled, enjoying Hayley’s personality. However, their giggling stopped as they froze in fear.
Behind them, was Sara and Artemis crossing their arms seeing the kids sneaking into the employee’s only area.
Hayley stopped laughing and turned around, shocked. She then gave a sheepish smile and chuckle seeing they’ve been caught.
“H-Hi Uncle Artemis.” Hayley sheepishly said.
Artemis sighed and rolled his eyes as he carried his niece, which made her giggle. “I’m so sorry, my niece here loves to be sneaky! It happens a lot!” He explained.
Sara chuckled, “it’s fine. My co-workers bring their kids and their siblings here.” She explained, reassuring him.
Artemis smiled, but not before looking down to see Hayley giving him a smug smile. He gave a nervous chuckle, “w-well you must be hungry! C-Come on let’s get something to eat!”
“Well we got food here. I’ll treat you guys.” Sara said.
“Are you sure?” Artemis asked.
Sara nodded, “you got those books for me, it’s the least I can do.”
Artemis smiled, “alright, but just so you know I've got to pay you back for this!”
“We’ll see.” Sara replied.
As she walked off, Artemis smiled and followed his friend out of the employee’s area. The triplets blinked and looked at each other and smiled seeing that Hayley was right, Sara was in love.
In the lobby, Artemis and Hayley sat down as Sara brought over pepperoni pizza for the three of them. “Alright, here you guys go!” Sara exclaimed.
Hayley clapped, and was ready to grab some pizza. However, Artemis stopped her, “what do we say?” He asked.
Hayley sighed, “thank you Miss Sara.” She said, politely.
Artemis smiled, “good, now you can grab a slice.” He said.
Hayley smiled and took a slice of pepperoni pizza and took a bite of it. “It’s so good!” She beamed.
“Glad you like it! It’s Oliver’s secret recipe!” Sara beamed, taking a slice of pizza for herself.
Artemis took a slice and his niece was right, it was good. “I’m guessing how the food was made was your friend’s recipes?” He asked.
“Yep, food was an afterthought, and luckily Oliver knew how to cook and we got these amazing meals!” Sara answered.
Artemis chuckled and smiled lovingly at Sara. The latter blinked and smiled too as she nervously drank her soda.
Hayley looked at her uncle and his friend, and decided to drop it on her uncle, “so, are you sure you're not my Uncle’s girlfriend?” She asked, giving a smug smile.
Sara’s eyes widened as she spit out her soda, not knowing it hit her co-worker, Hayden, who was sitting down with his other co-workers. She coughed trying to apologize for what she did, while Artemis sat down there embarrassed at what his niece just said.
“H-Hayley you don’t just drop that on someone!” Artemis yelled.
Hayley chuckled before eating more of her pizza. Artemis sighed knowing Hayley wouldn’t care.
“You okay?” Artemis asked.
“I-I’m fine!” Sara coughed, “I’m fine!”
Artemis went over to Sara and rubbed her back. She looked up and smiled.
Inside the vents, Winnie watched the whole event play out and chuckled. “Perfect.” He said, his eyes glaring at Hayley.
Fairy Forest Chap. 3- What You Need to Know About Fairies
The next chapter is up!
I worked on this chapter during a trip to Canada visiting family and friends. Mostly during the car rides or at the house we stayed at when it was quiet.
However, some side news…during traveling we went to this place with a lot of flowers and it got me ideas of what the fairy world would look like, so props to traveling for giving me the ideas needed to world-build!
Big thanks to my Betta Reader @gigilefache who is also a fan of fairies!
Enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vanessa squealed in delight as she kept snuggling on Luka. However, the latter was still in shock as this little fairy remembered him after all these years.
“It’s been forever! How have you been?” Vanessa asked.
“G-Good,” Luka replied, still shocked.
Vanessa finally let go of her friend and her expression changed from grateful to sadness. “W-Where have you been? I’ve waited for you for days! Months even! You never came back!” Vanessa cried.
Luka sighed. “I’m sorry Vanessa,” he apologized, “I did come back for a while, but I stopped coming for some reason. I just got busy with school, and…” He paused as he tried to remember why he stopped coming to see her, but something from his past kept him from remembering.
“And what?” Vanessa asked.
Luka shook his head as the memory hadn’t come back to him. “It’s nothing, all I remembered was trying to visit you when I started vacation. You didn’t show up and after that nothing,” he explained.
The fairies frowned and looked at one another, worried about Luka’s memories.
“Luka, do you remember anything?” Harriet asked.
Luka nodded. “Yeah, I do, it's just hard to talk about,” he replied.
The fairies still looked concerned, but Artemis gave a small smile as he put his hand on top of Luka’s. “It’s alright, just take your time,” he reassured the human.
Luka smiled. “Thank you,” he replied.
Artemis smiled and flew back to the crew.
“Okay, I already met some of you,” Luka started as he looked at Harriet, Brooke, and Vanessa before turning towards the other three fairies, “but I don’t know you three.”
Timmy chuckled as he did somersaults in the air. “That’s not too hard. I’m Timmy, a psychic fairy,” he said introducing himself. “I can manipulate things using my mind.”
“And I’m his mentor, Artemis. I’m a star fairy,” Artemis introduced himself.
“I’m Mu and I’m a Summer Fairy,” Mu introduced herself. “Vanessa is my sister."
"Well it's glad to finally meet you. I seem to recall Vanessa mentioning you before," Luka replied.
Mu smiled as her wings fluttered in joy.
“Just in case you need to know about us,” Brooke added, “I’m an animal fairy and I can speak to the animals.”
Harriet looked nervous, but Luka was staring at her waiting for her to reply about what kind of fairy powers she had. “Unfortunately, I don’t know what kind of power I have yet. I’m still in training,” she answered truthfully.
“You see,” Vanessa started as she flew next to her student, “it’s my duty to train her till she finds out her true power.”
“I see,” Luka replied.
Vanessa nodded before letting out a yawn still tired from her journey from the forest to here. Soon the rest of the fairies started to feel tired.
Luka chuckled. “Looks like you guys are tired.” He said.
Brooke yawned as she nodded, rubbing her eyes.
Luka got up and put two pillows and a small hand towel as a makeshift bed for the fairies. “Alright, I made you guys a makeshift bed. I’ll make something better for you later tonight.”
Tiredly, the fairies floated to the makeshift bed and one by one tucked in and shut their eyes.
Once asleep, Luka was able to grasp what was going on. He has fairies living in his house! Most people would be freaking out right about now! Plus how long will they be living with him? He hoped it wouldn’t be a distraction to his studies in college.
As Luka was still thinking about his situation, his phone started to ring. He quickly answered but not before checking on the fairies seeing they were still asleep.
Luka sighed in relief and answered the phone. “Hello.”
“Hey, Luka!”
Luka smiled, “Willow! What’s up?” He asked.
“Great! Just back from my trip and decided to call and see what you were up to.” Willow replied.
“Uh…” Luka trailed off as he stared at the sleeping fairies. His mind warned him not to mention anything about the fairies to his long-time best friend. “I just got back from college classes, and relaxed.”
Willow chuckled, “great!” She beamed. “Hey why don’t you come over for some tea and we could talk and catch up!”
Luka thought hard, but if the fairies were asleep it wouldn’t hurt for him to go visit his friend for a bit and come back. “Sure. I’ll be there soon.” He replied.
“Cool! See you then!” Willow replied before hanging up.
Luka sighed and sat there for a bit before getting up and getting undressed from the clothes he wore and changing into something a bit more comfortable.
Luka came out of his room and was ready to leave the apartment.
“Where are you going?” Harriet asked.
Luka screamed in surprise seeing the fairies had awoken. “Uh…a friend invited me to visit them. It won’t be long.” Luka told them.
“Can we come please!” Harriet begged, fluttering in front of Luka.
“S-sorry. It is best if you just stay-“ Luka was cut off seeing the fairies give him the biggest puppy dog eyes he’s ever seen. Luka groaned, “alright you can come, but please stay hidden so she doesn’t see you.”
The fairies cheered and went into Luka’s backpack. Luka sighed, “Why is this my life now!” He thought to himself.
The walk to Willow’s house wasn’t too far, but luckily no one noticed Luka’s bag making noise during the walk to Willow’s house.
Once there, the fairies quickly came out of Luka’s bag as they smelt the flowers from Willow’s house. They were also impressed with how big and beautiful Willow’s place was.
“I didn’t know your friend lived somewhere so magical!” Brooke beamed as she smelt the bluebells.
“Well, she’s a florist. She plants pretty flowers like this.” Luka answered.
“Luka! Look!” Vanessa shouted.
Luka walked towards her and saw Vanessa smelling white and lilac flowers. He then saw a smaller white flower and picked it before putting it on Vanessa’s hair.
Vanessa blushed and was nervous about giving Luka another kiss. She fluttered up to his face and wanted to kiss him, but she stopped herself.
“Thank you.” Vanessa squeaked.
“You’re welcome!” Luka replied.
“Luka!”
Luka and Vanessa looked up to see a young girl around Luka’s age with bright red hair tied into a braid, bright green eyes, and wore a light blue shirt and brown pants stained with dirt from gardening.
“Hey, Willow!” Luka beamed.
Willow smiled and waved to her friend before walking towards her best friend and hugging him.
Luka chuckled and hugged his best friend back.
“I see you bought some friends with you,” Willow said.
Luka’s eyes widened confused till he turned to see the fairies, who were also surprised that they were able to be seen as well. It came to Luka that the fairies came with him and he forgot all about it.
“Y-you can see them!” Luka exclaimed.
Willow nodded. “You can see fairies too?” She asked.
Luka nodded in reply as well.
Willow looked around and hurried Luka and the fairies inside her house to be safe.
Once inside, Willow made tea for her and Luka as well as laid out a plate of snacks for them. The fairies also got a small cup of tea as well.
“Wow! Thank you!” Harriet beamed.
“Anytime,” Willow replied. She walked back to sit down across from Luka.
Luka was taking a sip of his tea and looked up at his friend staring at him. “Everything okay?” Luka asked.
“Everything is fine, but I’m just waiting for you to tell me how you know about fairies?” Willow wondered.
Luka sighed, putting down his cup. “Well when I was young I met Vanessa in the woods and we spent time together till I continued with school, and we just stopped meeting up,” Luka explained with the memories he had.
“I see,” Willow replied.
“If you want to know,” Vanessa spoke up. “I was in trouble and Luka helped me out.”
“That explains it,” Willow replied, snapping her fingers.
“Explain what?” Luka asked.
“Fairies usually appear to children, however, if that child helps them and has a good heart they’ll be able to see fairies,” Willow explained.
Luka fully understood why he was able to see the rest of Vanessa’s friends.
However, one question remains…
“So how are you able to see them too?” Luka asked.
“Same as you, but my family has been able to see fairies since my great-great grandma built this garden,” Willow explained. “You could say it’s a family secret.”
Luka nodded understanding everything now. The two sat and drank their tea in silence.
Vanessa tried to drink her tea and looked at the two humans back and forth. She sensed something about the two being together and she didn’t like it.
Not liking the silence either and seeing the fairies might be living with him for a while. “So is there anything I should know about fairies,” Luka asked.
“A lot,” Willow replied. “To start with, you and I are the only ones who can see fairies.”
Luka sighed in relief knowing anyone else wouldn’t see the fairies.
“Also, fairies can’t be alone so they’ll have to be with you or they can stay in my garden,” Willow explained.
Luka groaned knowing he couldn’t just leave them at home. What’s the worst that could happen if he left them home while they were sleeping and just left a note?
“Alright. Anything else?” Luka asked.
“At the moment, no. I gave you the basics, but if anything happens feel free to call me and I might have info that could help you.” Willow answered.
Luka smiled. “Thanks, Willow.”
Willow smiled and the two continued drinking their tea in peace.
As they did, Vanessa felt a bit of jealousy seeing the two get all close together. Artemis took notice and a smirk appeared on his face, “oooh, looks like someone is jealous!” Artemis shouted.
Vanessa’s face turned red as her fairy friends laughed. “Artemis shut up!” She yelled.
“Come on Van! I sense it in you, you’re jealous!” Artemis teased.
“I am not!”
The fairies continued to laugh, and soon enough Willow and Luka started to laugh too.
Vanessa heard her human friend laugh and felt hurt seeing him laugh at her.
Luka took notice of her pain and stopped laughing, using his finger to pet her head for comfort.
After the nice afternoon, Luka and the fairies were making their way home. Vanessa was already calm from earlier and now was relaxing on Luka’s shoulder. During the walk home, Luka was looking through the window of the stores that were open and smiled seeing what he was looking for.
“Alright, you guys stay here real quick.” Luka said.
Vanessa removed herself from Luka as he walked into the store.
The fairies looked through the window and saw Luka buying a dollhouse and having an awkward conversation with the worker.
“Who’s this lovely dollhouse for?” The old man asked.
“My niece,” Luka lied.
The old man chuckled as Luka bought the dollhouse. The old man put the dollhouse in a pink and white polka dot bag and sent Luka on his way. Once Luka was out of the store he looked around before speaking with the fairies. “Got you guys a present.” He told them.
“What did you get us?" Mu asked.
“I saw it was a little house!” Timmy exclaimed.
“Correct!” Luka exclaimed.
When the group arrived at Luka's home, he put the dollhouse up on a shelf in his room.
“Figured since you guys will be staying here I might as well get a small doll house so you can stay in.” Luka explained.
“Can we decorate it?” Harriet asked.
Luka nodded. “Of course. Let me know so I can help.”
Harriet squealed as she chose her room that she would stay in.
Vanessa flew by and smiled at Luka. “T-thank you for all this Luka.”
“Anything for you and your friends, Vanessa.” Luka replied.
Vanessa smiled and flew into her new room.
Luka smiled and looked at the spare notebooks he had on his desk and grabbed one as well as a pen and started to write.

Fairy Forest Chap. 2-Reuniting 10 Years Later
Here is the next chapter!
This chapter took me a while despite it being not too long, however work during the week of Sept. 10th was chaotic so it took me a while to pick up this story and work on it. Luckily I was able to get it done for you all to read.
Thanks to my beta readers @gigilefache and @mun-auroralore for beta reading!
Enjoy!
~~~~~
10 years had passed since Luka and Vanessa had separated, but the young fairy hadn’t given up searching for her old friend.
Vanessa decided to travel further from the forest and search for Luka, but not unattended.
Behind her, five other fairies followed.
One of the fairies wore a purple dress covered in yellow stars, and purple shoes with stars at the top. Her hair was brown and tied into a ponytail by a yellow ribbon, and decorated with a shooting star hair clip.
“Vanessa! Wait up!” the fairy called out.
Vanessa stopped as she saw her student, Harriet, fly by. “Harriet, what are you doing here?” she asked. Vanessa looked up seeing some more of her fairy friends had also followed her. “More importantly, what are all of you doing here?”
“Well you’ve been talking about this friend of yours for years now,” a male fairy- Artemis- spoke up.
Artemis had black hair with blue highlights, sporting a crescent moon clip on his hair. He wore a pair of glasses, and a red suit akin to a prince’s uniform. Dark blue dress pants complimented his blue boots.
“And we decided to come along!” a female fairy- Brooke- chimed in.
Brooke had dark skin and curly dark brown hair tied with blue flowers. She wore a green and blue leaf dress with blue and purple flowers, and a  pair of blue boots with dark blue ribbons.
“What?!” Vanessa exclaimed. “No-no. You have to stay here. My mother will kill us.”
“Relax! Sis!” a blonde haired fairy- Mu- exclaimed.
Mu had blonde hair tied into two long pigtails with teal beads. She had yellow eyes, and wore a red and pink dress with red shoes.
“We promised that we would explore the outside world together. Remember?” Mu reminded her.
Vanessa sighed remembering the promise she made to her younger sister. “I remember,” she replied.
“So can we go?” a male fairy named Timmy asked.
Timmy had black spiky hair and purple eyes. He wore an orange shirt accompanied by brown and blue striped pants and blue shoes.
“Alright let’s go, but we better hurry,” Vanessa said.
The fairies smiled as they flew from the forest and followed Vanessa to find her friend. However, there was one tiny problem.
“Hold up, do you know where he is?” Artemis asked.
Vanessa’s eyes widened as she chuckled nervously.
Apparently, despite being friends with Luka, she never knew where he lived.
“Figures,” Harriet and Brooke said at the same time.
“H-hey! We’ll find him!” Vanessa exclaimed. “Don’t you worry.
“Okay,” Harriet replied, rolling her eyes.
The fairies decided to use the wind to guide them, flying with trust in their instinct and the elements.
Luka was now a college student and moved from his small town to the city. He hoped to study law and become a lawyer, a dream of his for a while now.
During the past couple of years, he would have dreams of being in the forest meeting with a fairy. He never understood why he had those dreams, and why it had to be fairies, but something about it clouded his mind at times.
Class had ended for the day, and Luka was leaving college, heading back to his apartment. It had been a long, rough day, and Luka figured that some rest would do him good.
Vanessa and her fairy friends had made it to the city and they were in awe at all the sights. Vanessa looked to see if anyone looked like Luka, but to her, anyone could be Luka. It had been so long after all…
During the search, Harriet locked her eyes on someone, wondering if it was indeed Vanessa's Luka.
“What does Luka look like?” Harriet asked.
Vanessa thought for a bit and snapped her fingers. “Well, he has brown hair, warm, summer colored eyes…” she listed down.
“Uh huh,” Harriet replied, keeping her eye on the person. “What else?”
Vanessa kept thinking about her friend and remembered the shirt he wore. “Oh, I remember he liked wearing red!”
“Like him?” Harriet pointed out.
Vanessa turned and saw Luka, the Luka, walking home. She flew closer and she saw from the back that this really was Luka, all grown up.
Vanessa’s eyes sparkled, happy to see him again.
“That’s him! That’s Luka!” Vanessa beamed as she flew by to get a closer look at him.
Luka was walking as he checked his phone for any messages he missed while he was in class.
Vanessa sighed as she smiled seeing her old friend again. “Luka,” she sighed.
Luka looked up and turned, but saw no one there.
“Strange. I thought someone called my name,” he said, shrugging it off and continued to walk back to his apartment.
Vanessa came out of hiding and smiled seeing her friend again. She let out a sigh as she continued to follow him.
Luka finally made it home back to his apartment. He unlocked his door and went inside, not knowing Vanessa and her fairy friends followed him.
“Ah,” Luka sighed, “finally I can get some rest.”
He collapsed on his couch and turned on the tv for background noise before falling asleep.
Vanessa and her fairy friends were in awe of Luka’s apartment. It was nice, cozy and had a great view of the city.
 “Wow, this is an amazing view!” Brooke exclaimed.
“This place ain’t half bad!” Timmy chimed in. “Way better than the forest."
Vanessa shushed her friends as she watched Luka take a nap on the couch. She smiled as she laid on the arm rest before getting rest herself.
“Sleep well,” she whispered before falling asleep.
Meanwhile, Brooke looked around and explored the house. She saw lots of photos of Luka growing up which made her smile. However, she was so preoccupied looking at photos that she bumped into a potted plant, which caused it to tilt back and forth before falling to the ground.
CRASH!
“Sorry!” Brooke exclaimed.
Luka’s eyes snapped open as he quickly got up hearing the crash. He looked around, wondering where the crash came from, and saw that the potted plant was the one that fell. Wary, Luka got up to grab a broom from the closet and started to sweep up the mess while looking around his apartment.
Brooke was hiding behind Luka, upset about breaking the plant. She tried to hold in her apologies so Luka wouldn’t take notice of her, but she couldn’t hold it in any longer.
“I’m so sorry!” Brooke cried.
Luka snapped out of it and looked around, until he looked behind him and saw the young fairy. Luka jumped back to see her, but wasn’t scared. He got a closer look.
“A-A fairy!” He exclaimed. “I-I haven’t seen one in years!”
Luka held his hand out as Brooke fluttered and landed on his hand. Using his finger, he pet Brooke which made her smile.
“Brooke!”
Luka flinched and looked up to see Mu and Harriet fly by worried for their friend.
“Are you okay?” Harriet asked.
Brooke nodded as she flew to her friends. “I’m fine,” she replied.
The two other fairies looked at Luka, who was still in shock that there were even more fairies inside his house.
“Don’t worry, he’s nice,” Brooke reassured Harriet and Mu. “Luka, right?”
Luka slowly nodded. “H-How did you know my name?” he asked.
“Vanessa told us!” Harriet chimed in. “I’m Harriet and Vanessa is my mentor!”
“V-Vanessa?” Luka asked. The name was so familiar to him, but it was hard for him to remember Vanessa’s face. “I remember Vanessa, but it’s been a long time since I saw her.”
Harriet, Bow, and Mu looked at each other wondering if this was the same Luka Vanessa was talking about on the way here. While he did have the same appearance and name, his memories of her seemed blurry.
“I-It’s okay! Just take your time. It’s been 10 years I believe,” Mu answered.
“You girls alright?”
The group looked up and saw Timmy and Artemis had come on to check up on the girls.
Luka looked up and groaned. “There’s more.”
“So you're the human Vanessa was talking about! I’m Artemis!” Artemis exclaimed. “Vanessa’s fairy friend.”
“Huh… hi,” Luka replied. He then looked at all the fairies and was shocked with how many fairies were in his apartment now. “H-how did you all get here?”
“Vanessa brought us here,” Timmy replied.
“V-Vanessa?” Luka asked, hearing the name again.
A yawn was heard.
Everyone turned to see Vanessa wake up and fly towards the group.
“Mhmm… what’s going on?” she groaned.
Vanessa’s eyes widened as she saw Luka again.
Luka felt a sense of familiarity seeing the fairy. It felt like he was meeting with an old friend he hadn’t seen in forever.
Vanessa smiled and flew closer to Luka. “Hi Luka. Do you remember me?” Vanessa asked.
Luka blinked in confusion as he got a closer look at the fairy and his eyes widened in surprise. The memories slowly came back to him in pieces, until he remembered the little fairy he met 10 years ago.
“V-Vanessa?” He answered.
Vanessa smiled. “Hi Luka!” she exclaimed as she fluttered and gave Luka a hug.
Fairy Forest Chap. 1-A Winter Fairy
Hello all!! Welcome to my newest fanfiction!!
So I had Fairy Forest Au in my backlog of AHIT AU’S and after a few months, I started to come up with ideas for this fic and now was the time for me to share this.
This specific fanfic isn’t gonna be so story-focused, except for the first couple of chapters, and would just focus on the Prince and his fairy friends having cute, angst, and just whatever topic moments.
BIG THANKS to @gigilefache for beta reading! You're the best!!
Enjoy!
It was a blissful summer day, warm sun rays beaming down as an 8-year-old boy was running up to his favorite spot in the woods to read some books. This was his summer routine since school ended.
Once getting to his favorite spot, Luka put his bag down and grabbed the book he was reading from his bag. Just seconds as he started reading Luka heard a rustle in the bushes. Luka dropped his book and waited quietly.
However, to Luka’s surprise, it wasn’t a monster or some wild animal, but a tiny fairy.
She had long blonde hair, icy blue eyes, and blue and green fairy wings. She wore a mint green dress with a light blue ribbon tied to the back, white stockings, and dark green shoes.
“A fairy!” Luka whispered. He slowly crawled closer to the fairy and saw the fairy wasn’t in the best of shape. She looked injured, tired, and a bit dehydrated. Quickly, Luka scooped the fairy into his hands and took her to a nearby river to get something to drink.
Using a nearby leaf, Luka was able to get a small scoop of water and handed it to the fairy. Weakly, the fairy opened her eyes and saw the water on the leaf. Slowly she grabbed it and took little sips of water, letting out a happy sigh.
“Thank you.” She beamed to the human.
“You’re welcome!” Luka replied. The fairy blinked and was able to flutter her wings to get a closer look at her savior. Luka was confused as the fairy scanned him from top to bottom.
“You’re a human, aren't you?” The fairy asked. Luka nodded in reply. “You do look small for a human.”
Luka chuckled. “Well, I’m only 8. Still a kid.” He explained.
“Oh!” The fairy exclaimed. “You’re a kid like me!”
Luka smiled. “I’m Luka by the way.”
“My name is Vanessa. I’m a winter fairy.” She replied, introducing herself.
“What’s a winter fairy?” Luka asked.
“Glad you asked!” Vanessa cleared her throat . “A winter fairy brings the cold and snow during winter. We’re the ones that bring the clouds and create the snowflakes. We can stay in seasons that are not winter, but not for long.”
That made sense as to why Vanessa was found weak and tired. “So why are you here? It’s the middle of summer, one of the hottest seasons.” Luka asked.
Vanessa chuckled. “Well, I wanted to leave Fairy Woods and explore what’s out there. My mother never lets me leave the forest, so I snuck out.” She explained. “However, it was horrible. I got chased by birds, and squirrels, and got caught in some branches!” Vanessa crossed her arms and gave a pout.
“So that’s why she looks all messed up.” Luka thought. He then saw Vanessa’s pouty face and tried to hold in his laugh.
Vanessa glared hearing the chuckle. “What’s so funny?” She asked.
“Your face puffs up when you pout.” Luka chuckled.
Vanessa was confused until she saw her reflection in the river and her face turned red as a tomato which made Luka laugh even harder. Vanessa glared and flew over to Luka, punching him, but it felt like being poked in the stomach making him laugh harder.
“Stop laughing at me! You meanie!” Vanessa whined, which made Luka continue to laugh.
Soon Luka started to calm down and took a couple of deep breaths. “Sorry.” He apologized.
Vanessa sighed and crossed her arms, turning away from the human child. “My mother was right, humans are mean.” She mumbled.
“Huh?” Luka asked, confused.
“Humans are mean and dangerous,” Vanessa said a bit louder.
“Not all humans. Most are really nice and caring.” Luka explained. Vanessa glanced at him before turning away. “I-I’m sorry I laughed at you. I wasn’t being mean.”
“Well, you were! You laughed at me!” Vanessa yelled.
“Only because when you pout you look cute!” Luka replied but covered his mouth calling the winter fairy cute.
Vanessa gasped, blushing again as she was called cute. “Um…Thank you.”
Luka slowly removed his hand from his mouth and started to blush too. “You’re welcome.” The two stood there wondering what they should say to each other next.
Vanessa looked around to see what she should talk about next. She then spotted Luka’s book and her brain formed an idea. “So what were you doing in the woods?” She asked.
“Reading, actually. It’s my vacation and I figured I'd catch up.”  Luka replied.
“What were you reading?”
“A story about this pegasus looking for her family,” Luka explained. Vanessa’s eyes lit up hearing the story. Luka looked into it and smiled, “If you’d like to read alongside me?”
Vanessa’s wings fluttered repeatedly as she danced in the air. “Sure!” She sang. Luka chuckled and went back to his spot as he reopened the book. Before he read he caught Vanessa up to speed on the story, where the unicorn came from and how she’s traveling with a princess to help her find her friends and family. Vanessa’s eyes widened hearing about the story as she sat on Luka’s shoulder and watched him read.
A few hours into the book, Luka almost didn't notice that the sun started to set. Vanessa let out a yawn as she tiredly floated away from Luka. The latter also saw it started to get late and closed his book and grabbed his bag. “That was fun,” Vanessa said, tiredly.
“Yep! Will I see you again tomorrow?” Luka asked.
Vanessa smiled and nodded. “I promise to show up as early as possible!” She replied.
Luka smiled. “Alright, see you tomorrow.” The two started to go the opposite directions walking home. Once they were near their homes, they both smiled knowing they made a new friend.
“I’m friends with a human.” Vanessa thought.
“I’m friends with a fairy.” Luka thought.
Throughout the rest of the summer, Luka and Vanessa spent time together in the forest. Some days they’ll be sitting under the tree as Luka reads a book he got from home and tells Vanessa everything about the story as the fairy listens.
There were times when Vanessa and Luka went on hikes in the woods. Vanessa picked flowers and handed them to Luka, which made him smile. “Thanks.” He said as Vanessa put a flower in his hair.
“You’re welcome!” Vanessa beamed.
Those days were fun, but every night after hanging out with his new fairy friend the days till school started were coming closer and closer. Luka knew he had to tell his new friend the truth soon.
By morning Luka was sitting at his favorite tree waiting for Vanessa to show up. Once he heard a giggle and the sound of bells he knew Vanessa was near, just hiding.
Vanessa smiled and landed on Luka’s head. “Found you!” She giggled.
Luka giggled. “Hey, Vanessa!”
“Ready to have fun again?” Vanessa asked.
Luka nodded. “However, before we play. I do need to tell you something.”
Vanessa saw the frown on Luka’s face. “Is it bad?” She asked.
“Well, I have to go back to school next week, and I won’t be able to play with you for a while,” Luka explained.
Vanessa looked heartbroken and sad seeing her friend was about to leave her. No, she wasn’t going to lose hope. Luka was bound to come back. Right? “B-but you’ll come back, right?” She asked.
Luka sighed. “I don’t know.” He replied. “I go to a boarding school far from here. I won’t be back till the holidays.” Vanessa frowned as she started to flutter down to the ground upset. Luka frowned and crouched down, “Hey I’m not gonna leave forever.”
“But you're leaving me,” Vanessa replied.
“Not for long! Just a couple of months!” Luka exclaimed. “I was hoping we could have the best fun day before I go back. Please.”
Vanessa glanced at Luka who looked upset and was begging for Vanessa to understand. Vanessa sighed and fluttered up to face him. “Promise me you’ll come back, okay?” She begged.
“I will. Okay!” Luka exclaimed. He then saw a yellow dandelion and picked it from the ground before handing it to Vanessa. The winter fairy looked down at the dandelion and back at Luka. She put the dandelion in her hair and smiled.
Throughout the day, the two made the most of their time together. Luka barely did any reading and just had fun exploring the forest with Vanessa. By the end of the day, Vanessa and Luka said their final goodbyes at the tree where they first met.
“Luka,” Vanessa spoke up. Luka looked up at his fairy friend. “Thank you for everything this summer.”
“No problem,” Luka replied.
Vanessa blushed nervously for a while. She wanted to say something to Luka, but she felt too nervous to tell him. Luka saw the fairy acting all nervous and felt concerned. “You okay Vanessa?” He asked.
Without thinking Vanessa flew and kissed Luka on the cheek. Luka’s face turned red as a tomato shocked that a fairy had kissed him. Embarrassment rushed through Vanessa’s mind as she flew away. “S-Sorry! Why did I do that? Why? Why!” She cried.
Luka stood there shocked as he slowly walked home holding his cheek. He wasn’t disgusted that Vanessa kissed him, but felt grateful someone liked him.
A couple of months had passed since their last meeting. At times Vanessa would fly back thinking Luka was back from school, but never saw the young boy return. She got worried he broke his promise and would fly back home in sadness.
However, she didn’t lose hope. She knew Luka would come back. Even if she had to wait months, even years or even if she found him herself; she would wait for him.
NEW AHIT AU: Forgotten Memories AU
Yesterday I was listening to anime opening and ending covers and ended up coming up with an AU based on one of them. Introducing Forgotten Memories AU.
Summary: A AHIT modern AU. Prince and Vanessa were married and had a daughter (Hat Kid), but divorced due to reasons. Vanessa decides to talk to Prince after 8 years and ends up hit by truck-kun. Prince and Hat run to the hospital but Vanessa has no memories of everything.
Things to know:
It goes from angst to wholesome-shit in seconds!!
This is a modern AU so there's no supernatural shit. Just normal humans
Might be a short story. My goal is hoping to be 10 chapters.
Ebb and Flow Chap. 18-Lore of Subcon and Sapphire
~~~~~~~
Lucas and Willow sat in the flower shop. It was a very slow day due to the rain storm that pounded on the store's window glass. Vanessa, Brooke, and Hali had been out for the day and it worried the both of them that they girls would be stranded until the rain stopped or worse they'd walk outside and get caught in their mermaid forms.
Feeling worried, Lucas went to the phone and dialed Vanessa’s number. The phone rang and he hoped, no, prayed she’d pick up a worry set in his chest. “Come on. Come on.” He whispered. Soon, the phone reached the voicemail and Lucas sighed, he wasn’t getting a hold of her. It wasn’t long after till he heard a beep from Willow’s phone, Vanessa texted her best friend.
“She said, Hali and Brooke are reading to the Kindergartners so her phone is silent so as not to interrupt the story time.” Willow explained.
Lucas sighed and smiled as he watched the rain come down. “I’m glad Hali’s adjusting to the human world. She’s in school, making friends, and now she has a job.” He explained, chuckling.
Willow smiled as she went over to her and put her hand on his shoulder. “Not only that, but she’s got an amazing older brother that’s keeping her in line,” she added. Lucas chuckled as the two watched the rain trickle, waiting on Vanessa and the girls to come home.
At the Lapis Bookstore, Vanessa sat with the parents as she watched Hali and Brooke tell the kids about fairy tales that came from the Sapphire Kingdom. Vanessa wasn’t worried about Hali and Brooke telling these stories as they were fairy tales and not true stories from the kingdom.
“And so the young catfish escaped with all of the crystal corals from the evil sea witch, and was able to bring light to the kingdom, defeating the sea witch for good.” Hali read.
“Because of her bravery and strength, the prince made the catfish the head of the guards and protector of the seas. The End!” Brooke finished.
The Kindergartners cheered as Hali and Brooke smiled and bowed. “Great story!” A little girl cheered.
“Can you read us another one?” A slightly taller little boy asked.
“Please can you read us one more?” A pair of identical twins pleaded.
The owner of the bookstore chuckled and strolled over to the kids. “Sorry children, but story time is over.”
“Aww...” The kids sighed.
“Don’t worry. We’ll be back for next week’s story time!” Hali promised. The kids cheered and ran over to their parents. The kids told their parents about the stories they read as well as saying goodbye to Hali and Brooke, some gave the girls hugs as a thank you. Vanessa stood up and smiled walking over to the girls.
The owner saw Vanessa and went over to shake her hand. “Thank you so much Miss. Greengrove. I didn’t know your family friends were such good storytellers. If it weren’t for them, the kids would’ve been disappointed that their weekly story time was canceled.”
“It’s no problem.” Vanessa replied.
“Well if you three need anything let me know. Also if there’s something here you want to buy, it's on me.” The owner told them.
“Thank you!” Hali and Brooke beamed. The owner smiled and walked back to her counter to help a few customers.
Vanessa sighed as she looked out the window to see the rain pouring down. “Well, you girls want to find some books to take back home? We can stay here till the rain dies down.”
“Okay!” Hali beamed. The two went to look for books and Vanessa did the same. She strolled over to the romance section of the bookstore to look for a good story to read on her own time. From the shelves, she found two that caught her eye. As she skimmed through, she saw two workers run in, drenched from the rain.
“Sorry we’re late.” The worker told the owner.
Vanessa sighed knowing they might be stuck here longer than usual. “You okay Vanessa?” Hali asked.
Vanessa looked down. “Yeah, just looking at the rain.” She replied. Hali looked out the window to see the rain coming down hard.
“You know this storm reminds me of how my dad would create storms when angry.” Hali explained.
Vanessa looked at the rain once more before asking Hali, “what made your dad mad that caused him to do this?”
Hali shrugged. “Could be anything; humans hunting animals, human pollution, boats staying in one place over the kingdom. Sometimes it could even be something in the kingdom itself that got him angry.” She explained.
“And do you think this rainstorm is one of them?”
Hali nodded. “I can tell it’s his storm.”
Vanessa nodded and got a bit worried that Hali’s father was creating this nasty storm not knowing his son and daughter were up on land.
“Hey guys!” Brooke yelled, catching Vanessa and Hali’s attention. “Look at this book I found!” The two walked over to Brooke and saw that she found a book with a dull teal cover. It looked to be hidden away showing dust and age.
The words were legible, and showed the words Sapphire and Subcon together. Hali and Vanessa looked at each other as they pushed away the dust to read the title and realized  that the book was about Subcon and the Sapphire Kingdom. “Brooke, where did you find this?” Hali asked.
“I was looking for more fairytales and found this in the back of the books.” Brooke explained.
Hali carefully opened the book and her eyes widened. She read through the story and let out a chuckle. “I remember this story. My grandfather told me this a long time ago.” She explained.
“What’s it about?” Vanessa asked.
“It’s how humans and merfolk were once friends.” Hali said.
Vanessa looked in shock, “I remember that tale, but everyone says it’s just a myth. A fantasy…” She explained.
Hali shook her head. “It’s not.” She turned the page showing the early settlers in Subcon meeting the merfolk. “300 years ago merfolk used to live on the beaches of Subcon. We lived peaceful lives till the humans showed up and we stayed in the bottom of the ocean for a while.” Hali turned the next page. “While at first we didn’t trust humans, a few of the settlers and our king and queen at the time had their first meeting and they made peace.”
“The peace treaty was that as long as we didn’t stay long in the far out ocean or fish for anything we were on good terms.” Vanessa added. “After that, merfolk and humans got along and we respected our differences.”
Hali smiled, but frowned as she turned the page. “However, some humans didn’t like to form bonds with mermaids and broke that promise and started to hunt in the areas, stealing treasures and kidnapping mermaids.” She explained.
“That’s when the Hurricane War started. Soon kingdoms far and wide either sided with humans or mermaids in the eye of the hurricane.” Vanessa continued.
“The war ended with no winner. There was so much death including the death of the king, and all the homes on land were destroyed. With that the peace treaty was destroyed, humans left mermaids alone and we stayed hidden from humans.” Hali finished as she closed the book.
The trio went quiet as they stared at the book. Vanessa sighed and tried to put her arms around Hali, but she hesitated touching her after the two read a serious story. “I…I know I wasn’t there, but I’m sorry for what we’ve done to your kingdom and I  understand why your dad does all this.” Vanessa said. “But after knowing you and why you and your brother are here, what do you think of the human world?”
Hali was quiet as she gave a small smile. “Honestly, things have changed since 300 years ago. Many humans forgot about us, but everyone is so nice and kind.” She explained. Hali frowned, “but that’s before knowing that I’m a mermaid.”
“But what about the people that do know? Like Mu and Timmy for instance.” Vanessa asked.
“Well… they're still friends with me.” Hali answered.
Vanessa smiled. “See, there’s people that will still care about you. Those who understand you will stay with you forever.” She explained.
Hali smiled and looked at the book once more before holding it close. “I think I know what book I want.”
Vanessa smiled and turned to see the rain started to calm down. “Looks like the storm is lighting up. Wanna start heading home?” She asked. Hali and Brooke nodded. The three bought their books and left the store.
The trio opened their umbrellas and carefully started to walk home. It didn’t take long for Brooke to trip and splash into a puddle. Vanessa and Hali turned around and saw Brooke now in her mermaid form.
“Ooops.” Brooke said.
Hali held her best friend on her back using her jacket as a towel to prevent her from turning into a mermaid too and they kept walking.
Once they were far away, Monroe appeared from the bushes with a camera and smirked, getting the proof they needed. Monroe pulled out his cellphone and called his boss. “Empress! I think I got the evidence you need.”

Ebb and Flow Chap. 17-Can't Help Falling in Love
Here is the next chapter! I try to work on and post a chapter in May in honor of Mermay. Glad I did!
This took me a while to write due to writer's block, but I was able to pull through it and get it done.
Thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader!
Enjoy!
~~~~~
The boat ride was fun and relaxing, easing the hearts and minds of everyone not long after the big reveal. Vanessa and Lucas’s fins turned back into legs and the group saw just how late it was getting, deciding to head back to shore.
“Hey, guys! How about spending the night at my place tonight?” Willow asked.
“Doesn’t sound like a bad idea.” Mu replied as she turned to her cousin, “What do you think?”
“Sounds like fun!” Timmy beamed, “though we should call our parents to let them know.” Mu nodded as the two followed the group to Willow’s house.
Once at the florist’s house, Mu and Timmy called their parents to let them know they'll be spending the night at Willow’s place with everyone else.
“Night Mom, I love you,” Mu said, finishing her phone call with her mother. Once she was done she saw Hali hand her a pair of spare pajamas for her to wear.
“For you to wear tonight,” Hali said.
Mu gave a small smile as she took the pajamas and went to the nearest bathroom to get changed. Once changed into her pajamas she was greeted by the group in their pajamas, gathered around a TV as Hali and Vanessa grabbed a bunch of snacks, laying them on the coffee table for everyone to pick through.
Timmy smiled and patted at the spot next to him. “Saved you a spot,” he said. Mu gave a small smile and sat next to him.
Willow sighed as she pulled out a box filled with DVDs filled with movies for the group to watch. “Okay, so what kinds of movies do you guys wanna see?” She asked.
The group looked at one another hoping that one of them could suggest a movie and they could just go along with it. Brooke looked at everyone before raising her hand. Everyone held their gaze on her, which made her very nervous. “M-maybe nothing scary,” Brooke replied in a low tone.
“You're in luck.” Willow sighed. “I don’t have any horror movies.” She pulled out two movies, one that featured a bunny and a bear and the other featured a princess.
Brooke sighed. “That’s good. I don’t like scary stories.” She replied. Brooke looked at the two movies and pointed at one with the princess. “That one sounds cute.”
Willow turned the DVD around and smiled. “Great choice! This was Vanessa’s and my favorite movie.” She explained.
Vanessa giggled. “We watched this 100, maybe 200 times?” She questioned, trying to remember how many watches she and Willow had sat through.
“Last I counted it was 251,” Willow replied. The girls shared a laugh as Willow put the movie on.
The movie was about the princess of flowers who was trying to find her prince that she met when she was a little girl. The story had a sad plot of a witch who erased the Prince’s memories and the princess had to journey to find a violin to bring them back.
Vanessa smiled at the movie, leaning on Lucas’s shoulder, which he replied to by blushing and smiling. He then looked to his right to see Hali had already fallen asleep. Lucas pulled the blanket closer to her as Hali smiled. He felt Vanessa tug on his sleeve as she pointed at the screen. “Oh, my favorite part is coming up.” She whispered. The duo faced the screen as the princess faced her prince with hope in her eyes as she played the violin for him.
“Remember this song, my Prince? You played this for me.” The Princess said. She started to play a soothing melody on the violin. It took a while but the Prince started to remember and smiled seeing his true love had saved him.
Lucas rarely cried, but this scene alone made his eyes tear up. He wiped his eyes and he found Vanessa and Willow sleeping together beside him. He smiled and let the girls sleep. He then saw everyone else was asleep and decided to turn off the movie for now. Maybe in the morning, they can watch the ending. Letting out a yawn, Lucas decided it was time for him to get some sleep as well. He grabbed a blanket and pulled it close to him before shutting his eyes.
A couple of hours later, Hali woke up feeling thirsty. She sheepishly arose from the couch and carefully walked to the kitchen to get herself a cup of water. As she poured water into a cup she saw Mu outside watching the waves. Seeing her friend alone Hali made a 2nd cup of water and went outside to meet with her friend.
“Hey.” Mu looked up in surprise seeing it was Hali.
“Please don’t scare me like that,” Mu replied with a sigh.
“Sorry. I was getting a cup of water and I saw you out here.” Hali explained. “Here got you one too.”
Mu took the cup from her friend’s hand, “Thanks.” She replied as she took a sip of her water. “Why are you awake?”
Hali chuckled. “I should be asking you the same thing.” She said, taking a sip of her water.
Mu sighed. “I can’t sleep. I'm scared… about the dance.” She explained.
“What are you so scared about? A dance isn’t scary.” Hali replied.
“It’s not the dance! It’s just that I have a crush on someone and I want to ask them out.” Mu admitted.
Hali’s eyes lit up hearing that. “Ooooh!” She beamed getting close to Mu’s face. “Who is the lucky guy or girl?” She asked.
Mu gulped blushing in embarrassment. “W-well they’re a friend of mine and I wanted to ask them out for a long time. I just think they don’t like me back.” She explained looking down.
Hali frowned and put her arm around her friend. “Who wouldn’t go out with a girl like you?”
“Anyone! And even if I did admit it to them they wouldn't like me back.” Mu explained.
Hali frowned and tried to think of something to help her friend. She never had experience in dating and asking her brother is out of the question as he was still asleep. Something then clicked in her mind.
“What if I help you gain the confidence to ask out your crush!” Hali suggested.
“Wait how?” Mu stuttered.
“Well, I’ll pretend to be your crush and you just tell me what you want to tell them!” Hali explained with a smile.
Mu blushed redder than a tomato. Hali didn’t know how close to the truth she was. Mu was about to deny this plan all together. “N-No it’s okay!”
“Come on Mu. You want to ask them out do you?” Hali asked.
“Well yeah, but-“ Mu was cut off by Hali.
“Then trust me on this!” Hali explained.
Mu sighed. “Alright.” She then faced Hali who was smiling at her. Mu gulped and turned away feeling embarrassed. “I can’t do this! I can’t!”
Hali put her hands on Mu’s shoulder. “It’s okay! Just take a deep breath.” Mu did what Hali said and took a deep breath. “Now breathe it out slowly.” Mu did just that and let it out slowly. “How do you feel now?”
“A little better.” Mu replied. Just to be reassured she took another deep breath. “Okay. W-would you like to go dancing with me?” She asked.
“Of course I’d love to go!” Hali exclaimed, giving Mu a hug.
Mu blinked in surprise and felt her eyes tearing up. She couldn’t hold her tears any longer. Mu let out a sob as she hugged Hali tighter. The mermaid was confused and rubbed Mu’s back to comfort her. “Why are you crying?”
Mu didn’t respond and kept on crying, If only she knew. If only she knew. Mu thought to herself as she cried.
As Hali comforted her friend there was something on the back of her mind about Mu’s crush. How she reacted when she asked her and how Mu responded when Hali said yes. She wondered if Mu liked her back, and was about to respond until she heard the tide coming in.
Mu stopped crying as she looked down and saw Hali’s legs were now fins. “Sorry this happened at the wrong time.” She said with a chuckle. Mu wiped her tears and had her back ready for Hali to ride on. The mermaid was confused again, but before she could ask a yawn escaped her mouth. Hali got on Mu’s back and smiled. “Thanks.”
“Anytime.” Mu replied. She then made it back to Willow’s place and put Hali down on the couch before tucking her in. Mu smiled and went back to her own spot and tried to fall asleep. However, she couldn’t sleep as the thoughts of her and Hali's conversation danced in her mind.
By morning, Willow and Lucas were the first to wake up and decided to make waffles for breakfast. Mu and Timmy were the next to wake up. “Morning!” Timmy yawned.
“Morning you guys!” Willow replied. “Lucas and I are almost done cooking breakfast. Why don’t you eat before you go.”
Timmy and Mu looked at each other and smiled. “Sure we can eat!” Mu replied.
Lucas smiled and put two waffles on the plates before handing it to Mu and Timmy. Willow then put down a tub of vanilla ice cream, syrup and butter for the two to put whatever they want on their waffles. Timmy had his with butter and syrup while Mu had hers with butter and ice cream. The two started to eat their waffles as Hali and Brooke walked in.
“Morning!” Brooke said with a yawn.
“Morning girls,” Willow said, “we made waffles!”
Hali and Brooke smiled and sat down as Lucas gave the girls their waffles. After Hali put butter and ice cream on hers she looked at Mu. “How did you sleep?” She asked.
“I slept okay.” Mu replied, a slight blush on her face.
Hali smiled and went to eat her waffles. It wasn’t long till Vanessa woke up and sat down as Willow put a plate of waffles in front of her. “Morning Sleeping Beauty.” Willow joked. “Here are your waffles.”
“Thanks.” Vanessa groaned. Lucas went over to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek which made her giggle.
After breakfast, Timmy and Mu walked home and the latter felt relieved to be out of the house. Timmy looked at his cousin and saw her looking down, “You okay cousin?” He asked.
“Yeah, I just told Hali my crush last night.” Mu replied.
“Oooh how did she handle it?” Timmy asked again.
Mu was quiet and rubbed her arm while looking away from her cousin. It took Timmy a second to realize that Hali was Mu’s crush. “Wait. Don’t tell me! You're crushing on Hali!” He exclaimed.
Mu squeaked and blushed red before stomping on Timmy’s foot. He let out a loud scream as he held his foot and started to hop around yelling in pain. “You tell anyone about this, especially Hali, and I will kill you!” She threatened.
“I won’t! I won’t!” Timmy yelled, promising to his cousin.
Hali looked out the window seeing Mu and Timmy in the distance. She smiled before turning away and relaxed with her brother and the others the rest of the day.
