More Asha Outfits!
She gets a Princess Transformation because I think if they were going to reference such an iconic transformation sequence at the end, she at least deserved a cute new dress! Her dress is mostly based off of Aurora’s (Make it Pink! Make it Blue!), but her hair is inspired by Snow White’s!
I also thought it would be fun to give Asha a Wreck It Ralph Princess look. She deserves to be comfy !! Since Wish is an anniversary movie, her sweatshirt references the Disney100 logo! And of course she has a little Star plushie to snuggle with!

So! I finished Asha’s reference before I saw the poll results!
Since this is the case, I’m going to put a bunch of bonus info about Asha under a cut in this post- And since Cas came in second place I’ll give star an info post before I finish stars ref ^_^
Anywho, Meet Asha Lillian Luz! An introverted, but eccentric Inventor who lives in The City of Rosas! Asha spends most of her time trying to create new things using science in order to better help her community (even if her inventions don’t typically work).
Bonus Asha Info!
• Asha had ADHD, and particularly gets very bad hyperfixations on tasks. Poor girl would prob forget to eat and sleep if it weren’t for her mother and saba.
• The invention Asha is most proud of is a wooden, mechanical baby goat that she’s named Valentino. He’s not sentient (for now >:3), but is able to follow Asha around. He’s the Pinocchio to her Geppetto, the Figment to her Dreamfinder!
• When she isn’t working on a new invention, Asha occasionally helps out in the kitchen at the Rosas Castle! The seven other teens who work there consider Asha a good friend, but she’s a bit oblivious to this at the start of the story.
• The plot starts off on Asha’s birthday instead of Sabino’s, She’s just turned 18!
• Asha is inspired by Walt Disney’s passion for progress. She represents “Tomorrow” in the story. A bright eye imagineer who longs to improve her community through innovation and technological advancement. I’ve read that Asha’s shoes were supposed to be more modern looking to represent that she is ahead of her time, but I wanted to make that more apparent.
• Asha is also inspired specifically by Leonardo da Vinci- who was both an inventor AND an artist!
• Asha’s middle name is Lillian, as a reference to Lillian Disney. Asha’s last name is Luz, which means light! It’s also a reference to Luz Noceda from The Owl House
• Asha’s father was also an inventor, as well as a philosopher who was particularly close with King Magnifico and Queen Amaya.
• Asha can play the organ, which is a reference to Captain Nemo from 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.
• Asha had a significant trait from each Disney Princess (as well as some bonus heroines) that she demonstrates throughout the story. She’s is heavily inspired particularly by Princess Sofia from Sofia The First. While she may not be physically learning lessons from the Princesses of The Past- She learns to encompass their traits in her actions. Some of the traits she starts with, but others she develops as the story goes on.
Asha’s Disney Princess Traits
Snow White: Kind Hearted.
Cinderella: Optimistic.
Alice: Curious.
Aurora: A Dreamer.
Ariel: A Collector.
Belle: Book Smart.
Jasmine: Assertive.
Pocahontas: Free Spirted.
Mulan: Ingenuity.
Tiana: Determined.
Rapunzel: A Hobbyist.
Merida: Rebellious.
Anna: Eccentric.
Elsa: Reserved.
Moana: Heroic.
Elena: Confident.
Raya: Adaptable.
Mirabel: Awkward.
(Note- I know a lot of these traits overlap between princesses! Like for example: I’m not saying that Mulan isn’t Determined because I labeled it as Tiana’s trait or that she isn’t Heroic because I labeled it as Moana’s. It’s just a matter of which princess specifically inspired which traits in Asha)

Hey all! Sorry to post something that isn’t the reference sheets again, but I’ve noticed some hate and misinfo going around and even got a snarky + hateful Anon myself (which I’ve deleted, I don’t want it being physically on my blog to drain me of my creative spirit)
But! For the sake of calming my own Paranoia I wanted to try and clear some things up!
I’ve seen folks bring up the concept art of Star being a young Sabino being thrown around as a way to frame Wish Rewriters who write Starsha as creeps. But if you read the full page, it clearly states that was ONE of MULTIPLE concepts they played around with.
Tumblr media
Theres even more concepts than just the ones mentioned above! Multiple different forms, human, not human, child, teen, adult, animal, abstract…
But most importantly for this post— There’s concept art of Star as a Peter Pan - esque character who is not related to Asha and (based off appearance) is close to her age.
Tumblr media
While the art book (from what I’ve read of it) doesn’t posit they were going to be romantic, it’s not a crime to play with that in a rewrite. It’s not morally reprehensible just because they had more than one idea for Star. And it’s certainly not fair to the artists or does justice to the concept art if you only ever drag it out to bring others down (this goes for both Canon Movie Fans AND Rewriters, of course. But I’m specifically talking about Canon Movie Fans who only bring up the Sabino Star concept art to cause drama in this instance)
Anywho, that’s all! I don’t want to spark drama, and I certainly don’t want this blog to become full of it. So don’t expect posts like this often please! I just wanted to post this to try and clear some air around the fandom a bit. Its really disheartening to see some much negativity thrown around.
Whether you like the movie, dislike the movie, prefer the concepts, hate the concepts … We’re all here because we have a passion for Wish, aren’t we? Is it not enough that we all get something wonderful out of this movie, regardless of if it was a new creative outfit or not? Is it not sort of weirdly wonderful that Wish has inspired others to create and dream and write and make art?
Remember to be kind to each other, that you don’t need a moral reason to dislike something, that the block button is not reserved for just bots and bigots, and that at the end of the day- None of the concept art is canon!
Also. If it needed to be said: If you ship incest or pedophilla, you aren’t welcome here! That’s all!

Hello again everyone! I’m still working on those references, they should be done soon! But I can barely contain my excitement to share more about this world with you all— So if this poll finished before I finish the refs ….
Whoever wins I’ll make a standalone, Reference Sheet-less post explaining their personality and symbolism and whatnot! And don’t worry, you’ll get posts like that for everyone at some point! This is just a staring point ^_^

Hey y’all! Just wanted to thank everyone for the already very positive reception toward me and AHiTS! I’m working on the refs for Asha and Cassiopeia as we speak, and I can’t wait for you all to see them! In the mean time, feel free to send me an ask if you’re curious about anything or any character (not just Asha and Cas!). I’m pretty sure they’re open? But either way, stay tuned!

Figured I should share the sketch that I’m using as my pfp currently! Currently working on proper ref pictures of these two, and a new pfp too!
Anywho, this was my first thought about how Asha and Cas meet, although I’ve done plot revisions since drawing this so it might be a bit different. I still like this little joke though! (Cassiopeia uses He/Star Pronouns !)

Hello fellow Wish rewriters! I have a question for yall
What song reminds you the most of your Star Boys?
This song always gets me thinking about Aster:
More specifically, I think of the stars above singing to him, but I’m curious if you guys have songs that make you think of your star boys, please share!

✨To all who come to this happy place — Welcome.
Hey there folks! This is a blog dedicated to my rewrite of Disney’s Wish which I call “Wish: A Home in The Stars”!
This version of Wish takes lots of inspiration from Walt Disney, the Disney Parks and the Disney Princesses & Heroines of the past!
A Home in The Stars is about Asha, a young inventor and Cassiopeia, a runaway prince. This blog will be full of an assortment of things about AHiTS before I’m ready to start working on the finished project (I’m undecided on if it’ll be a comic or fanfic).
This includes things like character references, symbolism, and if people are interested enough to send any: Asks about and/or for the characters!
So stop by, stay awhile! Here, you leave Today and enter the world of Yesterday, Tomorrow and Fantasy!
Tumblr media
Info About Me! My name is Astrid (I also go by Lucy and Honey) and my pronouns are They/Them! You can find my main blog at @hydinghoney! My main interest is classic literature, and I’m also a low key Disney Adult.
Disclaimer! This rewrite is not meant as an insult to the original film— I was just very inspired by some of the concept art and my own personal love of the Disney Princesses and Parks. So I wanted to do my own version of the concept. While the film is flawed, I think that it’s lovely that Wish did ultimately do what it set out to— Inspire Others. To Create! To Wish on Stars!
