Sure. Let’s all arm ourselves to the teeth just to go to work. Or lock ourselves up in Fort Knox work environments just so that gun hobbyists can have free reign over their guns. I am NOT advocating to take your guns away from you. How many assassinations, at the hands of someone who has been pushed over the edge, are enough?

Nothing is going to slow done killings, like this, until voters and victims’ families take action.
Every family should sue the employers for not providing a safe working environment. No one should have to work where they don’t feel safe. Clearly, right now, very very few work places are safe from gun wielding assasins.
When corporations start finding themselves in the middle of lawsuits, there will be pressure put upon the various levels of government to enact serious gun control laws with teeth.
Until that time, make sure you kiss your spouse and children every time before you go to work.

All high flyers and tax cheats eventually get caught because they have told so many lies, that they can’t keep track of who said what to whom. The paper trail never dies. Follow the money. Follow the lies. There is no honour amongst thieves.
Trump’s CFO is the weak link in the chain. It always comes down to one person who can no longer live with the consequences of what they have done.
The noose is tightening on Trump. He can hear it. He can feel it.

That Welfare Queen is a Black woman of indeterminate age who has 12 Social Security cards, mooches on benefits from four fake dead husbands and collects welfare payments under 80 bogus names while getting food stamps.
That's how Ronald Reagan described her when he introduced the character during a presidential campaign rally nearly half a century ago. Reporters investigating Reagan's 1976 Welfare Queen story concluded that it wasn't quite true. Though never mentioning a name or race, Reagan had exaggerated the abuses of an actual Black woman in Chicago.

There is a huge difference between William and Harry. In appearance Harry takes after Diana but William not so much. William is cool under pressure. Harry is not.
So Harry’s emotional make-up is like Diana’s. Should we be surprised then, that he struggled with the life of royalty?
I think not. Furthermore the British tabloids could see that and exploited it, just as they did with Diana.
At least he had the courage to get out and lead his own life.

The GOP continues to play on the emotions of the far-right of their party. They do this at their peril.
If they actually think that they can take over the lower house, let alone grow their numbers in the senate, without moderates, then they have had too much of their own Kool-Aid. Poor simple idiots.
This too shall pass, but not before the USA has at least 2 strong Democratic administrations.

This plan is absolutely the height of arrogance and greed. If the competition is one-sided, in favour of the Top 12 Super Teams, then maybe they should stop hogging all the best players. They can do this now because they are such wealthy organizations.
Put in a salary cap. It’s been done before with success.

Favre goes on to say the following:
"It's really a shame that we've come to this," Favre said via USA Today. "Something has to unify us, and I felt like the flag, standing patriotically — because Blacks and whites and Hispanics have fought for this country and died for this country. It’s too bad."
I understand his point of view but he is missing the point altogether. It’s not politics that is the problem...it is Social Injustice. Politicians and lawmakers have had over 150 years to address this issue, and yet, here we are. So I agree. Keep politics and politicians out of the mix. They don’t have the courage to do anything about it anyway.
But let courageous people speak out as they wish.

Certainly, any defendant has the right to present their case in court. Frequently, experts are used by both the prosecution and the defence.
The role of the jury is to determine the difference between fact and opinion. The role of the defence experts is to sow the seed of doubt in the jury. The defence can use any legal technique to seed doubt. Expert Opinion is one of these techniques
But the jury must remember that opinion is not fact. Follow the facts.

Before the vast majority of you Tumblers were born (1950 - 1980), the US and the USSR (ie Russia) were in a Cold War. The USA spoke of how the the USSR used propaganda to keep their citizens in a state of ignorance wrt world politics. Think of North Korea today and you will get the picture. Look it up if you don’t believe me. I lived through it, but you could and should, read about that era.
Now - imagine how surprised I am that Republicans are using that very same principle to keep US voters in a state of ignorance wrt the last election.
Stupid is as stupid does.

How could someone take such big risks, facilitated by so many banks, under the noses of regulators the world over?
Well it seems that we have learned nothing. Someone is always trying to make something out of nothing.
Bitcoin investors....are you watching???

An excellent article on mRNA development. The quick notes on it are:
1) A handful of scientists started the research 40 years ago. They failed multiple times and persevered only through private funding.
2) Big Pharma didn’t get involved until quite late in the game. Apparently, we didn’t “need” this type of technology, since drugs were easier and cheaper to make, with existing pharmacological science.
3) The mRNA technology will be the basis for many new life saving modalities in the future.
4) Donald Trump cannot take any credit for this whatsoever. 🥴
It’s a scary article, in one sense, since it demonstrates human hubris at its worst.
When someone tells you that the world wastes too much money on “basic” science research, think about this article. Then thank the true visionaries of this world, and tell politicians to “stay in their own lane”!

FACTS. ALTERNATE FACTS. OPINION. EXPERT OPINION. LIES. SPIN.
Never before, in the history of journalism, have we been subjected to so many words, to describe the same event.
We have so many news outlets today. How do we sort this all out?
The problem is, that many people do not make the effort to sort it out, simply because, wading through all the noise, is too much work.
In my teens, I remember one of my teachers saying that we should read the newspaper for the facts, and then read the Editor’s opinion to get another person’s point of view. The problem, today, is that there is so much opinion!
Just remember one thing, as you sort your way through all this...
OPINION IS NOT NEWS..OPINION IS NOT NEWS..OPINION IS NOT NEWS
