There is a Japanese legend that mentions a method to find cats that have left the house and don’t seem to come home.

The technique is to talk to the street cats in the neighbourhood as if you would talk to anyone else, and ask them about your cat, describe it, the hair tone, even tell them its name, and ask them to help you find it. Tell them how much you love your cat and how much you want it to come home.

They will communicate with each other to help your cat return home
