Hello blog! I am here to tell you about the unfortunate events that happened Saturday night. The Gamecocks lost to the Tar Heels 31-17 and as a Gamecocks fan, I was very disappointed because I felt that we had a legit chance to win this game and unfortunately that didn’t happen. UNC QB Drake Maye was the star of the night as he showed why he should be a top pick in the 2024 NFL draft. USC QB Spencer Rattler had a pretty good night considering how bad his offensive line was. He had over 350 yards passing and was 30/39 on his completions. UNC’s defense came to play though as they had 9 SACKS!!! Unbelievable. If South Carolina wants to have a successful season they have to work on the offensive line and protect their QB. I am still looking forward to the rest of the season for the Gamecocks and remain somewhat optimistic.

Hello blog! Today is a big day! College football is back and in full swing. There are a full slate of games and there has been one amazing game today so far. That game was Colorado vs TCU. With Colorado being 20 point underdogs and Deion Sanders a.k.a Coach Prime making his Power 5 coaching debut, people didn’t know what to expect. Colorado ended up pulling off the upset winning 45-42 with unbelievable performances from WR/CB Travis Hunter and QB Shedeur Sanders. The biggest game of today will take place at 7:30 with the South Carolina Gamecocks taking on the UNC Tar Heels. I am a diehard gamecock fan and I can’t wait for this game to kickoff and hopefully take home the win!

Hello blog! I am back to talk about a great night of college football! I ended up watching the two games that I mentioned in yesterday's blog which was Utah vs. Florida and Nebraska vs. Minnesota. Utah had their way with Florida last night. The Utes were the more physical team and the more prepared team and their fans were going crazy! Utah defeated Florida 24-11. The game of the night was Nebraska vs. Minnesota. This was a slugfest, both teams were playing great defense all night and it looked like Nebraska had it in the bag. This was until they blew a 4th quarter lead after an amazing catch by Minnesota WR Daniel Jackson which tied the game up. As Nebraska got the ball back and were driving down the field... BOOM! Nebraska QB Jeff Sims throws his 3rd interception of the game and this sets up Minnesota for the game winning field goal witch the kicker makes and Minnesota steals a win. That game was the perfect example of just how crazy college football is and I am so glad that it is back.

Hello blog! I am back on this great Thursday and I am super excited for one reason. College football is on tonight! There are 11 games on but the 2 games I am most looking forward to are Utah vs. Florida and Nebraska vs. Minnesota. These should both be great games and there is a main headline for both games. Utah will be without their star QB Cam Rising as he is still recovering from injury so we will see how Utah performs without him. For the Nebraska vs. Minnesota game, Matt Rhule head coach of Nebraska, returns to college football after coaching the Carolina Panthers the last 3 seasons. As a Panthers fan, I will be strongly rooting for Minnesota because Matt Rhule was a terrible head coach for us and it really did set our franchise back. With all of that being said, tonight will be a great night for college football fans and I can't wait for these games to come on!

Hello Blog! I am back today to discuss the football world. What I will be discussing today is sort of personal since it deals with my favorite football team the Carolina Panthers. Today the Panthers released QB Matt Corral who was a 3rd round pick in the 2022 NFL draft. I do feel bad for him in a sense because he unfortunately never got an opportunity after he got injured in the preseason last year and then the Panthers traded up to the number 1 pick and took QB Bryce Young. Bryce has easily been the best QB on the Panthers roster all throughout training camp and the regular season. Matt Corral has gotten plenty of reps this preseason but just hasn’t show too much which has led to his release. I hope he gets an opportunity one day and if no team picks him up on the waiver wire he will most likely be on the Panthers practice squad.

Tuesday, August 29th Blog
Hello everyone we are back for another day of All Around The NFL And NCAAF. The main news that I wanted to talk about today is about the NFL. Today in the NFL, teams had to cut down their rosters to 53 players so many players were released and unfortunately may not get another opportunity. Around 1,184 NFL players are cut every single year right before the regular season begins and the decisions can definitely be tough. I can't even imagine having to sit down with 30-40 guys on your team and tell them they won't make it. Their dreams are crushed in an instant. A prediction I had for today was that Colts RB Jonathan Taylor would be traded and he was surprisingly not. 2 teams were interested but the Colts felt like they weren't receiving fair compensation so this mean the Jonathan Taylor and Colts drama will continue. With rosters being finalized, teams are now solely focused on getting ready for their week 1 matchups and I am ready for the season to start.

Monday, August 28th Blog
Hello everyone, my name is Austin Taylor and this is my blog! In my blog I will be talking about the NFL and college football and updating you on all the latest news. Today we will be talking about week 0 of the college football season which just occurred this weekend. There were 7 games this past Saturday and I was very excited to watch what I could. I watched Notre Dame face off against Navy in Dublin, Ireland and transfer QB Sam Hartman for Notre Dame showed out. He had 251 passing yards along with 4 TDs leading Notre Dame to a 42-3 victory. The next game I watched was USC (SoCal) vs. San Jose St. This game included the reigning Heisman winner in Caleb Williams and he picked up right where he left off. He had 278 yards passing with 4 TDs leading USC to a 56-28 victory. I enjoyed finally having football on and I can't wait for this upcoming weekend when all the teams finally start their season!
