percy’s “you’re better at this than me” regarding annabeth’s superior knowledge, understanding and navigation of the mythic world and annabeth’s “he’s better than that” regarding percy’s humanity and how he deals with the world, with kindness and fairness and standing up for what’s right. they’re two halves coming together, learning from each other and becoming whole.

see, I like the interpretation that the doctor Does Not Fuck, but also fifteen has big hookup guy energy, so I feel like “goes back to your apartment and starts explaining black holes to you and you go ‘hey man so I actually wanted to fuck you’ and he goes ‘oh I know’ and continues to explain black holes” is a good compromise
