breakroom story

once during work, it was my off time so i went into the break room ofc. for a bit of context, there's two others in there with me. my co-workers, who's also from the UK, and then an american who moved here a little bit before covid restrictions.

anyways, we're all doing our own thing when my fellow european co-worker gets up and says that they're going out for a fag.

and our dearest american, unused to the slang here, did not realize that they mean a cigarette.
