okay but shepard’s “it’d be nice to have someone to turn to when things get grim… someone to live for” implies that before kaidan he didn’t really have a concrete reason for being alive. like he was just there because the only other option was death, he didn’t really have a purpose. he was alive simply because he was. but kaidan, kaidan made him WANT that life. it made him WANT to be alive. and it made him want to fight for it. and i think that’s beautiful

The space odyssey series certainly was a ride. There’s a lot of great elements to it and some… not so much. A good deal, especially in later books, becomes a bunch of real weird and specific stuff either he’s horny about and … if I have to be scarred so do you.
