Personal opinion
I know it’s super fun and cool to try out new skincare products all the time like we see influencers do but take their lifestyles w a grain of salt. If you want REAL results from your skincare and you want to look young for a long time, consistency is key. Skincare monogamy is important because our products need precious time to work and do their job! It’s ok to change out your moisturizer if you think it’s not the one or move to a more effective active but if something is working for you, don’t ditch it just because the new thing came out at Sephora. Our skin doesn’t get bored, it likes routine and nourishment. Switching products too often will give you dermatitis and breakouts, plus do nothing to prevent aging. 40 year old you will thank you!!!

why I put raw honey on popped pimples
1- draws out liquids like pus and blood, thus reducing inflammation
2 - known to promote healing (used in some hospitals when a wound won’t heal)
3 - anti-bacterial/antimicrobial
4 - doesn’t dry out or irritate skin like other topical treatments
5 - keeps wound moist which may help reduce scarring
How to: once you’ve gently squeezed the pimple until clear liquid comes out, wipe the area with an alcohol wipe or something similar. Then put a small amount of honey on the pimple, and cover with a bandaid. Replace in the mornings and evenings.

One of the biggests changes you can make in your skincare routine is putting makeup remover wipes next to your bed. Doing your skincare routine every single night always sounds like a great idea until you’re home from a night out. Your skin and bed sheets will thank you in the morning!!!

FINALLY got my first aloe plant. 8 Benefits of Aloe Vera: 1. It treats sunburn. Aloe Vera helps with sunburn through its powerful healing activity at the epithelial level of the skin, a layer of cells that cover the body. It acts as a protective layer on the skin and helps replenish its moisture. Because of its nutritional qualities and antioxidant properties, the skin heals quicker. 2. It acts as a moisturizer. Aloe moisturizes the skin without giving it a greasy feel, so it`s perfect for anyone with an oily skin complexion. For women who use mineral-based make-up, aloe vera acts as a moisturizer and is great for the face prior to the application to prevents skin drying. For men: Aloe vera gel can be used as an aftershave treatment as its healing properties can treat small cuts caused by shaving. 3. It treats acne. Aloe vera gel contains two hormones: Auxin and Gibberellins. These two hormones provide wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce skin inflammation. Giberellin in aloe vera acts as a growth hormone stimulating the growth of new cells. It allows the skin to heal quickly and naturally with minimal scarring. Aloe is soothing and can reduce skin inflammations, blistering and itchiness, while helping the skin to heal more rapidly. Additionally, in Ayurvedic medicine, Aloe is used to effectively heal chronic skin problems, such as psoriasis, acne and eczema. 4. It fights aging. As we age, everyone begins to worry about the appearance of fine lines and the loss of elasticity in their skin. Aloe leaves contain a plethora of antioxidants including, beta carotene, vitamin C and E that can help improve the skin's natural firmness and keep the skin hydrated. 5. It lessens the visibility of stretch marks. The skin is like one big piece of elastic that’ll expand and contract as needed to accommodate growth. But if the skin stretches too far, too fast (due to pregnancy, rapid weight gain or loss) the elasticity of the skin can be damaged. That’s what leaves those unsightly stretch marks. These marks appear due to minor tears in the layers of the skin caused by sudden and excessive stretching. Aloe vera gel can help hide these stretch marks by healing these wounds. 6. It's nutrient rich for good health. This solid material contains over 75 different nutrients including vitamins, minerals, enzymes, sugars, anthraquinones or phenolic compounds, lignin, saponins, sterols, amino acids and salicylic acid. 7. It soothes in periodontal disease. According to a study published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology, it's extremely helpful in the treatment of gum diseases like gingivitis, periodontitis. It reduces bleeding, inflammation and swelling of the gums. It is a powerful antiseptic in pockets where normal cleaning is difficult, and its antifungal properties help greatly in the problem of denture stomatitis, apthous ulcers, cracked and split corners of the mouth. 8. It aids in digestion. The internal benefits of aloe vera are supposed to be just as amazing. The plant is said to improve the digestion and to relieve ulcers. Some people consider it a laxative, while others attribute that effect to its digestive qualities (which normalize the system and induce regularity). The juice is also prescribed for arthritis and rheumatism. To test any of these claims, steep the cut foliage in water or chew pieces of the fresh leaf.

FALSE EYELASHES
To all my lash lovers out there, how gorgeous are these Eldora False Eyelashes in M111? 😍 Now, they are pretty full-on-glam but for a night out, they are perfect! These falsies are lighter in density and shorter on the inner half, yet fluffier & longer on the outer half, thereby creating a wonderfully flirty look to your peepers!
Tumblr media
If you have hooded eyelids these falsies will be a bit overwhelming for your eyes, making them appear smaller. But a winged-out lash that is shorter in length would be a great way to accentuate your eyes, elongating them rather than closing the gap between your lid and brow bone.

What's serums or things should you not use in the same routine?
There’s only two skin care ingredient pairings you should never make:
Vitamin C and Niacinamide (can potentially cause skin flushing, but is actually harmless outside of that)
Acids, such as AHAs and Vitamin C, and Retinol (burn baby burn!)

Note
People always say vitamin c serums are good for fixing acne scars and sun spots.. Do you have any brand recommendations? The only one I know is the Klairs one but it has ingredients like Propylene Glycol and Butylene Glycol.
They’re right! Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, treats hyperpigmentation, and can stimulate collagen synthesis. Put simply, you want to use it if possible.
BUT (and there’s always a but), some conditions must be met in a serum to actually provide you with these benefits. Vitamin C serums are notoriously unstable. Unstable = ineffective:
20% concentration of your vitamin c derivative is best (but not necessary, especially for beginners)
Water-based serums need to be at a certain pH to be most effective
Contain ferulic acid to boost stability
Some vitamin C serums that do meet these criteria:
Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum
Timeless 20% Vitamin C+E+Ferulic Acid Serum
Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum
Skinceuticals CE Ferulic Antioxidant Serum
I wouldn’t use the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop because it’s a low percentage of vitamin c with too high of a pH. It’s ineffective. I’d recommend you try one of the serums above.

✨Hoe Tips✨ Skincare Ed.
1. Find products for YOUR specific skin type. Look into ingredients like salicylic acid (for normal/oily skin) or glycolic acid (for dryer/aged skin) and see how they affect your specific skin type. Don’t just do Proactiv or whatever bevause everyone else does it. 2. Kinda goes with no. 1, but look at the ingredients in whatever you’re putting on your face. Labels like “paraben free” are typically better for your skin. Look up ingredients you aren’t sure of, and make sure they aren’t notably corrosive chemicals. 3. Do a swatch test on your wrist or forearm for all skin products before putting them on your face. If the product irritates the skin on your arm, DO NOT put it on your face. 4. Do a mask once a week to really clean out your pores (cheap ones can be found at Target, Walmart, or your local pharmacy). 5. Drink lots of water, and eat fresh fruits. 6. MOISTURIZE DAILY. Even if you have oily skin (there are moisturizers specifically made for oily skin types). Moisturizers with SPF are a bonus for extra protection. 7. Shower/wash your face with lukewarm/cooler water. Hot water can dry out your skin immensely. 8. My skincare routine order: remove makeup, facewash, exfoliator, mask, toner, acne/spot treatment, moisturizer/spf 9. Never ever ever sleep with makeup on 10. Coconut oil and other essential oils can be great for your skin, but they can also clog up pores if you have an oily skintype. Bear that in mind. 11. Try to buy skincare products of the same brand, or at least that have similar ingredients. Mixing the wrong brands/chemicals can cause acid burn on your face (which from personal experience hurts like a bitch and takes a while to heal.) 12. Witch hazel is a fantastic all natural toner 13. For more acne prone skin, try to find a moisturizer with salicylic acid for that extra defense. Clean and clear ($8 at any drugstore) works wonders 14. Don’t pop your pimples ever (but if you do, make sure to only pop the whiteheads) 15. Those tiny black dots on your nose are supposed to be there. They’re pores, not blackheads, and should be cleansed regularly. However, you should still have those little pores on your nose visibly. Stop tryna get rid of them. 15. Touch your face as little as possible 16. Change your pillowcases often, especially if you sleep on your front 17. Every few months, change up the brand of your skincare products. The oils and bacteria on your skin eventually adapt to the products you use, and they stop being as effective 18. Some brands of birth control can actually double to clear up your skin 19. Wash your scalp and hair often, especially if you have acne on your hairline 20. Relax. Skin can be severely affected by extreme stress levels 21. Swap out your heavy foundation for a light BB cream on casual days. BB cream is more protective and moisturizing for your skin, and still offers natural coverage 22. Look for makeup products with SPF. These products can moisturize and protect your skin from sun damage while still keepin ya face beat 23. Always moisturize and prime before putting on makeup, to make it last longer and to keep your pores clear despite layers of foundation, concealer, powder, etc 24. Splash/spray some rose water onto your face before moisturizing. This both tones and hydrates your face to really lock in moisture. 25. Don’t go overboard with the amount of products you put on your face. Sometimes, less is more.
✨Thats all for now hoes enjoy ya clear skin✨
