The Absol almost had to stand on tiptoes for that, being fairly small for her species. It looked like she seeked comfort, even if there was nothing to be afraid of.

M's thoughts seemed strange. "What's wrong?" Jayce asked. He didn't understand why she was so anxious. "Did I do something to upset you? Do you need help? Why do I need to hold on? I have no idea what's going on!" He was about to continue when a splitting headache stopped him. "Ow," he whispered, wincing.

"Wait... why don't I just do that now?" Jayce sighed. He stood up, regaining his composure. "I-I'm sorry. I thought you might have been an enemy." He explained timidly. "I've been a bit... crazy as of recent due to lack of sleep. I hope I did not cause you any discomfort."

Jayce sat down in front of the girl, pondering the question. He would read her mind while answering her question, to confirm whether she was potentially hostile or not. "No, I don't. Well, I might, but I don't remember him. I have Amnesia, you see, so--" He stopped. "N-no way..." He mumbled under his breath. "My telepathy doesn't work?" Instead of the usual way of telepathy, with which Jayce could read even the most powerful of psychic type pokemons' minds, he couldn't pick up any thoughts from this girl. In fact, she could probably hear everything that just went through his mind. "This may come as a rude question, but what are you?"

He looked up at the girl. something was off about her, but Jayce couldn't figure out what. "Hello, Kiri. My name is Jayce." he replied, faking a smile. Jayce was still unsure how this girl managed to sneak up on him undetected. He would have to get to know this girl more too. She didn't look too menacing.

Jayce sensed a presence nearby. He looked around to find a golden pair of eyes right in front of his face. Letting out a yelp, he leapt back startled. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” He exclaimed, annoyed that what turned out to be a young girl was able to sneak up on him. ” I-i mean, who are you and what are you doing here?”
