You all need to understand: I CAN NOT handle horror. I am a 26 year old woman who still needs a light on in every room of the house when my roommate is gone. I still can’t watch the Thriller music video without being scared of the end. Horror movie trailers will give me nightmares. I am not a horror fan.

Which is why it’s RIDICULOUS how much comfort and warmth I felt when I unexpectedly heard an old trailer for MAG season 4 while listening to RQG.

The tape recorder click, the “Rusty Quill Presents..” It felt like coming home.

TMAGP is on hiatus, I’m caught up with Sherlock and Co., and my next audiobook from the library is not available yet, so today begins my Malevolent journey.

I’m only one and a half episodes in but I’m already obsessed with the Eddie BrockxVenom vibes

So, Bonzo is a pretty clear specimen of the Stranger. It was never human, but made by someone else whose life it has taken over, which has obvious parallels in Nikola Orsinov's origins. However, unlike Orsinov, instead of killing Nigel, Bonzo seems to.... almost be his husband?? Maybe not the best relationship, but they do seem to care about each other. It seems less like an overt Fear and more like.... an obsession.

However, that's not what I came to red-string about. I came to Red String about Annabelle Cane and why I think it is HER who emerges from the trapdoor at the very end of the episode.

- First off, Annabelle would have been in the perfect position to escape to Hilltop Road, since she was essentially now purely guarding the Web's designs.

- Second, the key Sam drops is dragged across the wood. Not through the water, which is deep enough that it can roil, but on the wood. Meaning Sam dropped the key, and then neither he nor Alice saw it again. We know the Web has this power, the same way it repeatedly made Jon forget about the Lighter.

- The sound the water makes... it sounds almost like skittering, doesn't it? Not the roiling of a stagnant puddle, but the clacking of hundreds of tiny insects.... like spiders.

- Thirdly, Sam delves, seemingly by compulsion, through the Magnus Institute's ruins, but as soon as the key is in the proper place, he goes back to normal almost. It's not so obvious as outright possession, but it seems more like something scratching at his brain, making him follow a series of steps while believing it is his own decisions pushing him along that path.

Uhhhh..... yeah. That's it, I think, unless I stumble across something else. :3

Ok, about TMAGP 9

It seems to me the objects are trying to create avatars - the dice failed with Gary, but with whoever is giving the statement, they got someone who was clever enough to use the dice on other people, spreading the fear. They even changed their look to look like a dark avatar of some kind. And the feelings changed so that the person felt less human and yet more connected to events happening far away from them. It’s was only when they gave the dice to the Institute (so hoping it was Gertrude who took the statement) that the dice finally killed them. The dice killing the humans that have let it down…
