Currently thinking about how the episode where Callum learns the sky arcanum is titled “breathe” and when he got possessed by Aaravos he was choking which makes me think that maybe Aaravos momentarily cut off his connection to the arcanum
I know this is not a Dragon Prince blog, but I just have to say that the idea of a Callum corruption arc has me frothing at the mouth. Aaravos, PLEASE break my boy.
Janai and Karim, Patience of the elves and the lack thereof
So Janai takes Karim to the sun seed, showing him how she plans on rebuilding their civilisation. However, Karim remarks that that would take longer than even an elf’s lifespan to accomplish. So, what does he do? He starts trying to overthrow his sister.
Karim has no patience.
Because the elves never learned patience.
As said by Aaravos himself, patience was a lesson learned by humans. Because they had to. Elves, and especially star-touch elves, were never struggling, never in need to wait because they had all that they needed.
So why is Janai patient? What sets her apart from all the other elves in her kingdom? She has Amaya. This human being she’s in love with, who taught her as much as she taught her.
And that’s why humans and elves are more powerful when they’re together. Why understanding and love is better than hate and judgement. Thank you for coming to my TED talk
