he lies about cheating on her, except it’s the other way around from how it usually is. she hates his other son who isn’t actually his other son and he won’t tell her who the mother is. she was supposed to marry his objectively hotter older brother. they fuck so hard she aches afterwards. she tells him their toddler is afraid of his killer wolf and he says the kid has to toughen up. he’s a second son that never wanted to be lord, she tells him he needs to toughen up. he almost kills a man in a street because he believes that man is insinuating things about her. she thinks of how much he loved her hair while she claws her face off. and also they love each other deeply and are very devoted to one another

Absolutely wild how asoiaf/ fire and blood set up Lysa Tully and Viserra Targaryen to be unsympathetic bratty teenage girls and expects me to hate them instead of the cradle snatchers they are forced to marry like I think Lysa shouldve poisoned Jon Arryn even harder actually and Viserra shouldve strapped Jaehaerys to that horse and sent him careening head-first into a brick wall

Conversely my favourite part of s8 was the show runners giving Dany Jon Conningtons bell-related trauma because he was never a show character and it led to a big old plot hole. Can't think of 2 people more similar than an exiled ginger lord who's raising a secret kid on a boat and a 16 year old former child bride who hatched magical monsters.

if rhaenyra had succeeded in ascending the iron throne, do you think daemon would have somehow found a way to secretly have the strong boys killed so his sons would be the heirs?

So Daemon is not a long-term planner. His whole thing is that he is extremely impulsive. I think it’s a pretty good indicator that when Rhaenyra DID succeed in ascending the iron throne Daemon was not planning and plotting to dispose of Joffrey to put Aegon on the throne but instead decided to abandon all of them to go on his suicidal riverlands bender with the sixteen year old dragon rider he met like 4 months prior. ​

like. sure naming a kid 4th in line aegon is suspicious as hell but was DAEMON machinating? no the only thing he ever fully calculated in his life was the angle of his final 720 helix spin eye sword dragon jump trickshot. which is why daemonomics was such a disaster when he was master of coin.

in an alternate universe where visenya was the person who became queen of a united westeros not aegon, what would the trickle down effects be? like if targaryens did the whole absolute primogeniture thing etc

well aegon only gets away with having two wives who are also his sisters because he is the king. so the immediate implication of visenya inheriting instead is that rhaenys has to marry someone else or that gay polygamous sibling marriage is legal for targaryens. would change everything.

it’s actually so insane that bittersteel’s name is aegor which is soo obviously a powergrab thing they named him not-quite aegon .. so from birth hes involved in this kings-bastardy conflict theres never a world where he isnt. and bloodraven is called brendan
