'Look.' You tilt your head up to face him, all 6ft of him with his eyebrows turned down. 'I am not a doll, a plaything, a toy, a whore that you can fuck and mess around with and leave when you've had enough. I will not be that kind of woman for you.' And it burns once its out, the confession that's been sitting on your tongue for months and you hate it, hate that you're afraid of loving him in a way you so desperately want to.

He's affronted, his lips parting in surprise. 'You think that's what I want from you?'

'No? I thought it was pretty obvious how I felt about you. You're not- I like you, I'm not sure how else I can say it.'

Words never mean much but he thinks he can prove it to you in some way, if you'd give him the opportunity. So when he takes your hand a chaste kiss meets your knuckle, he thinks about how he can, determined to do it, for you.
