Papyrus waited patiently as the
nurse smiled and told Sans of
what was going to happen. He
grinned casually at being told to
sit. Why? Well, because …
* I already am, silly!
There’s a pause at the next words,
an almost confused look. Scared?
Why would he be scared? This person
didn’t want to hurt them. Besides,
everyone needed a friend!
( The Great Papyrus understood this!
Not … having any very many himself )
* You won’t.
The sound came out as a gentle
clack with teeth, grinning.
* Because there’s no way you
could hurt the Great Papyrus!
* Unless of course —
There’s a ‘shady’ ( if one could even call
it that, this skeleton didn’t have a shady
bone in his body )
* — you can find my secret.
San’s left eye sparked
blue, and he straightened
with interest. Secret? This
scrawny bag of bones
had a secret? Interesting...

There’s a frown as Papyrus looked at his brother.
the sleepy eyes and the obvious frustration …
* Despite the understandable desire for my Spaghetti, brother
I cannot!
Because their brother was lazy. Even Papyrus
knew that! Despite all of the attempts to show
otherwise, the real Sans always stuck out in his
mind. Falling asleep everywhere, not doing much.
… Surely Asgore would not mind.
After all, the man was very spacey.
* You however, should come out here. It is quite nice today.
Hands pressed against his armor around his waist,
frowning at his brother. He wondered if he could
simply pick up the smaller skeleton ( he bet he could,
Papyrus definitely had a great deal of strength, even
if he did not use it often ) and take them further out,
insisting on showing off his armor to the surrounding
populous. As well as do a few puzzles!
Simple ones! Ones where his brother did not have to
think and simply do. Yes!
Yes those were good puzzles.
* If royal guards get breaks, then the people they are to
guard get breaks as well!
Sans sighed. His brother
had good intentions, but
this was ultimately a
fruitless venture. Sans huffed.
✱ the weather’s nice every day
✱ we live underground
He yawned and headed
back inside, waving for
his brother to follow.
He ran his hand over
the desk, pulling some
papers over the notes
covered by some odd
language that most
couldn’t understand.
