I went to a pro-Palestine protest and I later saw that one of the local newspapers had written about it calling it a “pro-Hamas” rally. I left a lengthy comment on the article telling off the author for journalistic malpractice because not one of speakers at the rally ever said that they supported Hamas. He also conveniently omitted the fact that Jewish Voice for Peace was a major organizer of the event to try and make it seem like every single person at the rally was a Muslim. A few days later, the article got taken down. Keep calling out the mainstream media on their hypocrisy and dishonesty - your advocacy DOES make a difference!

Does anyone else just get the most VISCERAL fucking physical disgust and rage and hatred whenever they see someone using a Character Chat AI like you all are fucking traitors supporting the enemy at that point.
AI like that shit was literally invented to replace us the actual fucking WRITERS so using it means throwing your hat in with the fucking tech douchebros who created it because they were either too lazy or unimaginative to take a fucking creative writing class themselves.
I'm not super hard on a lot of topics but THIS I am super fucking hard on: if you use any kind of AI like that shit then don't even talk to me.

I don't want to walk among people who consider themselves gods. did we learn nothing from frankenstein? from old texts and movies? from all those dystopian future ideas. all those "what if..." and "how far..." that no one really stopped to think "should we". and those who did could never consider themselves gods, but if that's what it is to be a god i'd rather meet my mortal end!

Oh god this happened to me too. I was trying to find professional characters reference sheets to see how people who work in animation and comics make their character sheets but it was FUCKING FLOODED with machine generated images and I couldn’t find a real sheet!!!
the internet has been completely ruined for artists.
I had just went on to pinterest to look for some character design things relating to geodes because usually I could find good shit there. but now? no matter what I search up its filled with ai slop.
ive been desensitized to ai shit flooding artists spaces for a while now, but I think this broke me. no matter where I go, no matter what I do, where I look for art I see AI-generated images. there is no corner of the internet where ai hasn't infected with its disgusting fucking hands places that were once for real artists.
pinterest is fucking useless for me now, because with all the ai splot that got uploaded there, actual relevant pictures don't show up anymore.
it actually feels so fucking bleak now. the only thing I've ever wanted to do, the only thing I CAN do, is be an artist. but we live in a capitalist fucking hellscape that prioritizes efficiency and consumption, actual humans be damned. I'm considered obsolete even before breaking into the field.
i want to yell and scream and break shit because its all so fucking unfair. ive been told over and over and fucking over again that this is the future, deal with it, sink or swim, fuck you. but it feels like I'm drowning now. it feels like that the world never had a place for me, and if it did, they're actively destroying it. i feel like there is no scenario in the world where me as an actual artist will ever be accepted over ai because it's faster, it's better, and it's "democraitzed art."
i dont know what to do anymore. i try to stay in my little bubble but every time i try and step out to do anything I'm met with this shit. i know this looks like I've lost my shit about a pinterest search but its not just that, it's everything. twitter. deviantart. artstation. Instagram. its all gone to shit and it prioritizes ai art i want to scream. sometimes i want to disappear forever because i know the world doesn't want my shit it wants ai.
so what the fuck do i do? what do i do from here? let myself drown? fight back? i don't know. it all feels hopeless. i don't know what to do. i feel helpless
