Alrighty! Now for fanart for Unda’s “Your Words Destroyed my Planet”!

This fic vies for my favorite with MC Escher and DBDC; actually, it probably comes out on top! It’s an epic futuristic sci-fi where the cast consists of all grownass adults instead of teens, which makes their interactions and mental knots more interesting to me.

As usual, the endgame ship is Davesolkat, which this first pic unsubtly conveys! (Dave has black robot eyes in the fic, and how did you know I use goatees as shorthand for someone being an adult—)

The second pic is for Sollux (naturally) and (SPOILER) enjoying some quiet time. This scene was lovely and I like, NEEDED to draw it. 💛

This next pic is self-explanatory. Karkat’s doing his best!!

Here are some doodles I made for “MC Escher That’s my Favorite MC”, another of Unda’s gigantic and epic homestuck fics!

MC Escher is Unda’s go at writing a Soulmate Markings universe for the Homestuck crew, and it’s incredible. (The soulmate marks are sleeve tattoos.)

When I made these, I’d already read the fic over once, and so I just drew some of my favorite highlights.

The first set is an adorable SolDave ♦️ kiss: they’re all just kids in this fic, so it’s adorable and chaste as hell, hee!

The second set is two of my favorite cuddle scenes, though they’re in wildly different circumstances!

This pic is of (spoiler), one of my fave characters and scenes!

And this final pic is my favorite of them all! (At least Meulin’s shipping arguments are effectively silent, heehee!)

It’s an incredible fic that I’ll def be coming back to over and over.

The last bits of DBDC fanart I made last summer!

I didn’t end up drawing anything for the last dozen or so chapters, because they had me on the edge of my seat! Maybe this year I’ll go back and feel inspired enough, because there are definitely bits I wanna draw! Not for now though.

I skipped doodling quite a few chapters here, probably because I got so wrapped up in the plot! I wanted to go back and doodle them in the meantime, but the thing is? These are all spur-of-the-moment drawings, and once said spur is gone, well, I don’t really feel like going back.

Karkat molts and is so deliciously angsty about it, oh my loooord, these chapters were intense! I fuckin ADORE the depiction of molting, and how it’s used as a cheat against death in this verse, to great effect! And KK’s dysphoria and utter misery with his new body, just excellent, chef’s kiss.

Lookit these lovely chaotic idiots: sitting on each other, getting in scandalously quadrant-flipping piles, ruining paparazzi pics of each other— i love drawing cuddling, it’s so nice!

(I think my fave doodle is the one with Karkat happily reading while Sollux glares ineffectually at him, heehee!)

Honestly I love all the bits with Id in it, he’s such a chaos gremlin ahaha!

Dayvhe losing control of himself is so fun to watch unfold: when he let slip an unintentional command and was so scared of himself, oooh baby! 👀💦

DBDC chapter 44, Dayvhe meets… well…

…himself! Id is so cute, Adult is so silly, this scene was so incredibly fun to read! I should def revisit it, if only to try analyzing it from a psychology perspective this time, now that I’m not being swept away by the plot!

It was neat to draw all the personalities distinctly enough: my hope was if I ever drew them all in the same color, it’d still be obvious which was which!

Part 2 of the chapter was so cool too, I love Unda’s version of the clown church with Chahut as its lead, she was so great! This whole chapter was a blast.

Dayvhe yanks on Sollux’s tongue because he’s an impulsive idiot, then tells Sollux about how he was totally crushing on him way back when. And Sollux gets a heartwarming cuddle/crush from KK!

Listen, the Solvris blackrom in this fic is legendary. It’s so good, it’s 200% consensual, they both wanna one-up each other so baaaad, eee! ♠️

Sollux goes in to get a surgery and gets a temporary fauxhawk, which I will draw him in for a bit.

Finally I get to post my header: Chapter 31 of Dayvhe’s Broken Diamond Club! Chapter 31 is so intense and COOL!!!

Sollux makes an impassioned plea to the Goldblood union, and I wanted to try to depict the cyberspace they had the meeting in, it really left an impression on me!
