We are so excited to announce that we will be playing the Red Eye Comedy & Beer Festival at the legendary 123 Pleasant Street on April 1st with THE HARDTIMES NEWS! As part of a 3 day festival, we will be performing on Friday night with Dave Ross, Kevin Tit, and our good friend Cody Cannon, hosted by Co-Founder of The Hard Times, Bill Conway. We love you Walter. Rest In Peace Brother. -A Walter DeBarr Story- Walter has been a dear friend of ours since the beginning of the band. The first time we ever met him is an unforgettable one. We were just starting out, only a couple practices in, and we were renting a practice space in Huntington. We were in the middle of things and suddenly we heard a knock on the front door. We peak out and there stood Walter, who none of us had ever met before, dressed up for a show with his guitar on his back. He asked if he could use the bathroom, and rushed in. We all stared shocked at this stranger with a guitar rushing in, but when he came back in to the room, he told us how he dug what we were doing and preceded to tell us his life story. Turns out he was in town early for a show right down the street, but they weren’t open yet so he hung out with us until it was time to go. He played us some of his songs, and told us about how he was preparing to record with some mutual friends of ours. We hit it off immediately and we would go on to tell this story many times over of how Walter burst into our lives and just like that we gained a new brother. Over the next three years we would see Walter at shows and stay in touch online, always supporting and sending love both ways. This picture is from of our last shows that Walter came to. He was dancing up a storm and spreading the love as he always did. We heard the news of his passing today are are gutted. We always talked about doing a tour together, and imagined all the different places we’d go together. Sadly that never happened. But best believe he will be in our hearts in all our travels, and for sure our next show will be dedicated to the man that we proudly called brother. Happy New Year! Thank you to everyone for all your support in 2021. It was a huge year for us. Our first album came out in December of 2020, and then we were finally able to start playing shows in May once restrictions were lifted. And boy did we play some shows! We played all over, and had so many amazing experiences that we could have never even imagined a year ago. This year has been a dream come true in so many ways. Thank you for making this our reality! We are already hard at work on our second album, writing new songs for you to sing along with and go off to.
