"Fighting the good fight is not only the right thing to do, it's fun. And who has more fun than us?"
Thank you Jack, for everything. Absolutely everything.
Thank you for being the voice of the Bruins for two decades, and for your unparalleled love of the Boston Bruins that rivals our love of this organization as fans. Thank you for believing in Brad Marchand even when he was at his worst, and for always being the Homer Announcer who knew that even when he was being a little shit, his heart was always in the right place.
Nobody will ever be the voice of the Boston Bruins the way you have been, and I'm so happy that I got to experience this part of this organization's history with you as our play-by-play announcer. 🖤💛 You're just as much of a Bruin as Patrice Bergeron in my opinion.
here's to Jack, a steady presence in many living rooms every October - April for as long as I can remember
NESN Bruins broadcasts won't be the same without his cackle, his absurdities, his unintentional innuendos (even when they don't seem unintentional at all), and his willingness to call out egregious officiating and name drop officials
911 writers are absolutely mad dropping this storyline in the 4th episode!! this is season finale stuff and we got it 07x04. This season is going to be so unhinged
i’m honestly kind of upset with the rest of the Bruins roster about the Poitras situation. like from day one teams were taking runs at him cus he’s small. and nobody stepped up and fought for him, like that’s when you need an enforcer or really just anybody to fight players who hit him extra hard.
people hate Marchand for his play so much but it’s necessary. like yeah he’s laid out some objectively dirty hits, but that’s the only way he’s able to protect himself with how small he is. any player is gonna think twice about running Marchand because he’s always a threat to come sweep their legs or go for their knees or lick their face. it’s how he protects himself.
