mark it's been a while!!!! how are you and dusty and wisteria and berry doing? how is the most important bounsweet in the world hehe!!

hey, it really has been a while huh.

this might be a little long

me and prinz tried out the gym challenge, so we went on our own adventure of sorts. (a little later than normal since we're wayy past 10 years old, but better late than never)

dusty and berry are doing great, they got pretty close and are really good friends now. berry also evolved, which was neat.

speaking of evolutions, azure evolved and is now this huge corvinight. not long after she evolved, jamie followed suit. so now i have a huge bird and a huge slug.

schelm is. schelm. she's a menace (affectionate) and the only other pokemon i have that hasn't/doesn't want to evolve.

so that's my team now. i decided to drop from the gym challenge since it didn't feel like it was for me, and im honestly pretty glad that they took it well. im still adventuring tho, with prinz ofc.

so speaking of prinz, he's killing it actually. it's almost like the gym challenge was made for him.

we managed to find a fire stone and evolve sei into this stunning ninetales. he's a bit high maintenance but prinz doesnt mind.

smoky is doing well too, acting like the older brother of their team. which is cute honestly.

now! new team members! prinz caught a farfetchd that took FOREVER for us to actually get close to. it let its guard down eventually though and is pretty close with prinz. hes a sirfetchd now, which is neat, and his name is baron.

there's also a little guy we got in glimwood tangle. his name is zak and hes a morgrem-former-impidimp. i never knew impidimp glowed and neither did prinz, so meeting zak was a surprise.

and that's about it for us.

oh, and wisteria?

she's doing great :)

Okay so this is something that's been gnawing at me like fleas for a while now.

It's stakes.

We've got low stakes and high stakes and that seems like just too much of a jump. I've already run afoul of this.

So I'm proposing a new system.

#nostakes - No stakes is just that. There are zero stakes. This is your coffee shop everyone is happy AU

#lowstakes - some bad stuff might happen, but it's gonna all turn out okay

#dramastakes - there will be tears, drama and shit disturbers making it seem worse than it is, but this is a dramatic story and nobody's going to end up badly harmed. This is for stuff that belongs on soap operas honestly.

#high stakes- People will get hurt, shit will go down. But everyone should survive in more or less one pieces.

#ultra stakes- death is now on the table

#dark fate - this is a bad ending, warning ahead. BAD ENDING. EDIT: You don't need to use no or low stakes tags unless you want to, however drama and above should be tagged.

Can Pokémon be affected by dwarfism? Or gigantism for that matter? I’m sure breeding programs would have started coming out with miniature girafarigs or giant Pikachu if that was possible. (Crossing my fingers for a big ol’ fidough)

ive read up on hisuian era pokémon having huge strains of gigantism, but its mostly been bred out over time. really fucking rare nowadays you see a pokémon that much bigger than standard. same with dwarf pokémon

headcanon: pokepride!!!!!

just a quick one i thought of:

historically, shiny sneasel and weavile have been icons of the lgbt+ community due to their bright colours. to identify each other in areas where it may have been dangerous to be themselves, lgbt+ people would ask "have you ever seen a shiny weavile?" this continues today, with these pokemon still being icons of the community, alongside:

ditto - for being able to be anything and everything.

sylveon - the trans flag was actually based off of sylveon's colours, as the community uses sylveon as an unofficial mascot for breaking typical gender norms.

the fairy type in general has been transformed from a harmful stereotype to an embraced icon for the whole community, particularly for mlm.

ho-oh - its rainbow colours inspired the rainbow flag, and it's the most recognised icon for the community today.
