because i’m still incredibly salty that supergirl completely erased the fact that it was rokk who started the legion and not mon-el, i’ve decided to kind of combine both comic and show canon to create a middle ground that will allow me to interact with supergirl characters and the dctv verse:
rokk, along with imra, mon-el and brainy started the legion together. however, similar to the comics, rokk’s methods weren’t exactly pc. it’s through meeting superman and the other three working alongside kara that they learned that killing should not be in the legion repertoire thus completely changing how they portrayed themselves in the 31st century.
when imra, brainy and mon-el went back to the past to stop the worldkillers from becoming what they are in their time, rokk stepped up alongside garth and took over the reigns of the legion where he adjusted quite naturally to the calling. after time, though, rokk felt like he wasn’t doing enough, that his fellow legionnaires didn’t think he was doing enough, so he started to consider a change in leadership. he was afraid that them becoming complacent under his orders would be the downfall of the legion. thankfully, the trio returned after successfully helping to prevent the plague and things fell into a more natural state, with them once again sharing leadership and duties.
at some point down the line, rokk lost his younger brother pol. this boy was his heart and soul and everything that he loved most dearly in the world. losing him sent rokk into a tailspin that he hasn’t truly recovered from yet despite claiming that he’s fine. he misses his brother and carries the blame and guilt of it; he knows that his brother’s actions were his own -- he sacrificed his own life by committing suicide to save the world. in doing so, rokk blames himself because pol only ever wanted to be like his older brother, a hero in the world’s and his eyes.
with brainy in the past due to attack on ais, rokk is doing what he can to make sure that his friend and teammate can come home again.
