See the thing about Michael Sheen and David Tennant as collaborators, the thing that makes them such a dynamic duo, is that Michael Sheen plays all of his characters as gay with such intention and force of will that it very nearly feels like malice aforethought. Whereas David Tennant has never played a character that didn’t have such an aggressively transgender aura that it drips off of him, but I’m not convinced he was aware of that until like two years ago. It really adds that extra bit of spice to their creative partnership.
