Can I just talk about how beautiful Kate looks as a Viscountess? And the dress? The way they made her style very Indian and desi? Even her jewelleries are gold and jhumka-like? As a dark skinned brown girl who have faced colourism in her own country, watching Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma healed me. And seeing her wearing a proper indian gown and looking every bit of Indian as she is, in a mainstream popular english series and shown as an 'object of desire' and a beauty? I can't even explain how much it means. I'm glad they didn’t try to make her into a British lady, making her wear very victorian english gowns. Instead they let her have her own style, own cultural influence. I mean you can literally wear her entire look in a South Asian wedding and it will actually be very much in style.
Thank you Bridgerton. Thank you Shondaland. You healed something in me you didn’t even break.

i'm not mad that they broke them up in e5, but I am kind of worried that whatever ending we get will be unsatisfying now
if they stay broken up, we watched all that just for them to break up, and that kinda sucks even if it was the right thing for them. it'll have its own really cool meaning about how real life works or whatever but come on
if they get back together, the episode better be longer than usual because it's highly unlikely they can make that make sense, especially as a satisfying end to the whole show and not something that'd still be a loose end for another season, in just 45 minutes

I just saw a girl on tiktok talking about how her Palestinian grandma won’t be able to renew her passport with her place of birth as Palestine. She will have no place of birth.
Tell me why people were trying to compare it to Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia etc.
My whole ass family was born in Czechoslovakia. Guess what. They now have a passport in Czechia/Slovakia, depending on where they lived. They have a country to call their own. They have some of the strongest passports in the world.
Palestinians are intentionally being eradicated. Their land bombed and stolen. Please educate yourselves before you say bullshit on the internet.

S3 ending is basically putting a bandaid on a gunshot. The entire 5 episodes were built to show how bad they are for each other. I mean yeah monarchy was a big part of it but Wilhelm's problems are his problems alone. It's not gonna go overnight just because he will abdicate, neither will the scrutiny on them. Wilhelm will still be privileged, out of touch, someone with anxiety, impulsive urges and anger issues. Taking away his title will mean nothing because now he will have to deal with the real world which he has no experience dealing with and no support or protection from the monarchy. Do you think he will cope well then and wont take it out of simon?
I feel like they wasted 5 episodes worth of time building plots with no payoff. They could have easily explored Wilmon's trouble and their eventual reconciliation in this time. Putting an abdication bandaid doesnt fix their problem.
We can be delulu but in the Wilmon universe, they don't last, they dont work out in the end because abdication doesn’t fix their problems, not really.
I'll just pretend the series ended in s2. Because S2's ending was actually perfect and that Wilmon may have a chance in the world.

I am all about realistic ending/ story telling rn. I mean I am usually a sucker for realistic stories however I thought YR was gonna give us a sort of fictional ending. But you know what?
I hope they break up. They are too young and too incompatible and their whole situation is extremely toxic. They simply do not have the wisdom or the resources to overcome that.
I hope Hillerska closes down. That school is trouble and the kids there are privileged pricks.
Also why is everyone surprised that Erik was an asshole? He was the heir to throne, a charming prince who thrived in attention and had the immaculate social skills. He was the epitome of privilege and wealth. If anyone can turn into an asshole, it's him. I hope more negative things comes out about him.
Happy YR farewell day to those who are celebrating. This fandom will be missed (I dont know what to do with this account anymore)

Simon : *fighting for his life
Wille : can we makeout now 👉🏻🥰👈🏻
this season is so weird because the whole plot is just simon being like "the whole monarchy fucking sucks, the system and people in it are racist and homophobic and fascists and you need to use your privelege to do something about it" and wille just looks at him with his big brown eyes and is like "can we jus kiss... :((((( ur being so serioussss :((("

Linda is a better mom than me because if someone treated my 16 years old baby boy the way Wilhelm and the court have treated Simon, I would have never let Simon get anywhere near him.

Let me explain 'Why Wilhelm and Simon are not good for each other after s3" in real life example.
I have a very good friend who is going through a hard time as we both have moved to a new country. While I struggle with homesickness and loneliness and everything that comes with being away from home, she is struggling more. Which ended up her lashing out on me multiple times out of her own frustration and insecurities even though I always did my best to take care of her. Now I told another friend this exact quote few days back that "I understand what she's going through but I can't be considerate towards her at my own expense"
That's what's happening with Wille and Simon too. Wille is undoubtedly going through a hell, has been for last one year. But Simon is also struggling greatly and he has a past of living in a toxic household. For Willhelm not acknowledging what Simon goes through on a daily basis or how privileged he himself is or using Simon as his own prize whom he can dote on when he is feeling good and dump his pain when he is down, is not a mark of a healthy relationship. And Simon tried, he let everything slide everytime. He accepted the public backlash when he was a proud teenager and we all know how social media comments affect young people. He accepted Wilhelm's apology everytime he lashed out on him. He tried taking care of Wilhelm and Wilhelm mistreated him multiple times. The argument in the Palace was Simon's last straw because he saw how much Wilhelm is hurting and how toxic his family is and Simon can't be a solution to that. He will only suffer if he gets sucked in to that situation. Wilhelm has a lot of healing to do before their relationship can be healthy. Wanting to have a healthy relationship when you are only 16, after seeing your parents having a toxic relationship, is not wrong. And you can see how Simon got overwhelmed by grief as well, half for Wille and half for himself. Again I know Wille is suffering but Simon is not responsible to be the balm that heals him because he too is suffering because of his relationship with Wille. So if Wilhelm can't even respect Simon in this relationship for which Simon is suffering so greatly for, what is he getting out of it exactly? Why would he date Wille after that?
My bet is that the E6 will be open ended in a way that will work toward being with each other but if you ask me, even if there is no more episodes and stories after this, Wilmon is doomed. Maybe if they showed a future where they crossed path again and gave it a try as adults, it would be a good realistic ending but otherwise they are doomed.
Which also confuses me because after the first 2 seasons it gave us the impression that Wilmon is not a realistic couple, they might be young but they are it for each other. So what baffles me that why did Lisa decide to pull out this 'Realistic Card' at the last season while undoing all the character development that was done to these characters. Honestly I am just disappointed at S3 at this point.

Okay I know August is a sex offender/ criminal. I know. I KNOW OKAY?
But then tell me why I was rooting for him more this season than Wilhelm? All Wilhelm's character growth felt like went to waste this season. He acted like a petulant child. I know he is under a lot of pressure and pain but as a story I wanna see some character growth. Where was it though? It felt like he got the boy he liked so now he want Simon to be all lovey dovey with him when he is happy or be his emotional support when he is dealing with his shitty family. At this point I really don't see what Simon is getting out of this relationship. Yeah Wille is cute and sappy and all. But his dick isnt that good that Simon should stay with him, despite what he puts him through.
August though, great character development. If I rooted him and Sara over Wilmon this season, despite knowing his past actions, it's because the writers did a better job with developing August-Sara than Wilmon.

I mean it was a bit longer but that's it
Ya'll don't be so excited about the hallway scene. Knowing YR, it probably is literally as much as it shows in the trailer 💀

Wilhelm might be a hopeless romantic and madly in love with Simon, but my dude is NOT a good boyfriend. The way he barely ever defend Simon against Vincent and even when he does it's so mild. Like why arent you dragging him through the mud? Also the way my boi takes Simon for granted. Like bruh werent you crying and kicking to your mommy for this boy? Now what happened?

Okay Lisa, when I said I like angst I didnt mean yes please convince me how Wilhelm and Simon are not good for each other. Yes I knew their compatibility is like almost negative but the first two seasons were like 'Awee but they love each other' but this season is like hashing out every single way they are just wrong for each other and their love is just being young and hormonal. Episode 6 needs to fix this big time.

Simon is just like me. I too have a breakdown in public transports while having my headphones on, using some sad music as background, staring out through the window, acting like I'm in a tragic movie scene. All of my worst breakdowns have been like this.
