3 years ago yesterday I had my first ACL replacement - I would have celebrated my milestones by running a pile of miles yesterday but instead I was momming a sick kid/sick myself. But today, shoutout to these two beautiful friends of mine: Rachel @rachelperson21 is strength and encouragement and the epitome of empowerment. As she’s recovering from her own injury, seeing her grace is such a motivation. Amanda @mandajoy81 is a breath of fresh air, and has such a comedic honesty in her insanity that makes it hard to say no to another pile of burpees no matter how much you want to. Both of these women have helped me grow tremendously both emotionally and physically in the last three years, and I can’t imagine not having either of them in my life! One week ago I filled up my gas tank here and purchased a car wash. The receipt never printed. I went inside with Tommy as we had about 10 minutes until school started and we didn’t weigh as a cashier grandpa Lee waiting on a few people, gas up with a few more. When we finally got to the front I informed her what had happened and requested a copy of my receipt. She began yelling and at one point called me stupid and told me to shut up in front of Tommy. Long story short, I never got my receipt which means I never receive my car wash. I have been trying to reach just about anyone who will listen. I’ve been hung up on when requesting you manager, I tried contacting regional and corporate Mobil Exxon via CS numbers and emails. I wasn’t going to blow this up. I didn’t want to get dramatic. It’s $10. But it’s been a week and I didn’t even get more than a generic auto-response from corporate, which is so pathetic. #exxonmobil @exxonmobil #thief #badgasstation #consumerwarning #buyerbeware (at Mobil)

@fightlikemiles While at WDW, a woman approached me at an unassuming moment while I was hiding pennies for friends coming the following week, and handed me this little kit, informing me it was a little act of kindness. She asked I read the attached card later and enjoy with my family and at a later date just pass it on to someone else. Me being me, I started reading it right then and there and looked up the Instagram account, and in turn started ugly crying in front of Peter Pan’s Magical Flight, my daughter’s and my special ride - shortly later I realized Peter Pan is special to this family as well. 💛 Miles and his family have deeply touched me, and I hope his story resonates with you as well. First I had to find my favorite parkside bench, which meant walking about a mile here. And then... The Annual Florida bench workout, inspired by @rachel.l.person and her #bodybyrachelbootcamp (this makes me giddy every year for summer bootcamp!) - push ups with a flip to dips, side step ups with knee lift, forward steps with a glute extension, plank walk with 5 pushups on each end for 10 sets... and then I did my favorite masochistic sprint to the shade cardio burst for 2.5 miles. I probably look insane running 6 feet and then walking for two, running for a half mile and then walking for 3 feet and so on, but knowing I can savor the shade keeps me moving fast! 😜😅 (at Sun 'N Lake Golf Club)
