"I feel the same, Blake. While I love Yang as much as you do, your friendship is something I absolutely treasure and cannot afford to lose." he replied to her as he scooted next to her as they watched the campfire in front of them. Even when he was at his lowest when he was waging his war against Adam Taurus and the White Fang for what happened at Beacon, Blake was always the voice of reason and she never let him stray too far or too deep in his vendetta against Adam Taurus.

There was a clear cut bond between the three. Maybe it was because of their run ins with the White Fang, the scars they bared from Adam, or maybe they just had that kind of chemistry.

" i agree, " blake offered ray a rare smile, golden eyes staring at him, " i... really appreciate your friendship, ray. we -- yang and i wouldn't have made it through everything without your support. i'm... i'm really happy that we are all together again. " even if things got rocky, and they fell over and over again, ray was a constant support for her and yang. the arrangement the trio had now was a perfect balance to blake.

and she was sure yang felt the same; two people she loved were there for her, maybe not together all the time, but she had people who would never run away on her again. blake would rather die than ever break yang's heart. she was certain ray would probably hunt her down as well.

His face flushed red when Yang said that. It was true. Ray was madly in love with her. He had always been even going back to their days at Beacon when things were much simpler and easier. Even during his moments of doubt when he thought Yang had feelings for Blake and not him, even at the peak of his doubt when he saw Yang and Blake confess to each other in the Ever After while trapped in his own Ponderstorm and believed he had lost the war for her heart; he never stopped loving her. It just came naturally to him and he had no idea how to function otherwise.

"Y...yeah. Plus it's a pretty nice view." he said as he intertwined his fingers with hers and sighed before leaning his head against hers. He was grateful for how things turned out.

" this was said with a cheeky side grin towards her boyfriend, who she was currently leaning against, fingers interlocked with his own. they were seated at the top of a building, legs dangling over the edge; yang kicked her feet as she stared up towards the setting sky.

His only response was to slowly reach for Yang's hand and gently envelop it with his own fingers. "Oh, there was no doubt in my mind that we could never return to how things were." he replied to the blonde. If this were the old Ray before the Fall Of Beacon, he likely would have had a more optimistic outlook. However the Fall had changed him. The Fall Of Beacon, the deaths of his team, and his near-death experience at the hands of Adam while trying to protect Blake and Yang so they could escape had changed him. He was far more cautious, almost skittish at times. He was, for lack of a better phrase, traumatized and there was a clear sadness in his eyes. His shy and bashful innocence forever shattered. But what hurt the most, more than the scar across his collarbone courtesy of Adam that would sometimes throb with varying degrees of pain at the most inconvenient of times, was seeing Yang in this state. He cherished her for her bubbly personality, her charm, and he looked up to her for her confidence and her strength. Not to mention her beauty. As far as he was concerned, she walked on water to him. Whenever he needed that extra boost of confidence or strength, he drew it from her. Now? Now he wasn't so sure. Now he felt he might need to be the one to support her.

But then Yang mentioned 'She'. Who was she referring to? Her teammates like Weiss? Maybe even Blake? As far as he knew, Blake was MIA. Her current whereabouts unknown. He had grown close to Blake before the Fall. They meshed well due to their anti-social, introverted ways so they got each other quite well. Yang was always the one to help bring out their real nature and bring them out of their shells. If he was being honest with himself, he was worried for her and hoped she was safe. Ruby? Thankfully she was with whoever remained from Team JNPR, so at least she was likely safe with friends.

"Yang, I don't know how much this matters coming from me. But....." he paused for a moment as he bit his tongue to really think about what he was going to say. He gulped. "...I'm here." he finished as he gripped her hand a little tighter. "It's going to be a while. But I think we'll bounce back. It's just going be different from now on. But until then, I am here for you."

" same here... " she finally spoke after a long silence between them. yang wasn't trying to be selfish about this matter, she knew so many were hurt by adam, by the fall of beacon, but... but she couldn't help it. she lost a piece of her, a part of her body that she took the most pride in.

" dad's here, and uncle qrow visits sometimes... we... we're safe here, " she released a quivering breath, fingers clutching her blanket as she looked down, hot tears welling up into her eyes, " we... nothing will be the same after this... ray... she just... left. she... " yang's voice strained as emotions overwhelmed her. who was she? blake? ruby? summer? ... raven? for all she knew, it was every single one of them. abandoning her at her most vulnerable, leaving her to deal with everything on her own.

god, she was angry, so angry it felt disgusting; it made her skin hot, her insides churn. it wasn't a beautiful, burning rage, it was nasty, vile -- unsightly. she was unsightly...

Don’t put too much Weight on RP.

Take a break. RP should not dictate your life. If you find it dictating your mental health, it’s likely a time to take a step back. RP is a hobby. It can be frustrating if people aren’t replying to memes/starters/etc. But remember timezones are a thing, sometimes other people aren’t in the best mental state themselves, sometimes people are too busy IRL to watch the dash, sometimes they have writer’s block. There will be other days. There will be other interactions. People still care about you and your muse(s). Try again later, there is no shame in reblogging stuff from yourself.  But do not guilt people into interacting with you.

At the end of the day RP is a hobby. We’re here to have fun. Don’t let it dictate everything.
