I am currently working on a project for a club I am a part of, known as the TED Ed Student Talks program. I am trying to get a large number of responses for this form so I can include the data gathered in my project!
The subject matter is about the 6th mass extinction we are currently facing and the decline in the number of animals seen on the day to day. In the end, the data will be compiled into my Talk to, hopefully, show the decrease of biodiversity throughout the globe
Please consider filling out the form below to help me out!
Dare I say the comments on social media posts about keeping wildlife as pets *cough* saveafox and juniperfox *cough* are sometimes worse than the shit you see fox feeders say
Cody Roberts of Daniel, Wyoming chased down a yearling wolf pup on a snowmobile, ran over it once it was too tired to flee, then duck taped the wolf's mouth and paraded the injured but still living wolf pup around town before finally putting it out of its misery. So far he's been fined. $250. That's it. This man is a monster and deserves to be locked up.

Below the rain frog is an orca. Above the orca on the left side is a stoat. On the right of the stoat and orca, below the grizzly, is a blackbuck. On the bottom right of the screen is a sawfish. Above the sawfish is a black footed cat

The Bearded Vulture is the only known animal whose diet is almost exclusively bone.
The bone-eating giant bird which coats itself minerals like copper to get its rusty hue for unknown cosmetic reasons, most likely to show dominance. The brighter the hue, the more dominant the male.
They probably need the copper because its anti-bacterial properties. useful if you’re a carrion eater.
The bird has a 9 ft wingspan.
Bearded Vultures provide an indispensable service to the ecosystem, checking the spread of disease by consuming corpses. But the bearded’s diet is 95 percent bone. It can wait for the other scavengers to strip the body clean, then stroll in at its leisure to take its fill.

What are your thoughts on the wolf conservation center in New York? I went there to celebrate my birthday once and it was pretty cool, at least from the perspective of someone who doesn't quite know the ins and outs of animal sanctuaries. The tour was educational, and they never forced the wolves to do anything. They said that all we can do is call and hope they'll come and if they don't, oh well. There were some wolves we were able to get a bit closer to, like their ambassador wolf at the time (rip Atka), but we were never close enough to do anything stupid and there was always a fence separating us. They also have a twitch channel where they stream the wolves going about their business, and its pretty cool if somewhat dull when they're not on camera.
Anyway, they seem okay from what I can tell and their biggest problem is anthropomorphizing the wolves a lil bit, but I couldn't tell of any other problems. But like I said, I'm no expert. I only know what I saw and it seemed fine on a surface level.
